Made an appointment for 10:30am and arrived at 10:40am. Was told they didn't have my appointment in the system but could take me. I needed a new tire, but they convinced me to get 3 for the fourth one free. When I asked how long it would take, they told me 1.5 hours. After waiting for 2 hours, I asked how long it would be since I was told 1.5 hours but it had been 2. He responded "you haven't been here 2 hours." He corrected me that it had actually only been 1 hour and 50 minutes... overall it took 3 hours and made me late for everything else I had going on that day. Not great. read more

What can I say about this place? They have come a lonng way. I've been going to this Firestone for a few years now because it is close to my job. Usually I'll drop my car off in the morning before work, wait for my upsell call, give my yay or nay and then pick up my car on my lunch break. It's really convenient for me to do it this way. The people working there are very friendly. Kurt in particular is my favorite. He remembers my name and always greets my with a smile and a hand shake. When he calls back with recommendations, I never feel pressured to do anything. He lets me know which things need immediate attentiona and what can wait. On my most recent visit, I let Kurt know what my budget was and he ranked things in order of price and importance to me make an informed decision. I did some work at another shop before I went to them but I couldnt remember what exactly was done. He went into my messy glove compartment for me and found the document. That also helped me to make the right choice and not duplicate any work that was already done by another place. He gave me a manilla envelope so I can gather all of my car work documents and put them behind my seat. How genius is that?! Not sure why I never thought of it. Now my glove compartment is way cleaner. The shop is clean and there's a cool seating area where you can wait for your car. As other people mentioned, they do offer you upsells but it is a requirement for their job. If you don't want to get it done, just tell them you're not interested. I would NEVER return to this shop...EVER! Called on 4/3 and stated that I needed my front brakes done and an oil change. Stated that I would bring the car in on 4/4 around 9am and would need it finished by 5pm. I was assured by Anthony that it would be more than enough time to get everything done. Returned to the shop to pick up my car at 5:10. Not only was the car NOT finished, I was told that they didn't even have the correct brake pads to finish the job. My car sat for 7+ HOURS for NOTHING. Not one call from the shop to inform me that they didn't have what was needed or that they wouldn't finish on time prior to me getting there. I was put in a rental an hour later, arrived to class 20 minutes late and missed another very important class because I had to rush back to the shop before they closed to pick up my car after FINALLY getting serviced. If you are at or capacity and unable to service cars in a reasonable amount of time, this should be explained to the customer ahead of time. It is unacceptable that it took a total of 9 hours for my car to receive SIMPLE maintenance when I could have taken my vehicle elsewhere and had my vehicle back on time. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Purchased tires in 2019 for close to $600 which should come with a warranty. One of the tires started losing air (via the tire pressure sensor) they put air in it twice (in Oct 2019 and again in April) amd in between I would fill myself. Finally in August 2020 I decide to not take air in mt tire as a resolution. Ahhh. Now there's a nail in my tire. They "repair" it and THE SAME DAY the same tire goes flat! I have to miss work (for a problem that should have been resolved earlier in the day. I call customer service and am promised a "free tire" and I'm charged a fee. Horrible experience. RUDE EMPLOYEES! It seems like most people took their vehicles here due to the proximity to their jobs, homes, etc. Well, add me to that list. Now I've learned that I have to be willing to travel farther to get what I truly need. Took my vehicle here to get headlamp bulbs replaced and a new battery. The price the quoted me for the xenon bulbs was reasonable and the battery works great. BUT....... I receive a call while at home (left after being told it would be a 3-4hr wait) stating that they were unable to change the bulbs and that I might have to take it to a specialty shop and expect the price to be at least double. I don't understand because although I do have aftermarket headlamps, I've had the bulbs changed out with NO PROBLEM while I was still living in Michigan yet it is a huge ordeal down in GA. The overall experience wasn't exactly terrible, but I likely won't be back. read more

