Nice little sports bar and grille! Place has enough TVs to see from most spots but they aren't absolutely everywhere. Went for lunch mid week and it was starting to fill up pretty fast. Service was very attentive and gave good suggestions. Despite it being busy, our food came out pretty quickly and it was all very good! Portions big enough for me to have a full other meal out of it. Lots of good looking options on the menu, will definitely be back sometime to try out the other enticing ones!

It has been 5 years since we've been here! Still consistently delicious- the atmosphere is buzzing! Kick chicken is yummy. What more can an X Epian say? . Its so darn juicy I HAD to use a fork and knife

    Salami & Hot Honey Pizza

We visited tavern 4&5 on new years day and what a treat it was! The parking lot was pretty full, but we had no trouble getting a seat for 3. My husband got the Salami pizza and rated it a 9.2/10 - it was a pretty wer pizza, but tasted amazing. I think the huge salami pieces are hilarious. I got the mushroom pizza & it was soo good - definitely greasier of pizzas, but the crust was super good and had a good amount of toppings. Bloody was spicy!! But you get a good amount with a lot of toppings. The latte options are a great pick-me-up for an early morning, I liked the Cinna latte! Katie L served us and was so kind, gave reccommendations & stopped by frequently, even on a busy day like this. This will go on to be a staple restuarant and I look forward to coming back!

I have had this sandwich twice, it's a nice fried peice of walleye, homade tartar sauce, cheese and shredded lettuce on a toasted bun. Get extra tartar to dip the fries in. Always a good meal at 4&5 the service is always top notch. Get it before it it swims off the menu .

Great food selection! Bailey was our server and she helped us decide to share a sandwich, because the sandwiches are HUGE. We shared today's lunch special tuna melt. So good. This is a very welcoming and happy neighborhood spot. Always full with great options and service.

After our original dinner plans fell through, we decided to give this place a try. Here's what you need to know: Free parking and plenty of it! The service: We were sat fairly quickly and our waitress was so nice!! She was constantly checking in on us and made sure we got everything. Our drinks were running behind, but she made sure to communicate that. Very appreciated. The decor: This is your classic, get drinks, watch the game and hang out kind of place. Would be good for a group hang out or family get together. The food: The stand out items were the truffle fries (seasoned so well!) and the tater tots! The tots were large (so you don't get as many) But it's almost like a mix of mashed potatoes and hashbrowns. They are soft, so of crunch tots it's your thing, you are not going to like this. The Ruben and cowboy burger were tasty, but nothing too special/unique about them. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood spot! Check'em out

I know this is a duplicate review for me. But I really enjoy their food here ! Today's menu was the prime rib hash with locally made sourdough and a side of Gouda hashbrowns. The PR has was new for me. It was delicious and flavorful. MN 4 on the spicy scale with mayo/flour being a 1. If you are a person who really enjoys spice it will be a 1/10 and you will need to ask for more. But not too much because you don't want to kill all the rich flavor !!!! The Gouda hashbrowns are always a delight. Smokey flavor with a hint of onion and boy are they creamy ! This is a must every time I am here. The only disappointment was I couldn't get my favorite dish which is on their dinner menu that starts at 2 pm "the minute chicken" idk what it is but I love it so much !!!!! It's a simple dish (sorry no picture)

Great atmosphere, a little loud but good sized tables for socializing. There's a bar area as well as high tops and booths for general dining. The brunch menu has a large selection to choose from. We each had a bloody ($4 less for virgin bloody) and enjoyed the house made mix, the spicy bloody is definitely spicy and the cheese on both bloodies was spicy too! My breakfast burrito wasn't super flavorful and it was all one texture but it tasted decent and the salsa on the side added a lot of flavor--get an extra side of salsa right away (added: to be fair, I'm not a huge breakfast person in general). My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette and said the Gouda hashbrowns were fantastic and the Tillamook cheese had a good cheddar taste. Good service overall, everything was hot and fresh. I think I'd prefer lunch/dinner over the brunch menu but still a solid choice for a brunch spot!

We were planning on going to a different place and ended up here. There was a wait for a table for 3 on a Sunday. So that made me feel like the food has to be good. Service was good. We got what we ordered in a timely manner. The food was excellent, the least notable was the pizza but it was still good. The place was festively decorated and cozy. It felt loud without impacting our ability to talk to each other. I don't know how they managed that. I would to there again.

The reuben benny with gouda hash browns
    Michele B.

They did an excellent job taking care of our large group of 25 ladies! There gouda hash browns are delish. I tried a fun take on an eggs benny with the Reuben benedict. Who knew pickles and corned beef went with poached eggs so well? Not me. The 4-5 benny looked great, as well as the huevos rancheros, and veggie omelet. Superb service with excellent eats. I've enjoyed their happy hour before and am impressed with their brunch service now as well! If you're ever in the EP check them out!

Tavern 4&5 is a great spot for happy hour with friends or coworkers! I was greeted right away and was immediately sat at one of the high top tables for happy hour. It started to get really busy as the night went on so I would be sure to make a reservation especially if you have a bigger party. They have a good selection of small bites and drinks on their happy hour menu. The Parmesan truffle fries were delicious! We also ordered the pretzel to share which was very tasty but a smaller portion size than we were expecting. The turkey avocado sandwich was extremely flavorful but the star of the show was the Gouda hash browns! I absolutely reccomended getting an order of them. I look forward to coming back and trying more menu items!

