First time ever writing reviews but this has been easily the worst auto repair experience I have ever had and the whole experience felt shady and grimy. I brought my car in solely to address a fluid issue on the rear passenger-side brake line. The car drove in with functioning brakes on the other three wheels and zero dashboard warning lights and the brakes felt 10x better before I gave it to FireStone. After keeping the car for days (From late Sunday ~3:00pm -Wednesday 4pm or so?), they returned it completely undriveable: zero hydraulic pedal pressure, the pedal sinking straight to the floorboard, and red brake failure warning lights illuminated on the dash. They tried to gaslight me about the issue already being present and took no responsibility for rendering the vehicle completely unsafe to drive, and dismissed it by saying it was "going to happen eventually." Rather than performing basic hydraulic isolation tests to trace the blockage, they had to do a brake fluid exchange in which they made the issue worse and broke my master cylinder? (There was no such issue beforehand and I'm assuming they broke it due to the repeated brake fluid bleeds they attempted [they said five hours and repeated bleeding] and completely failed, the brake fluid leaked all over my wheels and they made no attempts in cleaning it up). I'm just baffled at how much worse my brakes became after their work compared to before and the audacity to ask me for $700 to fix the master cylinder AND SAYING FURTHER that they cannot be sure that there's no more problems, just asking for me to be upcharged more. I went to another auto shop and they gave me much more transparent ideas of what's happening, they told me the brake fluid had leaked all over the wheels and the extent of the issues which FireStone could not provide, stating they must fix this one issue and then another pops up. The only reconciliation was that they were willing to put up with my dad's complaining and was willing to deduct the diagnostic fee from the master cylinder repair ($691.99 to ~$530) but then turned around and declined after my dad complaining that he doesn't trust them (lol to my dad but also fair of FireStone to do). TL;DR Brought in a drivable car with zero warning lights just to find the issue with one rear brake line. After keeping it for 3 days, Firestone completely botched the bleed, leaked brake fluid all over my wheels without cleaning it, caused more issues, and returned the car 100% undriveable. Paid $300 for my car that's in a worse state, congratz FireStone, you played me. read more

I sat for 45 mins at Firestone in Plano (Coit Road) and was finally informed the alignment machine was not working. Was sent to this store (McDermitt in Allen) after they called the store and made sure I could get right in for the alignment. Arrived and checked in. After 45 mins I saw my truck was still in the parking lot and when I inquired a guy came out and said he had sent a guy home (didn't say why) and it would be another 2 hours or more. I said I had to get back to work and he said I could reschedule. I said I had been goofing with this alignment for almost 3 hours and could not come back. He said he was sorry and I said I need my car in 45 mins. He finally got it aligned for me and I left to go back to work. I will not use this location again. Poor customer service and communication is non-existent. read more

I went to AutoZone to get a diagnostic for free. They gave me a printout with the three codes and what was the matter. I took this to Firestone and they insisted on doing their own diagnostic for $129. But they couldn't do it today (2:30 Sunday; they close at 5) so it would have to be tomorrow. I'll pass. I just left. I'll take my business to a neighborhood shop that knows what they're doing. read more

