I had to wait til today Monday since it wasn't done properly on Saturday to get my tire fixed properly. I changed my mind and went to Economical Tires in Elgin just a few miles away from my home. I explained to them what happened and took me right in and fixed my tire properly. I'm very disappointed in Firestone to say the least. I think they rushed my repair and it just made a bad day, worse. read more

Never take your car over to the place. poor service, don't know what they are doing. Took my car to get new spark plug. they charged me for all six of them and only a couple were changed. But when I called to let them know I was told well we will have to change you for the labor again like dude seriously? $342 for two hours to change spark plug? If it takes two hours to change spark plugs should immediately tell you something is fishy. read more

I wen't in to get a flat fixed for tires I bought within 90days. I was told by they could not take any customers because they had alot of customers drop cars off(no rush) and I would have to wait a hour plus. No one was in the waiting room. It was 730 am. Flats take a half hour. I bought $2,500 in tires and warranties the last 18 months for multiple cars and also a lifetime alignment for additional money. The other two stores in the area were contacted-- one in person the other by phone, they also 3 hours plus. I used to work at a corporate firestone in the mid to late 90's in a major city. I was a mechanic and we had a tire tech who only worked on tires for every shift. We kept a bay open so we would be able to handle any tire sale or repair. This shows you care about the customer but also your tire/ service reputation regarding your number one product "tires". Firestone in the training I had in the mid to late 90's said that their main concern was tires because you guessed it they make TIRES. This store is mismanaged or badly trained or forgot their initial training. They should have customer service, time management and prioritization concepts retaught. Took my car in to have the oil changed. Took longer than expected, because of course they had to sell me on an air filter.....except they didn't have the air filter in stock. So an hour goes by, and it's finally done. The car is revving weird, pulsing to 2K rpm. It's never done that before. Took it to Honda, and apparently the idiots at Firestone disassembled the air intake, and didn't put it back together correctly. The ECU has to be reprogrammed, and $150 later it's back to running fine. Of course the Firestone idiots won't stand behind anything they did, so the oil change is now $200 and more of my wasted time. Stay away. These guys aren't qualified to fill windshield wiper fluid. read more

I had installed tires and TPMS at Walmart but they could not make the TPMS work. now i go to my Firestone and saw ERIC and he had his guy work on it and he relapsed the crappy TPMS's that don't work for my van. Some of my log-nuts were missing he fixed them and he didn't charge me for that he said its a safety issue and its on the house. thank you ERIC you saved the day. read more

I had the pleasure to meet Eric, who is the new manager for this Firestone location. In need of an alignment, Eric explained that he had the right equipment to perform a 4 wheel alignment on my Mercedes C-class. I was able to leave my car and was called in a few hours later when it was done. When picked up, everything was tracking straight as it should be. Horrible service. They did an install of four tires and used the wrong caps on my tire pressure monitor equipped vehicle. After breaking one of the stems trying to remove the caps, I brought the tire in and one of the staff members admitted to the mistake (in his exact words - "we never should have installed those caps in the first place") and said he would take care of it. The second day, they charged an additional $136 for fixing their mistake claiming no one had made such an offer prior and that this "was not in their system." Meanwhile, I will still have to replace the other sensors at my cost since none of the caps are removable. Had I known I would get charged $136 for a $30 TPMS, I would have not brought the car back here and paid them to fix their own mistake. read more

Went to this place eight years ago and would never go back!! Beware ladies- they will rip you off!! Went for a dead battery and was told i needed all new roaters! The guys told me he couldn't legally let me leave- this was strange to me because i never thought my car had a problem before!! When i asked if they could show me the damage he told me they already removed them- so being stuck i had the "recommended work done". $700 later after using all of my savings a college student had an maxing out my credit card- i was given my car back!! Six months later- the brakes needed to be replaced- shotty work and would stand clear!!! Im sure i was a just a dumb girl who knew nothing about cars to them- the perfect victim!! read more

Lack of knowledge and overpriced - DON'T GO TO THIS STORE!!! I could not start my car in the morning and paid them to check battery and starter, they could not find any problem, several weeks later, the car could not start again, I called them and they quoted $650 for starter replacement. I checked with another store, 5 minutes distance, just $350 only. read more

The place is really clean and nice for a tire and repair shop. The men who were working there got my car is super fast to get a screw out of my tire and patched. I had my young son with me and they worked fast so we didn't wait long and they even let me change the TV to cartoons. I will definitely go back and I recommend it. read more

My brother took his car in for a wheel aligment. Which he purchased a lifetime plan for. When going to pick up his car he saw the guy driving his car like he was on a race track. My brother noticed that power steering fluid was all over the ground when the guy brought the car back. He took pictures of it and told the manager. The manager said they are closed and to come back tomorrow. While driving home he noticed the car driving weird. He could not go past the second gear. He noticed that there was a hole in the transmission which it wasnt there before putting it in the shop. Next day he went back and told the manager. We made a claim with corporate and waited almost 2 weeks for an inspector to come out. Only to find out that they blamed it on us. How could you do that when the car was fine before entering the shop? All over the internet there is reviews about people being in the same shoes as we are in. I will not accept this. The car should have stayed in the condition it came in. read more
