DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could give zero stars. I dropped my vehicle off for four new tires, alignment, and oil change. Paid 1k for services. I drove 13 miles and my wheel flew off on the freeway and ended up totaling the truck. I had the vehicle towed to Firestone and asked them to fix the vehicle. I didn't want money, I wasn't mad. I just wanted my vehicle fixed. One manager accepted responsibility, and even stated that the mechanic who worked on my truck (Anthony, their "master mechanic" ) has been having problems lately and they will take care of it. I got a call a few hours later, from someone else saying it's not their fault, and good luck. They have ignored and blocked my insurance company from contacting them, they have ignored a demand for repair and payment, and I do not recommend this shop or company to ANYONE. Now the legal battle ensues to hold a company liable for damages they caused due to negligence.

Tire paste all over my rim after tire replacement

If I could give 0 stars I would. Their work and costumer service is the worst I've seen. They're in the business of telling you what you want to hear. Went in to fix a tire that kept losing air and decided to go ahead and have an alignment done and a tire rotation while I was their. They did all of those things and then when I drove my car it's beyond shaky. I took it back and they rotated them again and re did the alignment and still terrible. Went back again and always get told "we had to make a lot of adjustments so it should be good to go". Went back another time and had them replace two tires that were due to be changed anyway and thought it would help. Well not only did it not help but they failed to even put both tires at the same weight and left tire paste all over my rims and no caps on my valve stems. And on top of that the alignment they redid once again and the bumpiness continues to get worse. Do not go here! I've gone 4 times in the last 3 weeks. I should not have continued to go back but $700 is a lot of money to be out so I kept going back for them to fix it. I am now out my money since they have been unable to even do any of the work right!

    They classify this as sidewall.

My sister has been their customer for several years and has always spoken highly of them, so I decided to give them a try. Jenny Bastanchury was my service advisor and provided excellent service at every step. The car arrived shifting hard and shuddering at low speeds. Litchfield Auto Repair's mechanics quickly discovered what the large chain shop missed. A damaged transmission bracket was causing excess vibration and had been destroying my motor and transmission mounts. There were also other issues that needed attention, and the team walked me through each one clearly. Litchfield Auto Repair diagnosed excessive engine movement and rebuilt the entire engine and transmission mount set-up using modified brackets because original parts for a 2000 Cavalier are no longer available. They replaced the left front CV axle, installed a new air conditioning compressor, performed a complete R134a evacuate and recharge service, and coordinated a full transmission rebuild. Per my request, Jenny tried to source new old stock parts for the job, but in some cases, they were not available. After all the work was completed, the Cavalier drove smoother and stronger than it has in years. Their pricing was fair, their communication was clear, and the quality of their work was outstanding. Jenny and her mechanics really listened to my input and provided superior service compared with what I had experienced at other shops over the last 12 years. Although Litchfield Auto Repair is a little out of my way, I will drive the extra miles to get auto repairs I can fully trust. Please give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

As I waited in their lobby, the oil and the belt were replaced in just over two hours. The money I paid was well worth it, as I felt satisfied and secure in my vehicle after it left the shop. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard the owners speaking with another customer. They offered to assist the other customer when they didn't have to. They were willing to go above and beyond on their own time to help the community. When you come here, you're not just a customer or a number; you become Family, and I like to see that.

Our Nissan rogue flashed a warning that there was no oil in the car and to pull over immediately. Which we did. We were confused because there didn't seem to be any oil leaks, and the oil plug looked like it was still in place. (my husband neglected to tell me he stopped checking the fluid levels monthly.) As our previous auto mechanic closed his shop, we hadn't had a chance to find a new one. So we looked on yelp and noticed clutch auto was only a few miles away although they seemed fairly new. They had only a couple reviews, but they were positive. So I decided to give them a try and called them and made an appointment for the same day and had the car towed to them. They did a full inspection and did not see anything wrong with the oil other than it needed it. They suggested an oil change however their inspection showed that there was some work that needed to be done on the suspension I requested photos however they had already taken them, which really impressed me seconds later they sent me a full report, including photos showing what needed to be repaired and why. By the end of the day, all the work was done. And I picked it up the next morning. I'm really impressed that they did NOT try to say other work needed to be done, as most other places would. Instead they were honest and explain that they would consider the suspension was in the yellow zone needing to be done soon, but could be put off a little bit if necessary. The cost for a full synthetic oil change was much less than five minute oil, However, I asked if they had a senior citizen discount they did not however they did have a 10% off first time customer discount, which brought the full job (oil change/suspension work) significantly in price.

I was verbally told that metal shavings were present inside the rear differential and that the entire differential assembly needed replacement. I was quoted approximately $3,600 for the repair. When I requested written clarification regarding how this diagnosis was made, including whether the differential was drained or opened, the condition of the fluid, whether photos were taken, and what specific testing procedures were used, no documentation was provided to support the claim. I then obtained a second opinion from another licensed mechanic. The vehicle was properly lifted, road tested, and inspected, and the rear differential was not identified as the source of the issue. The concern was resolved without replacing the differential. My mechanic also contacted this shop directly to ask about the basis for their diagnosis and did not receive any clear explanation. It is not possible to visually confirm internal metal shavings inside a sealed differential without draining the fluid or opening the case. No such procedure was documented on my repair order. Based on my experience, this did not feel like a transparent or customer focused shop. I strongly encourage customers to request written proof and seek a second opinion before authorizing major repairs.

