3 months ago, I had an emissions part replaced. Yesterday, my engine light came on and, without checking reviews, I dropped off my car at the Firestone location on Montfort in Addison, Tx. They said they would call me in 2 hours. I called them after 3 1/2. They said they were working on it and would quickly let me know. They called 1 1/2 hours later to state it would be just under $2,000 to fix (2 Lexus parts and 5+ hours of labor, if they could even find a small emissions leak). I said "no" and I'm taking an Uber to pick up my car. Upon arrival, the customer service attendant didn't answer any of my concerns or comments and simply just didn't give a blank because he was mad I didn't spend 2 grand at their whim. Diagnostics costed me $107. Uber from- and to-costed $21 so $130 all-in and for what? Upon driving my car, the engine light was now off and my car has driven perfectly since then. Hind sight, in putting my car back together, unknowingly, they tightened an existing part which fixed the emissions leak. There NEVER was a fictitious need for over $1,000 in parts and over $900 in labor. I'm lucky I said "no." Answer: Do yourself a favor and also say "no" to this location and save yourself huge dollars in fictitious needs as well as bad customer service! read more

Came here to get my State inspection sticker. I happened to notice it expired and went to get it that same day. They took it and within about 15 - 20 minutes they were finished. They didn't try to up sell me anything I didn't need. They didn't keep me longer than expected. Great service! read more

I made an appointment and when I arrived early, it was discovered that my appointment had been lost. I asked how long it would take for a tire rotation and balance, I only had an hour. The lady told me it would take 45 minutes, and I asked her to clarify if it would take 45 minutes until I was helped or if it would be when all was finished and she confirmed only 45 minutes until it was completed. After waiting almost 20 minutes, my car had been unmoved from the place I had parked it when I arrived. I won't be coming back here. Every time I have an appointment it is not honored and I wind up spending hours there. I asked for my keys back and the person at the counter did not even care. read more

I've been coming here for 7 years for all my auto needs. I have an older car and their prices beat the dealership. The staff is great and very knowledgeable of all makes and models. I have received honesty and great service here every time. I had a bad experience down the street from here at Midas, I thought the guys were trying to cheat me and sure enough they were. The guys here at Firestone not only resolved my problem, but did it much faster and for less money! I trust firestone with all my auto needs! I've been a Firestone customer for 8 years. On March 8th, I took my truck into this Firestone location because my alignment was out and my steering wheel was vibrating as I drove down the road (later found out this was a blown rear shock absorber and my alignment was out). Firestone had my truck for 2 hours and determined there was nothing wrong with my truck. I went to pick up my truck and the tech hit my truck up against the wall, scratching and denting my bumper and the bed of my truck. Manager immediately brought it to my attention, said he would take care of the damage and a rental. Which was great that he admitted to it and offered to help, however he asked me not to fill out a claims form. Which I thought was odd, and I still don't know what that was about but it seemed shady. However, none of this was my issue with this experience. I got in my truck to drive it home (0.2 miles) and my truck drove worse than when I dropped it off. I thought it was just me being paranoid so I parked it for the night and drove my wife's car for the rest of the day. The next morning, March 9th, when I got in my truck to go to work, I noticed my tire light was on. As I began driving to the gas station to get air in my tire, I noticed there was definitely something wrong with my truck. I wobbled it to the gas station, put my money in the machine and knelt down to begin pumping air in my tires when I noticed my front wheel was CRACKED half way around the wheel, just above the lug nuts. I immediately drove my truck home (0.2 miles) and parked it. Again, took my wife's car and borrowed a car from a relative that night. The next day, March 10th, my rear tire (different than the cracked wheel) was completely flat. Now I have a cracked wheel and a flat tire, none of which existed before my trip to this Firestone location. I opened a claim with Firestone, they denied my claim. I opened a claim against Firestone through BBB, and Firestone denied any responsibility. They provided no evidence (surveillance footage, damage check, etc.), admitted to taking my truck on 2 separate test drives, and has yet to reimburse me for damages ($1,000+). I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE. If you need an oil change, go next door to Speedy's. If you need your vehicle worked on for more serious work, take it to the dealership or somewhere else. read more

