I was running errands and my steering was acting funny. I stopped by on a Saturday and Jacob came right out and took a quick look. He said everything looked ok, but he'd need to put it on the hoist to know for sure. He said that if it is what he thinks it might be, It's not safe to drive and I should leave it there. Later, they called back and confirmed the steering needed to be replaced and they got it done by the end of the next day (they had to order parts). I checked Google and their price was reasonable. My point is that Jacob warned me that my car is not safe to drive, and he was right. He may have saved me lots of aggravation and money, an expensive tow, and maybe even a hospital visit or a lawsuit if the steering locked up. Thanks Jacob! read more

Called ahead and was told I could get right in for an emissions test. Drove right over and was told there was one in front of me. Waited 45 minutes and when I asked for an eta I was told they were pulling a car out and there was one in front of me and it would be another 30 minutes. I could have just set an appointment over the phone instead of waisting my time and being lied to by Jacob with his head down asleep behind the counter! Horrible service and very poor mechanics, I brought my vehicle in on a friday and kept being told they are receiving the wrong part for my vehicle and are "figuring out"how to put the part on my vehicle. its very frustrating. I had a new starter, alternator and battery installed at the Georgetown location. The starter was cheap and defective. I had it towed to this location since I work in Hutto. They never called me with any updates or timeline. I had to call everyday to get an update and most of the time no one answered the phone. When I conveyed this to the employee he just made excuses and was defensive. Once I got my vehicle back it broke down again, from the same reason I dropped it off for originally, within a few hours. This has been a horrible experience and the lack of customer service makes me question the overall quality of the repairs, especially since it still isn't fixed. read more

I dropped it off at 11:30, when I came to pick it off p they had not even moved it out to the spot I parked it in. Called to get inspection at 10. Person who answered phone said to come in after 2pm because they were backed up. Asked if I could make appointment and was told I could not. Came in at 2pm after Yelp helpfully directed me to a cornfield four miles away. Was told they couldn't do the inspection because others came in. Asked why I was told to wait until 2? No answer. I took my car to get a much needed alignment and they were very helpful for getting an appointment set up and when they looked at my car, they told me that they would need to replace my two front tires because my alignment was way overdue and bad so I said OK do it but, when they called me on the phone telling me what else was wrong with my car they told me they ran a diagnostic because the engine light was on but I knew when I dropped off my car that engine light was not on, so they ran a diagnostic without my permission and after they were done with my car the next morning, I found on my front tire one of my lug nuts was missing because they either didn't put it on or it fell off because they didn't tighten it .So I'm thankful that my whole tire didn't come off because of that reason. read more

They diagnosed our vehicle incorrectly, after charging us $700 to do so, and refused to do anything after we realized what they prescribed was wrong. I had an appointment set for 1 PM and came in at 12:35 to provide information. I needed my wheels balanced, an inspection, and their complete car care package for $9.99 they're offering in June. They told me their inspector was out on lunch so I came back at about 1:15 to bring my car back. I was told that it should take an hour and fifteen minutes so I planned to come back at 2:30. I get back at 2 just to sit and wait and see that my vehicle hadn't even been touched yet. They finally get my vehicle in at about 2:45 and I asked if it would still take an hour and 15 minutes and I was told it shouldn't take that long. By 4:00, my vehicle was still not finished. Something that should've taken an hour max took over four hours and this was not communicated, at all. I was told they would update me along the way, this was not the case, however the men at the front were kind and informative about other information, I am not satisfied with something basic taking this absurd amount of time and it not being communicated when I could've been doing other stuff instead of waiting. read more

I called this Firestone in Hutto to get my truck alignment. When I talked to the representative he had asked if anything was done , I told him new off road tie rods were installed he said "nice" and gave me a time. I dropped off my truck 30 min early from my apt got an Uber home then called me an hour past my apt time. And said they can not do it cause it was lifted . When I talked to the rep to make the apt and he knew he should have said something , on top of that when I dropped it off and parked in front of the main door to where he saw it from the register. Other firestones in the area have serviced my truck but this one cannot ? read more

This review is not based off of the service I received, but more so the products. The person I dealt with initially was very friendly. I took my car in to get two new tires (I had previously replaced two in order for my car to pass inspection). I received a call saying that my car needed a new tie rod (because you can't take your car in without something else being wrong). I allowed them to replace that, but then my car was going to need to be realigned, which was yet another charge. I took my car home and drove maybe another 20 miles on it before getting a flat tire that evening. I find it awfully coincidental that I have all this work done involving tires and then I have a flat. I can't even remember the last time I had a flat tire. I called and was told that I would have to pay for a brand new tire since I did not purchase the road hazard insurance and the perforation was on the side wall. After speaking with management, I was given a 50% discount since I was unhappy with the fact that I had to purchase a, now third, tire. Fast forward to today (about a month later) and one of the brand new tires I bought has a slow leak. Not excited to have to deal with them again. read more

