Had too many bad experiences here. It's hit or miss; they gave us a great deal on tires, serviced both our vehicles with oil changes, and diagnosed many issues and did repairs. However, recently we set up an appointment for our van to have tires installed after our original appointment with Rose Auto Clinic was canceled. Firestone was not able to do it until a Saturday when we had made the appointment on a Tuesday. Also, we needed a safety inspection but Firestone said they were unable to do one. Rose auto clinic called us Wednesday morning and said they could install our tires and do a safety inspection all that day. I called Firestone to cancel and got a call back from Jason where he berated me for canceling so late (it was over 24 hours before our Saturday appointment). He said it would cost them $100 to send the tires they had ordered but no one told us that when we made the appointment. You don't call customers and chastise them - we won't be going back. read more

They are all over the country which is good. I went to one in Manassas Va because of a nail in my tire, there was a new guy that worked on my tire however he drove into the bay to fast and broke my coaxial on my CB and even broke the whip. It cost me $30 dollars to fix the tire, then I had to go to a CB shop and repair my CB which cost $190. I use my CB in my job so this sucked read more

Used to love em. Brought one of the cars in for oil change & brake check. Told me one of the studs was now bad and needed replacement, at $176. Was fine when I drove the car in!! Used them for 10 years; this is now the Last time I EVER bring one of our 5 cars here! I took the car from there to Merryman's, who doesn't rip people off. I looked on BBB and all F ratings for all Firestone locations - guess I now see why!!! read more

I am very big on customer service, and I was happy to experience it at Firestone. Jason is fantastic, all of them are to be honest. Jason called to give updates on the status of my car, and offered what was needed. In addition , he illustrated the issues my car had with the tools in hand. I really appreciate that. Everybody at this fir Stone location Was more than helpful they went above and beyond to fix a lug nut that had been attempted to be cut off by somebody after two days of hard-working and pounding the guys finally got it done I highly recommend this for anybody that needs a small repair or a large repair on their car very reliable they also have a credit line if you care to open a credit card with six months of no financing I give them 10 stars Cameron and Jacob were absolutely awesome all the guys there helped get a tire off that five other tow truck companies could not get off and they successively did! I'd give less stars if I could. My wife brought in our vehicle for the yearly inspection. The tech/service writer told her she passed the inspection but just barely because the brakes and rotors were bad and needed to be replaced soon. I personally change my own brakes and did so less than 8 months ago. Just because strange things happen I decided to purchase new brake pads and rotors. I removed the tire and caliper to find my brake pads looked just like the new ones I purchased. They were still like new. I feel like this place does inspections and flags things hoping people don't know what they are doing so they can rip them off. There was no need to replace my brakes or rotors. Now I wish I took pictures to show how good the pads were. I will never use this place again. Crooks. read more

Came in around 430 for a motorcycle inspection and was initially told I'd have to come back another day as all the inspectors were getting ready to leave. I explained that I'd been told last week that as long as I was in before 5, it would be ok because bike inspections were in and out, but the guy maintained I'd have to come back. Joe remembered taking to me on the phone and said he had an inspector and an open bay and that he'd make it work. Cory got the bike inspected for me super quick, and then when it rained they offered to let me keep the bike in the bay if I wasn't comfortable riding home in the rain. After my initial hesitation, the customer service more than made up for itself. As an inexperienced rider, it was great to know that these guys wanted to make sure I was safe on the road and that they were genuinely concerned, and I appreciated them working me in at the end of the day. Definitely happy with Firestone and I'll be coming back. read more

Deal with Roman - Service Advisor, DO NOT deal with JJ. This guy is rude and ignorant. I will not return to this location for service. They rotated my tires in a circular pattern and not a cross pattern as shown on their website, as the proper procedure for a 4-wheel drive. I would not have known this if my 2 other tires were not from a different manufacturer! read more

I didn't appreciate them flying through the parking lot with my car when dropping it back off too the front, aggressively driving and breaking to the front seems unsafe. Last thing I need is them hitting something or some one. I had a inspection done and they said I needed to change my rear brake pads before I could pass which is completely understandable. However they wanted to charge around 300$ for replacing the rear break pads while also adding on the rear rotors to be changed as well. The rear break rotors did not need to be changed, they did recommend I do several other maintenance items. Seeing as how they had been done a few months prior seemed pointless to me. The front staff where nice and easy to work with, but that's slightly over shadowed. read more