I've been here several times and tried a different menu item with great results each time. Simply put - Tavern 4&5 is consistently good! My journey of new adventures ends tonight as I was made aware that a Cajun "creole" pasta is a new and permanent fixture on the menu. Despite having the same meal at a different place last night, I signed up immediately. So. Darn. Good! The sauce flavor, the onions and peppers, and the pulled chicken. One of the best cajun pastas in the metro for sure! I did skip the shrimp and sausage, so if you have a favorite or like all three you have flexibility. Wonderful service and atmosphere as always. Absolute Eden Prairie staple and probably my favorite in the SW metro!

We also ordered some drinks (You're My Boy Blue & the Rhubarb/Ginger Gin Fizz). Both were a perfect balance of refreshing and fruity. As it was my birthday, we were able to finish off the meal with a slice of rainbow cake. We will definitely be back, as there are so many things we didn't get this time that we want to try

We ordered the Candied Bacon flight to share; the menu listed the bacon flight flavors (whiskey jalapeño BBQ, roasted chile brown sugar, honey mustard, 4-pepper blend) and the 8 large, thick slices looked inviting but we had no idea which pieces were which flavor. *Management Suggestion: Get little toothpicks or flags so diners know what they're tasting!* That said, while I tried two pieces I thought looked good and I enjoyed them, RC munched through them unaware they were different flavors, lol. My take: they were ok. I also ordered the French Onion soup as I love trying different restaurants' take on it. Five stars for the soup, it was absolutely delicious. A thick piece of crusty bread topped with melted cheese that dripped over the crock topped rich, delicious caramelized onions and just enough beef stock to be able to call it soup. Banging. For our mains, RC ordered ribs with a side of Buffalo Brussels Sprouts. The ribs had good flavor but were definitely not fall-off-the-bone; more like saw from the bone. We both love Brussels but the beef-tallow fried sprouts with Buffalo sauce and caked in melted bleu cheese crumbles were not good. If you don't like Brussels, you might like these because any sprout flavor was overwhelmed by the bleu cheese. For my main I tried the braised Short Rib Ravioli, generous ravioli in a very rich cream sauce then topped with (I think) bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. I ate one raviolo and it wasn't for me. I thought the filling was bland and the sauce didn't meld with the flavor. I didn't eat it, the manager came to apologize and ask if I wanted something else, but RC was close to finished and I declined. Good on them for taking it off my bill without me asking. Service was five star, atmosphere nice, although the huge flat screens everywhere were a distraction lacking sound or captions. The bourbon selection looked great and I momentarily wished I could try some! :D

Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.

Beckett's in uptown and Meteor Bar in Northeast are great examples of bars, both with food, that consistently go later no matter what. granted they are both in Minneapolis, so different customer base. come here, support this local establishment! they are good, just not great though they could be!! p.s. yes i am writing this from the bar, and just an update: my bill confirmed their happy hour is NOT running tonight. :/ granted the bartender never said there was happy hour and those menus weren't out, so i suspected as much. but i came for the happy hour, including food, and got neither. first world problems for sure!

The arincini was crispy on the outside and oozed with creamy cheese. The romesco sauce complemented it perfectly. The johnnycake was fluffy and delicious and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty (don't skip the jalapeño infused maple syrup--it isn't spicy; it's just an extension of the sweet and savory balance). For our salads/veggies, we split the last three on the menu: the cauliflower, the Brussels sprouts, and the watermelon salad. My friends, don't skip any one of these. The cauliflower is a cauliflower steak that is perfectly cooked (be sure you get a lovely toasty bit!) and made for delicious savory-salty-tangy mouthful with its tomatoes and onions. Doenjang and tahini? Heck yes! The sprouts were covered in a spectacular mojo verde (imagine what pesto would be if it were Indian and you'd not be far off) that was a creative and absolutely apt pairing. As for the watermelon salad, it was all summer: chunks of watermelon, crumbles of feta, basil, hazelnut, and rings of Calabrian chili. It tasted exactly like relaxing on the porch with your most sophisticated but still totally chill bestie. For my main, I ordered the linguine pomodoro e vodka. Dude. It was so stinking good. I love a good tomato sauce, and this one did not disappoint. Crispy breadcrumbs? Yes. Mint and basil? Yes and yes. Chili oil? Heck yeah! This packed a punch and was an absolutely glorious foil for the burrata. As for dessert, I went for the crème brûlée. It was really good! It was rich and creamy (almost buttery) and absolutely chock-full of vanilla bean. Very good indeed.

This was a great find when I am recovering from surgery and just wanted some yummy comfort food. I…read moreordered the biscuit and gravy with over easy eggs, and a side of bacon. Being from the south, I do love my biscuits and gravy, and this did not disappoint. The biscuits are fluffy and tender, and taste like my grandmother's. The sausage gravy was rich and delicious with plenty of sausage pieces and just the right amount of thick, savory gravy. I ordered the side of bacon crispy, and it was, and the gravy comes in a container on the side. However, the hashbrowns topped with eggs, and the biscuit were together in one container while my bacon was in a smaller one. I didn't want sausage gravy on my hashbrowns or my eggs, but it was easy enough to swap the bacon and the biscuit and put the biscuit in the little container where I could cover it with gravy and devour it. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was nice and crispy (you check a box if you want it crispy) and the hashbrowns were very tasty. All in all, I highly recommend this spot near Eden Prairie, and I look forward to dining there in the future.
