These guys are amazing. Called them at 650 when they close at 7 and told them we were on our way to a motocross race for my son and had at bolt in our tire and had to be at the track the next morning 250 Miles away in Arizona after we had already traveled 500 mikes from Northern California and had been on the road since 5am. The store manager said come on over we'll wait and get you fixed up. We arrived and they proceeded to fix our flat and then check the air in all our including spare; this is after they had official closed for the night. Amazing; this type of customer service doesn't hardly exist anymore. Defiantly made me a Firestone customer. I can't can't thank Al and crew enough. Thank you thank you. To follow up with my previous review; I spoke with Brian, the area manager, yesterday and he told me that he would be at the Indio location today and was confident that he could find someone to work on my vehicle. I decided that I would show up and have my car serviced and if not, I was going to demand a refund. I was very pleased with the customer experience: the wait time, the way I was treated, and overall service was excellent. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I wasted gas driving there the first three times. The Indio location is now under new management as of today, so I look forward to seeing how my future visits to this location will be. read more

My boyfriend took our car in to get its brakes fixed. They squeaked and the car would shake when braking and if you would brake hard the car would jump or jolt to a stop. So, we took it in. First off, they said our brakes were fine just dirty. Which did not make sense but we believed them. They cleaned them and we went back and picked it up. My boyfriend said it was driving great! Then half way home he calls me saying they are smoking. REALLY bad. Mind you, he drives trailers for a living with a CDL so if it's smoking bad enough he had to pull over and call for help then it was serious. He took it back to firestone and they said they had put the pads on wrong therefor the tires were locking up. Their fuck up. So they fixed it. We picked it back up. The car was no longer smoking but when we drove we could smell burning and the brakes still were not 100%. So the next morning we took it back for a third time. They checked the brakes and decided to replace the drums (which apparently they never checked in the first place) and they charged full price. We have the car back now. It does not smoke that's a plus but it never did in the first place. And we are right back where we started with the brakes. They squeak, the car shacks and it still jolts. I would not recommend firestone to anyone and will not be going back there. Such an incredible waste of money and time. read more

This place is not honest and has no integrity. I dropped my company truck off Saturday March 19th around 11 am.On Sunday evening March 20 I went back to retrieve my companies gas card and my apartment gate card. To my surprise both the gas card and gate card were no longer in the place in which they were last located. I have reason to believe one of the employees may have stolen both items out of my company truck. On Sunday March 20 I spoke briefly with the manager on duty. To which he informed me " no one has been in the truck". Thankfully both items are replaceable.But the fact that you have thieves working there is outrageous. Please receive all personal belongings prior to dropping off your vehicle because there will be no accountability.Unfortunately opportunist work at this Firestone shop in Indio. read more

This is the worst auto service I've experienced in the ten years I've had my car. I went for a safety inspection that I (falsely) expected to be a half hour. After waiting for an hour and a half I asked what was going on with my car. They came back and said "twenty minutes", then after that "ten more minutes", etc. etc. They told me my brake pads needed replacing, and for that I'm thankful because I had no idea. But as I'm driving out of the business my car is now making a squeaking sound when it rolls. I bring it back in and wait another half hour for them to fix it. As I leave - finally - no squeaking sound BUT now my brakes are actually scraping/grinding. So, my car is in worse shape than it was before; and it is arguably less safe than it was before. read more

Oil change took 1 hour (from wait time to completion). Cost $20. I had been at Jiffy Lube just prior and they tried to charge $63 for the same oil change performed by Firestone. Borderline insulting. The only thing preventing Firestone from being 5-star: they pitch several add-on services, some of which are straight up untruthful. I JUST had my brake fluid changed a couple weeks before my visit here (by another auto shop), and they presented me with "highly corrupted" brake fluid needing a change for $180. The service you need seems to be good, but if you're like me and don't know much about cars, bring someone with you to stand up to their sales pitches. read more

