Buffalo Chicken pizza. Ask for double the buffalo sauce. It's probably one of the best pizzas in the Twin Cities. I said it. I convinced my wife to try a bunch of pizza joints for an entire month. She's cool like that. So my opinions of pizza are based on science, MSNBC opinions on how you should do what they do, and Nickelback songs. Food is great. Service is excellent. We went tonight for dinner. There were quite a few empty tables. We were never brought water. There was staff standing around talking to each other. We waited for 15 minutes and were never even acknowledged. It was only when we got up to walk out that we were even acknowledged. Newly updated and fashionable Fireside Foundry is incredible! The patio and seating outside gives a lot more room and was a great place to enjoy our dinner. We started out with the parmesan spinach dip. It was creamy and had a great aftertaste to it. The portion was generous and the style they serve it let's you know it was freshly baked. We had the Asian Boneless rib and the sirloin for our dinner. Both came with a generous serving of garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. I would order both just as sides. The green beans in particular were very fresh and some of the best I have ever eaten. The sirloin was thick, tender, and cooked perfectly. A great steak! The real star of the meal was that rib though. My wife and I were fighting for the last bites. The tangy barbeque sauce is outstanding. The hardest thing when we go back will be to try new things as everything we had was so delicious we will be hard pressed not to get it again. read more

The old fireside is gone and in it's place is a new steampunk fireside foundry. The pizza is still the same as I remembered. However the cozy atmosphere is gone. It's way to loud inside now to the point where you have to almost shout to have a conversation. I will not be back. read more

Ok, hammered this place pretty hard after a visit a few years back ... before they remodeled. This was our first visit back and it's like it was a completely different restaurant. Pizza was solid ... I'd give that 3 stars. Everything else brings it up to a 4. Nice menu. Really nice on the inside (not fancy .. just very well put together). Waiter and bartender were awesome. We'll be back. Bummer. My husband liked this place so years ago he asked me to go. I didn't like it then...it was dark and dirty and I didn't like the food. With the new remodel we decided to try it again. The new look was very updated, trendy and lovely. My husband thought the new design made it louder but I really didn't think about it as all restaurants are loud to me. The food was mediocre. You would think with a new fancy decor design they would update and improve the menu. Sadly they didn't. We ordered the chicken kabobs and a small pizza (I think it was something with the word "Kiss" in it??). The pizza had spinach, olive oil, mozzarella and tomatoes. Our son had meatballs and spaghetti. Everything was bland, not very flavorful and/or tasted like it was whipped up in the kitchen with a jar of sauce. I just had what was arguably the worst Bahn Mi sandwich in the greater Twin Cities area. The meat was WAY too salty. Rather than using fresh herbs and spinach, it was shredded and wilted iceberg lettuce. The side salad (which was another +$1.99) came without any dressing and was bland and devoid of any flavor. I absolutely hate wasting food but this was so bad, I couldn't eat most of it and wound up just tossing it. Never eating here again. read more

We were looking for "our" neighborhood pizza place when we moved to this area of twin cities and we found it. I had my first takeout pizza from Fireside last week as I seek out neighborhood / non-chain restaurants in Richfield and beyond. I'd heard that Fireside has been around for 50 years so I was immediately intrigued. The pizza was quite good, nothing overly fancy but good! It reminded me of a small town pizza shop similar to one I enjoyed growing up as a kid. Good pizza, good prices and a pretty cute restaurant. read more

I like the pizza here - they have classic greasy stuff, or fancier new stuff, if you like that. The Fireside Ale is also a really tasty beer. I'm not sure who makes it, but it goes great with the 'zza. It's a great place we can walk to from our neighborhood. read more

The cute, quaint Fireside Pizza is gone and replaced with the remodeled, somewhat classy Fireside Foundry. The noise level is WAY to loud. We had to lean in and shout at each other to have a conversation. The full menu is not available yet, but it looks like there are great additions. Ah yes, the pizza that we have all grown to love over the years remains. We loved the spinach dip (new on the menu) and our pizzas. I will continue to have this as my pizza place of choice, but will wait to return until after the newness wears off and the bugs are worked out. read more

Weird review. So the burger and appetizer I had on one visit were 1 star. Bland. Overcooked. Flavorless. However, on another visit I had a pizza and it was 5 star. The sandwich and entree menu is newer and needs some refining and flavor enhancements. The pizza is what they do well. read more

I purchased a pizza on 09/18/19 which was delivered. Upon arrival it was not only burnt around the crust but also on the bottom. I placed a phone call to Fireside Foundry to address this. The person whom took my complaint was very nice, and gave me the name of two gentleman, of which, one would call me regarding how to get this resoved. I never received the phone call. After calling three times, I came to the conclusion, that they must not care about retaining customers, and there are way to many Pizza places that have very good pizzas. I will NOT ever order another pizza from Fireside. read more

Wonderful local spot that my wife and I love. We Especially love the Asian fries which I think are the best appetizer of any restaurant in town. They're delicious. Also, they have a really good pizza, calzones and other good appetizers. Great little spot. read more

