My Fiancé just left firehouse subs on her birthday unable to get her free sub because of an app error, the manager on duty was rude and did not try to resolve the problem. We come here every once in awhile but I'll never be back. Enjoy being stingy, there are plenty of sandwhich shops around that actually like their customers and like to make situations right. Went to Starbucks and got the free drink without a problem, that's a real company Update I called corporate and left an official complaint, I am to be contacted within two days. They were very apologetic on the phone, I plan to file this complaint against the owner who was rude on the phone and backed up his manager. His name is Julian and the lady from corporate said it is NOT required to have it loaded in the app just need to show ID. She also said the current app is NEW and many people are having issues with the birthday reward. I plan to follow through on this situation until it has been resolved, I never want anyone to have the experience that my fiancé did and I will make sure this does not happen to anyone else. read more

I am always on the hunt for a good sub sandwich. Surprisingly, I had never tried Firehouse Subs until recently. How was it that I had not tried this chain? Anyways, came here recently on a Friday night before closing and we ordered our food to-go and waited outside before we were called in to pick up once our order was ready. Ordered one New York Steamer sandwich (medium) and one Italian sandwich (medium) to share on white brea. The medium is the perfect size. They also have a nice selection of free add ons-olives, pickles, etc. I asked for some peppercorn ranch and honey mustard sauces on the side. The sandwiches were really tasty and I was very pleased with the quality of the bread and meats. The sauces were delicious too and were good to dip in. What an awful experience we had a fire house subs in Laguna Hills!! We had $50 worth of gift cards and had left over credit (proof of prior receipt + cards which stated $20 remaining) so I made the drive from Dana Point (a long drive!) just so we could use our remaining credit. Our order was ready to go but when I went to pay, I was told the cards were invalid?! She tried to enter them in manually but said "it wouldn't work and I would have to call the customer service number on the back of the card." Really?! I have eaten at this Firehouse Subs several times to get a good sampling of their cleanliness, customer service, and food quality. I typically have the sub of the day which is a sale on a whole sandwich. My preferred sub is the hot meatball. All of the subs I have eaten here are good and the price is as well, when bought on special. The store is consistently clean when I come in and the service is always friendly. They have plenty of in and outdoor seating and it is convenient to gas, groceries, starbucks, banks, even a nail salon. The drinks come from one of those computer touch screen fountain dispensers. I have taken the opportunity to sample every flavor of coca-cola, mello-yello, and sprite they have. This store is my second favorite sandwich place after Second Reef Deli. The main advantage of this place over Second Reef is that it is closer and it costs less. Where Second Reef Deli cost about $10 for a their sandwiches Firehouse I can get the special for about $6. So Firehouse wins on price and convenience. Second Reef Deli wins on taste. read more

I asked for tuna on sourdough with pickles, sweet peppers, cheddar, honey mustard toasted and it was just like I make it. Mainly because I don't eat too much bread and second, it's next to Starbucks on a busy street and usually while I'm waiting for a meeting nearby. The last time I was there, I ordered a salad: Romaine, tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, pepperoncini, and dressing, with grilled chicken breast (usually comes with mozzarella, I don't do dairy). I asked him what's in the sandwich and he told me to look up on the menu screen which is totally fine lol but his attitude towards guiding me towards the screen was disrespectful. I added onions. The reason for the 3 stars is because either they need to beef up their portions or lower their price. Normally I am not into sweet sandwiches and I didn't realize that the Italian sandwich had a sweet dressing on it, but I ended up liking the sandwich quite a bit. There's genoa salami, pepperoni, ham, melted provolone, Italian dressing, Italian seasonings and they add a "Fully Involved" to it (that is deli mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and onion. A wrapped dill pickle is on the side). For this sandwich, the smallest size is 8 inches. Their wheat bread is pretty tasty. After trying Firehouse, I would go again to try out more of their menu.
