Adding Firehouse Subs to my sub Sammy rotation! For multiple reasons I really had an enjoyable experience with this Natomas Firehouse Subs. I made my order online and it was ready to go right on time. The servers were very nice and inside was very clean and orderly. I got the Italian sub and it was amazing: the bread was so soft, produce was fresh and I love that a pickle is included on the side! Also have to shoutout the chopped pickle add on. The answer to your sub sandwich craving is Firehouse Subs!

Yesterday's Name of the Day 6/26/24

Located between Chipotle and Yue Huang on Truxel. I usually choose Beach Hut Deli or Sourdough & Co, but a friend let me know about #FirehouseSubsNOTD which is their Name of the Day promotion. Limited time from 6/17/24-6/28/24, participating locations only. Each day they select letter(s) of the alphabet or list actual names on their social media accounts/app, and if your name qualifies (some close spelling variations accepted), then you can claim a free medium-sized (7-8") sub sandwich with any $0.01 purchase minimum! One free Medium Sub per person per day with any purchase or sub modification upcharge. For example, the acceptable names for Thursday, June 27th, 2024 are: James, Jamie, Jay, Jae, Sarah, Sara, Sarrha, Saara, Juan, John, Jon, Jonny, Johny, Johnny, Latoya, Lahtoya, Luhtoya, Latoia, Letoya, Sonia, Sony, Soni, Soniah, Soniuh. Wednesday, June 26, 2024's NOTD were names beginning with either the letter "M" or "N." Valid for pickup only, if in person you need to show ID. If online or in the app, you do have to sign up/register/activate an account to claim. No, your name cannot be adjusted in-app/online during the Name of the Day promotion. When selecting the Offer online, there was quite a drop-down list of applicable sandwiches for the freebie. I chose the medium Smoked Turkey & Provolone on wheat. The regular price is $13.49, and as-listed comes with smoked turkey breast, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard with a pickle spear. For the qualifying "purchase," you could get another sandwich, a bag of chips, a brownie/cookie, a side/full salad, etc. I decided to get a bottle of Coke Zero for $2.29. The total with included tax, only came out to $2.49! This is a cool way to try their menu out! My order was ready at the promised time, not busy at all for a weeknight/evening, and the sandwich customization requests were correct (no mayo, no onion).

BEWARE! They locked the doors before closing. I called 10 mins before closing to order. And when I arrived before 9pm the doors were locked

Very sad to leave a 1 STAR because I really love the sandwich's here but when the restrooms at a restaurant are so bad I can't help but think how the rest of the restaurant is (kitchen).... The restroom is so nasty! Smells horrible, no soap & paper towel dispenser is not working either. The staff has always been very friendly though but just can't get over the horrible restrooms. Hope they can address this soon!

The Italian Sub tasted good. I specially liked the pepperoni. The only thing was it was not served hot. As for the portion size, it's filling. The cashier was nice and even asked if I like my pickles on the side. The restaurant was clean and has nice music.

All kinds of groceries, meat, produce, lots and lots of imported items. My sister up in Redding loves this Italian flower, and I always get her a bag when she needs one. They have lots of different olive oil, and other Italian imports. Before my mom passed away, I would buy her cans of imported anchovies here. Their deli is top notch. Loads and loads of cheeses, cold cuts, domestic and imported. You need it, you can probably find it here. Their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite sandwich is the Corti special. It's huge, and it's fun. You pick the bread, you pick the veggies, you pick the condiments, they pick the meat. I can never finish a whole sandwich, I can only get through half at a time .. My favorite deli in San Francisco before they closed, was "Panelli Brothers, and they sold what was called, a "Panelli whatever.". Same concept. The special takes me right back to that. I will continue to shop here. Thank you.

I chose that i wanted liverwurst bc i assumed most people dont want that, so i got a liverwurst only sandwich. I thought they would do liverwurst and add other meats. Wouldn't be bad if the liverwurst wasnt so bland and had some flavor. My wife ordered the French bistro and circled ham....she got two sandwiches. One French bistro and one ham sandwich so we ended up with three sandwiches. The value is at least there....you can get filled up with half a sandwich. The liverwurst was saved by me mixing it with the ham sandwich. Worker was a little lazy and didn't cut the sandwich all the way through on 2 out of the 3 sandwiches and bc the crust is so thick, we ended up ripping one bread awkwardly. All in all it was worth getting 2 sandwiches. I would suggest the soft sourdough cause the regular and Dutch is a mouth and jaw destroyer.

My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and will help you with recommendations if you're not sure which sandwich to get. It honestly feels like you're in the company of good friends. The staff joke around and seem to enjoy their job and working together. The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.

For those living in the neighborhood this is such a convenient spot. This is a smaller grocery store so you won't be able to find everything, but what they do have is plenty. There's fresh produce, wine, beer, shelf stable items essential to everyday recipes, and where they really shine is their deli and butcher area. They also have some prepared items like desserts, salads, dressings, pickles, dips, and more. On my latest visit I ended up ordering their Italian Hero ($11.99) from the deli counter, and picked up some of their pickles and house made caesar dressing. Everything was high quality and I loved that they have these options available. The Caesar dressing is delicious and I'll definitely be stopping in again for more. I've been using it on salads since picking it up. It had a good amount of parmesan cheese so The pickles have a very unique flavor, they're definitely tasty but not my favorite version of Dill Pickles- they are more tangy and zingy that traditional dill pickles, not bad just not what I expected. (I was thinking more kosher dill, like Claussen pickles or like the pickles you'd get at a Jewish deli). The sandwich was the star of the show, for $11.99 it was HUGE, the Italian Hero comes with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roasted red bell pepper, and provolone- all sandwiches also come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The combination of ingredients on Dutch Crunch bread was amazing and I think having roasted red peppers as an option is underrated, it elevates a sandwich so much. While I wouldn't do my normal shopping here, I would absolutely come for specialty items or pick up needed items for convenience. I'll be back again soon!
