Had my vehicle aligned here 4000-5000 miles ago. Today I drove over one of those steel plates that the road crews use to cover a trench at 20 MPH and noticed that my steering wheel was now cocked at the 2 O'clock position. I called ahead to see if they could check the alignment and to make sure everything was " tight, right, and safe to drive as I suspected that perhaps someone failed to torque the front end down as they were the last place to work on it and it really wasn't an abrupt event that caused this compared to the off-roading I typically do without this issue. I was told it would be done and aligned by 8 pm when they closed. 8:30 rolls around and they were still working on a vehicle for someone who had been waiting 4 plus hours. I went outside to take a look at what they were looking at and the tech kept using expletives and saying that he had to be back in to work in 12 hours. Needless to say the alignment was off but asked if I could reschedule as everything else was safe. I have no issues making another appt and getting people home on time. They should not have told me that they could have me out in 2 hrs if they couldn't. I sat for 2h 45 min and still need to come back. Always a 2hr plus wait when coming to this place with or without an appointment. 10 service bays but only 2 techs. If it wasn't for the lifetime alignment I wouldn't be here. On the plus side, Phil was cool and apologetic for the wait. It's not the fault of the techs that they are understaffed. This is a mgt staffing issue and it is consistently an issue getting my vehicle within timeframe. read more

I set an appointment and waited for an hour before they tried to sell me some services and tires that I didn't need. They wouldn't rotate my tires even though that's what I came in to have done since they said I needed 2 new tires. I have plenty of tread on my tires. I definitely won't be back. read more

This single star rating is all because of the one employee with which I interacted. Everyone else was fine. As a matter of fact someone actually tried to remedy the situation the first employee messed up. However, I was still very upset from the first interaction and was having none of it. I'll spare everyone the full story but there was a dark-haired larger-build Hispanic guy that helped me the first time. It's not an exaggeration to say that if this guy had any less customer service skills, he would be a rock. Still, he's a mechanic I thought so I let him order me the part and I came back two days later at the time he set for me. I rearranged mine and my friend's whole schedule that day for this repair. Well, guess what, that dude wasn't there and no one in the store knew anything about my part being ordered or my appointment. The guy that was there at the time did his best to remedy the situation but nothing could be done that day. I appreciate his efforts but my day was already ruined. I'm sorry that the first guy's competence brings down the rest of the team, but that's how it goes. I will not be going to this store while that first guy still works there and I have no choice but to assume that he's merely an indication of how this place is managed. read more

I would recommend this place for service. My previous post about Henderson Hyundai talks about my wheel that was cracked. The Firestone guys understood the issue put my new rim on the car and balanced the tire. They even let me take pictures of the tire and rim. They have never seen a crack that big before. First time for everything. Im always weary bringing my car into these shops as they try to sell you everything in the books. Being in the business for 10 years I understand this is how they make the money. I brought my car in for a flat repair. The salesman who I won't name called me and told me my tire was unrepairable because of dry rot. A tire from dry rot is repairable as long as steel cords are not exposed and the leak is not coming from the dry rot itself. The tire had minimal dry rot that is custom here in dry Las Vegas. The tire will be fine for at least another year. He was being dishonest and trying to take me for a ride for a set of new tires. COMMISSION BABY..... And he didn't even top my tire off with air. If you want a dishonest shop that will take you and your money for a ride stop on in cause thats what you'll get. Off to Costco read more