Do not trust this place. I've been going here for years for routine maintenance and something seems to have changed. I was told in November that I needed to replace a battery and I passed knowing that I replaced a battery just a few years ago. Recently had issues that required them to run a diagnostic. I was told that I needed a new alternator and "turn signal flasher" and was given a quote that exceeded $1000. The way it was being pushed on me seemed shady so I decided to take it elsewhere and had my car towed out of there. Thankfully I did, as I was able to get a new alternator for half the cost and did not need to replace a "turn signal flasher", they likely threw that in because I mentioned that the issues I was experiencing started when I turned on my turn signal. Although I probably could have gotten the same for free elsewhere, luckily only paid them $107 for a diagnostic. Almost forgot, that same battery I was told I needed to replace in November, it tested fine with them this time. hmmmmm.... read more

The only reason why I came here was because it is 0.5 miles from my job, and I figured that I could get in and out on my lunch break with an appointment. I scheduled my appointment here at 12:15, and got here at noon. Discussed an oil change, and getting a battery replacement. While the service here was cordial, they really have absolutely no concept of other people's time. My car waited in the parking lot until 12:40, then until 1:20 within the actual garage. I actually had to get someone's attention, and mention that I had already been there almost an hour and a half, and to inquire if they were even working on car. They finished it in 10 minutes after I asked about it. Of course they tried to sell me other services, but I wasn't biting. Besides that, it was about $30 for the oil change, and the price of my new battery and installation for that. Not a bad price, and not bad service, but maaaan did it take forever, even with a schedule. read more

I got to work this morning and had a screw in my tire. I was able to schedule a same day direct mobile service. Chris and Matt were awesome. They weren't able to plug it as it was in the sidewall. They did all the work of searching for a new tire and going to get it, etc. I didn't have to take time off work and wait in a waiting room. It is the best service to me. I read the other review saying anything other than tires and oil changes they can't handle. Well, they can't even handle oil changes. I made an appointment for a (quick) oil change and it took over an hour of waiting for them to finish my car. This is unacceptable for an oil change, especially considering I planned ahead and made an appointment. After twenty-five minutes, the guy came out to upcharge me specialty add-ons for just a mere $200 more. I only wanted a quick oil change for my car that only 10,000 miles on it. After I declined his offer, my car sat up on the platform for another 30 minutes. read more

The guys and gals here are always honest and even though they will quote a lot of work they tell you only the important things that need to be done. $29.99 for a Oil change is an average price for Atlanta but when they check out the car and rotate the tire, this is the added care that I really appreciate. Lastly the Lifetime Alignment program is a lifesaver. Living in Atlanta there are hundreds of potholes and poorly constructed road that throw off my tire's alignment. Because I purchased this program I have it checked every oil change and adjusted when ever needed at no additional cost. read more

This has been the worst experience at any professional establishment I've encountered. They ignored the appointment I made with them ahead of time for a simple oil change. I waited an hour and a half before my car was brought back and when I asked how much longer it would take ( which was an hour after I'd been waiting) the attendant was rude and dismissive. I was in Take 5 a couple months ago for an oil change. Not only were they efficient, but very professional. Unfortunately the filter they put in was bunk and caused the truck to drip oil slowly. When I realized it I thought for sure I was just screwed because of the time lapse. I went to see John and his crew at Sandy Springs location with the problem. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!! the workers will cause your vehicles to have more issues than stated. I got my car repaired and paid 1000 bucks. When we picked up the car it started shaking on every bump and uneven terrain. It is so scary my wife is fear of meeting an accident because of this issue. This issue was not in the car before we went to this service center. I've been here for complete auto inspections, tire alignments, and oil changes. I've been to other Firestones for the same type of appointments plus brake services as well. There has never been a problem with any of my service appointments at this location. They've always done it in a timely manner. As far as "upselling", I think it is nice for them to offer me additional options if I wanted it. It's better than not being offered the options, not knowing about it, and wanting it/needing it later. That would mean a separate trip. The guys are knowledgeable about what they do and just try to have you leave with a car that is safe and healthy. They are nice, too. I always call, book an appointment online, or go first thing in the morning so my wait time is never too long. I always leave knowing what my car needs in future visits. They also let me know they price match which helps my wallet. Don't be rude to these guys. They are just trying to do their job and help you. read more