My mother always said, "It's not what happens to you, it's how you handle it." I was very happy with the tires I bought for my 2017 F350 Dually. My son in-law has 82,000 miles on the same tires pulling 35,000 pounds. The technician that changed my tires scratched the wheels. When I pointed this out to Jason he happily replaced the expensive aluminum rims with brand new rims. No questions asked. They stood behind their work as I wish more people would. The people at this Firestone are so helpful and friendly that I come here more and more. They found a problem with my passenger front ball joint that another shop didn't catch (even after I told the other shop something possible wrong.) Best of all, they did the inspection for free while replacing two different tires. If you want good auto service and a great price, this place is the best. read more

This is a direct complaint with Firestone employees and overall disgust in customer service at the Firestone located at 2708 Fall Hill Ave in Fredericksburg VA 22401. I had been at a nearby hospital watching my husband pass away and upon leaving realized I had a flat tire. I called the nearest Firestone location which assured me they could help me. I arrived and they took in my vehicle to simply plug the tire for an unrealistic price of over $30. However distraught from my previous week as my husband was passing away I was in no mood to argue over the price of a simple plug of a tire. Upon their inspection of the tire they informed me that they could not repair the leak because the hole was located on the sidewall of the tire and I would need to purchase a new tire for $186. This sounded completely ridiculous to me from the very beginning to the end of their lies. When I looked at the tire, the employee pointed out the hole with the leak which was nowhere near the sidewall and was located directly in the middle of the tire where a simple plug costing $5 at a local auto parts store had for sale would remedy the leak. Instead the two employees made false allegations in order to overcharge me for a new tire. My father worked on cars for 47 years and taught me quite a lot about cars so I do know what the sidewall of a tire is. The fact that these employees thought I was a woman with no knowledge of tires completely astounded me and offended me as they offered to sell me a new tire for $186. This report will also be filed with The BBB as I feel it is completely ridiculous in 2022 to try to harass a woman into spending hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. These 2 employees worked together to try and con me out of money for no reason. Then after I looked at the tire myself one employee stated "No let's just fix it" and offered to plug the tire with no charge if I completed an application for a Firestone credit card. I took my Subaru in for them to check a vibration I was getting from the right rear wheel. They keep it all day and then said the vibrations might be caused by cupped tires and recommended 4 new tires and a brake job. I picked it up in the rain and didn't get a good look at it. When I took it somewhere else the next day to get new tires they showed me that 3 of my 5 wheel studs were gone on my right rear tire! I know they were all there the week before. I called Firestone back to complain and they said 2 of the studs were already missing when they inspected it and they forgot to tell me. WTF I took it to them to inspect that wheel and they forgot to mention that 2 studs were missing! They offered to fix it but it is no way they are touching any of my cars again! I've been a loyal customer of this Firestone for the past 4 1/2 years and haven't had a problem with the service. I think JJ, Roman, Jason and the rest are very friendly and professional. They have always been straight up with me concerning any repairs on my cars and even a couple of times suggested I have repairs completed elsewhere...once concerning a converter replacement which they told me they would only be able to save me $100 vs the dealership and the other concerning a transmission replacement which they told me they would end up having to contract out anyway...so they've been pretty honest with me. I can't speak for any of the naysayers that have had a negative experience, but I for one will continue bringing my cars to JJ and his crew...they've always done right by me. read more

