Spacious and delicious! In addition, there's a massive parking lot which takes away from 99.9% of stress as it relates to parking. We dined in at Tavern 4&5 with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were made in advance and our table got seated quickly upon arrival. Similar to any tavern, the dining in experience is laid back and casual. You do not need to be dressed up by any measure to eat here. The menu is robust and I had a difficult time choosing as every item sounded great. A few members in our party had been here before and recommended the Thai chicken lettuce wraps off the appetizer menu and they did not disappoint. It was very fresh and I could tell it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp. For my main entree, I got the Chicken Yum Yum which is a bowl with fried chicken, ginger soy sauce, coconut fried rice, mushrooms, edamame, egg, green onions, sesame seeds and yum yum sauce. It was nice to be able to find an Oriental meal at a tavern. Our service was excellent for having such a large party and I felt as if the prices were reasonable. Nice little sports bar and grille! Place has enough TVs to see from most spots but they aren't absolutely everywhere. Went for lunch mid week and it was starting to fill up pretty fast. Service was very attentive and gave good suggestions. Despite it being busy, our food came out pretty quickly and it was all very good! Portions big enough for me to have a full other meal out of it. Looking back at my previous review, I must say, I have given this another shot (or actually quite a few) and we have fallen for this place, especially for breakfast. We have frequented this place many a time for Sunday Brunch and have really found a lot of great things on the menu. My husband loves the Eggs Benedict, I have tried the breakfast burrito, breakfast pizza and just yesterday tried the chicken biscuits and gravy and it is fantastic! They serve a gouda hash browns and they are phenomenal! We have also passed around a few cocktails including their bloody mary and espresso martini and they do a great job! We visited tavern 4&5 on new years day and what a treat it was! The parking lot was pretty full, but we had no trouble getting a seat for 3. My husband got the Salami pizza and rated it a 9.2/10 - it was a pretty wer pizza, but tasted amazing. I think the huge salami pieces are hilarious. I got the mushroom pizza & it was soo good - definitely greasier of pizzas, but the crust was super good and had a good amount of toppings. Bloody was spicy!! But you get a good amount with a lot of toppings. The latte options are a great pick-me-up for an early morning, I liked the Cinna latte! After our original dinner plans fell through, we decided to give this place a try. Here's what you need to know: Free parking and plenty of it! The service: We were sat fairly quickly and our waitress was so nice!! She was constantly checking in on us and made sure we got everything. Our drinks were running behind, but she made sure to communicate that. Very appreciated. The decor: This is your classic, get drinks, watch the game and hang out kind of place. Would be good for a group hang out or family get together. The food: The stand out items were the truffle fries (seasoned so well!) and the tater tots! The tots were large (so you don't get as many) But it's almost like a mix of mashed potatoes and hashbrowns. They are soft, so of crunch tots it's your thing, you are not going to like this. The PR has was new for me. It was delicious and flavorful. MN 4 on the spicy scale with mayo/flour being a 1. If you are a person who really enjoys spice it will be a 1/10 and you will need to ask for more. But not too much because you don't want to kill all the rich flavor !!!! Great atmosphere, a little loud but good sized tables for socializing. There's a bar area as well as high tops and booths for general dining. The brunch menu has a large selection to choose from. We each had a bloody ($4 less for virgin bloody) and enjoyed the house made mix, the spicy bloody is definitely spicy and the cheese on both bloodies was spicy too! My breakfast burrito wasn't super flavorful and it was all one texture but it tasted decent and the salsa on the side added a lot of flavor--get an extra side of salsa right away (added: to be fair, I'm not a huge breakfast person in general). My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette and said the Gouda hashbrowns were fantastic and the Tillamook cheese had a good cheddar taste. Good service overall, everything was hot and fresh. Who knew pickles and corned beef went with poached eggs so well? Not me. The 4-5 benny looked great, as well as the huevos rancheros, and veggie omelet. Superb service with excellent eats. It started to get really busy as the night went on so I would be sure to make a reservation especially if you have a bigger party. We also ordered the pretzel to share which was very tasty but a smaller portion size than we were expecting. My journey of new adventures ends tonight as I was made aware that a Cajun "creole" pasta is a new and permanent fixture on the menu. Despite having the same meal at a different place last night, I signed up immediately. So. Darn. Good! The sauce flavor, the onions and peppers, and the pulled chicken. Tavern 4&5 is very large and offers lots of seating. We were able to be seated at a booth upon arrival. Our server was great and tended to all our needs. Two of my friends shared the Chicken Pot Pie and the deviled eggs. They really enjoyed the deviled eggs. The pot pie was a bowl of the filling with a square of the pastry on the top of the filling. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was tasty and filling. The tortilla chips were definitely a highlight of the dish. The 4th person at the table ordered the beef burrito and enjoyed it. I had dinner with a party of eight here to celebrate my adult son's birthday. There were seven adults and a two year old. My son is an accomplished amateur chef and this is one of his favorite spots but when we arrived I had my doubts. We had reservations at 5:45 on a Thursday evening and when we arrived there were a lot of people waiting and it seemed somewhat chaotic although we were seated promptly. Reservations seem like a good idea even on a week night. Honestly I expected another burgers and pizza place but the menu offers a lot of choices. We shared an order of nachos to start. They were good. So many places now offer nachos which are simply a gooey mess of cheese and tortillas chips but these were nicely spiced and the chips weren't overwhelmed by the sauce I had the walleye tacos and my wife had the chicken pot pie (the menu is eclectic !). Both were very good. The Tavern follows the upper mid west tradition of not sending anyone home hungry and servings are large. We both brought some food home for lunch. Fries were a little salty but good. Reuben - 3/5 first couple bites were really good. But after that the sour flavor really took over. Likely the pickling spice they use but you could smell it after a few bites. Also, the meat was chopped. Personally prefer it to be sliced. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice. One thing I noticed was that there were multiple employees drinking after their shift at a table. They were pretty loud as well. It was obvious they were employees because they were going into the back of the house area. RC was interested in a Yum Yum bowl until she told him the beef would be well-done vs rare as he wanted. He switched to the Cowboy Burger without cheese and fries. I got the Boursin Juicy Lucy with a side of slaw and an additional order (not a side!) of tater tots. RC's burger was nicely cooked at medium and he said the fries were just ok. The tots were hot, crispy, and nicely seasoned so he left the fries. And the tots come with BACON KETCHUP. I mean ... bacon makes everything better, right? So yummy. My Juicy Lucy was served on a pretzel bun (I hate those and had requested a brioche) and T-Fin offered to switch the top out but I had realized I had to eat the monster with a knife and fork anyway, so I just took the pretzel top off and scraped the cheese back onto my Lucy. It was delicious. Often stuffed burgers get overcooked but this was perfect. I scraped my plate. The cole slaw was not nearly as successful. Continually ordering drinks and food. 45 minutes after ordering food, one of us was told they were out of what we ordered. So he ordered something else. Which never came out.
