It was my first time, here and I really enjoyed it. What I appreciated most was the food. The food tasted like some care and attention went into it, vs simply reheating frozen food from Sysco. I ordered classic breakfast fare: scrambled eggs, bacon, cheesy hashbrowns, and sourdough toast. They accommodated my request to add cheese to my eggs, the bacon was cooked perfectly, and the Gouda hashbrowns were delightful. They were so tasty, it made me wonder why don't we see that on menus more often? We split a mimosa flight (two splits), that came with a trio of juices: pomegranate, pineapple, and grapefruit. That was fun, and had a mix your own adventure vibe. My partner got the rotisserie chicken sandwich, which came with a chicken jus gravy dipping sauce that was really special. It was obvious that some attention went into its creation, which also seemed true for the hand-made tater tots. These tots were not of the "frozen from the bag" variety; they were made from shredded potatoes. We had considered getting the chicken pot pie, and after seeing some other restaurant patrons with that dish, that may be what we try next; it looked fabulous, The restaurant was attractive, pretty full on a Sunday, and our service was decent. Our waitress could have been more friendly, but she was sufficiently attentive, and got the job done.
Nice little sports bar and grille! Place has enough TVs to see from most spots but they aren't absolutely everywhere. Went for lunch mid week and it was starting to fill up pretty fast. Service was very attentive and gave good suggestions. Despite it being busy, our food came out pretty quickly and it was all very good! Portions big enough for me to have a full other meal out of it. Lots of good looking options on the menu, will definitely be back sometime to try out the other enticing ones!
We visited tavern 4&5 on new years day and what a treat it was! The parking lot was pretty full, but we had no trouble getting a seat for 3. My husband got the Salami pizza and rated it a 9.2/10 - it was a pretty wer pizza, but tasted amazing. I think the huge salami pieces are hilarious. I got the mushroom pizza & it was soo good - definitely greasier of pizzas, but the crust was super good and had a good amount of toppings. Bloody was spicy!! But you get a good amount with a lot of toppings. The latte options are a great pick-me-up for an early morning, I liked the Cinna latte! Katie L served us and was so kind, gave reccommendations & stopped by frequently, even on a busy day like this. This will go on to be a staple restuarant and I look forward to coming back!
It has been 5 years since we've been here! Still consistently delicious- the atmosphere is buzzing! Kick chicken is yummy. What more can an X Epian say? . Its so darn juicy I HAD to use a fork and knife
I have had this sandwich twice, it's a nice fried peice of walleye, homade tartar sauce, cheese and shredded lettuce on a toasted bun. Get extra tartar to dip the fries in. Always a good meal at 4&5 the service is always top notch. Get it before it it swims off the menu .
Great food selection! Bailey was our server and she helped us decide to share a sandwich, because the sandwiches are HUGE. We shared today's lunch special tuna melt. So good. This is a very welcoming and happy neighborhood spot. Always full with great options and service.
After our original dinner plans fell through, we decided to give this place a try. Here's what you need to know: Free parking and plenty of it! The service: We were sat fairly quickly and our waitress was so nice!! She was constantly checking in on us and made sure we got everything. Our drinks were running behind, but she made sure to communicate that. Very appreciated. The decor: This is your classic, get drinks, watch the game and hang out kind of place. Would be good for a group hang out or family get together. The food: The stand out items were the truffle fries (seasoned so well!) and the tater tots! The tots were large (so you don't get as many) But it's almost like a mix of mashed potatoes and hashbrowns. They are soft, so of crunch tots it's your thing, you are not going to like this. The Ruben and cowboy burger were tasty, but nothing too special/unique about them. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood spot! Check'em out
I know this is a duplicate review for me. But I really enjoy their food here ! Today's menu was the prime rib hash with locally made sourdough and a side of Gouda hashbrowns. The PR has was new for me. It was delicious and flavorful. MN 4 on the spicy scale with mayo/flour being a 1. If you are a person who really enjoys spice it will be a 1/10 and you will need to ask for more. But not too much because you don't want to kill all the rich flavor !!!! The Gouda hashbrowns are always a delight. Smokey flavor with a hint of onion and boy are they creamy ! This is a must every time I am here. The only disappointment was I couldn't get my favorite dish which is on their dinner menu that starts at 2 pm "the minute chicken" idk what it is but I love it so much !!!!! It's a simple dish (sorry no picture)
Great atmosphere, a little loud but good sized tables for socializing. There's a bar area as well as high tops and booths for general dining. The brunch menu has a large selection to choose from. We each had a bloody ($4 less for virgin bloody) and enjoyed the house made mix, the spicy bloody is definitely spicy and the cheese on both bloodies was spicy too! My breakfast burrito wasn't super flavorful and it was all one texture but it tasted decent and the salsa on the side added a lot of flavor--get an extra side of salsa right away (added: to be fair, I'm not a huge breakfast person in general). My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette and said the Gouda hashbrowns were fantastic and the Tillamook cheese had a good cheddar taste. Good service overall, everything was hot and fresh. I think I'd prefer lunch/dinner over the brunch menu but still a solid choice for a brunch spot!
We were planning on going to a different place and ended up here. There was a wait for a table for 3 on a Sunday. So that made me feel like the food has to be good. Service was good. We got what we ordered in a timely manner. The food was excellent, the least notable was the pizza but it was still good. The place was festively decorated and cozy. It felt loud without impacting our ability to talk to each other. I don't know how they managed that. I would to there again.
The service was good, we were checked up on by the waitress and the general manager a few times. Everything tasted fresh, there were a lot of healthier options, and all the veggies were delicious. I expected more from the pizza since it is wood fired, but it was still fine. read more

