Having heard the commercials for Firehouse Subs, I decided to give them a try. One of my co-workers and I ate at the one in Natomas for lunch. The place is roomy, and designed well for the counter style ordering. I ordered a medium sized Firehouse Steak and Cheese Sub, with soda and chips for nearly $12. I thought that was a bit high. The sandwich was very good as expected. The soda has a self service station with refills, but the chip selection was minimal. Overall I enjoyed my first experience at Firehouse subs, but will remain a bigger fan of Togos. read more

It was our first time at Firehouse Subs and we will definitely go back! We came for dinner and wasn't quite sure what to order. The gentleman working was so kind and spent time helping us go over the menu, toppings, sides etc. All of the staff was very kind and helpful. Our boys are very much into Firefighters so they were pleasantly surprised by the decor and even received a fire hat! The sandwiches tasted fresh and premium. I used to live in Jacksonville Fl and used to eat here all the time. So when I heard they were coming to Sac, I was so excited! Came right after work for dinner and was not disapointed. Tried this today. Had a sandwich with pastrami and corned beef. Lots of sides to choose from (lettuce, pickle, onion, pepperoncini...). The sandwich wa big, very filling. However, it didn't live up to expectations, good but not as good as it sounded on the menu. I'd put this place above Subway or Togo's but below Beach Hut. read more

Very disappointed :( was really looking forward to trying this place as I see great commercials and love the background story on how this chain opened. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, cute decor etc. The sandwich was overpriced, and very small, white and wheat are the only bread options, and the sub was overly dressed. My goodness!! The BEST sandos anywhere!! Anything you order is delish and filling. The only issue is some of the order-takers.. Id hate to be rude but seriously dumb as rocks. Me: "May i have a large "Hero" on wheat please, with mayo and tomato only and no pickle wedge?" Gal: "Ok a hero.. What size?" Me: "Aaaaaaa large.... Gal: "Ok what kind of bread?" Me: (Focussing hard on her eyes,) "Wheat..." Gal: "..and what would you like on it?" Etc etc etc..... As she stares into oblivion... Every. Time. And 50%of the time i get that nasty pickle wedge lol! This place was one of my favorite sand which places until last night well I should say it still is; I came here last night on my lunchbreak around 8:30 pm I was serviced by an employee that took my order which lacked friendly or good customer service she then was the same person that made my sand which waited a few mins I got my sand which and left I only had a little bit of time so I proceeded to eat half of my sand which in my car only to find a very long blk hair in my food which I might add the employee had really long blk hair and no hairnet on I didn't have time to go and return the sand which because I would have I was so disgusted I threw the other half away what a waste of money I've been here a few times and this is the first time I have been very disappointed I will not be back here for awhile and next time I do come I will be watching who's making my food date of incident 1/4/2017 employee young female maybe Latina or of that Nationality really long blk hair totally unacceptable read my previous review I really did like this place! When your in the mood for a hot sandwich, this is the place to go. Good quick service.

I'm a huge sandwich person. I been driving pass this restaurant and finally got to try it. We end up ordering Club on a sub and Steak & Cheese. Club on a sub is with smoked turkey, honey ham, bacon and Monterey Jack, the bread was toasty too. Steak and Cheese was sauteed steak with provolone, onions and bell peppers. Both sandwich came with a pickle on the side. The Club on a Sub sandwich was delicious and the steak & Cheese was good, but a little pricey. The staff was super nice and friendly, but the service was a little slow. I don't understand how they can take forever to make a sandwich. I know the sandwich is toasted, but still. Of course it's isn't a subway, so my sandwich comes out quickly. The quality is better, but note the price difference too. Basically you get what you pay for... They have one of those new coke machine that can make 100 different flavors. I already know what I like, but its always cool to try a new drink while I was waiting for my food. The restaurant itself is big, there a lot of room for seating and there outside seating too. It's clean and there a few TV for you to watch the game in the corners. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to get a sandwich from here. I would come here if I'm in the area though... its good, but wasn't amazing. I have other go-to sandwich places. read more

Food is mediocre at best. Over priced in my opinion. I was in the other day, employees are rude. The place is dirty, and it didnt even seem very busy I don't see why they can't clean a table or sweep a floor. Bathrooms were out of everything, I dont see how employees were washing their hands after using it. GROSS!! read more

I gave up meat for lent and I decided my first meal would be a steak sub from Firehouse. First off as soon as you pull up this place is playing top hits. Thank you for playing hip hop right as I walked in :) The staff was super friendly when I came in and asked the diff between steak and brisket and what I should order. Great friendly service, but the subs are only so-so. I got the Chicken salad and my partner got the Hook and Ladder, both were like sandwiches I could've made myself. Nothing special about the bread or the fillings. It's cool that they support local firemen though. read more

...i have been eyeing this place for quite some time... i usually go to togos because i like the way they make their sandwiches so i wanted to mix up the routine a little bit by trying out firehouse subs... i ordered a club on a sub and it was pretty good... they seem to have some tasty subs that are reasonably priced but i kinda felt like this was a knock-off version of quiznos where everything is toasted... ill stick with my togos... i know its pretty pricey at togos but you pay a lot and you get a lot unlike subway where you get salad sandwiches... and sometimes their bread is stale... anyways quiznos gets big ups too but they closed that location down a while back... overall its a nice place to eat with spacious seating and friendly staff... 3.5/5 stars... read more

This was not unbelievable or memorable, and I don;t really see how the name ties in with much expect for the firehouse memorabilia on the wall & the hot sauce bar. I thought their soft drink dispensers were pretty modern and fun. The best part of our experience was the pickle on the plate. I would not rive out of my way for this sandwich shop, but I would happily try it again. Also, anyone nervous to try tuna sandwiches outside of the comfort of your home- just because of whatever may have been mixed in there- I had a tuna sandwich and I was pleased with it. read more

First time trying firehouse sub in California and ordered it through yelp for me and my family. Not happy with the delivery time and since this place close at 2100 I order wasn't correct. We ordered 3 sandwiches and one was correct and the other 2 was not. We received our food at 2108. read more

My wife and I went there a few days after they opened just to see what they had to offer. Although there was a problem with our order (which i considered acceptable since they just opened), instead of taking the sandwich back and correcting it- they made us another sandwich and let us keep the first one. A great addition to Natomas. The place is very spacious and has a really cool decor. But must importantly the food is delicious!! They have two bread sizes, medium and large perfect for any appetite. read more

I wasn't impressed. I think Quiznos Is a more flavorful sandwich. I didn't like that the meat was steamed. For the price it just didn't blow me away. I had the "sub on a club" or something like that. My husband had the smokehouse and he didn't even finish the sandwich. It's not that I wouldn't eat here again. Maybe if I have a coupon or someone else pays for it, but I wouldn't go out of the way to eat here. read more

I was waiting anxiously for this place to open after hearing a friend from the east coast talk about their subs. I've now been here multiple times and tried a few of the different subs. All have been fantastic! My favorite is the beef and cheddar brisket. It melts in your mouth and the bbq sauce is very good read more

The Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich was very good. I liked the firehouse theme to the decor.