We were here before they renovated the restaurant and were impressed with the food and service. Now it is even better with the brand new decor and the pizza is as good as ever, also a decent amount of beers on tap for the size of the restaurant. The pizza is a little pricey, but, Man... what a pizza!!!!! The sauce is fantastic, not sweet... has a pepper-y flavor. The crust is divine, tastes like a butter cracker (almost). We ordered their version of the Margharita pizza.... Holy-Moly. Awesome! Plus, it feels like a down home pizzeria, not a chain. Pop gets served in coke glasses with a pithcer, beer in a pitcher, lots of TV's to watch the game, and old booths with curtains if you wanna make out. LOL! We go there about once every 2 weeks. Fireside's pizza is solid. Not the best out there in the Twin Cities, but it is a good thin crust pizza. We live in the area so we usually call them for delivery. The only thin crust pizza in the immediate area that I rank better than Fireside's is Broadway's (but I am just a bit outside of their delivery area unfortunately). We occasionally dine in as well. It's cozy here and the service is fantastic from the moment you enter to the minuet you leave. I didn't mind the noise from surrounding patrons. I've been to far louder establishments. We ordered the Fireside Pizza which boasts a mighty award. I make a pizza at home that would crush this pizza on any given day. The crust is thin but soggy in spots and not crunchy other than the outer edge. The ingredients are basic and under cooked. Enough about the bad pizza....this place has tots and just like in "A Knights Tale" if that was all I knew about them I would say that it was Knightly too!! Gotta love tots and I'll be back for them and a beer soon! Next time I think I'll roll with a sandwich or a burger! Enjoy! read more

My mother and I went for a late dinner, which included happy hour specials. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was really tasty...especially either the garlic bread. We split the Buffalo chicken pizza which had full strips of bacon on it. It has a decent amount of heat to it so we asked for some blue cheese dressing which is made in house and was delish. We took the kids and my in laws here on a Monday night. The restaurant seemed busier then what I am guessing for a Monday night as they seemed slightly understaffed. Now, this place is loud but that suited me just fine. It's frustrating to go to a quiet restaurant with loud kids and feel anxious the entire time that the kids are annoying the other patrons. This place has enough noise that I didn't worry about it. We could still hear each other at our own table but couldn't overhear other groups. The food was good. Not amazing but good. I had a chicken club that had a good slice of chicken in it. My husband had the walleye sandwich and it was huge! My in laws shared a calzone but weren't that impressed with it. My kids had the grilled cheese (again, huge) and a cheese pizza which they both enjoyed. The portions are big so while it is expensive you could take home the leftovers for the next day. Would I go here again? Probably. The waitstaff was nice, the food was good and it's nice to support local businesses. I would recommend this place to any parents wanting to take their kids out for a nice family meal. read more

We checked out Fireside for the first time tonight since the remodel and we were very impressed! I liked the decor, atmosphere, and bar. We had excellent service and great pizza. Our family shared a large pizza and still had leftovers. We also enjoyed wonderful side salads for $2.50 each that included homemade croutons and dressing. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the hostess gave our son a cookie without asking us. I know her intentions were only good but we really didn't want him to be offered this. Went for a late lunch around 2pm on a Wednesday. Absolutely horrible service. The owners 15 year old daughter walked around talking to people like she owned the place. The servers and hostess were all sitting at a table together eating, cleaning out their purses, and talking about other servers. The menu had almost half of the items blacked out with a sharpie. The decor is great and comfortable, but the service and lack of food options ruined it. Between eating, licking their fingers, cleaning out their purses, ect....nobody ever washed their hands. I'm no stranger to enjoying a down-'n-dirty restaurant every once in a while, especially for a staple like pizza. Alas, this wasn't one of those "it's so bad it's good" places. It was just bad. Our server was absolutely pleasant, and that's great. They had live music with an accordion player and upright bass player. Kitschy but fun. Why the hell not, right? Now on to the food. And let me say that I went into this with LOW expectations. The side salads seemed like they'd be more at home at a gas station, with dressing packets to boot. The pizza itself had a ton of raw garlic. I don't mind garlic at all. My beef is that it overpowered everything else, throwing it off-balance. My fiancé's pizza was fine, he went with a sausage one. We ordered two smalls and finished the equivalent of one small. It just wasn't that appetizing. And the interior really hasn't seen an update or a deep clean since 1960-whatever. By the end of the meal, I was just ready for it to be over with. It's a bummer that this is one of two or three places to eat within walking distance of my house. We went to Sandy's down the street and had a burger after because we were still hungry, but definitely not hungry for our remaining pizza. I can see that this place has a certain charm, but it's not winning on food, and that's usually how an institution becomes an institution. read more

First time dining since they remodeled since the makeover. May be the same owner but not the same cooks. Ordered garlic cheese bread that came (late) with cheap bread, not a hint of garlic and a bland marinara sauce that tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes. Pizza was equally as bad - minimal sauce and it had the taste and texture of a cheap frozen pizza. It used to be I had to struggle to keep myself from eating everything. We eat at Fireside 3 or 4 times a month and like the variety on the menu. Servers are very good - same people working almost every time we are there, so turnover is not an issue. Food is always good, but I'm taking a one star because it's not always consistent in portion size. Entree salads are sometime a great meal size and sometimes a little on the small size. Chili has been on the menu since November. First time I ordered it, they said it wasn't cold enough out so there weren't making it. Came back on a cold December day and ordered it. Same thing. Very disappointed in their food and service. I placed an order for deliver and was told it would take an hour due to the tortellini needing extra time. Our order was delivered and we received 4 small cups with the noodles and sauce in separate cups. The tortellini did not need extra time to cook, trust me. There was barely enough noodles to fill half the cup and they were boiled. The Tortellini wasn't even baked, why did it need an hour? I called and asked to speak with the manager, after talking to the high school girl who answered the phone, I realized there wasn't anyone there in charge. I was highly disappointed that the place was left to a bunch of high school kids who obviously could not handle it. read more
