The Lewisville TX location used to be the best one I've been to. The atmosphere has totally changed and isn't the friendly welcoming place it used to be. You can save time ordering because they are going to give you what they want to make, doesn't matter what you paid for. If you get a to go order and it is wrong, you are the one to blame. Every time I've come here the staff is always so kind. They're patient and they don't mind helping you and talking you through what you will order. They're honest about the favorite and sandwiches and the least favorite, which is awesome. I got the "Hero" sub and it was so tasty. The contrast of the sweet ham and the slight bitterness of the roast beef and char on the toasted bread creates a magical experience. The crunch of the onions also enlighten the sandwich's experience. I love their collection of hot sauces. I watch a YouTube series called "Hot Ones" and they have some of those sauces here at firehouse so if you're ever looking to try Pain 100%, there is a high chance they'll have it in their collection. Anytime I'm in the mood for a sub, I do not ever contemplate, it will be firehouse subs as long as I am somewhere nearby! Thank you firehouse subs. I used to like the food here, but over time it has gotten to be not very good anymore. The bread used to be soft and the meat was good quality. Now the bread is hard and every time I buy the corn beef it is mostly fatty and hard. I don't think I will be returning any time soon, unless things change. I wish they had wraps but they do not. I'm giving 3 stars because they used to be good. I'm not sure if it is because of covid they are not good any more, and maybe soon they will improve again. I don't know. read more

First time eating here. My husband and I shared a combo. We split the new sandwich special. It was called the pub sandwich. Steak sandwich with cheese and canned fried onions. It was a mediocre sandwich nothing special. Took a long time to get as well. We dined in and of course my hubby finished his half first and I was still eating. The girl came around and asked if we were done just as I was taking a bite. My husband said no we're still working on it. She came by again within a couple minutes and asked if we needed anything. First time I tried this place it took 40min for them to make 2 sandwiches. People were so mad because the wait was so long. If they told me it would that long I would've went somewhere else. I tried again but this time I placed an order on grub hub for a pick up (they don't answer the phone) so I waited the time and went to pick up the food and they didn't even make it. It was packed in there so I said I wanted a refund. The kid at the counter said he didn't know how to do that. Thankfully I just called grub hub and canceled my order. Food is pretty good and slightly above some of the other chain sandwich shops. I gave them an extra star for their hot sauce bar. They have about 20 different bottles of hot sauce ranked by number from mild to hot. The employees were very friendly and helpful - maybe because they just opened. I don't have enough experience with them to know if this is their normal service level. We'll will see when I go back if they're the same. I had a chicken sandwich which was on special for about $6. Normal sandwiches run about $7.50 for the medium. Small is really small for a snack. Would I pick Firehouse over Subway, probably (Subway is cheaper). However, I wouldn't go out of my way to find one if there is a Jimmy John or Mike's closer. read more

OMG!!! I love there sandwiches. I think they are way better than Subway. But it does take a few minutes to get your sandwich, worth the wait, but if you are in a hurry you can download the app and place your order. Super cool place with very nice people. Too bad the sandwiches are so bad. I ordered the medium firehouse pub steak sandwich $8.19! I ate at the restaurant and I guess it was supposed to be a hot sub? It was not! The pictures make you think you'll get a hearty steak sandwich but that is a lie. The people helping you are very nice and tell you how great the food is so I was excited. The sandwich came out cold and I was surprised that after a few bites I still hadn't got a bite of any steak. I opened it up to find maybe 1 oz of meat! What a disappointment! If you're looking for a sandwich and are willing to pay $8 or more your better off going to jersey mikes or even subway which I know isn't that great but far better than anything you'd get at this joke of a sandwich place. I'm so disappointed with the reviews so far, everyone's gotta give this place a chance. We love firehouse! We are excited to see it come to Rancho to fulfill our quick meal fixes! We walked in around 6:00 on a Thursday and were promptly greeted by two gentlemen who were very accommodating. There was 4 employees working which was good since there was a decent amount of people coming and going. We ordered 2 lrg. hook and ladders with combos and that's plenty for 4 of us to share. It did come with a couple disappointments but definitely not ones worth me not coming back for. I'm not a soda drinker but my husband is and they were already out of Coke and Dr Pepper. I didn't realize they JUST opened until reading reviews so to me that's not a great sign, hopefully they stay up on little things like that. They also forgot our bbq sauce we added to our sandwiches BUT were quick to accommodate us with sides of it to add on our own. I'd say the best part was the sandwiches were satisfying but they really have some good workers there. Today was my first time eating at Firehouse subs. The food was great but the employees need to make sure the order is correct. I assumed she understood my order but I guess there was a misunderstanding. They also said they were going to toast my sandwich but didnt. My only suggestion to management is to make sure the employees repeat the order back to the customers. I have worked in customer service for over 11 years so I know how important it is to communicate with your customers. Like I said, the food was great but not sure I'll be back. read more

These sandwiches are so delicious. I had the Engineer and the Swiss cheese was perfectly melted. My husband had the Beef Brisket Cheddar and it was "good." The side salad is really good, it's not just lettuce. It has diced tomato, cucumber, bell peppers and cheese. You can eat this place on a diet or a cheat day since they have so many size options. The calories are posted. They also have decadent treats like cookies and brownies. The restaurant is clean and very nice. I'll definitely be back to try every sandwich. read more

I have been searching the world for a pastrami to equal the extinct Grinder Haven in Ontario. Well, this place wasn't it. Their pastrami was ok, but not quite the way I ordered it. So I've been to a few Firehouse subs locations and my experience is usually great. However, this location in particular has issues. I don't know what it is about this one, but the staff is very rude and unprofessional. The first time we went there practically everyone who worked there acted like they hated their job. I had to ask way to many times where the items were to complete our order. They tried to rush us out the door and we didn't even have our drinks or kids meals. The food was very good and I had no issues with the quality, just disappointed in the service. Tonight, I thought I would give them another shot and we came back and as soon as we walked in the door they told us they were way too busy for walk in orders because they were overwhelmed by online orders. I told them no problem, I understand and am willing to wait. They then said "well, you should also know we're out of meatballs, Dijon mustard, etc... and the wait will be over 30 mins". Some of the people that work here need some extra training. I ordered food to be delivered to my home and none of the chips were in the bag. So when I called, one of the guys who said he was a manager said that is the job of the person who is picking up the food to pick out the chips. I said I ordered it from you. You guys should put it all together so when he comes to pick it up it is ready. Have you ever heard of anything so stupid in your life? To top it off he was super rude. So I called back and a girl answered this time and I told her the same story and she is a manager as well. I guess everyone that works there is "the manager" She gave me the corporate number so I could get a refund on the three bags of chips I ordered with my sandwiches. So now my kids are stuck with their sandwiches and no chips. Thanks a lot fire house subs for ruining our lunch. I love the sandwiches here. They are so good and bordering on addictive. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is small but it has inside and outside seating. It was founded by firefighters. I ordered 2 sub combos tonight on 11/17/2019 through the website online ordering system. I received my email confirmation and went to go pick up my order that was supposed to be ready at 8:40 pm. 20 minutes before they close. However, I ordered over half an hour before they were going to close. Upon getting there they had the front doors locked and I had to bang on the doors. They said that they cancelled the order and "hoped I would see it". I live about 15 minutes away so it's not like I drove an hour, but still I wasted gas and now have no food. They could have EASILY called me and let me know that they could not fulfill my order for whatever reason. I received no email, no phone call, and no notification once so ever of them just deciding to cancel my already paid for order. It is now past 9pm and all sub shops are closed. It's just extremely disappointing and dissatisfying customer service. read more