Drop my work van off to get and get oil change and to see what the sound that was coming from my exhaust was. They called back about 4-5 hours later and said that it was just my "tires" making the noise and that they were pulling my van in now to get the oil change done. Called back a couple hours later to see if my van was done and the guy that answered the phone seemed to have no clue of what's going on with my van. He also sounded very intoxicated. Called back a half hour later and got the same guy and this time he let me know that he didn't have any record or idea of my van. I said I'd be right there after this. Pulled up and my vehicle was outside. Went in and he totally looked inebriated and then went out to the garage when I told him my van was sitting outside. He came back and said oh I didn't know it was done or here because they had the paperwork out there. Got to van and my tool box was clearly moved from where it was when dropped off. Luckily none of my tools were gone. Got into my van and noticed that there was no new sticker saying what mileage I should bring it back in for service. Start to pull out of the parking lot and it was making weird noises it totally wasn't making before. Got home and there is something leaking for it now!! This place is awful. I needed an inspection, and was finally able to get a break from work to get it done. Came in on Thursday to try to get in. I was told to come in the next day when the inspector was there first come first serve. Came in Friday and the did the paperwork just to have the inspector tell me that he could not do the inspection because of rain. Came back the next day just for them to say I would have to wait 4 hours there for an inspection. Save yourself the trouble and go someplace else. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I just stood there for 10 minutes and not once did I even get acknowledged. Not even a simple "hi". I don't expect to be waited on instantly, that just nonsense but geez at least greet your customers and let them know it will be a minute or two before you can get to them. I completely understand it can get busy but that's absolutely no excuse to be ignored. All the while I'm standing there with a squirming toddler who's getting fussy. If I could get a negative star for the terrible customer service I would. All I came for is an inspection. Showed up this morning for my oil change appointment that I made online yesterday morning. I was told that they weren't accepting scheduled appointments today. I asked why no one called me to let me know like they say they would in my appointment verification email. The response I got was, "cause the computer won't allow us to delete your appointment. Look!" As he showed me his screen I pointed to my phone number on the screen and said, "you have my number so you could still call." Another woman in the lobby said she had the same issue. The guy said that all the other appointments were the same way & he might be able to keep my truck overnight and get to it tomorrow morning. I told him he better start calling the other appointments so he doesn't have a bunch of angry customers and he seemed very disinterested in providing better customer service. I asked for the manager & he gave me his business card, Joaquin Mercado. I asked if he would be in today and he said, "I hope so, he was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago, but hasn't shown up." My guess is the manager not even being able to show up on time to work is why this location has gone down hill. I'm very disappointed as this was the location I have been coming to the last 5 years. STAY AWAY! My daughter came by for scheduled oil change and purposely unclicked them doing a Courtesy check, but the technician/salesperson did it anyway. The 49.00 oil change, became a $785.00 repair recommendation after the technician told her the car was unsafe to drive. I contacted the manager bc my daughter was in tears over how she was going to get the money and time to get it done and the manager hung up on me (confession, I was MAD and said one curse word). As a female, he refused to let me speak at all. My husband called my daughter and told her exactly what to tell him (back up, get out of there and we will do whatever we need to do). Keep in mind the car was ON THE LIFT at the time this $785 dollar repair was given. She got the oil change. I called back when she brought me the inspection and the recommended charges and spoke to the manager again, more calmly this time and he again talked over me like I didn't know what I was speaking of and didn't give me a chance to share with him what his mechanic said and try to make it a better experience. He denied that his salesperson would say such a thing and hung up on me when I told him that she declined the courtesy check as this check never should have happened and I would be reaching out to the AG. Note- this may seem the musings of a helicopter mom, its NOT. Its the frustration of a woman who has before and will again have places like this one assume we don't know anything about cars and try to take advantage of a customer. Please read the other reviews that say the same thing! Its also important to note that her maintenance records were at another Firestone at her college home city in September and we have a very trusted mechanic that has worked on the car to keep it up. If the fact that your $49 dollar oil change will turn into a $785 recommended bill is not enough. Please consider not going here and helping to stop the bait and switch tactics of its employees and condoned by its manager. read more

Disgusted. Went in for an expensive oil change while having performance issues. The mechanic changed the oil and drove it not noted any issues. The car barely started we had problems getting it off the property, and during this the mechanic came out again saying he noticed it ran rough, but didn't see any obvious issues. After some research I decided to take it home to clean the MAF, only to open the hood any realize the intake manifold wasn't connected! I know little to nothing about cars but noticed it immediately and fixed it with a few zip ties. Utterly disgusted the mechanic missed this, and didn't bother to look or mention upon noticing poor engine performance. read more

This place is a joke. I got an online quote for four tires. When I went in on Sunday to buy them, they had suddenly been "discontinued", but they had something comparable that was only $200 more. Nice bait and switch guys! I told the tire guy no, I wanted what I was quoted - after all, that's what a quote IS, right? So he told me there were 32 of the tires in the area and he would get them and call me back on Monday. Not ideal, because I didn't want to drive back out to Hutto just for that purpose, but I can live with it. No call on Monday. No call on Tuesday. No call on Wednesday. (In the meantime I submitted a complaint on the firestone.com website, and have not heard a word back from them, either.) Finally I call him on Thursday. OF COURSE, it's his day off. But the guy who answered the phone tells me that there are only two tires in the area (not sure what happened to the other 30 between Sunday and Thursday, but I sure wish they'd have sold them to me!) and that they won't get them from another area and that I can have inferior tires for the same price. I've made multiple good-faith attempts to give Firestone my business, but at this point, I think one of their competitors is going to be a bit more trustworthy. In today's ultra-competitive market, that's too bad for them. read more

These guys did a good job at assessing my brakes and saving me a chunk of money I thought I was going to need to spend HOWEVER, they took 6 and a half hours to put on and balance 2 tires. As a guy who worked at Lambs automotive in my younger days I can tell you 2 tires and balancing is about an hours worth of work tops. They called me right before closing time to come get it too. They do solid work but make sure you have plenty of expendable time when using these guys, they work slow. read more