I went in for the first time for an oil change and was greeted as soon as I walked in. The place was neat and clean and only waited a few minutes to be seen. I showed them a coupon from there site off my phone and got a discount $26 oil change. It took about an hour and a half but I was across the street at Chuy's having a margarita so it was fine. I returned and they also did a free check of the car and found wipers need changing, two tires were low on tread and alignment. These were things I knew I already needed so they did not throw in bs repairs which makes me want to go back again. everyone was extremely friendly and respectful. An oil change is a great way to test the waters when going to a repair shop. They passed. read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review, so I hope I do it right. However, I felt compelled to do so. I have been using Firestone-Perimeter for all my car maintenance and tires for over 20 years. I have four cars, mine, my wife's, and two daughters. Up until the past few years, I have always been very satisfied. On one of my cars, I had them pro-actively replace my daughters battery. They said they replaced it, charged me for it, then a year later it died on my daughter. It turns out, they never replaced the old battery. Last year, my daughter's check engine light came on. They said that the engine codes said that it needed a new Catalytic Converter and would cost over $2,000. I took it elsewhere and they said the codes confirmed it was not the Catalytic Converter and fixed it for 1/3 the price Firestone quoted. Most recently, check engine light came on and Firestone said that the coils and spark plugs needed replacing. This seemed odd because they replaced the spark plugs 2 years earlier as part of recommended maintenance. Took car elsewhere, they said that the spark plugs needed replacing, charged 1/2 the price, and said that it was very doubtful that the spark plugs were replace 2 years prior. I am so disappointed. I trusted Firestone for so many years, but no longer do. read more

I've had a number of small repairs for both my car and my wife's car. I've gotten tires and I get my cars serviced here. But anything more than tires and oil changes are a bit too challenging for the team here. Save yourself some time and money and head to a specialist. I drive a Subaru and they just failed after replacing parts that did not need to be replaced. I get my oil changes and tires ( with road hazard coverage) from this location. About a year ago I came in for my quarterly oil change. The technician noticed a small leak around my oil pan or gasket area. He recommended to take it my car dealer to check and see if it was under warranty. I set up an appointment for a Friday morning and they were able to get me early as I had arrived earlier than expected. In addition to new tires, I had a full alignment done as well and everything turned out well; with no attempt to do any up selling or adding additional unneeded services. I went across the street for lunch and they had my car ready before I could finish eating. Also the Lifetime alignment is an amazing deal. I cannot stress enough that anyone thinking of using this location should strongly go somewhere else. I brought my vehicle here for tire replacements and left with wheel issue. I have brought the vehicle there three times and they forgot to fix it. I finally gave up and decided I'm just going to take my vehicle to another location and pay out of my own pocket to fix it because I'm tired of dealing with it. If you bring your vehicle here you risk the possibility of having damages done to your vehicle that will leave you completely frustrated. It appears to have subpar mechanics. The gentleman who runs the front desk is amazing. Today I was heading to Charlotte for an afternoon flight. I stopped at a different place to get my oil changed (who doesn't do tires). When they were rotating my tires, they found they were dangerously worn on the inside - you couldn't see it unless the tires were off. I had to have new tires to get to Charlotte safely. Four new tires. And I had to be on the road by 12 to make my flight. This man got me in and out in about 30 minutes when I told him my issue. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. I made it to the airport with 30 mins to spare. Such a kind thing to do - he personally took care of my car and didn't miss a beat taking care of customers as they came in the store. The two times I've been here was for an oil change since I had a coupon for $15.95 for the whole year. The first time I was charged less than the amount on the coupon with recommendation for other services which I didn't get trapped into. The second time I was charged close to $20 with the same coupon.. Not sure how that happened. And again they recommended to have all these different services done, which is listed in the second paragraph. They also said I would need new tires really soon or else it won't last until my next oil change. I was worried since I don't really have a clue about cars and I will be driving ~700 miles next week. So, I decided to take it to Coastal on Lower Roswell since they are 100% honest. Everything Firestone recommended was something unnecessary and I found out they will try to get you to do all these services since they get commission. In addition to needing to change my tires NOW, Firestone recommended to get my air filters and cabin air filter changed, do a brake fluid exchange, get a battery corrosion package, and my coolant flushed. When I went to COASTAL, they showed me my air filter was still clean, cabin air filters were most likely not even checked (my oil change was done in about 30 min and since the cabin air filter is underneath the dash board, it would take them at least 30 min to go in and check just that), brake fluids do not need to be changed (pretty much never), yes there was some corrosion on my battery but Coastal cleaned it for free, and my coolant was also clean. I also don't need new tires for at least another few thousand miles. I could even drive it to Pittsburgh and come back without a problem. Oh, the oil change that was done? They put too much oil. It was more than 1/4 of the way past where it was suppose to be. This won't cause any issues but they can't even do an oil change correctly?? Well, let me just say that the coupon is in the trash now. read more