Didn't do the oil change, found out a couple days later when I checked level, the tires weren't rotated I marked them. And the alignment didn't have the warranty I paid for. First off. I shopped around for a tune up on my car. 1st place $488- no thanks. 2nd place $399- uh. Nope. I called Firestone and talked to Daniel and he quoted me $150 over the phone. I was in desperation mode being that I needed to get on a long road trip by 5pm and only had $150 and still needed to get gas. He said $120 and let me save $30 for gas. My alternator stopped working about 30 miles from Indio on Sunday. I had to run off the battery. I was crossing my fingers that the car wouldn't die in the middle of nowhere. I was able to get my car to the Firestone garage just before the car died. It died right in the parking lot at 2pm. I explained my situation to Carlos that I was headed to Huntington Beach and needed to get back ASAP. He said he would start working on it right away. I didn't expect anyone to do that knowing I wouldn't be a repeat customer. Later that day he called confirming it was the alternator. He went ahead and ordered one for me. Monday morning they started working on it right away and got me back on the road by 10am. I can't thank Carlos enough. He was very personable and I think he went out of his way to help me. I was traveling from Phoenix with my son into California when our car began to smoke. Our vehicle had leaked out all of the oil. We drove to the nearest shop which thankfully was Firestone. They were extremely busy but still managed to check our vehicle right away. They provided excellent customer service and were very friendly. They went above and beyond to assist us. I have been using Firestone Indio since the beginning on 2014 for my basic automotive oil changes and safety inspections. They have done quality work, never missed pointing out a maintenance issue that needed to be addressed soon. Their shop is clean, quality products and qualified staff with certificates. The only reason I haven't given them 4 stars to date is I have never had any need for anything done above a basic service/safety inspection, although I am sure they are up for the job. They offer free coffee and Wi-Fi both of which I am a fan of!! read more

This place always has customers/is wrenching on peoples cars for a reason-because they are good at what they do. Their prices are usually lower than most but their customer service is whats phenominal which is why I wasn't comprehending as to why they don't have 5 stars. After talking with some returning customers during my wait time they said it's been under new management & "it's like a whole new store". Al (manager) was very professional, honest & even though I'm mechanically uninclined/disabled I was visually shown what the issues were, the way it was explained...I could grasp the general problems. I was able to determine what was needing immediate attention, what could wait & didnt feel like I do at other shops where all they try to do is upsale you. Service was speedy & even for vehicles that took longer (they had to wait on parts etc) I seen them personally take customers to drop off at their homes or wherever so they didnt have to wait for any extended time at the shop. My car runs so smooth now I am so happy! I will definently be back. read more

Worst service in Indio. These guys are just awful aren't willing to go the extra mile for u in anyway. Ive made an appointment twice and both times they ran a good 1/2 hour behind on getting my car onto the alignment rack so appointments are basically pointless. I had my car aligned here twice the first time they didn't even tighten the camber bolt on the passenger side they said it was who ever lowered the vehicle when they just literally "aligned the vehicle" so they had to loosen the camber bolts to do the alignment I didn't receive a print out and the alignment wasn't close to perfect as it could have been. read more

This place is awesome!!! They fixed my two blown trailer tires that made me stranded 15 minutes before they closed. I'll forever be great full for the helpful staff. They were extremely helpful and polite. I had visited multiple shops in this area searching for someone to help me, even had a door shoved closed in my face because I got there 2 minutes before they closed due to not knowing the area and taking to long to my to get there. So rude and just uncaring (Charly's Tire #3) AND they wouldn't even tell me where I could go instead!! Feeling so relieved right now though thanks to Firestone!!!! read more

Was in Palm Desert for Christmas...the rental car had a loose muffler, took it too two other locations, not open or could not help. Arrived at Firestone and they not only helped but took care of it immediately. The manager walked in, told the mechanic not to worry about it, he would look at it. AL had it brought to the bay, lifted up and reset the muffler, no charge, no hassle, complete good will. They wished us a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and said "no charge it was too easy and the right thing to do"...I challenge you to find this type of service someplace else. read more

Customer service reps and techs are slow and lie about wait times. 45 min has turned into 4 hours because they keep bouncing around to different jobs instead of just finishing the job. I have been using Firestone for all my Auto needs. Have have 4 different cars and truck. Today thou I took my 2010 pick up to tire service. Had an appointment at 8:30 and was told it would be around 2 hours. Had breakfast and went to a couple of stores. Showed up at around 10:30 and my pick up was still in the same spot I had left in the morning. I talked to Daniel the only manger on duty and was told that they had only one tire guy . That nobody else could do that job. I had asked him than what is an appointment for if your not gone keep it!! We than got in to a big shoutings match say that he was the only there and that he was not Jesus and could not perform miracles. Lol it even got to the point that one of the mechanics got in front of him to hold him back . I told I would call corporate and report him, it was like nothing to him. Still going to my truck this guy would not shut up, ranting and raving about the situation. I started my truck up lowered in the windows reversed and he was still talking and talking even as I drove away I could still hear him. This your Manger Firestone! Great job on that one. Went in for an oil change. The gentleman that helped me was a true professional. I regret forgetting his name but I do remember him telling me about his pups! The waiting area has nice AC. Firestone performed an inspection on my truck at which point he clearly communicated with me what they found. I choose what I wanted done and he even found a coupon for me! Thank you brother. Came in here for a second time to get an oil change, and when I got into my car to drive away my radio was blasting and the air conditioning was blasting. That in itself would not have been a big deal but the sunroof light came on too. Come to find out the technician broke my sunroof. He was inside my car messing with the programs, and he shouldn't have. I will NEVER be back to this location. read more

