This place has a vibe, not fast but consistent. Huge menu, always specials. Best Guinness draft in Wyoming county. We usually sit at the bar and try to catch a game. They have a Mexican food nite the black bean soup is excellente.

Visiting from out of town for a family funeral. They got 11 of us in with no reservation - at two tables - on a Saturday night. They took good care of us. Dinner and cocktails are "good" not great ... but if you're looking for a comfortable place to enjoy a nice meal with friends and family, this is the place to go. Would love to sit near the fireplace next time.

That's supposed to be 2 orders of steak fries

Called at 6 for a take out order, got it home and was immediately disgusted, 2 orders of pub haddock the grease was running out of it, you got a small amount of fries considering it was 3 orders of fries, 3 orders of chicken we in total got 48 fries mostly trash, asked for 1apple sauce and 4 coleslaw got 1 coleslaw and 4apple saucefood use to be good!! I was totally shocked this time

Stopped on the GoldWing after a run through the country. Dinner on a Sunday evening last weekend. They were definitely swamped, although the restaurant wasn't full. Our server had at least half the restaurant. Service was sloooow. Food, when it finally came out was hot, prepared correctly and all in all what I expected. I just didn't expect it to take 45 min for a french dip. I don't know if the holdup was the server or the kitchen, but the have some work to do. Wife had prime rib and crab bisque. I had French dip and fries. Photos below. I'll stop again, but will have to allow for some extra time.

Brought out the wrong dinner. Steak was red instead of medium. The clam sauce wasn't fresh. Terrible birthday dinner.

As they say it's a red flag when u walk into a restaurant and there's too many seats and not enough asses to fill them. And then my fiance his chicken he said tasted sour, I hope he didn't get sick like I did right after I feel like throwing up just writing this. As my mother would probably say "this tastes trouble" but unfortunately my fiance is too introverted to say anything, thank fuck we didn't order any appetizers too, wouldn't want more food to go to waste in this establishment. Oh can I mention the bugs too? There were ants on our table, ants, they probably got worse and the bathrooms soap pump doesn't work so they had to put another whole bottle separately on the sink for people to use. And guess what.. the manager still charged us for the dish that tasted like nothing even tho I only tasted a small bit of it, for that, you can go fuck yourself. As for our server, hun, when a customer is trying to be nice and understanding u don't say "ok" dismissively multiple times, you need to learn how to be a good server and learn how to serve your customers.. and for that, yes I left that no tip on purpose. I tip very well usually but when a service is absolutely horrible like that and the manager just decides to be petty? You won't be getting anything from us at all. Save the time and effort, drive somewhere else.. this place will never be worth it, besides you'll be stuck at the entrance for about 5 mins or so before a server gives a shit about ya anyways.

When we travel, we always treat ourselves to a 'fancy' dinner where we splurge a little bit more…read morethan we would normally. After a not so great experience at Sapalta, we were a bit rushed to find a place for dinner on a Saturday night, which is no easy feat on a summer night. Considering the yelp reviews missed the mark with Sapalta, we figured we'd take a chance on Blue Pointe Grille and as soon as we walked in, we knew we had made the right decision. Firstly the wait staff were so kind and attentive. I wish I knew the name of our waitress, but right away she made us feel welcomed. She started us off with a bread basket and we had a couple of cocktails. For an appetizer we tried the fried calamari, mainly because I'm a sucker for banana peppers (or cherry peppers) with calamari. The calamari came with a pepperoncini and caper lemon aioli, which it didn't need but it was a nice twist considering most places will serve calamari with marinara. For dinner we split a bottle of wine, and opted for their catfish special and their chargrilled frenched pork chop. I was advised that the pork chop was a large cut of meat and would take some time to cook through which was fine because we had opted to sit outside and were delighted to watch the sunset. The entrees were excellent, and came out quicker than we expected. Overall, we had a great experience. If you have the chance to sit out on their patio, I definitely recommend it as you'll get beautiful views of Seneca Lake, and the boats coming into dock. Afterwards, I recommend taking a stroll down the pier to take in the sights. I'm glad we ignored the yelp reviews and opted to dine at Blue Pointe Grille.

Don't order the fish! I had the Baked Cod - it was really off-tasting (something you don't want in…read moreseafood!), overly fishy and unpleasant. My dining companions ordered the short rib, which was much tastier and tender. Perhaps this is one of the places that exceeds when it comes to "turf", but you should avoid the "surf." I also ordered an asparagus soup, which was too salty, but had the texture of a bean/split pea soup. They also served generous pours of wines and had friendly service, otherwise. Keep in mind this is a very pricey establishment. For a dining party of 3 people, our bill was nearly $200 for something very middle range -- it's not the glitzy-est of atmospheres for that high price. Instead, it was dark, dank and basement-like. I expected more affordable pub style food with that feel.

We were seated within 10 minutes which was very nice but the waitress/host seemed a bit annoyed. To be fair there were only 2 women serving the bar & restaurant and as someone in the service business, it's not easy BUT it's not an excuse just understandable. THE FOOD...it was good but I was disappointed in my Smoked Duck app which had three small thin slices of duck. The apricot vinaigrette was the star of the dish. The scalloped potatoes were good & were not soaked in cream & butter which I liked. Hubby had his go to drink, a Manhattan and it was ok. His entree was Pasta Carbonara, it was very good. All in all 3-stars maybe 4 because the ambiance was romantic or maybe that was us LOL.
