Go to pick up and have to wait 10 minutes while the front desk guy talks with a girl telling her about how he got fired from his last job. When I check out, He tells me I owe less than what they told me when I dropped it off and it turns out they didn't do the emissions check which is what I really needed. See the attached Work Order which shows a Texas Emissions Inspection is to be done. Elijah (I believe that was his name) was incredibly kind, helpful, and personable. He went above and beyond to assist me. Unfortunately, his boss who was sitting in the back office, spent much of my waiting time yelling at him, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness as a paying customer. I waited about an hour and a half just to get one tire replaced, and it was clear the shop was understaffed. While I really appreciated Elijah and the other employees who worked on my car, I won't be returning. I ended up paying $165 for a single tire, whereas Discount Tire quoted around $60. I only came here because it was the closest option when I had a flat, but I'm grateful to Elijah for his patience and great attitude despite the situation. read more

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change for 4:30. Show up before 4:30, and get told it's an hour and a half wait because someone walked in before me...? Like...? Riddle me who someone who walks in 5 minutes before me with no appointment gets serviced before the person with the SCHEDULED appointment. "Max" who helped me at the desk, mid conversation stoped helped me to answer the phone, and instead of putting them on hold has a 10 minute conversation, while I'm standing there in the middle of him taking my information. Workers from the shop side were cussing so loud you could hear them from the waiting area. I asked for my keys back and left to go elsewhere because I was truly baffled. read more

Do NOT bring your car here. This is probably the worst Firestone store to exist. I brought my car here several times because it is conveniently located but there has never been a time where I was kept in the loop about the status of my vehicle. I had to call each time, with one time being they never even looked at my car despite the fact I had an appointment and dropped it off in the morning. What should've taken a few hours took nearly two days. The last straw was most recently where I scheduled an appointment in the late afternoon/evening to have an alignment done. I was called by Barry about two hours prior to the appointment and was told that they really don't take appointments or vehicles after 4pm because they are trying to get other cars out the door. Huh? What is the point of an appointment then? This appointment was for a Monday and he said he couldn't see it until the weekend if I wanted to bring it in the afternoon. I said forget it and I'll call another Firestone. Called up the one on NW Hwy and was told to bring the car in right then and there and was extremely nice about it. I don't understand what is going on with the Greenville location but will never bring my car there again. I'll go out of my way for a different location. read more

I paid about $2,000 for work that was done. There was other things that they listed but i opted not to do the rest. Doing so, they never mentioned that not doing all the work that was listed meant not having warranty on the work that was done. Barry Kholos (store manager) said "i did not expect you to approve any of the work so i didn't mention the warranty being voided." So he chose not to tell me that there would be no warranty because he assumed. So i was forced to pay almost 2 grand for work that was not warranteed and now it runs worse than when i dropped it off. I brought my car in bc one of the tires seemed to be wearing wrong. I purchased four tires in April 2024 and bought the full warranty. I thought this would be a simple fix. I was willing to buy a replacement tire, but expec the warranty to affect the price. The manager, Barry Kholos, and his front desk worker were incompetent. They tried to upsale us by telling us we needed several things done and he would not honor the warranty covered tire. He said it was our fault. We take the car for regular rotations and alignment checks. NEVER use this garage...they are lazy, no customer service, and don't care about their customers. read more

I came here seeing the terrible reviews but was in an emergency situation. Bad idea. I would've been better off getting my car towed. Took over a week from the time we agreed upon and cost me about $1000 from there screw up. I got it towed somewhere else and they fixed it in 2 days at half the cost Firestone was estimating. These guys aren't professionals they misdiagnosed my car 3 times. Short of damaging a vehicle, this is probably the worst service imaginable. I scheduled by calling in to get 4 new tires and a front-end alignment. When I came in they told me they wouldn't be able to get to it until the next day. I left my vehicle with them. I called twice the next day to check on the status. I was told each time they'd get it done by the end of the day and they'd call me when it was ready. I got a call 10 minutes before they locked up saying it was ready. I wasn't able to get there on such short notice, so I arrived in the morning to pick up. They'd lost the keys and paperwork, so that took 15 minutes to find. At this point, the sales rep told me I could save 10% by applying for a Firestone credit card, which I did. It took 15 minutes to get a response, and I had to talk to someone on the phone which was odd. After this, I was told I was denied which didn't make sense. I paid and left. When I got in my vehicle the tire was in the back seat instead of under the vehicle, so I went back in and asked for them to put it under the vehicle where it belongs. The sales rep said he was glad I came back in because I'd actually been approved and the person who processes their credit applications made a mistake. Since I'd already paid, I now have a Firestone credit card for no good reason... After waiting quite a while for this to be done, I expressed my frustration that I'd been in the store for 1.5 hours at this point to pick up a vehicle that already had the work done and asked how much longer it would be. At this point, they informed me they'd forgotten to do the front-end alignment... I guess if the tire hadn't been in the back seat that just wouldn't have been done at all. Everyone was polite, but this ended up taking 3 days to get done, and I ended up spending over 2 hours in total at the store. read more