Repair worked great and it was easy, I even financed a portion of the bill with easy pay. HOWEVER, just when I thought I had found a company that was easy and trustworthy that quickly changed. In March I had to return...our vehicle started to die off when we would add gas or cold start. So we decided to bring it back after our initial visit. The service advisor Jay was polite, responsive and friendly. After the next few hours I got the call that it was a code P2188 - EVAP purge valve and it needed to be replaced because it no longer functioned and was stuck in place. They also told us we needed an oil change based on the sticker in the car even though it was old. We had an oil change not even more than two/three months prior but they even took a photo of the sticker and sent it to me. They were sure to mention that this was all they found but it may not fix the problem. We ended up doing this, $800 later and still not fixed. This did not work. The very next morning we brought it back. They proceeded to check their work on the new part and then tried to recreate the problem for a new diagnosis. Then we get the call, it's the fuel pump and the oil. They wanted $800 for the fuel pump and around $200 for the premium oil change both were recommended. There was other fees of course but they deactivate the quotes after your service so you can't see them. I was not happy that I had to spend more money after the first time, BUT now I just felt they were pulling my chain. I was asking so many questions and they changed their story, called me multiple times asking about the same things I explained. It just felt scammy. The industry has a pretty bad rap for being a scam and overly aggressive pricing and sales and this is what I experienced. Needless to say after paying the $200 inspection fee and the $800 valve, I didn't trust them to do the end job. I bought the fuel pump for $200 at autozone and fixed it myself, and it worked. I will NEVER use Christian Brothers again. Also, if you are the owner/manager, please don't comment on this post the same copy/paste response you do to everyone else. We took our Jeep there a few weeks ago and had a bad experience but the manager made it right so we thought we'd try again. HUGE mistake. My wife's Jeep is a manual with the basic cable hand brake, and one of the cables that applies the brake apparently broke. Not a difficult repair, but I don't have the time, so we thought we'd have them change it along with an oil change. Dropped the Jeep off and we're told that it'd be $180 diagnostic fee just to LOOK at it! And this is ON TOP of the repair cost!! I've never heard anything like this! Any other shop only charges a diagnostic if you opt out of the repairs. These people want to have their cake and eat it too - and my cake too! Stick a fork in me, I'm done with this place. They actually charge more than the dealership! Heck the last time they charged me half that to actually do a road test. Still couldn't figure out what was wrong but they charged me $90 anyway. In all fairness, the manager refunded this after I complained, but if I hadn't complained we'd have paid them to take the Jeep for a ride and still not figure out what was wrong. Now they want $180 just to LOOK at 3 cables to see which one needed replaced? And I'm supposed to pay more on top of the "diagnostic fee"? These people have lost their minds. At the end of the day, you're paying ABOVE premium prices for mediocre work at best. Don't say you weren't warned.

On my last visit I had the spark plug cables replaced on my Jeep. When I picked it up it immediately began to misfire, but since it was closing time on a Friday just before a holiday weekend, I had no choice but to drive it home. After less than a mile it began missing became so severe that feared I wasn't going to make it. When I was able to get another appointment a week later, I was told I needed to replace the spark plugs even though I had no indication of that before the cable replacement. When asking how the tech had missed the significant misfires during his test drive after installing the cables, I got more than a bit of attitude from the staff. Attempting to ascertain why a vehicle displayed more problems after a repairs than before was a reasonable question from a loyal customer, but their unwillingness to provide an answer ultimately led me to seek another auto shop. This was disappointing. Daniel's is conveniently located and my experiences there in previous years had been good. Although many tire shops came up in my search, one company stood out to me -- that wasn't even a dedicated tire shop. It was Wilhelm Automotive. The reason they stood out to me was because of the glowing reviews from customers, like myself, who have limited knowledge surrounding auto-repair needs... or knowing who to trust! (Especially for those of us who tend to feel intimidated by auto-repair shops that have been dishonest, are all about 'up-selling' services & parts you don't actually need and/or those who are 'shady' at best. I was also surprised to see an auto repair shop that came up on a tire shop search. But right at the top of their reviews, there was a review surrounding Wilhelm providing excellent service that involved tires/tire fixes and replacement. After filling the tire up with air, I noticed a nail with a slow leak, and since they were so close, I drove out their way. I just have to say that deciding to go to Wilhelm Automotive when I was having an issue with my tire was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only did they fix my flat tire, they also looked at and fixed another tire that I had been having issues with. No shop in Los Angeles would fix it for me, insisting that I needed to purchase a brand new tire (which actually meant buying two new tires because of the all-wheel drive situation on my 2015 Subaru Outback). Even from the exact tire shop that I had originally ~ and recently~ bought 4 brand new tires from!!! Wilhelm Automotive fixed both tires no problem and with none of the issues I was repeatedly told there would be, by multiple shops I had asked to. (I was a bit shocked, and when I asked how they ended up fixing it... with a patch or plug? I was told that they did a combination of both to ensure that the tire is solidly and permanently fixed, is completely safe and 'as good as new')!! They also had my passenger side windshield wiper blade in stock (that I had asked about as well) and replaced it for me after fixing my tires. When I went up to the counter to pay my bill after my car was brought out for me (only 40 mins later, I was told 'you're good to go! we're good! just please consider using us for any other car repairs that might come up')! I could t believe it!! I was in total shock... they wouldn't even let me pay for the wiper blade and I pretty much had to force them to, at very least, take a tip from me!!! I was ~delightfully~ in shock the rest of the day. I have made my folks (& their friends & neighbors) promise me to ONLY go to Wilhelm Auto from here on out!! I'm sorry to report that this review is {finally} here ~ so long after-the-fact, but life as a hard-working single Mom has a way of coming in between such things. But exceptional, honest, professional and CARING service is never out of fashion -- nor is a review for it!! ********************************** It's incredibly rare to find an auto repair shop these days that encompasses all of these and more!!
