    firemen and a fire truck

Ordered a large New York Steamer made with corned beef brisket, pastrami, and provolone cheese with mustard. I asked to hold the mayo and Italian dressing. With chips and a medium drink, my total came to $17.56. The Coke free style machine did not have Barq's root beer available. The air conditioning was not working, and some lady sitting at a table with her significant other kept giving me funny looks. On top of a combo costing nearly $20.00. Service was good and my sandwich was delicious. Being retired and on a fixed income, I do not go out to eat much anymore. Especially when lunch costs nearly a twenty. And with the air conditioning not working, it did not make for the best lunch out. I have always had a great sandwich at Firehouse Subs. Should I visit Firehouse Subs again, I may just order a sandwich, hold the chips and drink, and get it to go.

Firehouse is my go to spot for steamed (warm) subs. You can get cold subs too but their Specialty subs are full of clever combinations and some, have melted cheese. They have small, med, and large sizes, along with bread and salad choices. The price is very affordable with filling portions. Also, The immediate welcome greeting upon entrance is very thoughtful. I definitely recommend Firehouse, especially if you're looking for a quick bite with good service.

The skimpiest sandwich I have ever had. Yes I ordered a small but for $7. A sandwich should have more than 3 slices of meat . What a ripoff.

First, the staff deserves credit--their energy and kindness were 10/10. The person I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The food itself was good, but I was disappointed that my order was made incorrectly. I specifically asked for only tomatoes and pickles on my burger, but it came with cheese and a sauce. Luckily, I was planning to eat just the patty, so I was able to rinse it off, but if I had intended to eat it as a regular burger, it would have completely ruined the meal as the bun was covered in the sauce. My sub was excellent, and I appreciated the staff's sauce recommendations. However, I was surprised that the homemade sauce came with a $1.10 charge for each side of sauce--that feels pretty excessive. To make matters worse, I didn't even receive one of the sauces I paid for. I understand they are homemade but it is a 1.5 oz container... My biggest disappointment, though, was the chips. It may sound minor, but when a meal is priced and advertised as a complete meal, you'd expect a reasonable portion. The "side" of chips was literally about seven whole chips' worth, mostly crushed into pieces. It was especially disappointing when compared to the portion of fries. Overall, the food has a lot of potential, and the staff was fantastic, but the incorrect order, extra sauce charges, missing sauce, and tiny chip portion really took away from the experience. My advice: upgrade the chips so you actually get a side, double-check your order before you leave (even if there's no one else in there) , and be aware that the sauces cost extra.

From the moment we walked in, the staff at the front entrance was incredibly welcoming and even took the time to show us around the market. The ambience feels like a neighborhood Italian shop, with shelves lined with imported products from Italy that make it fun to browse while you wait. It's a small, casual space that feels authentic rather than overly polished. We ordered the Italian sub with sun-dried tomatoes instead of the standard toppings, along with the chicken cutlet sandwich with vodka sauce. Both sandwiches had excellent flavor and tasted fresh. The sun-dried tomatoes were a great addition to the Italian, although I do think it could have used a little more meat. Considering the price, I expected it to be a bit more generously filled. The chicken cutlet sandwich was delicious overall, but the cutlet itself was a little dry. I asked for extra sauce, and initially the employee seemed reluctant and tried to charge me for it. After I showed him how dry the sandwich was, he gave me the sauce, which made a huge difference and brought the sandwich together. That interaction was really my only service-related critique. Overall, the quality of the ingredients is excellent, the sandwiches are satisfying, and the market has a unique charm you don't find at most sandwich shops. While it's definitely on the pricier side, the authentic atmosphere and quality make it a place I'd happily come back to. I'd love to work my way through more of the menu on future visits.

After a 10 mile hike at Orlando Wetlands, I was ready to eat. I'd read about Stasio's on some…read more"best sandwich" lists and decided it was time to try it out. I will be going there after every Saturday hike forever more. The lists did not lie. Stasio's delivered the best sandwiches I have had in Florida. Walking in, I must have looked confused because I heard a knowing voice ask if it was my first time in. I admitted that it was and a delightful employee walked over to me to show me around. Stasio's has a deli counter, a coffee counter, and several shelves with Italian foods. I quickly learned that sandwiches are ordered at the deli and brought out to the waiting area when ready. Coffee is ordered at a cash register and the coffee is poured or prepared after purchase. Any prepared foods, together with sandwiches and fresh bread, are paid for at one of two registers. Despite the crowd -- and it was crazy busy -- everything was remarkably efficient and the staff showed no sign of stress. I ordered an Egg and Pepper sandwich and a Caprese Sandwich. Bread is made onsite and it was as fresh and delicious. (I ordered a loaf of Semolina/Italian bread and brought it home, where it was eaten within a few hours. At $4.99 for a loaf, it is an amazing value and a great treat!). Both the egg and pepper and the Caprese were prepared simply and to perfection. Fresh ingredients pack a lot of flavor and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Amazingly, I don't think Stasio's adds any fats to their sandwiches -- The egg in the egg and pepper, and the mozzarella in the Caprese do all the work. There are seats at a bar along the front window and a few tables outside, but I chose to eat in my car. At a peak time (like Noon on a Saturday), there was not a lot of available seating but it did seem that chairs opened up fairly quickly. After a 10 mile hike, I just did not think it was fair to anyone who might be seated next to me to have to sit next to me! No photos but others have shared enough that you can picture the experience!

So we ended up with a portion of the pork rib, the pulled pork and the pork belly. The pork ribs was really good, although my husband didn't like the glaze that they had on the rib but the meat was delicious. The pulled pork was very good not fatty, which is fantastic. The pork belly is cut into giant chunks. It is very tasty. It does have a decent amount of fat on it. This location also has a variety of sides to choose from. We opted for the collard greens and the mac & cheese. The collard greens were good. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. As some of the pieces were a bit crunchy. The mac & cheese was good although the cheese sauce felt a little gooey and we attributed to that they may use a rue to make their sauce. Overall - we enjoyed the food and would check them out again.