Went here for years for minor maintenance. My car was at 90000 miles. Car engine was getting hot. I thought a oil change might help, and their "complimentary service check" for all engine fluids. Got the oil done. They never did a service check. I get home and my antifreeze/coolant is still empty! So, pissed off, I put in coolant instead of dex-cool cuz I didn't realize until after cheverolet's awful cooling methods. They repaired my engine after all this. I paid them $1100 to fix it. I pick it up the next day and what happens in the middle of rush hour traffic on the way to work? It starts overheating immediately, lights flashing, dex-cool exploded under hood all over engine. They wanted another $1100 to fix it and with no guarantee it wouldn't mess up again. I drove it home. Bought a used Toyota. Donated it to charity. I'm never driving a GM car again. CeCe and her team put oil in my car for no charge!! Her concerns were only to get my vehicle to it's normal state!! Story: I drove from Phoenix to Dallas (approximately 1,011 miles to my door step) with no oil in my 08 Honda Accord which I keep up exceptionally well for a woman. Proactively bringing my vehicle to be serviced before my drive to Firestone Mesa AZ Location. Thinking all is well, "please check tires for me possibly rotating tires if needed because of the drive to Dallas" Aldo responded okay and checks the tire tread and verifies all tires are evenly threaded. Check the last mileage when rotation took place and recommended that I could get them rotated in Dallas. Goes inside and come back we'll check pressure and rotate them. "Okay sounds good" While I wait.... Aldo advised "He has an UPDATE" okay what's up? Both filters are dirty... okay no problem change them. Finishes work. "Thank you so much" Checks the paperwork everything checks out green per Aldo and paperwork. Identified "low" written in lower case letter for oil level and Dirty with a capital D at least for the filters. Long story short... I drove all the way from Mesa AZ to Dallas TX with NO OIL however low oil level being identified by the technician but was only concerned with changing filters that can do no severe damage to my engine like driving without oil. Corporate will here the good work of the Monfort Location as well as the horrific work of the Mesa Location. read more

For the first time I visited Firestone in lieu of the dealership. Firestone not only offered a competitive price, but the customer service was equally comparable to the Lexus dealership. The sales associate was courteous and attentive and the time frame for the repairs was reasonable. I must admit, I thought I needed to pay an arm and a leg to receive customer service and quality repairs. Firestone is the first repair facility to demonstrate customer service is a given and they deliver it hands down, complemented by competitive pricing and quality repairs. I took my Ford here for a rear brake job and an oil change. Firestone has traditionally been more expensive than other auto repair centers. They have inflated prices for services that are offset by easily available coupons on their website. For example, the oil change was $60 (over priced), but I got an easily available 25% off coupon which makes it $45, about slightly higher than average for an oil change. Why not just offer direct "no haggle" prices up front. As far as the traditional "upselling"......? They recommended I get two new tires. I desparately need two new tires. They recommended I get my front brakes done. My front brakes were done eight months earlier. I started doubting the garage that did the front brakes so I took the wheels off and inspected the front brakes. While they were worn they were no where as badly needed as the Firestone rep recommended. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using repairpal.com to compare your local garages. Good luck! read more

Walked into this establishment and waited patiently while the associate was on the phone. Little did I know that phone call would be my same situation. As Wes hung up the phone he did not greet me politely and that's fine. So I let that go and still greeted him. And then asked if I could do an oil change. He gave little thought to it as he quickly replied NO we cant not today (mind you I just moved here and had no idea they closed at 5pm while it was 4:25 still and I get it next time I will do a better job to check what time they close). Going back to the phone call that had my same situation he also was telling that person NO as well and at least offered him an appointment. After I asked for my oil change to be done he just stared at me blankley as if he just wanted me to leave. I really felt like my business wasn't wanted I didnt even bother to ask if I could have an appointment good thing I didnt even ask for a state inspection as well (as I needed one as well). I was so frustrated with my service at Firestone. I walked in knowing I had a small leak in my front tire and all they did was try to sell, sell, sell and were not even subtle about it. I felt like since I was a young girl they thought they could play me for the fool. Not to mention after waiting 2 1/2 HOURS once I got my tire switched and another repaired it started leaking only 4 DAYS AFTER I WAS THERE! I will never be returning to Firestone for any tire repair service. I went to Discount Tires and they fixed the issue in under an hour and the staff was friendly and for ONCE I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Discout Tire also was kind enough to let me know that by putting different tires on a 4-D vehicle it could damage your transmission, Firestone had not mention of this - all they wanted was my money. read more

