Have to say I've been here a million times always had great food and great service. Today I don't know if he was a manager or the owner blond gentleman in a black polo shirt. Rude as can be very condescending when I asked if my wife's specialty sub was correct. He grabs the receipt hold it up and screams it's written down right here. The Hero is on the top ten list of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The meat is cut deli-thin and is excellent quality (not Subway gross meat). The bread is fresh and warm and perfect! There is some kind of mustard sauce that is always just the right amount, and it all comes together to be DEEE-licious. Also delicious is the meatball sub. The bread and all ingredients are FRESH and so good! Fun drink machine, the staff is friendly, so what's not to like? ((The only sandwich I didn't love so far is the new summer Hawaiian pork thing. I do not know how I just barely noticed this place when I drive right by it at least twice a day. I am without a doubt going back there! The Pros: +The subs: I had an italian sub that was absolutely superb +The size: the $8 sub was the length of my wrist to my elbow (pretty huge!) +The ingredients: the white and wheat bread are both great and fresh, all of the meat and vegetables also were not pre-packaged foods (like subway or quiznos) the ingredients really made a different for the overall taste +The location: finding a non-franchise restaurant close to Queen Creek is a challenge in itself. This one is right down the street and great tasting. The Cons: -The price: definitely up there (comparable to Paradise Bakery's prices) -The wait time: it took a good fifteen minutes for two subs but I guess I shouldn't expect it to be faster than subway -The smoke: it is very smokey inside the restaurant (possibly the 'fire' part of the subs) read more

ATTENTIVE TO MY SON'S ALLERGIES! The management at this location is very attentive to allergy sensitive folks. They clean the station and insure safety for my son who has multiple food allergies. AND because he can't eat bread, they don't charge me for the entire sandwich - they charge for only the items we use (meat and cheese). They say that they do this as a "customer service." I am not sure exactly how I feel about Firehouse yet. I feel like I need to go back and have a redo, for my first impression might be a wee bit biased. I stopped here for my sister and decided to go ahead and try it out. She loves it and cant get enough of it. I ended up ordering 4 sandwiches for me and my family. Unfortunately, I think at this time they were a little under staffed for there were a lot of people waiting in the dining room and the 2 employees working, were rushing like crazy. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for 4 sandwiches. I was in a hurry, so I was super annoyed, so this might be why my review is biased. When I finally got home, I felt like my sandwich was mediocre, nothing to rave about. A ton of people say Firehouse is WAY better than Quiznos or Subway....... but at those places I have never waited 20 minutes for a mehhhh sandwich. My family loved their subs, but my turkey, ham and bacon sub, was just meh. This place is right down the street from my house and my sister eats here once a week, so Ill have to give it another try and see what happens. First visits aren't always the best, so you always owe it to yourself and the business to try again, because you never know. Well unless everything about the first visit was horrible. Came in Saturday night, 2 other gents waiting on subs , one guy looked very impatient but after waiting 15-20 minutes finally got our 2 subs. Stated when ordering no mayo and no onions, got home both had what else emend like extra mayo and reg onions. Called them and spoke to manager wanted us to come back 10'minute reasoning behind mistake said it was busy. Mind you 3 people waiting 1 eating so just me and the wife waiting for sub... manager Thomas needs to get it together. AWSOME place, food was fantastic, friendly people, only negative was I ordered a large sandwich because I was starving, that was a huge meal. I enjoy Firehouse Subs for the most part. I usually get the Hook and Ladder Light or the Sriracha Beef, but I've had several others and they've all been good. This was the first time I'd felt like I was annoying the cashier and that nobody greeted us when walking in. I've been to other locations in California and Arizona and was always greeted warmly and had a great experience. After we ordered at this location, my oldest daughter commented that the cashier was rude and acted like we were bothering her. I had to agree. She was very short with us. I'll continue to go to Firehouse, just not this particular location. read more
