Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the good food and fun atmosphere. They have a jukebox box, pool tables, and a pretty big bar. I got honey old bay wings and potato skins with crab dip. The potato skins were delicious! Crab dip was perfectly made. And the wings were super crispy, although they needed a bit more old bay. My gf got a Mac attack burger and fries. The burger was dry and the Mac and cheese was clearly kraft brand lol. But the fries were sooooo good. They reminded me of boardwalk fries. Met a friend who lives nearby and had a couple drinks and everything was great until shift change at 6pm. Kelly was now the bartender and couldn't have been more rude. Most of the patrons are friendly. However, beware of the few who are natural-born racists. Furthermore, the employees like management will ignore the ignorance that some "regular" customers receive. Management staff are presumptuous who lack empathy and are undoubtedly unprofessional. They allow select customers to sit where they want, do what they want and say whatever they want. The bartenders (manager- Stephanie) will not clean the bar area when asked, she sits outside and smokes cigarettes for extended periods of time. The floor under the bar area is never cleaned, bar top always sticky and you will hear bartenders complain when they feel they are under tipped by other patrons. I have seen mice and other rodents scampering from the dumpster to the open door where the kitchen is located. I have been there when they have had no hot water and the bartenders boyfriends or husbands are always in there probably getting slipped free drinks at their leisure. If you go there in the afternoon on any day, there are always 3-4 bar seats reserved for the regulars. I wander what the tip looks like daily to get those seats. Maybe they are paying a flat weekly rate for those seats. Lol If they don't like you, you may get a shot in a mini-plastic cup or if they do like you it will come in a huge shot glass. Oh and if it's a slow day, they will adjust your tab for a lesser price to increase their tip. Did I mention one of the bartenders has a frequent flyer card from the local jail? What a place! Never ever again!!!! I can't wait until the place sells with new owners because they need to fire everyone there for the exception of Sammy the cook. Everyone else there will throw any customer under the bus if they don't like you, what a bunch of people I wish i never met. SEPT 20/23 I go in with few friends , which we've been going there for years . Sit down and the barmaid KELLY accuses me of not paying a bill a week or so prior and refuses to serve me !!!!! Kelly was so nasty with humiliating and accusing me in front of everyone especially when it was not me !!!! , so I said I'll call the police and get this cleared up real quick and let's see the cameras bc it was very embarrassing and she was so nasty and loud and then says well whoever it was had the same hair as me " are you kidding ... Apparently she was more worried about the police coming . This place has no costumer service for one,, then to have an employee make a seen accusing you of not paying in front of everyone from a week or so prior was real wrong !!!! Had the pleasure of having brunch here on Christmas Eve. After doing a bit of last minute shopping it was time to fill the bellies. I was a little shocked that there were more people inside than I expected. We were seated at the bar. However it did take longer than it should have been to be seated. Even when the bar maid did come to bring us the menu she was still chatting with another co-worker instead of tending to her customer. This was starting to decrease her tip already. Do we started with drinks and then placed an order for two entrees. Not bad on the turn around time in receiving the food. Chicken Chesapeake was some kind of delicious. This place has great prices if you are on a budget. You get nice sized portions and the food is great. Drinks were ok. Not to over powering. The Firehouse Tavern is a hidden gem for food in Parkville. The atmosphere is very casual and the staff very friendly. I have been there on several occasions and have never been disappointed. We decided to order take out today. Usually something gets messed up when we do this, but not here. All eight orders were perfect....and delicious. I ordered the hot turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy...it was enough for at least two meals...maybe three. The chef salad is crazy huge and only costs $13! The Firehouse is horrible because the servers sinks. The waitresses take advantage of customers by putting down extra tips for themselves. This is not how you run a restaurant. When big groups come to the tavern, the staff doesn't know how to handle the big crowd. The Firehouse is a bad restaurant is a bad place. I will never go there again. I had trouble myself there with the wait staff. They put on a extra tip on my credit card when I left them a tip in cash. A recent lunch visit took over 2 hours, despite them not being busy at all. Our food was uneven, some things very good, some meh. It took forever for the food to arrive and my husband's was cold. The waitress was attentive and trying her best. When the check came the house had added 18% tip (we suspect this was because we used a discount coupon) which they didn't itemize on the bill, prompting a long discussion with the waitress. She didn't seem to know why the bill wasn't adding up properly either. Stopped in on a slow Friday night and the service at the bar was less then stellar to say the least. When we finally had a chance to order a beer, the barmaid had an attitude. SO, besides semi-cold beer, we ordered the crab soup, which was a poor excuse for even vegetable soup. I ate here for the first time while visiting family in MD, and it just so happened that the Ravens were playing that afternoon. This means free buffet at half time at the Firehouse! Although the food looked great (wings, burgers with all the toppings, and more), I just couldn't turn down the fried oyster sandwich. The menu is mainly sandwiches, but they have hot and cold selections, and soft-shelled crab when in season. You have a selection of breads, toppings, and a HUGE list of sides to choose from. The green beans were pork-errific! and came to the table piping hot, which, unfortunately, is unusual for most restaurants. They also had both cream of crab and Maryland crab soup, and both were awesome. And they have Yuengling on tap. read more

