I never been to this place before but it was an awesome visit. The cashier was such a Doll just because she took her time with the 4 of us making sure when get what we ordered. Her name is Ms Britney The food was great and the place was very clean. I didn't take pics of my food because we were press for time

Firehouse Subs are some of my favorite destinations for sub sandwiches and for me, it's almost always the meatball sandwich. I think the reason is it's something that brings back fond memories of growing up and loving them as a kid. My aunt made a mean meatball grinder. One time I ate 3 of them in one sitting, something my belly regretted for the next couple of hours. The concept here is counter-served fresh ingredient offerings made-to-order by a friendly staff and the result is delicious consumable food. Just from experience, some of the most popular items on the menu include the Italian Sub, the Club on a Sub, and the Firehouse Meatball Sub. They also offer a variety of sides, such as mac and cheese, chips, and cookies. Get a combo and save. Oh, and the fountain drinks are all the same price no matter which size you choose. They cover a whole range of sauces from mild to very hot. You can also add a variety of sauces to your subs, including Firehouse Original, Sweet & Spicy BBQ, and Honey Mustard. They offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Super friendly, clean, and located near the intersection of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd.

All good on this first delivery from this particular Firehouse location . Order was correct and delivered in a timely manner - Bravo !

I've eaten here twice, and both times the subs were underwhelming. This last time my sub was drenched in sauce and the bread falling apart. Lastly, Firehouse is very overpriced for what you get. A small 4inch sub for $9 is way too pricey. Go to Mike's Deli down the street, the subs are better and for a few dollars more you get a superior sandwich.

Amazing service and hospitality! The man knew his hot sauces for my sandwich. Which was actually amazing for my sandwich!

I cannot rave enough about Firehouse Subs. My wife took me there to tag along. I ordered a tuna fish sub. I was going to eat half and save the half later, but I couldn't do it. It was so delicious. I had the whole wheat roll. I ate the entire thing in one sitting, then returned and got a foot-long and ate the whole thing in one sitting. Also, my wife and children love their sandwiches. It is amazing. I also love that they like to do serious community service work. Several checks of over $1 million have been raised and donated to community efforts. Eating at the firehouse is a win-win situation for everyone. The atmosphere is clean, and the restaurant's ambiance is a deli counter experience. I highly recommend the Firehouse Subs at Madera Heights.

    ### 2023 review 14/100 ### Since the SaMo location closed down, I came here for my Italian footlong. Ordered ahead on the app with all my fixings + also added a comment: do not cut my sub in 2. Showed up 5 mins after notification that my order was ready. But the girl behind the counter was just about to start making my sub. No biggie. 10mins wait she said. Guess fresher made! Then she asked me if I want all the ingredients and lettuce/tomatoes, etc. boxed on the side. Ugh? Oh she thought I meant "do not cut the bread" when I noted do not cut my sub in 2. LOL. Nope I'd like you to assemble my sub please ^_^ hahaha too funny. Fresh ingredients. Nice cut deli. Only thing is I would ask for the dressing on the side 'coz it gets the bread soggy too quick. Easy parking in lot. My new go-to location.

Ask mustard, point which mustard, I'm ONLY PERSON HERE at 9:05pm Tues- I hear the girls bla bla talking- nobody used any mustard. ‍
    Big L.

Employees tonight not sharp. 1) She never heard of the chicken parm- I had to show her on my phone, then the other woman told me no it's no longer here 2) She SPECIFICALLY said there's no specials today- but aren't there specials every day? It's Tues, my opening words were "Turkey bacon ranch?". So is she denying discounts to EVERYBODY all day??? Costing everybody a extra $2? Maybe management knows this **** 3) She and I pointed at the Dijon mustard together - on their little display box- I pleaded for extra on my sammich. Then I get home - NOOOOO mustard. Like ZERRRROOO. I was the ONLY person ordering- not like a busy time with a line. They were just back there gossiping. 4) I still left a $2+ tip at the beginning. This is not a helpful practice I would think at least mustard would come out of it.

