The ham, turkey, and lettuce sandwiches were very fresh, savory, crispy, crunchy, flavorful, and delicious. Also, there is a good selection of super tasty chips and cold refreshing sodas, good service, nice atmosphere, and I had an excellent experience here today.

I've been coming to Firehouse Subs fir past 6 months since I moved to California. Today the whole experience changed. We ordered 3 sandwiches and order of large fries. The sandwiches had less than half tge usual amount of meat on them and I ordered the Brisket sandwich that tasted like it had been reheated not fresh.

Half of the 12" Italian sub
Paul A.

First off, a 12" sub at almost $20 with tax, seems a little high. But, it's everywhere you go these days. The Italian sandwich was very well done and tasted great! The cashier/host Kevin recommended it hot with all the fillings, which was a good suggestion. As you walk in you are welcomed with a genuine greeting and the place was spotless and had an overall nice feel.

Super. Clean and Cold

Sparkling clean.loved the Garlic bread bun upgrade the counter person suggested, great idea ! A little more expensive than say , subway etc .... But twice as nice !

These can be good to have around, as look as they're working properly. It was.

I had never been to Firehouse Subs before. I did want to eventually try it, since I've tried Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, and Subway. I went in with a friend from the High Desert to get a few sandwiches. It's in a nicer outdoor shopping center at the corner of Ramon and Gene Autry Trail, where Gene Autry Trail skirts the back of the PSP airport property between I-10 and Palm Canyon Drive. Two subs were ordered, with mine being the Italian one and other one being the Firehouse Hero. Mine made for a filling meal and served as dinner. The Hero was also reportedly good. The subs were eaten inside and the store is somewhat large. The prices are right at around $10 each. That said, I think that, even though they probably want to be considered as a unique sandwich option, the product is seemingly close to that of Jersey Mike's. Jimmy John's is its own thing all the way around and the sandwich shop I frequent the most. Subway tends to be lower priced, especially with the coupons they send out, and also reliable. I want to mention that the service was very friendly and, since these sandwiches are fairly decked out, the employees seem willing to help you understand how they are different so you can decide. It took me a while to decide. Also, this chain, through donations and their largess, does give money to various local firefighting departments. Firehouse Subs is a good choice right before heading or arriving to PSP airport and you don't want more economical fast food to tide you over. You can also take your food to one of the picnic areas from which people plane spot. Its being on Ramon is kind of funny, at least to me. In Spanish, it means Raymond. Growing up in SoCal, I only knew 3 people with this name, and all of them were from Puerto Rico, where it seems to be a popular name. Then, after you and your friends have seen "Beverly Hills Cop" countless times and know all the lines, the name Ramon makes for one of the funniest "skits" within the movie, and which only Eddie Murphy could have pulled off. It would be funnier if there was a nearby street named Serge, and even funnier if the two intersected, but there isn't. I finally ate at Firehouse Subs. I'd be willing to return to any of their stores and try another one of their sandwiches.

Good portions and cool atmosphere with fire department gear everywhere in the establishment. Love their veggie sub and the fire sauces that they provide with their orders. They also have one of those multiple soda option machines with various different flavors. Love this place.

Hot pastrami sandwich with everything on it. Chips and a drink. It's delicious. It's a great lunch. And I get a sandwich to go too. For tomorrow.....

This past weekend, I stopped in town for a long weekend to get away from work and of course had to stop in to Sherman's for a great breakfast. Inside is very large and can host many different sized groups. One of the things I love the most is all the cakes on display. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. There's also a large free parking lot attached on the side otherwise free street parking is also easy to find. Just like most delis, the menu here is gigantic. There are plenty of great options. For this breakfast, I chose the Cinnamon Roll to start and will say I was not a very big fan of it. It was giant, but it almost tasted more like dense cake and not the gooey Cinnabon type of roll. I would not recommend that. However, the Chili Cheese Omelette I got was great and that I would highly recommend. I've also had many of their sandwiches before and would recommend the Reuben especially. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the desert.

It was close to end of day so I was quick to browse the offerings before placing my sandwich order. Ended up getting a Caprese and Parma on focaccia. The staff seemed preoccupied with Cleaning but did their best to get my sandwich order out fast. I've heard nothing but good things about this place but this is my first time. I asked the lady behind the counter for a popular favorite recommendation and she seemed confused and just said everything was good. Two sandwiches around $40 so I was hoping for something great. Unfortunately we agreed that the taste was good, but nothing amazing and probably not what we were expecting for the price. Everything fell just a little bit flat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. I ended up drizzling balsamic vinegar on the Caprese at home since they only put olive oil and a little bit of pesto on the bread and the whole thing just felt lacking ever so slightly. The shop itself was clean and well kept and had a lot to offer so I still recommend stopping by and browsing for Italian goodies. Just not my favorite sandwich spot. Maybe we will try something else another day or just stick to the pasta!

However, the ordering process on a busy Saturday was a total mess. Because you order at the counter and there is no clear line system, it was a complete free-for-all with people cutting in front of each other. It was very disorganized and a bit of a headache to navigate the crowd. Despite the chaotic atmosphere, the food itself is definitely worth it. I just wish they had a better way to manage the queue during the weekend rush!

We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. I'm pretty tolerant of grumpy people (you know, sometimes there's a reason) but this just felt really icky -it was our intended destination after a hot drive from Phoenix and it did not sit well with us. Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the #14 The House. It's a house-made chicken salad with nuts and cranberries and comes with sprouts, tomato, mayo, salt and pepper on Squaw Bread. The cranberries adds a mild sweetness which balances out the mayo and the nuts adds another layer of crunchy texture and flavor which I loved. If I were to be honest, I wasn't too crazy about their bread. On both sandwiches, it was soft which was good, yet at the same time, just a bit stale. While the sandwiches initially seemed loaded, most of the ingredients are right in the middle of the sandwich where they slice it in half, so while it's very visually appealing, there's basically a ring near the crust of the bread that didn't have much toppings. As far as the Love The Club sandwich. I think they are a bit heavy handed with the salt. The sandwich was too salty. At $33 for two sandwiches, it's also a tad bit pricey. Overall good experience and will be back to try more !
