I parked. Asked for just a basic conventional oil and filter change. I went up to the register, the guy didn't present any options and automatically selected the signature service he did not physically say "signature service" if he did I would have stopped him there. I have 6,000 miles on the car it's obvious it doesn't need that platinum oil stuff. Everything included for the signature service was not even needed all levels were ok. For the same price at the dealership I would-ve gotten all that plus a tire rotation and even a car wash. The reason I went here was to avoid that high cost so never coming back here. read more

Have used this place for a few years to do my oil change ... the last few times it has been more and more difficult to get it done ... the last few visits has taken long even when no one else is there.. I have been trying to get a filter changed last few visits because the mechanic hasn't been there or available ... Today I asked up front and was told he was and then waited 20 min ... After that the guy still didn't have my estimate which I never really asked for but again just became more of a wait gimmic I believe ... I had a really good experience at this Jiffy Lube that if I ever needed an oil change again while down in the desert I would definitely come back here. Even though I'm not a local I passed on the good word to my friends and I'm down here enough it's a good tip to have an emergency oil change spot if needed. Time got away from me and I found myself low on oil while traveling (I'm normally a stickler on changing my oil so I was thrown off to be in this situation with my car warnings on). I felt the stress of knowing I had many miles to drive while low on oil and looked for a local shop to get my oil changed. I'm a big fan of Jiffy Lube where I live and this location was convenient and had decent enough reviews. Decided to stop in around 5:15pm on a Friday evening. Pulled right up and was instantly greeted by Gerardo. He was friendly and I explained what I needed done. *To note: I'm a girl who knows 0 about cars and having to do anything car related gives me a stomach ache (insert Gwen Stefani song: I'm just a girl). Gerardo made me feel comfortable and seemed knowledgable, especially as he was super kind and polite when I mentioned the wrong kind of oil I thought went in my car. He didn't make me feel stupid and nicely corrected me making sure I got what I needed. I agreed to the price and honestly it was so nice because I was in and out in under 30 minutes. The inside was spacious and clean in the waiting area, nicer than my shop back home and cool inside despite the rising temperature outside. Great spot to wait but was glad they were really quick and not busy. The prices were reasonable and they honored my coupon no issues. Gerardo and the team made my experience A+ from start to finish. Filled with wrong amount of oil, 4wd spec in 2wd car. Also later discovered by Jiffy lube cathedral city that the air box was never hooked back up. Driving car home, had multiple violent stuttering into stalling. Called and "manager" couldn't have told me to go fly a kite any harder if he tried. This place is a total sham with no care for its customer. Cathedral City jiffy lube however was honest, corrected the problem and treated my vehicle with the respect any customer would hope. Shame on you Jiffy Lube La Quinta $225 bucks to screw someone's car up and then treat them poorly when they ask for a solution? read more

Dishonest or incompetent. I had my oil changed on my Prius here. Was told that my rear brakes needed new brake pads and rotors, was given an estimate of $480. I went to my trusted mechanic, Who is super safety conscious and quite conservative, and had him check my brakes. No, he said, I do not need new rear brake pads or rotors. I have at least six more months left on what I have now, he said. So, I'm just disappointed that these people at Jiffy Lube La Quinta gave me what appears to be incorrect/false information about whether I needed a rear brake job. Guys-- either get a better education so you can make a correct diagnosis, or, if you do know what you're doing, don't mislead your customers! read more

Asked for pricing for an oil change and radiator flush. Decided on the oil change only and said the flush is too much for now. My friend voiced his opinion on the price, but immediately lightened up, he expressed frustration, only. So as the oil change was in progress, four or five employees stood at the front all looking at the engine. About three days later the radiator hose has come off, leaked crap all over and then some. I stopped by the La Quinta Jiffy Lube yesterday as I have for the past few years to get an oil change service for my Chevy Tahoe. Once again, I was welcomed and pleasantly greeted by Assistant Manager Jesse. Assistant Manager Jesse immediately began servicing my vehicle, made a general inspection of the motor, the vehicle maintenance needs, and made some important recommendations without any pressure for me to get them done. Jesse was very professional and always addressed me with utmost respect. As my vehicle was being serviced, I noticed that Jiffy Lube took the time to vacuum and clean the windows of my vehicle, something I had never seen before. Jesse had my vehicle ready in about 20 minutes. Jesse also honored the discount coupon I received via email. You don't need an appointment either. I have taken all my cars including my 1956 Ford Fairlane for oil service to the La Quinta Jiffy Lube and will continue to do so for the great service I received. He is so sweet and made sure I understood what was being done to my car. I usually get nervous whenever I take my car to get repairs or tires done because I know nothing about cars and don't want to get ripped off but I NEVER have that feeling coming into the La Quinta Jiffy Lube. I brought my car in for an oil change and the manager was very rude to me. He told me to wait in my car and he would be right with me. I was the only customer, I asked them to check all the other fluids. But within 24 hours, my transmission fluid light came on. I called and talked to gerardo and he was very rude and wanted me to drive 60 miles back to get it topped off. All I wanted to know was could I go to the Jiffy lube in ontario. This is a great Jiffy Lube location. It was easy to find. When I arrived a gentleman pointed out where to park my car to be assisted next, within a few minutes my car was getting its oil changed. I noticed quite a few cars pulling up in line behind me, I would recommend the earlier you go the better especially since it's been hot out. They changed my oil, checked under the hood and tires. I was able to use a coupon from their website to save some money. When my car was finished they guided me out. It was a quick in and out, friendly service and the price was good. I went to Jiffy Lube this week for an oil change. What a great experience from the minute I walked in to the time I left. It took one half hour and my bill was actually much less than the estimate. Many functions were tested, windows cleaned, vacuuming inside and fluids checked and topped off, tires checked. I may not ever go to the dealer again after this great experience and I was back home really quick. read more

Pulled up in line today to get my oil changed and possibly new front brakes. There were two lines and I pulled behind a car already in line. A few minutes later a Jiffy Lube guy comes out shouting at me like a drill sargeant to back up and get into another line because a car was ahead of me. There was a car that was not in line parked in front of a do it yourself car wash that he said I cut in front of. How was I to know this car was in front of me. I did not cut anyone off! The guy was so mean that I moved as ordered and the. Went inside and asked him why he was so rude. I told him that there would have been a polite way to convey his message which would have included the words please and thank you. I asked him to give me a reason why I should stay and let them service my car and he said I could stay or go, it was my choice. Technician was Fabian, and I decided to go. Warning!!!! Beware!!!! Came in on 3/8/17 for an oil change. Walked out with $800.00 in damage to my Truck. Quality Inspection by A. Castro missed a red rag left under the hood. Oil Pan was ruined by Ian Nathan C. and or the Team Lead Rafael C. Check your oil pan, they used a universal plug to cover it up. It's sold at O'Reilly/Pep Boys which they have accounts with. I was there a few weeks ago. I was shown 2 filters by a female that "needed" to be replaced. I declined. When I sat down, they called an elderly woman up to the counter. This woman showed the elderly lady the same filters she had shown me and told her thru needed to be replaced. I didn't want to say anything at the time because I didn't want to be retaliated against. This is wrong. She should not be lying to cuisines or taking advantage of them. read more