I will forever take my car here regardless of pricing. I took my car here once for an oil change because it was in walking distance from my job. Being a woman I've always been taught to be careful going to a mechanic alone and to ignore them when after servicing they tell you you need this this and that. After the oil change Phil let me know I had three nails in one tire and all my tires needed to be replace and that he didn't recommend going on my upcoming trip. He then handed me paperwork. He didn't go over the pricing, he didn't tell me to do it now. He didn't negotiate. He genuinely told me I needed it ASAP and to be careful. Since then, I went back for the tires, and yesterday my brakes. Phil is still great! It pays to just be honest and because of this my husband takes his car to the Firestone by our house. I brought my truck here last week for an oil change and during the inspection they found a major issue with my brake system. I ended up replacing the master cylinder and power booster. They were fast, friendly and affordable. I felt the manager was through in his explanation of the problem and was able to offer me a discount on the service. I was satisfied enough to come back today with another vehicle for service. Again, they were fast, thorough and friendly. I just finished breakfast, got in my car, turned the ignition key--and ran into trouble. The key would not turn. I was able to take the key in or out, and tried several times (also had my brake on, and steering wheel was not locked), but the key would not turn. I called AAA and they were able to give me a 90 minute wait time. I waited for five minutes and decided to try one more time. . . and bingo! The key turned in the ignition and started up immediately. I drove straight to Firestone, right around the corner from my home. They did a diagnostic check on my battery (it was fine) and then, over the course of an hour, checked my ignition multiple times. Everything worked fine. No charge!!! These guys were so nice and would not take any money. A five star experience, for sure. read more

My wife and I had a scheduled an appointment to change our rear tail lights and came out to our car to find out that we had a flat tire. Called up Firestone to reschedule for a later time and they did so hassle free. Came in and they were pretty busy but acknowledged every customer and got to everyone in a timely fashion. I don't even know where to begin to fully explain how impressed I am with the service I received. First, I have to tell you that I live about .2 miles away from the store; I can literally see it from my house. The night before your men helped me, I had Kia's road side assistance come out to my car to put my spare on, only to find out that my car doesn't have a spare. Awesome! The next morning, I called the Green Valley Firestone and asked Phil Lampkin if he thought I could drive to his store on my flat tire, because I thought getting a tow to drive my car to a store I could see from my apartment was a waste of money. Phil let me know that this was a bad idea, because I could permanently bend my rim. Instead, he said he would drive across the street to my apartment and try to fill my tire with enough air to make the drive across the street to Firestone. When he got to my car, he noticed that the tire was completely shredded and wouldn't accept air. At this point, Phil had already gone above and beyond, in my opinion, by coming out to my car. Once he saw that the tire couldn't be filled with air, making it inoperable, he could have told me that I needed a tow. Instead, Phil took off my entire wheel, put it in the back of his truck, and brought it across the street to Firestone. At the shop, he found a new tire, put it back on the wheel, and brought it back across the street to my car. In the parking lot of my apartment, he replaced the wheel on site and then had me follow him back to Firestone. He did all this out of the kindness of his heart and with a smile on his face. Needless to say, I WAS REALLY FREAKING IMPRESSED!! Phil's hardwork (in 110 degree weather!!) saved me about $100, because I didn't need to pay for a stupid tow. Believe me when I say, that I have told literally EVERYONE about the outstanding service I received from the Green Valley Firestone and Phil Lampkin. On top of it all, Phil didn't even charge me any extra fee for coming out to my car! Who does that? It's been a long time since I've received such top notch service. I'm in sales and customer satisfaction is a big deal. Not only will I recommend your store to anyone who will listen, but Phil's service created a customer for life in me. I will never use firestone again! I made an online appointment for Monday, June 21 at 1 o'clock. When I got there they told me that online appointments are not guaranteed, even though I used Firestones online service!!that didn't make sense to me. Anyway I made an appointment for Thursday, June 24 at 1 o'clock I show up on time and the guy that works there tells me it'll be a couple of hours because they have to go get the filter, at this point I was frustrated and asked him why they did not have a filter for me if I had made an appointment his response was very condescending and rude, he proceeded to tell me that people make appointments and don't show up so they don't get the parts until the customer shows up! which in my opinion is bad customer service, instead of being empathetic towards my dilemma he starts arguing with me and telling me that they're don't have parts laying around he was so rude!!! Needless to say I left and took my business elsewhere. Somebody needs to teach their employees that work there to have a little bit more customer service and empathy for the customers I was very disappointed in the service I got! read more

