Amazing Customer service, came 5 minutes to close to ask to see if a plug I had installed was sealed properly. They not only were the only auto shop in Abilene to assist, they also provided excellent service and lent a helping hand. I have specialty 315 30R 22 tires (very hard to find), they not only new the tire as true professionals but even assisted in installing the wheel allowing me to avoid BMW's infamous scissor jack. One star is too many!!! So why do you make an appointment??? To waste more time!!! I talked to Robert (the manager) n he even screwed it up. They did get it in but for a 1000 appointment it got taken back at 1045. It's currently 1325 n it's still not done!!! Alignment along w rotate 4 tires. A 2 hr job at the most. If Firestone Corp wonders why-I'll b glad to tell them!! Piss poor management!!! Maybe fire some people n the rest may get the hint. This will b the last time using this place!!! women beware, friend of mine got a estimate today to have front pads and rotor's replaced, they use Autozone discount parts and mark up a 100% and had labor @ 400.00 , the whole job at nearly 700.00 for a job that takes a competent tech a hour to do. pathetic what they try to pull on women. I made a 1:00 appointment to have my windshield washer line repaired on my F450. I showed up at 12:45 to give them the key and wait for repairs. At 4:00 I was asking for my key back since no one had even touched it or told me what was taking so long. Got four new tires done here. They were nice enough to get me in between appointments so I could get back to my cross country drive. I drove away and the car felt okay, but not four new tires great. At my final destination, I went to another Firestone because the tire pressure light came on (weird when I got new tires two days before). They mentioned whoever put my new tires on did not align them or balance them - good to know I paid $800 to not get that done. They also said they messed up some of the tire pressure sensors when putting on the new tires, and also that one tire was not aligned flesh w the rim, so it was leaking air my 1,000 mile drive. Not a great experience for all that money. read more

Terrible experience at this location. Went for an oil change. The tech stripped out my oil pan, put in an oversized drain plug and didn't and no one told me. So I went home and parked the truck. The next day I was came out to find 3qts had leaked out. Took my vehicle back to the shop. They tried to say the oil pan was already stripped and deny responsibility. Then they put the max sized oversized drain plug on my loctite and replaced the oil. Afterwards contacted the claims dept. Then had to wait 8 months before the company sent me the money to replace the oil pan. I only hope no one else has to go what through what I went through. read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. My husband needed an oil change and his tires rotated. Being new to the area he decided to go to Firestone, a known reputable company....Wrong! 1st We had an appt and it took almost 3hrs, which ended up being the countdown to disaster! Paid for the services and was on his less then 7mile drive home and BAM! My husband thought he hit a large pothole (road construction making the roads bad) until he sees his front wheel tooling down the street. Yup, his wheel came off. To make matters worse, HE had to call OUR insurance to get the tow truck and have it towed back to firestone. Then they wanted to just put the wheel back on and send him on his way. Really?? Picture a large lifted diesel truck slamming into the concrete at 30mph with NO damage. Um ok, I am no mechanic but I do know that a vehicle was meant to operate with 4 functioning wheels, not 3. The men seemed annoyed that my husband was not ok with just putting his wheel back on. When we inquired about a rental, they told us that WE can pay for it out of our pocket and MAYBE we would get reimbursed. My husband is a firefighter for a city that is over an hour away and has been putting in extra time to cover for the courageous men sent to help with the hurricane disaster. I work locally with 3 kids to shuffle around as well. We are bot rich and unfortunately our insurance does not have rental car coverage (Yup husband was in charge of that) and now we are down a vehicle because of someone not following safety protocols! First let me say my daughter made an appointment at 5:00, but thought she made it for 6:00. She figured she put in the wrong time because she doesn't get off work until 5:00. And she understood that she might not get it seen at that moment for showing up late. But that's not the issue, the issue was the rudeness of Roberto and his staff. She only asked if could still see her since everyone was just standing around playing games and chatting. A rude hard NO with no eye contact was made by Roberto, the manager. No, I wasn't there, but I did call to speak to Roberto, and he stated to me that he only had 1 tech working and had a backup of 4 cars waiting. Not sure why he didn't explain that to my daughter instead of being rude. I sent her there expecting kindness since that is what I received from Roberto and Oscar on a previous occasion. Kindness goes a long way Roberto, whether you're having a bad day or not. All my daughter needed was someone to look at why her tire was going flat every morning. I told her to check out Pep Boys. They were nice and polite. They got her in and found the issue right away. My daughter did not need RUDNESS on top of a bad tire. So just be nice to the next daughter or person that comes your way. That's not asking for much. read more

Great Customer Service, extremely honest and really a great automotive center. As a little background, My son's truck broke down in Abilene on the way back to school. A parent's worst nightmare and also an opportunity for an automotive center to take advantage of a bad situation. Firestone was just incredible. They completed a thorough diagnostic on the truck, found the problem and immediately called back. As I asked questions, they actually got the tech on the phone that was working on the truck to completely answer my questions. I wish that I lived in Abilene because I would love to give them all of my automotive repair and tire business. What could have been a horrible experience was just incredible! These guys rock! They did a great job fixing my car. They were friendly, professional, and honest. They had my car back to me the next morning instead of the 3-4 days I was told by a couple of other shops. They even fixed a strange squeak I couldn't trace and topped off my power steering fluid at no cost. I will DEFINITELY be bringing my car back to them for any future repairs. read more

I have been using this great team of Professional tech's to take care of my Corvette, my daughter's car and my work truck for the past 15+ years. They have always done a great job in keeping us on the road with their level of expertise in all areas automotive. I have bought all my tires from them and have enjoyed a long service wear life from them. The repairs to my daughter's vehicle suspension were done fast and correct. Providing her a safe car for trips home from college. The repairs to my work truck have always been spot on. I know when they fix something it is done correct and my safety on the road is always important to them. They have fixed things that the Dodge house has let slide in the past. When I bring them a problem it is resolved in a timely manner. The waiting room is clean and comfortable with a TV to help pass the time. The staff is always friendly and very helpful to explain things in detail to help you understand your options for repair.