Got to try this Chicken Parmesan Meatball Sub @ FireHouse Subs

I don't throw out 5 Stars very often. I'd go as be to say I rarely do, but Firehouse Subs straight up earned it! So let's start with the bad because let's face it, there isn't much bad! The parking lot and location is the worst that I can say negative about this place! If you're headed bear coming west bound on Slauson there is no left turn into this shopping plaza, so head up to the light at Home Depot and make a Uturn. It can get busy at lunch time and the parking lot only has one drive way in and out so it can get congested at times. But that's the bad, that's it! The good, and it's OH SO GOOD! Until today, I had very visited a Firehouse Subs, but the commercials currently running for the Parmesan Chicken Sub running on TV, I had to seek out this place. Sadly this location is the closest to me within 25 miles! (Please fix that asap!). The bread is super fresh and when a hot sub, it's toasted perfectly for an outer crust and soft inside! The Parmesan Chicken Sub is served on toasted garlic bread which let's face it, that's the way all meatball subs should be done! The chicken meatballs were so flavorful and the provolone melted cheese on top was perfection! My only complaint was my own doing and I ordered a small (which is half of a 6" sub) and i deprived myself of the deliciousness of a whole sub! TIP: Go Big! You're going to wish you did! The location was clean, had friendly employees making the most delicious subs which let's face it, within one block this street has amazing sandwich competition, but Firehouse is bringing it! They hold up against some of the best Subs LA has just down the street! And the fact that they give back to local first responders and fire departments earned them the extra star in my heart and belly! I'll be back & I'll be back often!

Jalen had exemplary service. Suggested I try the spicy Cajun chicken sandwich and I think I'll only be ordering that from now on!

I always order the Italian - best sub in town! Great sauce, fresh ingredients
    Dave W.

Easy parking, great sandwiches! Best sub in town. Wish there was one closer to me ( west side). I always get the Italian, with cheddar and sour cream Ruffles and orange Fanta zero drink. Great chip and drink selection. They even have gluten-free bread.

My son suggested we stop at Ghost Sando Shop before I dropped him and his fiancée off. Great idea. My wife and I shared the Kickin' Chicken: chicken, BLAST spread, chipotle adobo, melted mozzarella and sharp cheddar, topped with lettuce, pickled jalapeño, tomato, and white onion. It was delicious. The guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming, and even delivered our sandwiches to us as we sat outside at one of the shaded tables - it was pleasant if you need a spot to eat versus taking it to go. One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. It was delicious and the Dutch crunch bread was a good amount of crunch without being too hard that would rip open the roof of your mouth. I love the vegetable mix with it that included roasted peppers, pepperoncini but the Melrose spread was a tad bit much where it just oozed off the sandwich paper wrap. The sauce was good but a tad bit excessive. The staff was very nice but the food took longer than expected. Maybe that's because of them making it fresh but it seemed a tad bit longer than I expected for a non busy time I went (11am). Atmosphere is just your "fast" casual with outdoor seating which be nice when it doesn't become too cold or hot weather wise.

Guess what they wanted as soon as they touched down? You got it! Sorrento's Italian Market here in Culver City! Now supposedly over the weekend they're going to make up for their surprise and lack of common courtesy by taking me to some nice restaurant apparently! I'll believe it when I see it. Settled on some hard salami and the sheer smell that emanates from the market. You've heard of or better yet even witnessed the smell that emanates from Pirates of the Caribbean? Well, Sorrento's market has its own unforgettable smell, and it usually winds up in a net gain of about 5 to 10 lb for your waistline. So other than some hard salami, I was sure to get the you know what out of here quickly! But do come by folks! Come from near and come from afar. My family just came from New Orleans (which happens to be the 1st city-yeah even before New York...that saw Sicilians specifically bring their great cuisine to this land) and the first thing they wanted was some hard salami from Sorrento's 2,000 miles away! Lol The spirit of Sorrento's market lives on through current owner Albert Vera Jr, who continues to do his father, mother, and the city of Culver City proud. It's not Culver City if there's not a Vera somewhere, somehow.