I brought my car here about 2 months ago for an oil change and they were awesome. I'm having engine problems at the moment so I took it in for an oil change and they offer a "courtesy" check so maybe I could find out the problem and get it repaired. The young man walked back into the garage and then came out and told me it would be $99.99 to do a diagnostic check on it. The engine light is on but doesn't it usually come on if there is a problem with the engine? Maybe I'm old school but why do shops want to charge you for checking? It's possible business for these guys. I declined the check because I just don't have an extra hundred bucks sitting in my wallet. I don't even know why they offer a "courtesy" check? I used to go to Davidson Auto Care just across the street but they repaired something I didn't ask for and when I left, $600 later, I still had the same problem. I still got the oil change and he never asked me for what type. I wanted the advertised standard for $29.99 but he never mentioned anything. An hour after I got there, they were done. They did charge me for the standard oil change but they came out telling me about copper build up in the brake fluid and then trying to sell me tires. And telling me my battery needs a check up. The surprised look on his face when I told him it was a new battery from THEM! I have problems with my car but they really didn't seem to care about fixing those problems. I will start by saying I have a DTC code reader, in August 2023, it said code p0455 (evap system leak, which dash message check fuel inlet) I go to Firestone, they t ell me the fix is stone $300, $400+ with the diagnostic and they replace the fuel canister purge valve 2 drives later by the next day the check engine light comes on, reading the same code (p0455, evap leak) but I'm angry and busy so I don't get around to it 4 months later in December, i finally can make time so i call them, and they say if its the same specific part (purge valve) , they can comp the diagnostic, but if not i still have to pay There is ZERO reason that they should charge someone when THEY DIDN'T FIX IT THE FIRST TIME, i spent $400 before, i might need to spend $400 again, is there a guarantee it will actually fix it this time? This store charged $117 for synthetic oil change on a 1/2 ton pickup after a $15 off coupon. And they won't tell you the price of the oil change BEFORE you pull into the bay. By the time Firestone tells you the price, they have already pulled the oil plug. So you have no choice at that point. Compared to the costs of the oil and filter of $35, 117 is ridiculous for 15 minutes of work. And, they looked for EVERY opportunity to upsell. Not only does this business overcharge you, they pressure you to overpay for more services you may or may not need. read more

Went in for inspection and came back 20+ mins later to my car running unattended in the parking lot. Staff handled the situation very poorly and didn't understand that anyone could've drove off with my car. Engine got overheated due to running idle for who knows how long. read more

We bought a new tire replacement but they didn't do it. We found out on it thru Another service. When we bring it back they did everything they can trying to get us to pay again. After several arguments we finally got out of the situation. They are just flat out bad. don't go there! read more

When this place first opened, it was so well run. Now, appointment or not, the wait is extremely long. 7 am appointment went all the way to 9 am. They either need more staff to back up their claims on time or be honest and say it's going to take a really long time, feel free to go on vacation. read more

I made appointment for 10am for some basic stuff, get in and was told it would be an hour and a half-2 hours. Here I am 2 hours later at 12 and the car still hasn't even been touched, not even started. what is the point of making an appointment if I'm still waiting 3+ hours, I avoid the dealership because of wait times but if they're just the same might as well just go there. Let me preface this with saying I have limited vision during daylight and almost none at night. On Wednesday morning my car had an intermittent problem with cranking up. I had my car towed to the Allen Firestone On Greenville and called to give them a heads up of its arrival. I spoke with Nathan and explained my car's issues. Very shortly there after they called me with what they thought was about a 95% guarantee of a bad Starter. But because of the placement of the Starter, it was going to be quite expensive, almost $800. After picking my teeth up off the floor, I told Nathan I was old, low vision and military and I needed every discount he could come up with. Nathan called me back in about 10 minutes and we were able to come to a happy median. My car was completed prior to dusk but too late for me to drive it home. Nathan said he would park it inside the service bay as I asked. (It's my only car and I needed to ensure it was safe.) I realize this level of service, professionalism and just general darn niceness may be common at this Firestone but to me it was amazing and very much appreciated. The customer service is way beyond from what I expected 110%, especially the customer service that I have received at other Firestone locations. I highly recommend this location and will continue to come here even though I have to drive 35min and pass 10+ Firestone locations. read more

I went to FireStone location in allen on S Greenville Rd and after i got there they told me I don't have an appointment for 1:30 when i had called and spoke to gentleman and made the appointment. They were extremely rude and not even apologize for tbeir mistakes and in return said that i had wait for long time due to other ahead of me which is inconvenience for me because i made the appointment and for their misdeed i had to pay the price for it. As always they are short staff and been goin since holidays( which was their excuse). I took time off from work which was waste of my time and money and was not able to get done what i needed. I strongly don't recommend this specific location to take your car because it's granted same thing can happen again. Call to make the appointment and when you get there no appointment shows on record.. very rude and unprofessional staff especially the two staff members standing in front.... Customer should never have to pay the price of the store employee misdeeds and irresponsibility... couple months back they fixed by car but caused other issues which i had to pay someone to fix it abd since this was just an oil change i thought i come back due to location convenience but i regret i did that.... read more
