Amazing how shady a business can be. Approximately 1.5 years ago our Chevy Malibu with 60k miles and never any problems we brought to Firestone for overheating. That was the beginning of everything wrong. After numerous times of them "fixing" the problems they finally replaced the engine once the oil ran into the coolant. Guess what!! Do not bring your vehicle to this shop. They took 4 weeks to do a 2 week job. I'm a small business and need my truck for my work. Needed the head gasket replaced and thought that I should have it done by what I thought was a reputable company. That was WRONG. They said it was a 36 hour job and would take 2 weeks to complete because of the jobs that where in front of my truck. I agreed and asked them to replace the spark plugs and wires, timing chain and a couple of other small things wile they had it apart. After the two weeks where up I called them and asked for an update and the said my heads where at a 3rd party company getting surfaced and should be back and I will have my truck in 2 days. 2 days turned in to 2 weeks. At one point the customer service girl Maraitza hung up on me when I asked for john the shop manager. And Fill the service manager told me that I should have more vehicles and if he was I, he would take my wife's brand new car and put plastic down and use it as my work truck. Customer service was great getting you in the door but after that Your just $$ to them.they offered me a rental truck on week but there where none available. And on top of all of that their corporate office says they have 48 business hours to contact you. It's been over a week and no one has called. All in all this job cost my family just over $6000 with parts labor and loss of work. I'm sure Firestone doesn't treat Amazon like this. read more

I'd give this place minus stars if I could, but as the case 1 star. I brought my car in on a Friday for a tire check as the tire light went on in my car. They checked it appropriately and told me there was a nail in my rear driver side tire. I went into the lobby and this is where I find myself never coming back again. First of all, amidst all this COVID ordeal, none of the attendants were wearing masks nor did I see any signs of trying to maintain the appropriate social distancing guidelines and suggestions. Second of all, there was one person ahead of me being attended to by a clerk. The other two (a man and a woman) were idly standing by the register eating and it took me probably about 2 minutes to be seen. I get that things get busy but things could have been handled better. I was hoping to be squeezed in for a quick tire repair but they could not accommodate till Monday. I ended up taking my car the next day to a place that did FREE tire/flat repairs. Thanks. I had two tires that had nails in them, clearly in the tread, clearly enough tread left to plug the tires. They told me that there wasn't enough tread to plug the tires, so I took my vehicle to a local competitor and they told me that was no problem plugging the tires and that there was plenty of tread left, so clearly the people at firestone lied to me probably to get me to buy two or more new tires! This place was great when it was Fletcher's, but now a total disappointment. Those who work in the front are condescending and rude. Made an appointment a day prior and when I arrived found out that they were backed up due to a technician calling out they couldn't get my vehicle in to diagnose the issue. Don't recommend this place made an appointment to an alignment done. Dropped of the car was told to come back at closing. Came back 3 hours later notice the car still parked in the same location the car hadn't been touched. Was told to wait they could do it really quick. I don't think so. read more

I stopped by today for an inquiry on my overheating issue after talking to another shop down the street which felt like a little more pushy for money. Just talking to the new manager and being that he wasn't even asking for a cent for the time he spent going over head gasket repairs and quotes made me comfortable in the store. I didn't know Firestone did anyrhing more than tires and oil changes, but it's most all services. I usually don't do reviews but I've been ripped off by multiple shops and still no warranty on repair. The pricing is higher than the other shop but I'm willing to do it here and get it done right. You get what you pay for. If the manager in the blue shirt is there (wish I got his name) I'll be doing the repair here. read more

I, like many others, have gone to Firestone for my oil changes and tires for many years. Had a bad experience at the one on Pebble Creek and McDowell 2 months ago. Long wait time after making an appointment a week prior. Watched the young techs on their phones, talking to each other, dancing and touching my truck now and then. After waiting 5 plus hours, they parked my truck in furthest spot on the lot. I waited about 15 minutes for someone to tell me my truck was done. I am pretty sure I paid for a tire rotation, however, never saw the young man switch my tires around. I should have argued about that, however, I was beat after the long wait and just wanted to get out of there. I went to the Firestone on Van Buren and Estrella today after making an appointment a week before. Thought I would try a different store. 11am appt, dropped truck off at 9:30, called at 3:30 because I had not heard from anyone. Young lady told me my truck was next to go in the bay. I decided to head there at 4:30. My truck was in the same spot and had not been touched. I went in and a young lady said she understood my frustration. I finally got my keys at 6:15. Got to find a different vehicle repair shop. What happened to Firestone? Please don't blame the pandemic. Oil change, tire rotation and brake check? All day long? read more

Have had several problems, but now I'm done! Last incident was 08/07/17. Paid for Full synthetic oil, filter, and tire rotation. I marked both back tires with a silver sharpie as I know these guys have not rotated my tires in the past and I was suspicious. When they finished this is what I found. The tires facing the shop glass side door had been rotated. The drivers side ( facing away from the customer view ) had not been touched. DO NOT USE THIS STORE'! Brought my car here a week ago for an oil change and tire repair for a slow leak..... a couple days go by & my tire is losing air again. I call them to bring it back in and they say that's fine. They even say that someone messed up last time and need to redo it. I'm sitting here for over and hour and they have not updated me or said anything and they are just NOW an hour and 25 minutes later looking at my car. No heads up for any sort of weight time. I'm not coming back here I'd rather go to discount tire definitely for any future services, they are way better at communication and efficiency. read more