This place gets busy during weekday lunches. Make a reservation if you can. We've been coming here for years but this review is based on our recent visit. Ordered the chili lime shrimp salad. Comes with 6 pieces of grilled shrimp on top of greens, avocado, tortilla strips. Overall great salad but we noticed the portion size is smaller. Also tried the grilled chicken grain bowl. Comes with grilled chicken, steamed green beans, greens, and quinoa. Dressing is a sweet plum sauce. It was decent but pricey at $23. The star of our lunch was the key lime dessert. Spacious and delicious! In addition, there's a massive parking lot which takes away from 99.9% of stress as it relates to parking. We dined in at Tavern 4&5 with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were made in advance and our table got seated quickly upon arrival. Similar to any tavern, the dining in experience is laid back and casual. You do not need to be dressed up by any measure to eat here. The menu is robust and I had a difficult time choosing as every item sounded great. A few members in our party had been here before and recommended the Thai chicken lettuce wraps off the appetizer menu and they did not disappoint. It was very fresh and I could tell it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp. For my main entree, I got the Chicken Yum Yum which is a bowl with fried chicken, ginger soy sauce, coconut fried rice, mushrooms, edamame, egg, green onions, sesame seeds and yum yum sauce. It was nice to be able to find an Oriental meal at a tavern. Our service was excellent for having such a large party and I felt as if the prices were reasonable. Looking ahead, I can't wait to return as there's so many other great items that I hope to try including the sweet chili cauliflower appetizer, tator tots and harvest apple salad. They did an excellent job taking care of our large group of 25 ladies! There gouda hash browns are delish. I tried a fun take on an eggs benny with the Reuben benedict. Who knew pickles and corned beef went with poached eggs so well? Not me. The 4-5 benny looked great, as well as the huevos rancheros, and veggie omelet. Superb service with excellent eats. I've enjoyed their happy hour before and am impressed with their brunch service now as well! If you're ever in the EP check them out! read more
Tavern 4&5 is a great spot for happy hour with friends or coworkers! I was greeted right away and was immediately sat at one of the high top tables for happy hour. It started to get really busy as the night went on so I would be sure to make a reservation especially if you have a bigger party. They have a good selection of small bites and drinks on their happy hour menu. The Parmesan truffle fries were delicious! We also ordered the pretzel to share which was very tasty but a smaller portion size than we were expecting. The turkey avocado sandwich was extremely flavorful but the star of the show was the Gouda hash browns! I absolutely reccomended getting an order of them. I look forward to coming back and trying more menu items! read more
I've been here several times and tried a different menu item with great results each time. Simply put - Tavern 4&5 is consistently good! My journey of new adventures ends tonight as I was made aware that a Cajun "creole" pasta is a new and permanent fixture on the menu. Despite having the same meal at a different place last night, I signed up immediately. So. Darn. Good! The sauce flavor, the onions and peppers, and the pulled chicken. One of the best cajun pastas in the metro for sure! I did skip the shrimp and sausage, so if you have a favorite or like all three you have flexibility. Wonderful service and atmosphere as always. Great pub in Eden Prairie with lots of tap beer options. They have a very good happy hour with small plates that are reasonably priced. The overall space is huge, and there is a small outside patio as well. My only gripe with this place is its private room policy, over a $1200 minimum! read more

I went to Tavern 4&5 on a Saturday around brunch with 3 friends. It is located at the end of a strip mall and there is plenty of parking available. Tavern 4&5 is very large and offers lots of seating. We were able to be seated at a booth upon arrival. Our server was great and tended to all our needs. Two of my friends shared the Chicken Pot Pie and the deviled eggs. They really enjoyed the deviled eggs. The pot pie was a bowl of the filling with a square of the pastry on the top of the filling. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was tasty and filling. The tortilla chips were definitely a highlight of the dish. The 4th person at the table ordered the beef burrito and enjoyed it. Overall a nice experience. read more

This place is AWESOME. I got a Kick'n Chicken sandwhich and it was very, VERY good. They have my favorite soda, Mr. Pibb. And the staff are very nice and polite. The Ambiance is fancy looking, but they got some good rock and other music to listen to. 5/5 stars, you need to come here very soon! read more
We were coming back from a wine tasting in Waconia and found this a spot on our way home. There were several options on the menu that looked good and I chose the pot pie. It was served piping hot. The pot pie was basically the insides with a giant pastry on top. I ate a couple of bites of the pastry but ended up just focusing on the filling. The roasted chicken was delicious. Service was good. We had to move tables because we were frozen in the first table. The new high top table was good. The atmosphere was similar to Tavern Grill. read more

Our first time here. We came because they are affiliated to Hazelwood and we enjoy the food there. Cheese curds - 4/5 forgot to take a photo. They were very good. Cheese was "thick". Taking a point off because you didn't get much for the price. Chester's turkey avocado sandwich - 4/5 very good. Avocado spread was a nice addition. Turkey meat was good. Fries were a little salty but good. Reuben - 3/5 first couple bites were really good. But after that the sour flavor really took over. Likely the pickling spice they use but you could smell it after a few bites. Also, the meat was chopped. Personally prefer it to be sliced. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice. One thing I noticed was that there were multiple employees drinking after their shift at a table. They were pretty loud as well. It was obvious they were employees because they were going into the back of the house area. As a customer, if I can clearly notice that their employees that are just hanging around after their shift, I dont personally think its a good look. read more
