Absolutely love this place. I bring all three of our vehicle here, even our Mercedes Sprinter Van. The customer service is always excellent, and they're super supportive of military and first responders (Wednesdays!!!) Whatever the issue, they're always transparent about your vehicle's needs and they keep you updated on the work being done via text and a link that takes you to your car and it's work order. Oil appointment was at 10am. I walked into the lobby and there was one lady at the counter while the Pep Boys employee sat at his computer. Not once was I acknowledged or even told "I'll be right with you." I stood there for 15 minutes. The employee got up multiple times during that period and could have easily acknowledged me. While waiting, I called Brake Masters and immediately had a friendly representative offer to service my car within the hour. I walked right out and ended up having a great experience there instead. INCOMPETENT - Set an appointment for noon. Arrived and aske how long it would take. I was told it was indicated as 1 hour in the book but that the mechanic was out on a test drive for another vehicle but he couldn't be sure. After waiting an hour, they hadn't even started on it. I asked for a time estimate and they told me to leave the vehicle because they didn't know what day it would be done. read more

tl/dr: Long time customer potentially ripped off by company I had a horrible experience today with my service. I have been using Pep Boys for quite some, and while their prices are not always the cheapest, I have never felt like they were trying to scam me. That is, until today. I went in today to get my headlight on my passenger side swapped out. I have had this service done at Pep Boys, at this location, twice in the past couple of years. My most recent time was April 3, 2025 for my driver's side. On both occasions I paid on average about $85. Plus, they were advertising a headlight installation package of $22 for each side, so I assumed it would be in the same ballpark. Perhaps a little more with ever increasing prices. Something I have noticed this location has started doing, is that they will not let you see the work order ahead of time, and flash things quickly across the screen. They ask you to sign and ask for the keys. (This part I bear some responsibility for not requesting the work order up front. As I had no issue with them in the past, and the charges had been consistent, I felt no need to.) When it came time to close me out, they handed me the work order and a list of recommended services. The first thing that jumped out at me is that they were charging me $560 to change my head light. Parts were $340, labor $160. Nearly a 700% increase in price. That seemed ridiculous, and I told them I could not pay that much. The service tech told me they could put my old bulb back, but it would still be $113 for labor. I essentially paid $113 for no service, which was still more than I paid just 5 months ago for a complete headlight service. I decided to leave to check my records and banks statements at home, to make sure I was not erroneous about the previous cost of services. Also, as part of the recommended services they said my check engine light was on, and they could do a diagnostic for $100. When I pulled into the shop my check engine light was definitely NOT ON. My oil change light was, but not the check engine light. I thought perhaps they made a mistake. When I got into my car, sure enough, my check engine light was on, but not my oil light. Turned off my car, and turned it back on, and the check engine light stayed OFF. However, my oil light is now not coming on at all. Though I cannot prove it, with the shady charges with the headlight, I suspect someone may have been messing with my car's electronics to try to scam me for $100 more. I attempted for 2 weeks to get a response from the company. They opened a ticket and closed it the same day. Their response to me boiled down to "it's valid, sorry." As well as an attempt to gaslight me regarding my check engine light. I also asked them for a break down of the charges to justify what they attempted to, and did, charge me, and they refused to reply. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS. Made an appointment online for a Lift Car Inspection at 8:30am, when I arrived at 8:25am this guy (staff member) said they could not honor my appointment . I questioned him why they have online appointments if they can't honor the appointment time and date. He was so rude and unprofessional with his attitude demonstrating no customer service skills. He basically said get out of here I am busy, come back on Tuesday. Never coming back. Take your online reservations offline if you do not want make a quick $19 dollars inspection, simple as that! Was told to come on in, and within minutes of arriving, got my battery tested and it is now being replaced! Just had to pay for installation! I went into Pep Boys to get my A/C checked(on a special) & recharged