I just wanted to let someone know how I was treated when i had gone to your store on N Stephanie St. I had gone in for a simple flat tire repair. First off they wanted to charge me for the repair on the Firestone tires that I had purchased from your store up on horizon ridge. Secondly Your store manager Bing had informed me that the tire was not repairable. He stated that it was because the tire was 5 years old, the nail was too close to the sidewall of the tire and that my tires were bald. The nail that was in the tire was over an inch in from the sidewall and the tread on that tire was 5/32 of an inch (I had Discount Tire measure it for me while I was standing there and they stated that the tire could have been repaired safely by you facility). The only remedy that he could come up with was to replace ALL of my tires. Third I did not want them to inspect my entire vehicle all I wanted was for them to repair the tire. I was in your facility for about an hour and a half with only one other person in the waiting room while they inspected my vehicle. Not sure why it took so long but I waited anyways. As a result of how poor your management is at this store, I will no longer return to any of you facilities again or even recommend your facility to anyone that I know. As a side note I did purchase tires from Discount Tire on their financing (which was never offered or even mentioned by your employees) only because they were polite the moment I had walked in and were truthful about the condition of my tires. I did not write this for someone to call me so DO NOT CALL. I wrote this for the fact that I'm 80 years old and I felt like i was being taken advantage of. Luckily my son owns an automotive repair shop but unfortunately he does not do tires there. We have recommended some of our customers to go there recently for tires but the feed back that we have gotten from them lately was all about the same as my experience: untruthful, not trustworthy and they prey on unsuspecting customers. We have been sending customers there for a few years and never had an issue with the last crew that was there under the manager Chris. I would recommend a change before you lose all of you customers and be know as a normal "take advantage of people" repair facility. read more

I had a previously estimate from month prior that he proceeded to give me for $645 for brakes front and rear. For a 1998 Honda Accord !!! A week ago I went in for an oil change. I started to get check oil level warnings saying I had too much oil in the car A couple days after getting an oil change at Firestone . I took the car back to Firestone today and got the runaround from the manager. First he said that it would all depend on how old the oil was because if it is old then it expands, I asked him to explain again and he had no hesitation to repeat the same outrageous lie. I told him to check the records that I was there just a few days ago then he continued to say well it could be that the oil just expanded again. He then advised me that they had filled the oil to the manufacturer specifications and checked it before I left and that you did not have too much oil but now it looks like it has half a quart extra and that means that the oil expanded. In a nutshell I told him how full of it he was because oil does not expand, no doubt this idiot mistook me as someone he can lie to with a straight face. 10pm at night my car lets me know I have a nail in my tire. Needing to get my kids to school/work the next day I look and see what tire shop is closest to me. This location is close to me and they open at 7am, yay I won't be late to work and my kids won't be late to school. I get my kids up early to get there at close to 7am as possible. We get there at 7:15am and there are no customers there. I think to myself yay I should be in and out. The employee (didn't get his name) asked me what I needed I told him I had a nail in my tire. He asks if I'm dropping my car off I said no I can wait for it. He proceeds to tell me that they won't be able even LOOK at my car till NOON bc they had 2 cars that had been there for 2 days that they hadn't looked at and they only had one tech there that day. Um what. Wait 5 hours before they LOOK at my car. The employee said sorry but there's nothing he could do. I left, drive over to discount tire and was in and out of discount tire in 45 mins without an appt and with 5 people ahead of me. Firestone was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and I will NEVER go there again even with them being literally across the street from me I'd rather drive to receive customer service. read more

