I'm a huge fan of Firehouse sub, However this branch is awful. I'm was traveling and staying in the hotel across the street from this store. Gave this store 3 tries, they struck out every time!!!! The first time I went in, they told me it would be over a 30 minute wait, even though the store was empty, due to a catering order, so I went somewhere else. The next day I thought I would be able to get a sandwich. We'll, I received the to go order, however after arriving back to the hotel they forgot to put the peppers and onions on their cheese steak. The next day I gave them another try, a to go order. I commented about the incorrect sandwich from the day before, they had nothing to say, in fact, they seemed a little irritated that I said anything, guess I should've checked the sandwich, they left the cheese off. So I'd heard a lot of hype about this place, but honestly I'd heard some wack stuff about the customer service about the Chino location. Thursday night (1/26/23) we were driving by the Rancho Cucamonga location and I was craving a sandwich, so we stopped. We walked in an hour before closing and we're serviced by Joey & Logan. Let me say this! The level of professionalism these young men have is incredible! Joey & Logan we're extremely patient with me, as I took my time going through the menu. I genuinely appreciated that they entertained my last night silliness with a smile on their face. Each gave me their top 3 suggestions, and I decided on the classic Hook & Ladder. Sandwich was great! But to be honest, the customer service Joey and Logan provided will definitely bring me back. The customer service was awesome and I will always appreciate a clean and climate controlled dining room, especially during the hot days of summer. Being the cheap old man that I am I wasn't thrilled with the price of a large sandwich (11 bucks) but in reality it's comparable to the pricing and size of Subways footlong and Jimmy John's large sandwich. I always pair it with Vicky's Jalapeño Chips. The meat it juicy, and the bread is soft with a slightly crunchy outside. The dill pickle is just the right taste. I have also had a bite or two from my fiancé's favorite sub, the classic steak and cheese. Great sandwich as well. The meat is tasty and goes well with the cheese, onions and green peppers. I went inside to eat for the first time ever! The host was very dry and unfriendly. There was a young lady making sandwiches for "all" customers inside, while he took the cash register orders. Once the orders were taken, he went to take out trash, instead of helping her fill some of the sandwich orders. A customer came in and literally waited 5 minutes before they even acknowledge her by the host finally coming out to take her order. Behind the counter was dirty in the floor area. If I could leave no star I would. My family and I ordered sandwiches and the lobby was fairly empty. We kept waiting and waiting....no one let us know a time frame. Every time we asked for an ETA they kept saying "it's almost done..." We waited close to an hour for SANDWICHES!! I have never been here before and my friend suggested it for dinner while we were working. I am so glad that he did! The bread was so fresh and soft it was amazing! I got the Sub Club and since I am not a fan of honey ham (sweet meat? Not my idea of a good time) they let me sub it out for roast beef. For my first time, I would like to disagree with the other complaints. I had a young lady with piercings help me at the register, and she was very charismatic and actually willing to help me order. (Wish I could have given her a tip) She helped me make sense of the menu and was overall a joy to talk to. It is a bit pricey and there is a bit of a wait, but it makes sense when you understand that the meat needs to be steamed and the sandwich needs to be made. I do agree with the smell. I was a bit bummed out when one of the coupons that stated "Free Combo with Purchase of a Medium or Large Sub" - how I interpret this was: Buy 1 med or large sub, get one sub with a drink/side; what it ACTUALLY MEANT: Buy 1 med or large sub, get a drink and a brownie free. It did felt a bit deceptive how it was marketed. However, Matt (assuming he is the manager/supervisor or even potentially franchise owner) was a really cool guy and allowed me to redeem a second, more straight forward coupon for a free medium sub. He was indeed very enthusiastic and very courteous. The quality of the food was above average but a bit smaller on the portioning side. I have no complaints as I only paid under $10 for 2 subs, a drink and a brownie. However, if I was to pay full price for it, I may not be a regular, but would come here every now and again. For full price, I would be deterred mainly by the price per portion but the customer service surely makes up for it as far as value added perception goes. read more

This is usually my go to for family lunch on Saturdays. I have had numerous problems with this location. Seems every time I order from here (which I would love to order on the app but modifications and drinks aren't available on there unless you want a bottle of water. They have messed up my order almost every time. I finally asked the girl this past Saturday how do you guys mess up my order every time? Her response was we are training new people! (every time I go in???) The attitudes of the workers suck also she made me feel like I was the one in the wrong. I ordered soup and they forgot, so when I asked about it, they made me a new one but it took a while because it was just out of the refrigerator or freezer.