Wow, I would highly recommend this Firestone! We went in thinking it was still a part of Fletchers but thank God it's not. Now it's a totally new owner and with an AWESOME MGR named John. We went in and John was very honest and very helpful with our issues. We had purchased 4 tires for one of our cars and 2 for our other car and he spoke to us with all honesty and very positive of his work. He goes all out of his way to get what you need. I am typically not a review person, but these thieves hit a nerve. I needed rear brakes done on my truck, so I called this firestone store. There initial price was $149 to change the shoes. After their inspection the price was over $800. It is friggin' impossible to spend that much on rear brakes. I have been in the used car business for 35 years and I have never been so insulted. The parts were less than $160, and they would buy them cheaper with a master installer discount, plus 20+%markup would be $200. Labor at an hour per wheel would be, at their rate of $105 would be $210 for a total of $410, which is a crazy amount. They wanted to charge double that. Be extra careful of these thieves!! Worst experience ever. I dropped my car off at 10am for an oil change and inspection. I call at 12 and they say they are waiting for a part and to be there by 350 (they close at 4). At 420ish we are still sitting there waiting for the part. Once it finally arrives its the wrong part. So we have to wait longer. Finally once they put the part in (filter) i leave. After driving 5 minutes on the I10 my blast shield (under carriage) starts dragging on the ground. I call them (luckily they picked up because it was way after closing time) he said if i can get the car there they will fix it. So I'm driving back 2mph for 3 miles to get to the shop. They said they forgot to screw in the blast shield. Finally my car is fixed and i go home. There is significant damage to my undercarriage. It's a newish car (2014 Audi S4) and I want Firestone to replace the damaged piece. Worst experience ever. Don't recommend. read more

I was in desperate need of an oil change as I pushed it out longer than I should have, and so I picked this shop as it was closest to home. I was taken care of by John and he had made sure all of my vehicles fluid levels were ok and I didn't have to wait as long as I had thought. I'm definitely coming back as it's closer than my usual guy and so this will be my home shop from now on. Thanks John! read more

This place doesn't deserve any stars. I took my 2017 Honda Civic in for an oil change. Every thing seemed fine until I left . As I was driving down the road, I kept hearing a weird noise. I thought maybe it was the road, or something on the road. I got home and parked my car. I haven't been driving it as much since covid19 started. A few days later my husband and I decided to take a drive. As we're driving we keep hearing this noise. Finally we stopped, and my husband got out to investigate what the noise may be. He discovered that the skid plate under the front of the car was hanging down. I was totally freaking out at this point. I didn't know whether to drive it or have it towed. We were so far out of town. We decided to take it easy and drive it home. The next day I called this location, and they told me to bring my car back and they would remove the skid plate and order a new one. So I took my car in, they removed the part and I was on my way, thinking that they were taking care of the issue. I finally called them after I had waited 5 or more weeks. They said the part was in, and said that they had called to let me know it was in. I received no calls from them. I had put their number into my phone, so I would have known if they had called. So I took my car in to have them do the repair. They told me that the bolts that hold the skid plate on fail a lot. And that's what happened with my car. They replaced the skid plate, and I was on my way home. I thought this was going to be a good experience, until I went slowly over the speed bump down the street from my house, and the car scraped. I thought, what the hell. I had to drive the car the next day, and every time I went over even the smallest bumps in the road, the car scraped. I got home and I told my husband what was happening. He looked under the car, and sure enough, the skid plate was bowed down and dented. I took the car back to them yesterday. I had one of them come out to my car and look underneath. He didn't seem to think there were a problem. I told him to look again, and take a real good look at the skid plate. He acknowledged that the skid plate was bad. We had a few words. I told him that I wanted to talk to the manager. He said that he wasn't there. I ask him to call him. He told me that he wasn't going to do that because he never answers his phone. He told me that I had to talk to the manager on duty. I said ok, let's do that. I walk back in to find this little girl that he is referring to as the manager. I took my phone out and showed her a picture of the skid plate. She was very rude. Told me that it was my fault that it was damaged. I told her that it was either not put on correctly, or that it was the wrong part. Then I asked her if they even ordered a new part, or if they just put the old back on. She insisted that they had ordered a new one. So again I said that they put the part on incorrectly. She told me that service techs would never do that, and continued to insist that I drove my car recklessly and I had done the damage myself. I asked her if they were going to take care of this issue, insisting that this was not my doing. She told me no. I asked her if I needed to contact an attorney. She put both hands in the air and backed up like I had a weapon or something. She told me that since I said attorney, that she was not doing anything for me at all, and that I needed to leave. So I just mention attorney and all of the sudden I have to leave. I said, are you kidding me. She told me to get out. I came home and told my husband what had just transpired. He called and spoke to her on speakerphone. She was extremely rude to him as well. Then she lied about what had happened. Then she told him that the damage to the car was my fault. I'm a very careful driver, and my husband knows that. He was livid. He told her that we may indeed contact an attorney because of her attitude towards both of us. I will not only never go back to this location again. I will never do business with any other of their locations. I'm taking my car to Honda to get an estimate for repair. I will be sending a formal complaint to their corporate office and to the better business bureau. If they had told me when I took the car in the first time for a simple oil change that the bolts that hold the skid plate on were bad, I would have had them remove it then, and order new bolts. I would have paid them to do the job. And none of this crap would be happening now. Don't use this place. It's not worth the headache. read more

