My go to sandwhich here is always the sweet and spicy meat all sub. The meatballs are actually full sized circle meatballs, which I prefer compared to other places that cut the meatballs into pieces in their sandwhich. The sauce is a good amount of spicy for me as well and they give you enough. This is my favorite location since it's so clean and the staff here is incredibly friendly. I've been dropping my clothes off at the cleaners next door for a few years now and was curious about this place when it opened. Finally tried it and refuse to go anywhere else for subs now. I just recently discovered Firehouse Subs and I'm a fan! I have only been to the Ontario location but the crew is great and the person I think is a manager was engaging with customers. For the fellow iced tea drinkers they have fresh brewed tea that is dark and tasty. Their Coke machine is also well stocked. It's a peeve of mine when restaurants have a Coca Cola Freestyle machine but it's out of half the flavors...claiming they are simply too busy. This is not exclusive to the Covid era. I typically order a turkey sandwich and discovered today they have one with bacon! Excellent! If I have one tiny suggestion, it is strange that a business takes time to brew iced tea....and sweet tea, but you have to ask if they have any sweetener. I like tea sweetened with artificial sweetener. The employees are busy making sandwiches and then have to dig through a little tub and say "we only have 2, is that enough?". I'm going to let that slide since this place really impressed me. read more

on 10/31/21 my boyfriend suggested that we order sandwiches from Firehouse Subs via Grub Hub. He said that he really liked them and they were tasty. Unfortunately when they arrived, i was so disappointed. i Called the store immediately and spoke to Spencer. I wasn't going to drive to the store to get the correct order but he suggested I come in at my convenience and he'd make it right! Boy am I glad I did. I came back on 11/6/21. Ordered online for contactless pick up. Ordered a Pastrami WITH modifications and a salad also with modifications. When we opened up our food the salad was made correctly the sandwich WAS NOT. I was sent an email survey about my experience. I was honest with how the sandwich was messed up and thought that was the end of it. Today a guy called me and asked about my order. I told him about the sandwich being made wrong after we had ordered it with modifications. He proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that the order did not have modifications. He didn't offer any solution to their problem and made me feel like I was in the wrong about the situation. After wasting ten minutes of my time he didn't even offer to make my visit better with any incentive. Why bother wasting my time with your lame phone call. I am even more dissatisfied with this firehouse subs location. You pay a premium price for a sandwich that is no better than the rest of the chain sandwich stores. This is the third time we ordered from this location in Ontario. I used the online ordering. I clicked on my choice and clicked the appropriate boxes to take ingredients off my sandwich and my daughter's sandwich. I am allergic to peppers so I marked "no peppers". My husband picked up the order that is already bagged and paid for. Got home and my sandwich had peppers. I cannot eat it. So I called. I was told the manager was out. So I told the girl what was wrong and her attitude was that it didn't show up on her screen so too bad. I paid $35 for sandwiches and I can't even eat mine. Won't be back. Went to Firehouse Subs in Ontario to take advantage of the "It's Name Day" free medium sandwich promotion. Firehouse's website and the sign next to the store's register states that you will receive a free medium sandwich with any purchase (excludes sides). I ordered two medium sandwiches (one regular price and the other one free) to qualify for the promotion. I was told by the employees that I also needed to purchase a bag of chips and a medium soda to receive the free promotional sandwich. No where on the website or the store's promotional sign does it say that you have the purchase chips and a medium drink to receive the free sandwich. Firehouse Subs should clearly state on their website and their promotional signs ALL of the purchase requirements. You shouldn't have to hear the additional hidden rules from the cashier. Do yourself a favor and go to NANO's DELI at 2550 S. Archibald Ave. to get an excellent sandwich without all the games. read more

I REALLY wanted to love this place - I love the idea of helping first responders. The place is less than desirable in cleanliness. The staff (really excellent service) wears gloves and masks but the feel of the business is that it needs a little cleaning!!
