Firehouse Sub Downtown - Placed a large lunch order through the app last night. After speaking with the store the day before and letting them know I need it at a certain time. The app said it was going to be an hour later than I needed it and no way to change it. Not only did they have the subs ready when I needed them (the original time) every sub was made correctly. I gave 2 stars because the food quality is a 4 out 5 but the customer service is at 0. After waiting in line for 10 minutes it took another 15 before my sandwich was finished. The worst part was watching the 3 employees moving from 1 station to the next and ignoring the line. I was late back to work which acquired me a point for bad attendance and had to eat my lunch on my break 2 hours later because it might be called a lunch hour but in reality it's 30 minutes. During a lunch rush 1 person should stay at the register taking orders as the rest of the employees make the food. Usually we call in our order but they were not answering the phone. Lesson learned today, if you cannot pre order over the phone don't bother wasting your time or lunch period. read more

Came to Lansing for work. Typically go to Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's but decided to try Firehouse. Tried to order from the app and on the website before hand to avoid waiting in line during the lunch hour. Neither worked so decided to walk there. Line was super long. After waiting 10 minutes to get to the front of the line was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait for food. Fine, I've already waited in line for 10 minutes to get to this point. I'm committed now. Ordered a create your own sub with veggies and asked it be cold. Gave a list of the items I wanted. After waiting 15 minutes to get my sub I get it and the bag feels warm like it was a warm sub. Wasn't going to wait back in the line because there were people everywhere. Got back to work and realized they had rang me up for a veggie sub that has mushrooms on it and it was warm. Asked for chopped pickles and banana peppers on it and neither were. I also saw a side looked like it had some type of dressing on it...like it touched something with dressing. I also asked for salt and pepper and it didn't have that in it. For the time that was spent waiting for it, at least it could have been made to what I ordered. I knew I should have went to Jimmy John's instead. Would never go back to this establishment. read more

I eat here at Firehouse subs all the time. This is my first visit to Lansing, MI location. I am pleased to see they are consistent no matter what state I'm in. They do offer military discount. The price difference is a little higher here, but I guess it comes with the cost of living. The store was clean and well kept. I stopped here because it was a familiar place. From order to finish it took about 10- 15 minutes. I got it to go because of my time. Great job! read more

Great subs!! Love having firehouse subs, the steamed cooked meat is amazing and a big game changer. The location was clean and workers were great. The soda machine is had a selection of like over 200+ choices which is great. Before COVID the had a great selection of sauces you could choose but im not sure if they still have that. Recently moved to downtown Lansing and am trying out all the food places. They have an order online and pick up service that seems to be a great idea. I created the order at 6:30pm to be ready at 6:50pm. I walked into the establishment at 6:55pm with absolutely no one in sight. An employee outside smoking a cigarette. She finishes her break and comes in just a minute later. She approaches the counter and asks our order. We said we placed one online and here for pick up. Needless to say, my order of two subs wasn't ready and it's now 7:05pm and I'm still waiting here. This was supposed to be a quick pick up service and the employees are blaming one another which shows that this place is dysfunctional. I was very excited for this place and now I'm leaving with a bad taste in my mouth and a dislike for this place. But hey, at least the food is fresh lol read more

I will start by saying I've never been more insulted In a food establishment than this place. T mobile Tuesday did a coupon in conjunction with firehouse subs. The Two Owners basically discussed how we were robing them by using that coupon off in the distance and while we waited on our food. 5 minutes of just complaining as if we weren't in the room. But if you have ever called In to place an order, or placed one online, you know they DO NOT even acknowledge the phone ringing and online orders are ALWAYS 15 minutes longer of a wait than any other sandwich. My son and I stopped in about a 1/2 hour before close on a Friday night. The two employees made no attempts to cover their disgust (they started shutting lights off while we were still waiting for our food at 15 minutes til close). BTW, my sandwich turned out to be mostly onions, with some green peppers, cucumbers, black olives, pickles, mustard and mayo. So, essentially an onion sandwich for $7. We came here starving after an afternoon in Lansing. Hubby had experienced Firehouse in Berkley but my son and I were first timers. We split the large turkey bacon ranch sub which was pretty good and they have Miss Vicki's chips so that was a bonus. Hubby said this location's sub was a little more messy but the taste was consistent. It almost reminds me of a Quizno's sub, but in a good way. I loved that they had grilled cheese on the kid's menu and that it came with a "dessert", cookie or a brownie. My son isn't a huge fan of lunchmeat so I was a bit nervous and the grilled cheese was a perfect choice. His favorite thing was the plastic fire chief hat, which we had to grab ourselves. As a first timer, I would have appreciated more information about where to get everything that came with the meals but overall it was a good experience. I probably won't be back to that location as we don't live in the area but the under 500 calorie options looked really delicious for future reference! read more