I asked how long getting an oil change and repairing a staple hole in one of my tires was going to be, I was told "45 minutes to an hour." I had to get to work in about 3 hours. So I was okay with the time. As I'm waiting I see the workers standing and talking and socializing. I ask about my car after an hour and they hadn't even gotten to my tire. Find a local mechanic and save tons of money. Firestone way overcharges. For example, they attempted to charge me $90 to replace the fuel filter on a Ford Taurus. I thought the guy was being humorous but he was serious. It is a $15 part that couldn't be easier to access and can be changed in less than 5 minutes. I did it myself and saved $75. One good point is they will do a thorough state inspection but will gouge you on the cost of any issues found. They will do their best to find a reason to reject your car but at least they find any potentially dangerous issues. Now my car needs new ball joints which requires replacing the entire control arm on my vehicle. They are correct but their estimate was $950. A local mechanic closer to me did it for $650. They get one star for overcharging. I am no beginner to fixing cars and don't appreciate them assuming that I'm naive. The $90 fuel filter estimate was ridiculous enough for them to lose my business permanently. Do your research before paying big corporations like Firestone to repair your vehicle. They charge maximum prices for their parts and labor. read more

Came to this Firestone for an oil change. Was able to make the appointment online (and received a small discount for doing so!) and my car was ready in about an hour as promised. Price was comparable to other places I've tried; service was friendly, and restroom was decent. Waiting area was adequate (including a few things to keep little ones entertained), but I would recommend bringing your own snack/beverage if you come in the afternoon; there was a coffee carafe there, but who knows how long it'd been sitting there by 1pm, and I didn't see any vending machines. Conveniently located within walking distance of a few fast-food places, grocery store and other shops, so on a nice day you could get a few errands done while you wait. read more

I have been going to this location for over six years and I can honestly say I've never had a more pleasant experience when it comes to vehicle maintenance of any kind. Everyone with whom I've come in contact has been ultimately courteous and professional. Their prices are very reasonable and they have saved me a great amount of time and money with their services and products. I've been in the waiting area and seen people come in who have been completely disrespectful and rude but the staff treated them with courtesy and respect. These must be the ones who leave disparaging reviews. Not happy at all. Took my son's car here to get inspected, they called to say why it wouldn't pass and I agreed to the work. I got 2 more calls after that by two different people than the first who didn't know what the previous person had told me. I confronted them about inconsistencies in what each person said and told them to reject it and I'd be in after work to speak to a manger. I then got a call back from them saying it miraculously passed inspection without doing the final very high priced work that they previously said was needed. Will never take any of my vehicles here again. They were unapologetic and when I picked it up were cold and arrogant. I'll be having a friend mechanic of mine check it to see if what they did do was really done- I don't trust them at all and feel taken advantage of. read more

Went to have my 2 rear all season tires replaced with the same tire that was already on there. They put summer tires on instead, didn't notice until I got home that there was now summer tires on the rear and all season tires on the front, a big no no... Scary that the guy who replaced them failed to notice this and/or bring it to my attention. read more

Very hit or miss. It depends on who you get. I took my passat to them a few years ago when my battery died, and they were really helpful and reasonably priced. Recently, I took my passat there for a deal on tires, but left feeling overcharged for services I didn't need. My wife's car wouldn't start and we thought it was a dead battery, but they did all these diagnostic tests she didn't need. She had to verbally tell them it's the battery, and then they finally checked it, that's what it was. The final straw was when I took my car to get inspected and they failed it because the heat wasn't working. However they couldn't find why the heat wasn't working and recommended all of these parts I didn't need. It was going to cost me $1500. So I took my car to shortys instead, and they fixed my heat for $160 and actually told me what was wrong. I don't think I will be going to Firestone anymore. read more

For the life of me I could not find the key to my wheel locks, so I came to Firestone and they were able to bust them off. This was my first time coming here, and although it was a pretty easy job, the service was on point. No complaints. Was in and out within the hour. read more

I gave a clear understanding over the phone on the services I requested to the lady. When I went into the location, I spoke with the same lady and we again went over the same details on the services I wanted and in what order. I had them check my wheel to make sure it didn't need replaced, due to damage from the interstate. Then if it was cleared I'd get new tires. Upon them telling me the wheel was OK to use, I gave them the OK to put on four new tires. After everything was finished, the same lady told me to make sure I get a new wheel as soon as I can because it's not in good shape. I was furious, after spending $500 they put new tires on a bad wheel. It is bent and will begin to damage the new tire. They offered to wave the cost of installation when I go get a new wheel, I asked how much a wheel would cost to purchase through them and they said it's more expensive than going elsewhere. They wouldn't even give me the cost after I asked them multiple times. I will not be going back to this location. read more