I took my car in for 2 new tires, a tire pressure sensor and an oil change. I received a call from the technician Isaiah a few days later. Isaiah informed me that the control arm on my car was not assembled correctly and asked me to pay a fee to fix it. I told him I would need to see photos and a report on the issue before making a decision. Soon after, he sent me a video of a loosened bolt. I asked what problems does this typically cause and he mentioned that I would hear loud popping noises while driving the car. I drive a GMC Yukon Denali and it is a very smooth ride, I've never experienced anything that he was describing. It is clear that the technician made this problem to get more money out of me. Just for clarity on this I called my friend who is a certified master mechanic and former area manager for pep boys for 32 years. My friend recently changed the struts on my car, which is directly next to the control arm. He confirmed that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and that this would have been extremely recent or done maliciously on purpose. I can rule out that it happened recently as I've never had the popping noise Isaiah described. Moral of the story is I took my vehicle in to get some new tires and came out with a new issue that was manufactured by this location, in an effort to get more money out of me. I told them not to touch my car any more and that I'm coming to pick it up first thing in the morning. Here's the cherry on top, my company has a fleet of vehicles and a corporate account with Firestone for service. Despite being a consistent customer with many vehicles being serviced on a regular basis, it still wasn't enough. These people were fraudulent, do not trust them. I went there to get a flat tire repaired and they told me it would take 1.5 - 2 hours. My car was there for 5 hours and they said my tire was irreparable with sidewall damage. When I asked if they could show me where it was damaged they said they couldn't. I know they didn't even look at my tire because they never filled it with air to find out where the flat was. I took my tire to Discount Tire and they found the hole from running over a nail and repaired it for free. I went in for a quick maintenance and a light beam repair and they told me it would be ready by the end of the day. not only was it not ready but the car was not even touched. On November 30, 2021 my oil was changed at the Firestone on Greenville. The staff AND receipt assured me that all was good to go! 3 weeks later my car stalled. When the tow truck driver opened the hood, he showed me how the corrosion on my battery was the cause. I went back to Firestone to let them know... all the manager offered me was excuses. Collin was a new tech, batteries could corrode that bad in 3 weeks, it could have been something else, etc. The manager didn't even say as much as a "SORRY". I pointed to the sign they have hanging in the lobby - it talks about Mr. Firestone's guarantee of honesty and integrity. I went there to get an inspection for my car. The original estimate was 45 minutes, maybe a bit longer. I waited for an hour and checked in to see if it was ready, and I was told it hadn't been looked at but that he would ensure it would be done within the next hour. So I continued to wait. After another hour I checked in again only to be told the technician went to lunch and hadn't looked at my car yet. I left without getting my inspection done. If I could give negative stars for Firestone on Greenville, I would. Where do I event start? I brough my vehicle to this location simply due to location convenience. First complaint, Barry. Barry is either yelling at his staff, making inappropriate jokes to customers, or unable to locate appointments that were made directly with him. Each time I have made an appointment, it was with him on the phone. It has never actually been in the system when I have arrived for said appointment. Second complaint, I have been taken advantage of each time that I have been in. I have been told that multiple things need to be replaced until I put my husband on the phone...then all of a sudden, the repairs aren't that serious. I just got my vehicle back from a location in Prosper, where I used to live and received far superior customer service. Barry, Stephen and Joni from the Greenville location all told me that I needed an entire AC replacement, needed to pay $1400....the Prosper location told me that if I did indeed need a replacement, it would have only been $800. Turns out, I just needed the freon charged...and the Prosper location was able to see that the Greenville location didn't even check that from the invoice from Greenville. They also told me I needed to replace my battery - Prosper tested it and it is fine (Greenville replaced it last year for $300 - probably didn't even need to be replaced then!) I would HIGHLY suggest taking your car somewhere else to receive better customer service and avoid being scammed by liars and disrespectful people. read more

