I ordered the Hook and Ladder, which is turkey and ham. It was delicious. You can definitely taste the quality compared to the regular chain submarine sandwich shops. This place is kid friendly also. The kids get a fireman's hat as a souvenir which they love. The decor was great with all of the fireman memorabilia. The knock on this place is the price, portion, and the size of the dining area. Yum! I went here yesterday and was very pleased with my sandwich. I went on my lunch so we ordered the sandwich online to be picked up at 1:30. So today my girlfriend and i decided to go and try firehouse subs. We have had them only when they go out to events like the 9/11 at the mall. Which is still good. But i must say that this has become my new sandwich place. I love the warm meat with the cold toppings. They have the pepper sauce that i would put on everything. Which i did. Dipped my chips and my pickle into it. They also have fresh brewed sweet tea. That was so good. So if you are looking for a frendly place to grab a really good sub just go check it out for yourself. Hands down the best subs I've ever had. I've tried 3 different subs at firehouse on 3 different occasions and have enjoyed each of them equally. May first time here today although I had lived in the Valencia area since '04. Glad I came to try the shop with my daughter. We came at around 1:00 PM just after the lunch crowd were walking out. The place is clean, the servers are relax and does not look hurried or stressed. A lot of smiles on their faces. There are a lot of choices. I ordered the smokehouse steak with briskets but had the BBQ sauce on the side. I do not like sweet stuff on my food. Honestly, the sandwich was awesome even without the BBQ sauce. A bit on the pricey side considering the size of the sandwich you get. However, I got the hero sandwich and it was full of flavor. Loved the decor. It's a cute place. Service was great . Sandwiches were just ok. My husband had the meatball sub and I had the chicken salad sub. I liked the soft drink selection. The biggest disappointment was the fact there were tv's and they were so loud it was hard to carry on a conversation. They also have speakers in the restroom blaring whats on tv so I could not even escape the noise in the restroom. Just my preference but I go out to eat to enjoy a meal with my family and friends and not watch tv. read more

My new favorite sandwich sub place! I travelled far to finally try this. I live in the valley but happened to be in Valencia, so I had to try firehouse subs. My husband is from Florida and he keeps talking about this place because he missed it. I got the steamer sub which is pastrami and cheese.. So delicious! The staff was super friendly! The food was good. When I entered the restaurant, I had to wait to have my order taken. Nobody acknowledged me and I just stood there for a bit until a young man who I thought was new came to help me. The service I received afterward by this young man was terrific! Well today was the second time this has happened. I specifically asked 5 times for no mayo, lettuce or tomato on my sandwich. When I picked up my sandwich to go I even asked the kid who made it"there is no mayo on this right?" He said no there isn't. In Valencia this is a friendly sandwich shop that makes you feel like you are helping some true heroes. I really liked the pastrami and corned beef combo. Way better taste than subway and Jersey Mike. Waiting time is a bit longer, I ordered 2 sandwiches, waiting time is around 10-15 minutes.