I made an appointment a couple days ago and when I arrived the car was taken back to the shop within 10 minutes of arrival. So far so good. I asked for an oil change and check the alignment. About 40 minutes later, I was shown the printout for the alignment but noticed the specs were for my previous car which was 10 years older than the current one in their shop. I pointed it out to John who admitted it was wrong so back on the rack. OK, I get it, it happens although you can't really mistake my 10 year newer car for the old one or not see the bold year, make and model on the printout. About 40 minutes later, I'm told the alignment is fine and the oil change is done. I talk to John briefly after I noticed I was charged for 7 quarts of oil but the car requires 9.3 quarts. He then searches the internet on his cell phone and agrees that it takes 9.3 quarts. Back to the lift again and John then tells me he checked the oil and the dipstick was showing it was overfilled so they have to drain it again and refill. I ask why this wasn't checked prior to giving the car back to me and he said it should have. Ugh! I then notice the car is lifted and the lift arms are pressed up against the factory side skirts on the car. I told the guy working on the car who didn't say anything that the side skirts are plastic and not meant to be weight bearing. I then tell John what I saw and hope that there is no damage to them which we wouldn't know until the car is off the lift. After a while longer, I ask John if he knows the car has 2 oil drain plugs and he said he knows now. After 3 hours the car is finally done. John shows me the car and fortunately no damage to the side skirts. He then says he's refunding the oil change price back to my credit card. I was hoping this was what would happen. For some unknown reason the rear hatch to the car was opened and the hard shade cover that I store back there was moved and crunched between the seats and the rear hatch window. Not damaged but how do you not notice that? Maritza then starts to refund my payment but it's not for the full price. I mention it and she refunds the full amount and I leave without even a sorry from her. I get home and park the car in the driveway and now there's a small puddle of oil under the car. Hopefully this is just from a small spill they had and failed to clean up. My last oil change there about a year ago went fine, but this time they really exhibited some super sloppy work. Their only job was an oil change and it turned into a 3 hour ordeal. It's really not that hard. I would have given a 1 star rating but John authorized the refund without me asking. I understand mistakes happen but this was too much for me to chalk up to 1 little mistake. The techs obviously don't take pride in their work or pay attention to customer's cars. With so many shops in the area, I will go somewhere else next time. It will be a while before I return here. Obviously everyone I dealt with needs some more training. Very disappointing. read more

This location doesn't even deserve a one star rating it should more be a negative star rating after my recent experience with them. I had brought my car to this location to get the front brake pads replaced as well as an oil change and was dealing with a representative by the name of TONY while I was there. I had dropped the car off at my scheduled appointment time and asked them to call me so I didn't have to sit and wait there since I live near by. Over 2 hours later I get a call from TONY who tells me that I need all 4 brake pads, plus rotors, AND my master cylinder replaced and it was going to be over $1400.00 to fix. Also that I would need to leave my car there since they needed to order the master cylinder and it would take 2 days to come in. When I said I couldn't leave my car since I needed to be able to get to work in the east valley the next day he preceded to tell me that my car wasn't even safe enough to drive down the street in it's condition, and I quote "they have these things called Uber"!! I told him I would need to think about it cause it was a lot of money. I later called him back after speaking with some people who were a little confused as to why I would need a master cylinder on a 2012 when they had vehicle's over 20 years old and never changed them. I called TONY back and said I was going to be back to pick up my keys, and asked if they had started any work at all he told me no and gave me attitude for wanting to pickup my keys. When I got there he told me they needed a few min to put it back together again and told me I owed $68.00 for the oil change. I paid since I had requested that service. The next day I brought my car into the dealership since I had a recall on the wipers I needed to get fixed and had already had that appointment prior to this. While at the dealership I asked them to check my brakes and give me an estimate on the cost for any repairs. I DID NOT mention anything that I was told by TONY since I wanted a second opinion and to see if they would match. The dealership told me that ONLY the break pads needed replacing. I asked them about the rotors and master cylinder and they told me that they were COMPLETELY fine and with the age and low miles that the master cylinder was FAR from needing to be replaced!!! This location was trying to scam me out of over $1000.00 in unneeded repairs!! The icing on the cake was when the dealership asked me if I wanted a oil change as well since the oils was low and looked like it was old!!! So this location and TONY did scam me....I mean STOLE $68.00 from me for an oil change they said they completed but had actually NEVER completed!!! They are CROOKS AND SCAMMERS and I would tell EVERYONE they should stay away!! I would not even go back to this location or let TONY touch my vehicle again even if I broke down right at their doorstep!!