Liars and thieves. Went here for an uber inspection. They failed me because of my brakes which were changed not to long ago. The guy said Uber has strict policies and quoted me $200 for just the back brakes. I got them changed somewhere else for way cheaper and they said my brakes were like NEW. Made a 2nd appointment with David who never mentioned anything about having to bring the Uber inspection sheet. He tells me while I'm there and when I asked him why he didn't mention that when I made the appointment he said he didn't give a DAMN about Uber. They also took the relay cover off and now I have to spend $50 to replace it. Never coming here again. read more

Firestone Complete Auto Care in Indio, CA- Uber advertises them as a place to go for a free inspection. Then when I get there they told me it would be $19.99. I told them it is advertised on Uber as free. They said they don't do it for free. I said OK, as the only other place to go was two hours away, my fault, my fault, my fault. My new car with only 35,000 miles on it did not pass the inspection because the tires from the dealership which were brand new 35,000 miles ago, did not pass the tread depth prescribed by Uber. They then, funny enough at a tire shop run by a tire manufacturer, tried to sell me tires. I then took it to the dealership and asked them if they could do the Uber inspection form, they did, & it passed, and it was free. AMENDMENT- I have since edited this review as Firestone did contact me and then, after driving to them again, have refunded my $19.99. read more

I took my car with my wife to have it checked in October as it had a bad ticking sound. They did diagnostic's on my vehicle. They said it was this and that and that and was over 3,000.00 dollars. I said if it is for sure what the problem is and they said yes that their mechanic's are really good and it will take care of the problem. Well it did not take care of the problem and has been taken in a couple more times. Their mechanic's now say it is the valves, why did they not say that in the beginning? then they said when it need an oil change they will put a different oil, why not just change the oil and put the other oil they are talking about. Well I called Firestone on 1-27-2020 and I explained about the problem and that it is still ticking and also now had a burning smell. They said they would have the district manager call me the next day. I waited and waited the next day and no phone call. They are really bad mechanics and don't care about their customers and just want to rip them off. I called the main office for Firestone to file a complaint against the Indio shop and that I want them to remove the 3,000.00 dollars they charged as they did not fix the car and now has a burning smell in the front, and to fix the car correctly. They took the complaint and said the same person that was suppose to call yesterday will call me and I advised them that he didn't even call me yesterday. I was told he will call within 24 to 48 hours. They had a inspector come to check the car and I waited a month and they said they did nothing wrong, of course they would say that, they sent their people to check it and protected their company. They did not ever say take the car back so they can fix it correctly. It is a bad company and I will have to see what else I can due to have it fixed right. UPDATE: After months of waiting After the inspector checked the car and said it was the valves and also had a leak which they were suppose to fix. After all the complaints to different departments all the way to the top we did not get the problem taken care of, they said they found nothing wrong. The Manager just wants the money and not care about the customer. They are a rip-off and hope that nobody goes there for service. I guess next steep is the Attorney General read more

