Called and was told to come in immediately to get my car looked at for insurance purposes after I was in an accident. I explained the story over the phone. I arrive and they then told me that they don't do anything where they'd have to confirm if my car is deemed drivable for insurance purposes. What?! Gave this place another try because I needed an oil change. Oil change was fine then they charged me 45 bucks in labor to replace a headlight. I booked my oil change online so it came with a survey. I told them the below on the survey they issued a particular refund ( adjusting the overcharge) and blamed it on a computer error that they say they cannot actually change which means all owners will be charged 45 for lightbulb changes even though it's a 2 min job!! Just be mindful that will try to bill you 30 mins for labor for 2 mins unless you say something. Also the bulb didn't work so they had to replace it again before I pulled out of the lot. Greedy and unfair. Asked them to replace front brake pads and rotors. After the inspection (an hour instead of 30 min as was promised) I was told about the necessity to exchange brake fluid and replace 2 studs and air filter. It was funny, cause I had replaced the air filter 2 weeks earlier. I decided to drive to another auto service. After the 2nd inspection it's appeared there was no need to change brake fluid, and only one stud had to be replaced. As a result, paid 180 dollars less. read more

This place operates heavily on scaring you into spending more than you need to. They warned me about an oil leak and instead of simply offering to repair it, they said they'd have to do a 100 dollar engine wash to properly diagnose it before any work, then another 300 for the repair. I went to Hadley Auto express, had it handled for 150. Don't waste your time here. They are polite, about stealing your money. read more

I typically come here for my state inspections, so that's the only service that I can comment on, but every time I've come in the staff has been very kind. This is a complete 180 from the staff in Northampton that has just a super rude staff. My inspections have never been an issue and I would rather drive the extra few miles so that I can deal with kinder people. read more

I got a flat tire in front of the shop on my way to cash my check and I had a spare and a jack but asked the service people if I coukd please use the tool to get the tire on, mind you im a single mother with 2 small kids and didnt have AAA and had no money, they outright refused. I had to wait for a good Samaritan to help me. I then asked if they could give me a quote for that single tire and they told me they could only sell 4, not 1... for them not to help someone in need like u was just tells me these people care more about making money than offering any kind of service. Firestone has been good to me thus far. They were able to identify the cause of a loud noise in my front end, sway arm links, which I was able to buy from a third party and replace myself. Since then, I've been getting my regular oil changes from Firestone, Hadley and have had no complaints. The location is a close walk to the mall as well as a few restaurants so I'm never left waiting. read more

Life with an older model car can be stressful, but this Firestone makes it so much easier to deal with car issues! The service people are super nice, explain stuff accurately, and then they get to work right away on the car! They are super efficient and truly are so respectful of time frame to do service. I had this guy named Shaq, who was soooo helpful and super gracious and polite; after an incredibly stressful day to have to go get a new battery was a pain, but Shaq was awesome to work with, and I was in and out in like 20 minutes. The other service rep who was handling other customers, also chimed in with just pleasant conversation which was calming! I mean these guys were seriously caring! I am grateful they are around, and highly recommend them. They obviously are well trained and probably have a great manager. read more

I've been to Firestone for an oil change twice and to get my car inspected for MA registration. They changed the oil just fine. During the inspection they noticed a leak in one of my gaskets which they quoted me $750+. Opted to not go through with the repair and instead took my car to College Street Motors in Amherst where they were able to complete the repair for less than half of what Firestone quoted me. I would not recommend going to Firestone for anything else other than a routine oil change. read more

They were decent when I got my oil changed today. I was in and out, free wifi and bad TV shows in the waiting room. They do need more chairs, since I was stuck standing for about 10 minutes, that was mildly awkward. The mechanics were nice enough. They didn't try to sell me anything, which is always a +1 in my book (though I can definitely see them doing that had I come in for more substantial repairs). Bottom line: I'd stick to my mechanic for repairs since can give me a better deal, but for small things like an oil change, it's convenient and easy, so I'd definitely go there again. read more

My husband went in for an oil change and got pushed into new struts for $600! Now we find out from out regular repair man that our car probably didn't need them and the noise we're hearing is because they probably didn't put them in correctly! When he went back to ask that they take a look, they wanted $2-300 MORE because now he need 'strut mounts'. Where does it end with this group? Great place for friendly honest service, knowledgeable advice, and reasonably priced tires. Really this store is as good as a tire and service shop can be. They have taken great care of me after the sale with rotations, and flat repair. Plus you don't leave this place smelling like tires as opposed to the "discount tire" places. read more

