I had never been here before, so not sure what to order. The staff was nice. It's a very clean place. I bought a large New York Steamer and it came with only a very thin layer of pastrami meat, a little beef and SLATHERED in mayonnaise only. No cheese. So, I came home and put mustard, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on it bulk it up as I was splitting it with someone. But, my son's bacon ranch turkey one looked good. Normally I love Firehouse Subs. Decided to try the cajun chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. First, the sandwich was not good. The chicken had strings of fat/skin through it and they put way to much sauce in it. I have always wanted to try this place! I was given a coupon so I decide to try it. My husband got the New York steamer which had corned beef brisket and pastrami and melted provolone, I had a bite and it was delicious! I had the firehouse steak and cheese and I have to say that was amazing and The wheat bread was so soft and fresh!! The place I get my Philly cheesesteak is gone so I am definitely happy I found this place to satisfy my craving for that. Also what I'm most surprised is that my picky 2.5 year old took a bite out of both our sandwiches and she wanted more, she ate a quarter of mine!! Will definitely be going there again!!! Ordered food from here a few weeks back. I have been too busy to sit down for a review until now. First off, let me just say that their cheesesteak sandwiches are pretty darn good. The reason for the 3 stars: my bread had the essence of pickle on it. When they make and pack your food, they include a wrapped pickle with every sandwich. You would think that by wrapping it, the juices or flavor of the pickle wouldn't get onto the bread, but it does (or did for me anyways). For me, this sort of ruined the experience. I loved the cheesesteak, but not the pickle flavored bread. I suppose next time I will make sure to ask for no pickle. :) read more

They began to explain everything so fast I could not keep up. We ended up buying two subs. They began to toast the bread before even asking us. I asked if we could not toast the bread please. I do think that the whole "fire fighter" theme was rather random since you have a Mexican grill next door and a book store to the other side. So many sandwiches to choose from, everything from a 'Plain-Jane'-under-500-calories to going all out with something like the "Firehouse Hero", which packs a mouthful. Staff is extremely nice, and the place is very well cleaned. Both which are to extremely big points on my list. It's an extremely glorified Subway or Jersey Mike's, without sacrificing the prices too much. The place is clean and modern with a lot of chrome going on. Nice witty signs and on the t shirts of the staff makes it really cool to be in!