Well, as a business owner myself I'd have to say the service I received from David at Firestone was exellent. At the very least what my customers expect from me. I previously had purchased Dunlop tires there, Alenza models for my Ford Edge. They tout an 80,000 mile warranty with a very low DB sound level. I went to visit friends in Corona and when I returned the next day a friend noticed that there was a nail in my left rear tire. No problem, till I went to my local Firestone tire shop. They were quite busy when I showed late in the afternoon Wednesday and they inspected and immediately determined that the screw was in an unrepairable spot on the tire. David showed me the chart of repairable puncture areas on a tire. Mine wasn't there. OK then. Old school would have plugged it. I'm old school but I can't get recaps anymore either. David checked my tire warranties and arranged that I'd have a replacement by Friday in two days. Friday came, I showed for my replacement tire and I was in and out in under 30 minutes and thats with balancing on my special rims. I'm impressed. David and his crew rolled up their shirtsleeves and handled my auto care . I imagine they do the same with many other customers who don't do yelp. Their service bays were full and busy. I'm from the school that the car owner rolls up their own and perform some clerical and some mini-maintanence on their own then bring it to a servicer rather that crybaby. They cry when their facebook hasn't updated. They cry when they want to whore out their car to Uber. They cry when they don't believe the auto servicer has their safety and their own liability at the forefront.It seems everyone wants to pass the buck of mature responsibility. Unlike all of the negative, whiny comments, especially by these Uber drivers who drive for a corporation of liars, thieves and terrorists, my experience at Firestone in Indio was exceptional. My Wife and I have been taking her 2010 Camry there since 2012 and we have been treated nothing less than awesome, to the 100th degree. And my boy David!?! Nothing but helpful, with a plethora of knowledge, especially in tires. This afternoon around 16:00, my Wife and I brought her Camry in for new tires. My Wife thought her tires were bad and that's why her steering wheel rumbles when she stops. My Wife gets hysterical over the smallest issues. David checked the tread wear on the tires and concluded that she still has 4-5,000 miles left before she should bring it back in to change them out. Her Camry also sounds like a whale's mating call when she backed up. He mentioned because we live in a dusty and windy area, it might be dust and sand in in the rotors. He then said he knew why it was rumbling when she hit the breaks. He had his guys pull off all 4 tires, blew out the dust and sand off the rotors, check the front rotors, rotated all 4 tires, and by 19:30, we were out of there. No more rumble when we hit the brakes. They even took it out for a test drive to make sure all was good. Now, when we got there at 16:00, the bays were packed. Not to mention, there's a notice on the doors that reads that because the Techs are working in open bays and the Summer heat is crazy, the Techs may not work as fast as we, customers, would want them to. That's just a nicer way of telling us customers, to have some f'n patience. That means YOU, Phil B., getting work done on July 8th. Oh, and IF you have an Uber INSPECTION SHEET,common sense says maybe you should have that on you when you go to the ASE-Certified Technicians. And yes, Uber has strict policies. They want YOUR car do be a certain way and still shave off a certain percentage off of the work YOU put in. You know...like a Pimp does to Prostitutes. So if you're wondering about Firestone in Indio and all you innocently read are these bad reviews, especially about David, remember you're most likely reading a review from a customer who's not used to using common sense in life and just want stuff handed to them on a silver platter. If the bays look full and they're working on vehicles with the wheels and tires taken off, maybe the hoods are up, it's common sense to think that they're not going to just be a few minutes wait. Give them some time. Have them call you a cab or have a family member pick you up. Just whatever you do, don't go to Cactus Jack's to eat. It's a very expensive menu and the restaurant is stuck in 1988. Walk across the street to China Jo's and order Chicken Lo Mein. More food for less price. Oh and I forgot to mention, after everything that David and Jesus did for us, inspecting what they did, rotating what they rotated, my Wife had her brakes and tires still under warranty and we walked away not having to pay anything. So don't be influenced by cry babies. Firestone in Indio is the place to go. Thanks David (THE MANager) and Jesus (the Tech) for everything tonight. *****My one drawback at this location. Firestone's District Management needs to provide David with a new budget, to renovate the lounge area. Those chairs that they have out for the customers to lounge in are comfortable but old and dirty. There's nothing David and the crew can do to change that with simple soap and water. Firestone needs to allow him to get new furniture and a bigger, newer television. Also, some blinds would be nice too. Not to mention, control the fly situation. Too many flies and they don't give up, they bug the crap out of you when you're trying to lounge. The air conditioning would work a lot better if they had blinds, even if they were just sheer, roll-down blinds. And water. Provide some water, whether it'd be bottled water in a commercial fridge or a water fountain. It's Indio. We need cold water, especially when it's 122 degrees outside. read more

Our car broke down on the way to Murietta from Arizona. We were 30 minutes from Indio and it was 4:45pm on a Friday night. Our car finally got to Firestone (via tow truck) after they answered a frantic call from me and them assuring me that they could help us. We got it there just in time for them to close and Jason was SO HELPFUL! He was nice and reassuring and called several times the next day to update us on the progress of the car and the costs associated as they accumulated. They were running a special, we got $100 off our services, he discounted our labor fees and they were honest enough to tell us that our battery was under warranty (we had no idea). Jason was so sweet to us. Our 9 year old son said that he wished Jason lived in Arizona so that he could be our friend! We got our car back within 24 hours and made it safely home to Arizona with a new alternator, battery, and some other stuff I know nothing about. THANK YOU Firestone and Jason!!! read more