So I go in to buy four snow tires for a Subaru. They sell me the tires (for a reasonable price, to be fair), but they refuse to install them because they are not exactly the same size as the factory ones. They have a very strange belief that doing so would damage the 4wd system. This is completely untrue. These types of 4wd systems only care that all four tires are the same size, they don't care what that size is. Afterwards I spent some time calling tire installers in several states, and they all agreed that this is completely untrue. So I have to drive home, put my summer tires on, drive back to Firestone with my winter wheels stuffed in the car so they can install the tires on the wheels without actually installing them on the car. I pick up my mounted snow tires and go home to install them. Then I find that these automotive geniuses installed one of the tires the wrong way round. The tires are directional and they mounted 3 clockwise and 1 counterclockwise. And 2 of the tires are missing valve caps. Now I have to drive back there for the 3rd time so they can hopefully remount the tire. I can understand a mistake, but they screwed up in 3 different ways, wasting hours of my time. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. read more

These people are complete scum bags. Pointed out I needed new tires because the tread design was bad and not because they were down to the wear mark. Had me sign for the bill before printing out an itemized list. Put the bill in my partners name because they said only one name per address. Stole the anodized aluminum valve caps with the excuse that they always put on rubber ones because of oxidation. The valve caps were new. After 3 months my oil light came on because the oil was low. Makes me wonder if the even did an oil change. Stay far away from this place. Shame on AAA for recommending them. read more

Went in for a car inspection. Was quick but had a rear brake bulb out. The guy wrongfully told me that they could reject it but I would have to pay the $35 again when I brought it back. So I paid $18 for a new bulb. They failed to tell me that it was a $3 bulb and they were charging me $15 in labor which I didn't find out until I looked at the paperwork at home. This job takes less than 2 minutes and any auto parts store would do it for free. Nice job taking advantage of young college students. Absolute unethical behavior for a sale. read more

I had a new starter and battery installed as well as an oil change. I was consulted before work was done, price quotes given and very happy with the overall experience. I was not pressured for add on services and was amazed at how reasonable the labor fees were in comparison to other shops. I am already planning my next appointment for brake pads. read more

FRAUD ALERT. I went to Firestone to have my snow tires changed. When I returned, they told me my brakes needed an immediate $967.05 repair (they put this in writing). Both the rep and a mechanic came out to speak with me. They told me my brakes were "completely rusted out," and that the right rear brake was not gripping at all. They said it was not safe to drive, and I should have the work done immediately. Instead I took the car to my local Ford dealer (the car is a 2013 C-Max), They did a thorough inspection and told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with the brakes: no rust, no malfunction, and there is at least 50% wear remaining. I have been a customer of this Firestone store for many years. However, this action was clearly fraudulent, and I will not return. I phoned the Firestone manager to inform him of the problem. read more

They charged us $750 to fix an electronic issue over the summer, but it was not resolved. When we brought it back because it had not been fixed, they actually asked us what we would suggest they should do to fix it. My boyfriend ended up figuring it out on his own, and we never saw any sort of refund. At least the staff was friendly. read more

Don't come here! I've been to this Firestone twice, once when I had a flat tire and another time when I needed an oil change. I had a flat tire and just needed them to put on the spare tire. They told me that they couldn't do that because the wheel on the spare tire was too rusty, but they could give me 4 new tires for almost $900!! I told them no and to put the spare tire onto the wheel of the flat tire. After some warnings that this could be a bad idea they did it and charged me $50. Sadly, I thought my second experience with them would be better (it was worse). I went in for an oil change and they told me I had a leak in my coolant and they could do a pressure test to see where the leak is. Again, I did the wrong thing and said ok. So they come back telling me I have a major leak in my coolant system and that they'll call me tomorrow to price it out. I said ok (knowing damn well I wasn't coming back because my car is fine) and left. Then, when I start my car the fans are EXTREMELY loud and clearly something is wrong. I went inside to see what they did to make my car sound like that and all 3 of the men I talked to told me my car sounded like that when they drove it into the shop. I've had this car for 5 years (2012 model) and it has NEVER made this sound, nor have I ever had an issue with the coolant system. I'm currently at another auto body shop to see if they intentionally tampered with the coolant system and to see if it'd be a quick fix, but the likelihood that an issue with my car arose only when the mechanic drove my car into the shop is extremely low. I took my Dodge Neon here on May 3, 2014 for a flat repair and state inspection. They managed to fix the flat successfully but on the drive home my car started to smell like coolant and white steam was coming out from under the hood. When I got home I popped the hood and saw that the radiator cap had been unscrewed and was simple resting on the upper radiator hose port. I have no idea why the cap would be removed during a state inspection...nothing on the inspection report calls for that. I inspected the cap and nothing was wrong with it, but about a gallon of coolant had sprayed out during the drive home so I had to refill it. If it had failed on it's own it should have gone flying off since the system is pressurized when hot, not been sitting there unscrewed. I've had the car for 10 years and that cap is normally on there pretty tight. It's also never come off before, leading me to believe my car was sabotaged in hopes that I'd go back for a "repair". Past experience with these guys tells me that screwing the cap back on would have been a very expensive "repair". Needless to say I am NEVER going back here again for ANYTHING.