I would not recommend this firesome location for an oil change. I cannot speak to their other services, but I wish I had read the reviews before scheduling an appointment here. I scheduled an appointment and arrived 5 minutes early. I was under the impression that arriving for a 7am appointment would be quicker for an oil change. When I arrived I was quoted an hour wait due to the 6 cars still in the bay from the previous night. An hour wait for an oil change is unacceptable, most other places in the area can do it in 15-30 minutes, so I left. I don't think that wait is unusual there, it sounds like most people are forced to drop off their cars as it sounds like most of the waits are 2+ hours. That would've earned 2 stars but to top that off, the person who checked me in was rude when I asked a simple question. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Went there for a flush and tech called and said needed a upper radiator hose needed replaced was not cracked. But they said was spongy. They charged 47.00 for part for which they mostly likely got at autozone dayco part across the street for 15.00 and $110 for labor most shops would charge $30-40 for this job. I had them complete the order but will not come back this is considering taking advantage of customers. I stopped by this place on last week to inquire about a Catalytic Converter for a 1997 Ford Taurus. The guy stated it would cost 700.00 for the Cat, and several hundred to put it on, the price was over a Thousand Dollars. This was a complete rip off. I took my car to Irving, the Catalytic Converter was put on for a total price of 294.00. I was also able to get the car inspected with no issue. read more

I had an appointment for 4pm on 12/12 because my car was making a very strong noise. I was scared to drive. Frankie, the technician told me it would not be until 7pm that they can take a look and they might not even be able to fix it. I have no other car or ride to be able to go anywhere and I was scared for my safety to drive my car. The customer service is absolutely horrible and they do not care about the customer or their safety. They were just trying to sell me things without even looking at my car and solving the problem. Then they went on about explaining to me that the 3 hour wait is like a doctor's office. I left the place and do not intend to ever be treated like this again. Dropped vehicle off for State inspection and oil change. Called back, Gary stated Firestone truck broke down and that the only guy licensed to do inspections is in the truck. It will be later....and that additionally that once they got the oil drain plug undone it could be Monday for parts. Next day comes, no call...I send porter to get car (we are a dealer) inspection was complete, but oil wasn't done. No communication from Gary about them not doing the oil or refusal to do such ensued. 2 days now for a state inspection. I'm super mad now because the day before I met the manager Dustin and he said we would get special attention since we have many cars to work on. That was BS. It should be known that I took the car to Sears Auto center down the street and they had no problem getting the plug off or doing the oil change and Id be more than happy to show Firestone the paperwork...oh and it was done it 27 min exact. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE by not communicating with the customer (At all) and taking two days for a state inspection...Whats worse is, Gary started getting mad at us! For what? He started saying we needed an insurance card when he knows damn well we are a dealer and we inspect our cars at multiple locations including a civic 2 days before with no problems. Stopped by for a quick oil change this week. Got there as soon as possible because I know they close at 7 and I don't get off until 6. Got there at 6:20-25 and they refused to service my car because it was too close to closing time and basically it would have been too much trouble to do what they get paid to do, and they might have had to stay a little past 7. Being in the service industry myself, you never turn away business no matter how close it is to closing time. Ever. Its not like it was 5 minutes til or anything. The guy at the front even commented on how dissapointed I looked and asked the mechsnu. If he felt like doing it, he scrunched his face and gave a " I dont really feel like it look".
