I initially gave this location a good review however after I took my vehicle and drove and parked at the Ross on 10 July is when the review went to ZERO. Whoever worked on my Audi Q8 did not know how to properly ensure the oil change that was conducted was down accordingly. All 8 liters of synthetic oil was out of car and within my engine, torque, brakes and firewalls. Now corporate is giving me the run around to where I can't even get my vehicle fixed. One of my tire has a hole thats unrepairable and I needed to swap my spare tire on it. Firestone is near my home and decided to stop there and ask if they could do it. I parked by the bay and one of the tech told me to check in the front and when I got there the front desk told me no available time till 3 hrs but he was kind enough to do it himself and I was out in less than 20 minutes. I really can't win for losing with Firestone locations in my area. I came to the Harker Heights one because of the unprofessionalism at the Trimmier location. Jose, is A1!! Super hospitable and exudes the level of customer service that should be displayed when you have customers spending thousands of dollars on their vehicles but when he's not here, there is NO hospitality at all. I was given an appointment time of 11:00 am. When I arrived they told me that they would contact me once everything was completed. It took them over 3 HOURS! I was infuriated! Bad customer service and communication Scheduled an appt online (12/2/24) to get a tire replaced..at 1pm...called to verify appt..man said they didnt have the tire but the store in Temple had one and they would go pick it up.The appt was for 4pm..I get the at 340pm to check in...asked what I was there for..then was told that the tire was not picked up...so I waited...at 5pm..the guy returned from the Temple store..and I was told they didnt have the tire...so I wasted an hour out of my day for literally nothingI dont know why they didnt call the Temple store to verify they had the tire and to hold it..or the guy who drove to Temple and call the store saying they didnt have instead of me waiting. From start to finish I was handled with care. Jose, the GM, was very sweet in giving the details over the phone and voluntarily told me about an oil change sale they were having. I have an SUV and the price was only $30. They give you a list of service beforehand so you know what to expect, and they do a little extra from their own checklist. I was surprised they check your tires as well. The waiting room is sunny, but they have window shades and comfortable seating. They have a TV you can actually hear, different selections of Kurig coffee, and several magazines of interest for men and women from leisure to financial. James was hard working and friendly and always tried to correct any errors. The two of them knew the answers to my questions and were honest about what I do and don't need. The team there are very nice and they work fast. There were a few cars ahead of me and there was much wait time ... I still got out within 45 min. I would go back there again. I took it in and besides being understaffed they were amazing. The guys up front were so kind and listened to my concerns, they even checked my tires for me because 2 other places said my sensor was broken (it wasn't). Today it didnt come on but I brought it in to get checked just in case. Firestone ran a diagnostic and nothing was wrong with it. Paid $110 (with mil discount) to be told there are no issues. They told me I needed a new BCM for 1100 dollars.I took it to get a second opinion and It ended up being a simple plug that needed to be changed out for 10 dollars. I had the worst experience at Firestone and do not recommend this place at all. I took my car in to have the ac replaced 4 times because it would work for two weeks and then stop working. Somehow ended up with them breaking a cap in my BMW then somehow I ended up with a major leak. After spending over $2400 on my car and the ac still didn't work, they wanted more money to fix what they thought was the ac issue. They were just guessing on how to fix my ac. I dropped my car off on Sunday, it wouldn't start. They told me they'd run a diagnostic (it wasn't the battery or alternator). They called and said it was starter. 415$ Okay. Starter replaced, car still didn't start. Called me and told me I needed new junction box. Okay. 160$ plus the 415$. Guy called and said it's starting. Took an Uber here for fort hood. Car still doesn't work. Now they say the underlying cause is too extensive for Firestone and I need the engine worked on. I've paid almost 600$. My car still doesn't work. we had an appointment for an alignment and a stud replacement. we got an estimated time of 2 hours for this. we arrived shortly before the end of the 2 hours and went in there and they didn't saw anything to us. about 45 minutes later they called and said it was done and then didn't actually call us up for another 15 minutes to checkout. they didn't do the requested service and instead did an inspection. after a while, the guy helping said they actually did do the alignment, but not the stud replacement. additionally, we had another car in there for a balance, rotation, and alignment and they didn't do the rotation at all. read more

All in all I'd say decent service. We were in town with a rental car. The oil change light clicked on and I was uncomfortable driving all the way home without getting the oil change. After about 40 minutes on the line with the rental car service I was directed to take the car to the airport rental place. I called the rental car place a few times unsuccessfully and finally got through. They let me know they don't do the oil changes themselves, but I could go direct to Firestone. I headed over to Firestone.... beware, the maps are confusing (see pic) and the shopping center is HUGE! The Firestone location is behind the Ross, Chick-Fil-A and Jack in the Box. I went in and explained I was sent by the rental car service. The guy was friendly an helpful. He let me know it should take no more than an hour. I gave him my cell and headed to lunch. Less than an hour later I got the call that the car was done. When I went back in I was helped right away. All in all I'd say I spent less than 5 minutes being helped. Fast reliable service and they bill the rental car service directly so I didn't pay a penny out of pocket! read more