I bought a battery for my car in 2020 at a different Firestone location that failed within the warranty period so I had to come here to have it changed. I asked about an oil change since I was here and have always had synthetic oil previously. I opted for a regular oil this time after asking the guy if it would cause any issues and was told no. After a 2.5 hour wait, I was called up to the counter and told that I was required to do a synthetic oil change per manufacturer recommendation and that's all they were allowed to do ($80 more than original amount). I said I'll wait on that because the dealership will do it for $40 less than they charge. He said oh I'm sorry we already drained your oil out so you really don't have an option now. Clearly the store manager doesn't know his product, or used a bait and switch tactic to force me into a repair I wouldn't have had completed. I'm extremely upset and will be disputing the charge with my bank. Avoid this place if you want honest mechanics!!! read more

A rep named Steven at the Firestone location in Dallas Texas. 1430 Greenville Ave is a deceitful employee. He attempted to tell me my car needed synthetic oil , it does not. It uses standard oil. That's a recommendation for high mileage cars. But he states it as if it was a requirement, which it's not. Then I attempted to use the coupon for $29.99. He again attempted to overcharge me at $69?! I asked why and he explained it only covers the first 5 quarts. Well hello, a 2009 Honda accord can only hold 4.4 quarts, so then why charge me for oil that's not being used?! Called in to see what the wait times were for an oil change and vehicle inspection. Was told same day. Came in 30 minutes later and was told I could leave it over night or make an appointment for 2 days later. Came in 2 days later for appointment, told me can't do inspection but should be able to get oil change done, even though I had an appointment. Tried charging me $230.00 for just an oil change. Told them no shot and took it to Valvoline down the street. Oil change and inspection for $145.00 same day no appointment. Firestone was brutal from customer service to price. read more

They've tried to align my truck twice and the second time made the alignment even worse than the first. Their manager is impossible to contact, and conveniently always out when I arrive at the store, which is extremely inconvenient as apparently either only the store manager is approved to authorize refunds or the staff is untrained. The front desk gives constant excuses as to why the alignment won't be "perfect" but this is just pure incompetence. Apparently "lifetime alignment" means you'll spend your entire life in and out of there until they get it right. I couldn't NOT recommend his place enough. read more

I went in to have my tires balanced and the geniuses at this dump forgot to install/tighten the lugnuts on my two driver side tires, resulting in losing lugnuts on the freeway, brake caliper damage, and having to replace lost car parts. On November 11 I dropped my 2003 LX470 off to get some suspension work done at the Firestone Tires at 1430 Greenville (formerly Master Mechanics # 1 Inc). They told me it needed tie rods, which I approved the roughly $700 estimate. I picked up my car the next day and paid the $1100. When I drove off one of the wheels came loose and was rubbing the firewall and was completely undriveable. I limped it around the block and left it with them again. The next time a mechanic had to have cleared all the codes as when I drove off it lit up like a Christmas tree, the wheel was vibrating and at a 15 degree angle, the airbag light was on and my horn no longer worked. I took it back again and they sent it to another shop to fix. So now they are giving me this odd runaround, telling me it just needs one more part, but they will not tell me where my car is located and it's been almost a month and a half without my vehicle. I called the corporate numbers, I've called all the other firestone shops in the area all to no avail. It could just need one more part, but the fact they won't divulge where my car is located is disconcerting. Can I call the police and report it stolen? Bought my 4 tires from Firestone. With it came free tire rotation every 1,500 miles. Front desk associates are fantastic! However, scheduling service is very iffy. A couple of times, service advisor scheduled me and then when I come on appointed date, I was not in the list. There seems to be a dearth of attention to details involved. Normally, I would have exploded and threw fits with unprintable expletives but I just blamed it on the work load of the associates.