I had nothing but 5 star service from the moment I arrived. Side, note ... they're busy so it's best to make an appointment if possible. Great customer service skills, great communication. I'd had an oil change and an alignment done on my vehicle a few days before at another auto repair business. At the other place, they also rotated my tires. When my tires were off they showed me a bunch of grease or some sort of built up gunk around one of my CV boots. They also showed me that my tires were in very poor condition. They offered to sell me new tires, but offered me a cheap tire. I passed on that. So I called and made an appointment for this Firestone. Upon arrival I advised the employee of what I'd had done a few days prior, and asked him to have his service techs take a look at the issue with the CV boot leak. They came back stating that they'd checked for leaks twice and found nothing. It just looked as if someone wiped a bunch of grease on my CV boot axle. So they cleaned it. Also, my tires came back still a bit out of alignment. I looked at the printout, which showed an improved from a few days ago, but it was still out of alignment, and one of my tires was leaning at an angle, which would produce uneven wear. So they fixed all of that, plus a nice set of good tires, plus a lifetime tire warranty, for a very VERY reasonable price. Nobody could be what I paid here at this Firestone ... plus great service. After a long day at work I got home to find a nail in my tire. Of course this happens at 5pm on a Sunday. I called ahead and they informed me that they were open until 6pm. I went right over. Timeliness and customer service are lacking here. I called on Monday and set up an appointment to have an alignment and oil change completed. I was quoted that the service would take 1hr and 20 mins. When I brought the car in, I was quoted the same time. I dropped the car off at 0900. I called at 1100, spoke to Roger who asked me if it was turned in this morning because he just got in. After I informed him that he turned in my vehicle, he gave a weak chuckle. But, he said he'd check on the vehicle. After 20 mins, I called back. Thankfully Roger did not answer this time. However, the guy who did answer asked Roger and there was no answer from him. The guy actually checked on the vehicle this time and told me it would be another 30-40 mins!!!!! Wow! How weak is this? 1hr and 20 mins turns into 3 hrs!!!! Too say the least- I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS FIRESTONE! Sincerely- "Still waiting for the car..." PS: Finally picked up the car at 1220. 3hrs 20mins. Phil- hooked me up with a free oil change. Lesson learned- if you go to this Firestone, deal with Phil and not Roger. read more

I stopped by because my main mechanic is out of town and I needed to get my salvaged car inspected before I registered with DMV. They said they would pre- inspect it for free. He said I needed a partial switch for the automatic door and the part would cost $115 and the labor $120. Plus I had to wait 2.5 hours and never got the part. While I was waiting I called my parts store and found out the entire remote window area would cost $94 and they were charging me $235 for one switch! I brought it up to the sales guy and he immediately said he could take it off. I also told him I was placing a review and horrible customer service waiting for parts for 2.5 hours when there is several auto parts store in the same location. They they had the audacity to charge meme $50 fir the inspection report when he said the ore-inspection would be free. Please check your own auto parts and make sure you have hours of time to burn before you here! read more

Update of this review, i would like to thank Chris for rectifying this situation. I'm currently at Firestone in Scottsdale waiting for my tires to be replaced. It's unfortunate that this happened but that's life. This review starts good then gets worse, on July 1 I was moving to Phoenix and just past the Hoover Dam my serpentine and water pump belts broke. I had my car towed there since it was a Sunday and they were opened. Chris was wonderful let me make a point in saying that, it took 5 hours to repair cause the were sent the wrong belt which they failed to tell me as I'm waiting. Corey worked on my car and I thought he did a great job until I arrived in Phoenix within a few days I was getting a vibration so I went to get an oil change and have my mechanic see what the problem was. Well I go to find out that Corey tighten only 3 lug nuts on my front right tire, 2 were missing and 1 was loose. Then I found out I was also missing a front left lug nut and 2 more were loose. So I drove around for a week with this problem, imagine if the tire fell off as I'm driving 65 on the highway. I could've been seriously injured or killed. Im still waiting to hear from them pertaining to this. Needless to say DO NOT bring your car here. What I thought was a great place turned out to be a hack shop thanks to Corey. Rudy told us it would be 1hr to come back, we came back after 2 hrs and they haven't even started on our vehicle as of yet. The sales person told us that Rudy gave us the wrong information and he has left for the day. We decided to take our business elsewhere, the absolute worst experience we have ever had with Firestone. I went in to get one of my tires fixed due to there being a nail in it. At first an employee said that the service would be free if they could successfully patch the tire. The employee later stated that the nail was at an angle which made the tire unfixable. The employee said that all four of my tires needed to be replaced because the tire was "splitting" which could make the tire blow out at any minute. Mind you my tires are two years old and have only gone through 20,000 miles. The employee said I needed four new tires and it would cost around 500.00 to fix. I went to another tire shop later that day and they said they could fix the tire that had the nail in it for free and stated that the rest of my tires were fine. Pretty upset that this business tried to upsell me 500.00 worth of tires that I didn't need. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
