Use to come to this location all the time. The food is not bad but they really need to fixed their dining room. It's a mess. To the point that there is no dining area anymore. Just chairs were people that order wait for their food to go. You may say that they are doing this to protect their employees. Well no one was wearing a mask. Boxes everywhere chairs and tables piled in corners. Where is the owner / manager?

I ordered takeout from here on Friday night via Grubhub. I've never had them before, and I like that there's an option to get a small sub that's around 3-4inches. I ended up doing the small subs on 4 different specialty subs they had, so I was able to have a sample and see which one I like more for future reference. Though it was probably a pain for the sandwich builder. I ended up trying their spicy Cajun chicken, firehouse meatball, Italian, and the turkey bacon ranch. I did wheat bread, and I also removed mustard from all 4 sandwiches -- it normally comes with the sandwich. Their wheat bread tasted a bit like a sweet roll, I didn't really like the hint of sweetness, as I typically prefer plain bread. After having all 4 sandwiches, I can't say I have a favorite, but I definitely wouldn't do the turkey bacon ranch. It's not my sip of tea, it tasted like condiments made up more than half of the sandwich. The spicy Cajun chicken gave me a kick, but it wasn't overbearing which I can appreciate. The meatballs were delicious, and they gave managed to give me at least 2.5 meatballs despite having such a small piece of the sandwich. If I have to pick, the Italian would be my first choice as it's a blending of all of the ingredients together, but spicy Cajun chicken and the firehouse meatballs are also a great option. The order was accurately made, and they followed all of my instructions despite me asking for a lot. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for a sub sandwich.

They were attentive . However, their attitudes were not very welcoming. Girl at front specifically. But nothing major.

If you come here, I suggest you do so when you have a good hour or two for a lunch break.

This location is always closed earlier than their stated hours. If you can't find help, don't bother having this location. Rediculous.

Mediocre at best. With all the competition in the sub industry, I don't expect it to last long. Staff was extremely unwelcoming to boot.

The staff was attentive and accommodated our every wish and went out of their way to make us happy. The food was delicious; we ordered baked chicken, Italian beef, potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans and salad. The price was more than fair and the portions were incredibly generous, loads of guests even left with containers of food for the next day. One of our guests commented that the room was the perfect mix of a sports bar and nice restaurant. I would highly recommended them for any special event.

Lawlor's is one of the many such places around here if it wasn't already obvious. A little farther away from the Beverly bars and hangouts. The menu is basic and there's pretty good prices. Basically we walked over here after hitting a few other of the area bars. It's actually in a new location. The older one used to be located closer to 111th and Pulaski. It was a true dive. This one though is a lot more modern looking. Has the same drinks but with food that's also edible. There's still a charm to it though. It's about $5 to get Jameson. There's also plenty on tap. It's about $7 for the Pretzel Bites. Kind of basic with a side of cheese sauce. I used mustard. The rest of the menu has meaty items like pork chops and things like that. Good place to come hang a bit. It's in a new location about a mile away from the old one. This is worth checking out getting away from the more popular places on Western.

I had placed many online orders for pick-up on my 30min lunch break, to ensure I had proper time to drive to, pick up my food, and quickly drive back from the restaurant. After a few pick-ups took around 20mins after promised time, I was pretty upset. I was told they only start making food once the person is there to pick it up, so I asked what's the point of placing an order online and receiving a pick-up time, when the food only starts to get made once you're at the restaurant to pick up? That's when the owner stepped in (My family and I have had many pleasant convos with him before at the old location), turned red, bunched up his face, and legit yelled at me "What do you expect? Do you want your fries to be cold or do you want them fresh?" (I was taken aback, and responded "I expect my order to be ready at the time indicated"). He told me I could go elsewhere. I get it. I was receiving consistently poor service and was upset when I asked the cashier about timing, so he stepped in to defend his worker. What I don't get is how you can tell a customer to go somewhere else when they're expecting their food at the time promised (or at least within 5 mins...I'm not THAT picky). Perhaps my expectations are too high?