They charged me $299 for a battery and when I questioned it they said that my car only took that type of battery. I paid for it and then did some research, I looked at the suggested retail price for the battery and then called some more auto shops to see how much a battery would cost. Every place told me $159-$175. I called and talked to the store manager and he finally told me that they just didn't have the $159 battery in stock so that's why they gave me the $299 battery. Then I asked why they marked up the $229 suggested retail price to $299 and he couldn't give me an answer. I'm a young female and I was by myself and I really do feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. read more

I brought my car in for rotate and balance, waited for 1.5 hours and then discovered that they charged me for the rotation but didn't actually do it. I went in for a Brake service and I had a coupon of $89.95 per axle, they said the normal brake pads wont fit it has to be a ceramic which cost me $120/ Axle. After initial inspection they said that brake rotors also needs replacement, when I contested that view they said the rotors are good to go hence I saved my good money. Secondly I was told that the brake will cost me couple of hrs, but in realty they messed up with the sequence in which the customers arrived, they ran short of brake pads and all this mismanagement cost me 3.5 hrs instead of estimated 2 hrs. Finally when I asked them to show me the worn out brake pads they simply gave me some brake pads from some other vehicle which I figured it out by matching the part details on the internet. I feel that when you go for any repairs make sure you know what you want to get done else these folks are going to rip you off with all sorts of unnecessary part replacement or flushing advise. read more

I dropped off the vehicle and received a call a few hours later that the tires I was quoted were incorrect and comparable tires would cost me more. I asked for a manager and there was no manager on site to give me the tires comparable to the ones I was quoted for the same price. Horrible experience and poor service from the representative. I was so disappointed in my entire visit to Firestone. I've been having issues with a new/used car I just bought. I heard noises when I was braking and assumed my brake pads needed to be replaced. I left my car at 8:30 AM and was told I would be able to have it back at 4:30 (when I got off work) I received no phone call all day to tell me what the progress of my car was, so I finally called myself at 1:30. My car still hadn't been looked at but they promised a call back once they started. Still hadn't heard anything, and it was approaching the end of the work day. I called again at 3:30 to see what was going on, and was told a manager would call me back with the progress of my car. Never heard a thing. At 4:20 I called and said I would just come pick up my car and how upset I was that no one had gotten to me. This was the first rep who was actually pleasant and seemed like she wanted to help me. She promised me a call back. I went and got an Uber to drive around to kill time as I still did not have my car back or an update on it. She called me ten minutes later saying she'd have the mechanic call me shortly. By 5:15 I got a call from a gentleman that said my brakes were fine, but my rotors needed adjusting. I told him to proceed. An hour passed and I never received a call. Once I got up there, the gentleman I dealt with just told me my total and that was it. Overall, this was not a good customer experience at all. I was never updated on the progress of my car, and now my car is still making the same noise it did when I brought it in. I have used Firestone in the past to replace my radiator. After this, I will not go back again after this experience. read more