Ok so I have received a resturant.com gift certificate and went in the other day to use it . I fully read and understood the special instructions/ restrictions. It states a minimum purchase of 35. Ok so we did we ordered calamari as an app then I ordered the chesapeake burger he ordered the t bone ( which didn't come with the roll he later said something and then received it after the meal) we both had soda. OK so I am also aware that you can not use this towards alcohol ( which we didn't) When we received the check the waitress came over She told us we couldn't use the calamari towards the total ( I then showed her on the list of specials on the paper you all print out that it states you welcome coupons on these ***** items as well as soup and salads.... she left came back and said I was right) I wanted to be nice considering she was new I know how it is but then she told us that our total wasn't enough because we wouldn't be able to use soft drinks towards the total ! IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT THAT IN THE INSTUCTIONS! I said fine because I was sick of all the hassles I had to endure at this point so I asked what desserts you had since none where listed. She told me what they had so I picked the mile high cake not knowing it was 10.00 ! for cake that was thin but tall but not 10.00 worth of cake! I could have bought a cake for that. I asked her about the price because all I wanted was something to replace the price of the drinks we "couldn't use" and she gave me a flip remark asking if I seen how big it was and that she didn't make the prices". My Hubby and I have based this place a million times and I have a friend who just bought a house right down the street form it! So When we went to go out to eat tonight we thought we would give this place a go! I am glad we did. It is your typical tavern with a bar, tables, pool, darts, etc. I guess on the weekends they also have live entertainment and/or a DJ. Tuesday is Burger A La Carte night for $3.50 (burger bun, mayo, lettuce and tomato) and then each topping (Cheese, bacon, etc.) is $.50 each. So we both got that with cheese and bacon ($4.50- not bad) and then we split a large side order of fresh cut fries. Yummy- just like the boardwalk fresh cut fries. I tried the Italian Wedding soup which was good and the Hubby also tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders- which he said were really good! The service was great! THe deco was perfect for a Firehouse feel- the bathroom had these pictures of a Dalmatian going pee- the men's room he was lifting his leg and the women's she was squatting- it was funny! I noticed Monday is wing night and they have some other great specials on different nights. My wife and I love the Firehouse Tavern. Our favorites: - Their delicious, large-sized, juicy wings with BBQ or buffalo sauce. - The clam basket with hand-cut fries. We have brought our family members here when they visit from out of town, because of the nice casual feel. I just left there. I was there from 8:10 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The bartender waited on one person that came up to the bar. While we sat there she cleaned off catching bottle ketchup bottles that were on the shelf behind the counter, she washed a rag out for it seemed like 2 minutes as we sat there the whole time and was never acknowledged. I have no idea why we were not acknowledged since we were sitting there with no drinks in front of us. But I have been in there several other times and this bartender has ignored us. I let it go until now because I thought maybe she was just busy but clearly she did not want to wait on us and I have no idea why since we always tip really well and try to be very nice. My brother is handicapped so he has trouble getting in and out so we walked all the way in there and then could not get waited on. And we came all the way from Baltimore City to come out here for the wings. Here we go I just think that 20 minutes is a long time to not be acknowledged. If she would have been waiting on other customers then I would totally understand but she was not. Here is a tip firehouse, if you serve raw seafood then know how to keep it fresh... Raw oysters came out warm, dry and smelled like dead rotting fish. Entrees were equally terrible, and highly overpriced. $18 prime rib that was half fat and bland with steamed vegetables that we watched someone carry into the kitchen in frozen bags lol. $4 for a bottled beer because the draft was disgusting, added tables that crowded the dining room that weren't being used, STYROFOAM PLATES!!!!, a la cart toppings on burnt potato skins?!?! There's two sides to this place: restaurant & Liquor Store. I mainly use the Liquor store part as it's the only Liquor Store nearby that's open on a Sunday, as every other Liquor Store is closed. It's really small and tight in the liquor store, so its always best to know exactly what you want when walking in. This is not the place to go when you want to browse and look around . They're a little pricier than other Liquor Stores, but again, when your in the mood for some spirits on a Sunday, your going to pay the price.The staff is nice and friendly, and they get you in and out in no time. read more

I go there when the band(s) I like are playing there. I was also there for New Years Eve this year and had a GREAT time!!! Food is good... not great, but good. It's a bar, so you get bar food. Expect that and you'll be totally happy. The place is a bit cramped to accommodate live bands (as opposed to dead bands?) but we make due for the gift of real music. Just don't sit in front of the speakers or you'll go deaf. IN response to some of the other reviews, I'll say that of all the times I've been there, I've only had 1 waitress having an "off" night, but the rest of the time the table service is pretty attentive and friendly. OK.. one last thing, I'm not sure what this "Michelob Ultra" stuff is or the Millennial carb-watching, skinny-jean wearing, snowflake sissies are who drink this stuff... but when I order a "Michelob"... I want the classic LAGER (that used to come in the funny shaped bottles), not that low-carb flavorless stuff. I should have taken a photo of my food. But I ordered the Captain Crunch Chicken with a side of fry. Also a cup of cream of crab. They gave me about 7 pieces of very small nuggets. It wasn't processed but again, very very small strips. They threw a ton of fries (which were good) on top. I immediately thought they forgot the chicken because it was so many fries and so little chicken. Then, the taste...I was hesitant to buy because whenever you cook something like Capn Crunch you pretty much lose the Capn Crunch flavor. And this was no different. It wasn't nasty but tasted like any other battered chicken honestly. The cream of crab, eh...I've had better. Much better. Don't waste your time with this meal.