I took it to them and was initially disappointed and thought the bad reviews they had in the past and the experience I had with them was happening again. We went in on a Monday to get tires before we left the state on Saturday. We were told the tires would be in Wednesday and they would give us a call to bring the truck in that day. We went ahead and paid for the tires so they could order them on Monday. Wednesday rolled around and we didn't receive a call. So I called on Thursday and they didn't have the tires and didn't know when they would be in. I told the lady I just wanted my money back so we could go somewhere else to get new tires. It took a whole month and 15 phone calls before we ever got refunded the money. Not to mention we paid them almost $1,200 and got the same exact tires for $400 at another place! I had an appointment today (7 Apr 17) at 800 am and told the Gentleman that checked me in "I would like you to look over my car, I recently took it to Just Brakes (now called Pep Boys in Killeen and they did a whole bunch of work and I would like to see if it was done right" The gentleman said "No problem, we will look it over" I said thanks and went on my way. I was called at around 1030 by Kristen, she told me " your motor mounts and my transmission mounts were worn and needed replacing", I told her "Make the repairs, I need my car by 300 pm so I can pick up my daughter from school", she told me "I understand, Ill get them to work on it right away". Well, at 230, I called them and asked for an update, Kristen said "Sir, the mount is on it's way and will be here in 10 minutes". I said "I thought my car was going to be done by 300 pm so I could pick up my daughter?" She said "I'm sorry" My wife who was driving in from out of town, had to rush to get my daughter by 300 pm, luckily, she left early enough, so that she could accomplish this. At 400 pm, I called again to check the status, Kristen said "It will be 20 minutes" Total for the repairs were $850.69 after all was said and done. I asked her for a discount for failing to deliver my car to me at the promised time, for failing to call me, and for not following thru with anything that she told me. She said "I gave you a free oil change" This is unacceptable to me because I was told that my car would be ready by 300 pm, it wasn't ready until 526 pm. If my wife didn't leave early enough from her trip out of town, I would have had to find a ride in order to get my daughter from school. I received no updates accept when I called them, and my vehicle was delivered 2 hours and 26 minutes past the time promised and all I got was a free oil change? This is my first and last visit to your establishment. I will not be returning for any services on my car unless something can be done to fix this problem. read more

This place normally has really great service and the people are so nice. However they are not following covid protocol. Me and my whole family buys from firestone for all of our tires. When the weather gets cold we also come for air. They are always so quick to fill our tires however the last time I went I was waiting in my car and one of the associates comes out to fill my tires, opens the front car door WITHOUT their mask on and looks at the sticker on the door and asks which tires needed filled. They were definitely within 6 feet of me. Keep in mind this was after I went inside to ask for air where I spoke to the same person that came out. I appreciate that they looked at the car information, but the lack of respect my health and those in the car overpowers all good that they did. read more

This location is stellar with customer service. I've been coming here since I got stationed at Fort Hood and they have met every need that I've had with two cars I have owned. I currently have a Mercedes-Benz and they have always helped me chose the best tires for the type of vehicle I have. Great attitude from the staff and mechanics. I had to take a 275 mile trip and took it in for a rattling and whining noise from the engine. They found the problem and explained in detail what was needed and also found other issues I wasn't aware of that definitely needed repair. It was a two day job. It cost me about $200.00 more than I wanted to spend but I knew full well I had done issues that probably needed attention but they were fine. I am done with Firestone for good!!! They always take forever. I just needed a simple tire rotation. I made an appointment for 1 pm. I also needed to grab a few things from Target. So while I was waiting I went to Target, walked my pregnant butt all the way across the parking lot and lugged a big thing of toilet paper all the way back. An hour later! My car was in the same spot and after inquiring I find out they haven't even touched my car. AN HOUR AFTER MY APPOINTMENT FOR A SIMPLE TIRW ROTATION!!!! All the guy could do was shrug his shoulders. I immediately asked for my keys back and left without getting the rotation I PAID FOR WHEN I BOUGHT THEIR OVERPRICED TIRES!! My original review had rated Firestone 5 stars. I have used them several times since 2012. I have used them exclusively for my vehicle repairs. But their service and quality has greatly declined. I no longer think that they can be trusted for estimates of time, cost, or scope of work. They have become abysmal at keeping the customer appraised of work being done. They still have one really good service rep and I hope he lands in a better place soon, but it's impossible for him to do his job accurately with the team with which he's working. I'm sad to have to say it, but I will look elsewhere for all my car care in the future and would not recommend Firestone to anyone. read more

Came in for an alignment and a diagnostic check. It took them about 45 minutes to get my vehicle in with an appointment. The appointment only puts you ahead of walk-ins, but if they are currently doing an alignment and no bays are open you'll have to wait which I was fine with. When checking the diagnostic, the realized that my spare tire was on and the tire with the sensor was under the vehicle. I asked that they switch them out or put the sensor on the spare (the spare is the same size as my primary tires.) So they checked my spare and determined it was still a good tire and then they took off the sensor and put it on the tire that did not have a sensor. For this they did not charge me anything since I was there for such a long time. The employees were friendly. I would recommend them, just be aware that appointments only get you on the list, and that they can get busy and you'll probably have to wait around for a while. I would return again for service, maybe next time I'll make an early morning appointment instead of an afternoon one. read more

I accidentally ran over a curb and my low profile tire blew, so I ordered a new one online which was delivered to them very quickly (less than 22 hours) and when I called to see if they could put it on same day they said "sure!, Just come on over." They also gave me a ride to somewhere nearby so I wouldn't have to wait there. I walked back and the car was done minutes after I got back.
