Michele and I just tried Mr. Pickle's Crave Worthy and were absolutely hooked from the first bite. We were greeted at the counter by Moses, who was very helpful when we asked for a recommendation. We were considering the Baja Cheesesteak, and he told us it is one of his personal favorites--he has it about once a week--so that made our choice easy. We ordered the Baja Cheesesteak combo with jalapeño chips, a drink, and a cookie. We also got to try one of their pickles while we waited, and it was excellent. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and truly off the charts. Mr. Pickle's has been serving great sandwiches since 1995, and this location definitely lives up to the reputation. I have been frequenting Mr. Pickle's since the early 2000's at their OG location in San Mateo, California. I was so excited when a shop popped up in Chandler near my work, and their sandwiches are delicious. Been really into the Cali Tuna lately. I was craving one today and went to the Queen Creek location (drove 30 minutes to get there). The workers there were friendly and the place is very clean. First off (not really a biggie but a bummer), I ordered it with the sliced multigrain and the staff put in wheat roll. Was not a fan of that but didn't care enough to make a stink. And they probably just didn't hear me clearly because I don't project well. Here's the real problem: The Tuna "salad" they put in it was literally just dry tuna, as if they popped it out of a can and lightly mixed in the seasonings and called it a day. If they put any mayo when they made the tuna salad part today, it was so little it disappeared. It was also still in chunks, like right out of the can. Looks like a dry chicken sandwich. It was so dry that I added some more mayo and mustard, but it's still not the same or fixed. The pictures are after I added some on top, closed the sandwich then opened again for the pictures. So it looked worse before. And the mayo you see is not in the tuna. I'm sorry, I really am. I usually don't write reviews unless a place is so good it blows my mind and just move on if it's not good. But this is a problem and either someone was lazy or they just don't know what a tuna salad is supposed to be like....I probably won't be going back to this location, but this is feedback for the sake of the establishment and future and current customers....I understand this is a franchise location and there may be some variation, but still. In July I tried Mr Pickles for our office lunch. The food was fantastic! My sandwich (Spicy Bird) was huge and fully loaded. The team all loved their food. So I told my wife and she said she wanted to try it. Today I ordered 2 of the Baja Cheesesteak. Imagine my shock when the sandwiches were half the size as the Spicy Bird and had little on it! It looked NOTHING like the photo! Now the Spicy Bird is $3 more and there is no size of any of the sandwiches listed on the website. But that is no excuse for the PATHETIC toppings. Normally I don't ever write reviews because I believe it's a waste of time but I ordered two sandwiches the shop was empty. Still took 45 min to receive my order on the HARDEST bread ever. I eat subs every week so I had to try Mr. pickles. I'm sorry to say it was one of the worst subs I've ever had. I had the Della.s deli. It might be my fault though, I didn't notice the garlic sauce on it. Maybe that was what made the taste not so great. Service was also terrible. There was no one in front of me and it took forever to get my sandwich the girl there was polite, but the three of them making the subs just moved in slow motion and talked a lot. She apologized for the wait and I think she threw in an extra cookie. It was out of my way to go there. Might try once more if I'm in the neighborhood. Also. Too expensive for what you get $15. N. J. It makes me sad to give this rating because I used to go to the original Mr. Pickle's in California and always loved it. Unfortunately, things have changed over the years. Amazing sandwich/wrap shop! I am a huge fan of the Summer Lovin spinach wrap. It's slightly pricey, but completely worth it. The meat is high quality and very flavorful. It was my first visit to the establishment and I received a wonderful, warm greeting from Kaz! She made sure I knew what all my options were and gave me plenty of time to make my choice. I ordered their version of an Italian sub: the G.O.A.T. "With the works" and it was great! I would definitely recommend trying the restaurant at least once to anyone on the fence about it. The sandwiches were massive, lots of meat and veggies! I asked for extra lettuce and it was abundant. Everything tasted very fresh, and even the tomatoes were flavorful. Also nice that they were cored completely and sliced thick enough to taste. Both the macaroni and potato salad were good. The potato salad was tangy and had onions; absent were eggs or pickle relish. The macaroni salad was on the sweet side, but not overly so. I would agree with others that you don't get much potato salad for the price. The macaroni container was full though. We couldn't finish our sandwiches or the macaroni salad so I'm letting the great potato salad shortage slide. read more

I read some of the negative reviews and that wasn't my experience at all... although, yes, it does take a bit longer than your typical fast food sub place but I can look past that and it is more on the expensive side. I had a craving for a sub sandwich and remembered this spot just opened. We ordered 2 of their vegan options, I was excited for the avocado along with the texture of the bread and the fresh veggies. After over 30 minutes of waiting and a drive home, this is what I found when I unwrapped my food. Not one bite of avocado, hardly any veggies and a bucket full of mustard. I noticed Mr Pickles was open a few weeks but wasn't sure what it was until some friends mentioned how good their subs were and so I decided to give them a try! (My husband and I love cold cut subs). When I walked in, there wasn't a wait and was greeted right away. My order was to go and enjoyed at home. I chose the Italian with a Dutch crunch bread (I did remove some of the additional toppings) and wow it did not disappoint! The "Sammie" size was just perfect. My husband enjoyed a whole "Linda" sub with Dutch crunch bread as well and he could not stop raving about how good it was! We really noticed how fresh the deli meats tasted. Where do I start? The customer service was awful as they put us off without offering solutions to their issues of getting our order correct. The staff couldn't answer questions and continued to say manager wasn't taking calls and they couldn't help us. Just a bit put off! As a big fan of the Rueben sandwich, when I heard Mr. Pickle offers one I headed to their Queen Creek location to try one. I was not disappointed. The meat was tender and it came with generous portions of kraut and Thousand Island dressing wrapped in two slices of marble ryebread. And it came with a side order of dressing to dip the sandwich as I ate it. The sandwich also came with a cookie. The lady who took my order was very friendly. Although I ordered takeout, one can eat one's order in the store, which had an antiseptic decor. I ordered a sandwich with no mustard (even says it on the label they put on the sandwich) and it's filled with mustard and I ordered a different sub that also was incorrect.