IF needed the tech looked at the car & even came to ask me questions to see what I was experiencing I explained that my a/c was running intermittently but had run fine the day before he did a check of the system he suggested charging the system @ $200+ I left after receiving the service & within an hour or so I was back with the same issue this time popping the hood and looking within minutes the manager & tech said I needed a COMPRESSOR around $700 the tech said he must have missed the non-working compressor the first time SMH & i was told that I would have to pay for another recharge AFTER doing the work and that the labor was around $460 i asked if I could just get the part and just pay for labor they said yes I went to auto zone to order the parts while I was there, the clerk asked me had I checked my antifreeze. I go and check my antifreeze and it is empty. I purchase a bottle of antifreeze fill up reservoir and have been fine every since I go back to Pep Boys to ask the manager Richie did they ever check antifreeze and he said that's NOT part of the air conditioning system & why should they have check the antifreeze level thanks to Steven @ AutoZone on Boulder Hwy I saved my $$ on repairs NOT needed I'm still out of the UNNECESSARY recharge IF it was done at all and a lesson learned!! I got an oil change a few months ago for two vehicles and boy do I regret it. Upon completion of both vehicles, I get home to find that both cars were leaking oil from the drain plug. Took it back and they resolved the problem fairly quickly, now i realize they sealed around the drain plug with thread locker! Took my tuck in to get the radiator flushed and refilled because I let it get low on fluid ( it was like 187 all month) it was not leaking anything but at the time I just had water to refill it so I wanted it flushed.. guy told me they had to do a diagnostic.. ok $40 not bad. So he comes back and tells me I have a cracked radiator and my thermostat needs to be replaced.. again I had no leaks, no oil in the water, no water in the oil, and my thermostat had just been replaced along with the sensor in the thermostat just a couple months prior. Dude tried to back peddle and say it was a small crack and the thermostat was standard. You have to take off the wheel just to get to the thermostat in my truck. Oh and the total would have been $1600. Decided to just do it myself. This is why I can't trust a single mechanic in this town. You're all liars who think everyone else are idiots. read more

New Store manager tanking g this place. Last time I come here. Appointment for 11am didn't start truck til 11:20 am claiming only 1 truck back bay when my truck has been in all bays and having to clean up after employees that didn't clean up. Old store manager my truck would have been almost done by now. Not just getting started. Now 1140 truck still o. The ground. No oil drained yet Server ice people moving at a snails pace. Used to take 45 Minutes for a oil change from start to finish. Not any more here. Bathrooms also dirty techs seem to have no idea what their doing. Tool 2 people to change the oil filter. Just got told by the Manager the guy doing the oil change doesn't have much experience doing oil changes he's only been here a few days. I was disappointed with the way they did business. I brought my car in for an alignment under warranty and they told me the bearings were so bad that they couldn't do an alignment. The quote for the work on the bearings was over $1000. I took my car to the best mechanic I know and he said that there's barely an issue with my bearings. The way they tried to upsell me for something I didn't need and the way the manager prodded for information about another location seemed shady. I will not be returning to this location. My vehicle had what looked like an oil leak. There were liquid drops staining my driveway. Dylan found an appointment for me on July 4th. The VW dealership couldn't get me in until July 8th so I went with Pep Boys to evaluate the leak. Brian was efficient and helpful checking me in. About 15 minutes later they found no leak after testing and showed me the car's undercarriage and all the wax that got underneath it from my visit to the Luv car wash. In the hot weather, it was melting and then dripping onto the floor. I am impressed with them going the extra mile to show me the problem so I could understand the extent of it. Beware beware UPDATE.... pepboys will not pay for any damages and do not feel responsible. If it wasn't for great guy who checked my tires i would give them 1 star. The service manager could not have been more negative. He was looking anyway not to help. Said they can't scan tires on 2017 vehicles, and to check tires would be $16. I said ok, he grimaced and said, " your going to have to bring it around" Said sure...and proceeded to say there was nothing they could do. When I pulled it up to the bay, a very nice younger guy checked the tires completely and said there was no charge.
