This is a great business! We had another fireplace repair place out a couple of years ago and they said the fireplace wasn't repairable, it would have to be replaced at a cost of thousands of dollars. They even turned off the gas and recommended it not be used again. Saw good reviews for Fireplace Fix and decided to make one last try. Wow! They came out for a look, cleaned it and got it going again. However it shut itself off a few minutes after the technician left. He had noted that if it did this, it would need a new control valve. We called back right away and they came back in two days, replaced the control valve and themopile. Now works great!!!!! Wish we had tried Fireplace Fix originally. I wanted to have my fireplace checked out, cleaned and given a good look over. I saw someone posted on Next Door that they worked with this company and were pleased so I gave them a call. OMG. Everyone has been wonderful from my initial call to completion of my project today. I wanted to get rid of the pilot which was just a pain and the switch to turn it on was questionable. After talking with Deb and not wanting a pilot she recommended the electronic ignition. Sounded great to me and their price was reasonable. Today Mariah came by to do the cleaning and upgrade. He was great and explained everything I needed to know about the upgrade (which was pretty darn simple). Our fireplace had quit working. After several months of working fine. We had a guy come about six months ago and he changed out all the guts. But he was not a professional and worked out of his car it turns out. I yelped fix gas fireplace and fireplace fox came up. The reviews were good so I called them. Sorry. Can't leave anything positve. First appointment in November: No Call No Show. Second Appointment: Service technician came, told me the problem and said company would get to me by Friday. Nothing for a week. Called in and mentioned I had 15 family coming in for the Holidays and really wanted the patio fireplace fixed. "Opps, can't even find your appointment. Did you have one"? Few minutes later: Oh yes, found it. I'll get back to you after the weekend. Next communication? Nothing until I sent another email. Response about a week or so later with the following excuses: "Having your ticket filed away by our previous assistant / not seeing our website emails / hiring a new office manager and having to train her during the busiest time of the year have been an awful consequence for you and for that I cannot begin to express how terrible I feel about that. I can only assume you have taken care of your repair?". I email her back saying nothing has been fixed. Response: NOTHING. Apparently doesn't feel bad enough to respond. read more

I am so relieved that this is the only company that actually answered the phone and scheduled a service call! I totally lucked out- Mariah was in the area and able to swing over in 30 minutes- another 30 minutes later, and the fireplace was back in business. Not only was the service call fee fair, it was the best quote I've gotten from a number of places. He even vacuumed out the logs and cleaned the glass before putting everything back together. I wish I could leave 10 stars! Deb even did a follow-up call to make sure that everything was ok. For reference: the gas line was off, the wiring was messed up, the fireplace needed some cleaning, and I'm sure there was something else that needed attention... didn't charge anything over the service call fee.
