I had my daughter's car towed to this location. They called and said it was fixed and offered to do additional services - wiper blades, oil change , new tires . I agreed since the car was repaired. They called me the next day and said the car couldn't be repaired and that I would need to have it towed somewhere else. I was blown away. DECEITFUL is the best word to describe what occurred. Now we've spent over $700 on a car that does not run and has to be towed for another $300 to see if it can be repaired! I will never trust another Firestone AGAIN! read more

The first time I went there was a very nice gentleman there. That's why I went back the second. this time was different. The older guy wasn't there. Bad service. I will not go back for anything. Customer service wasn't the same. I felt uncomfortable and was told that I had to wait the next day. Even though I had an appointment. I was told that my tire had to be ordered because there was no place in Alabama that had the tire size that I needed. I didn't believe it so I called another Firestone, told them the size of my tire, and they told come in and they had it. I don't like being lied . My time is importent to me. He claimed that he made an appointment for , and when I called in to verify the appointment there was no appointment made. So I made another one, that's when I came in and was told that I had to come back the next day at 3 o'clock, because the tire had to be ordered and it wouldn't get there until between 12 and 3 PM. I won't bash anything except their customer service. Apparently Firestone is SO BUSY and backlogged that even their appointment system can't get you in and out for a single tire in a day. Granted...one tire sounds weird, but that's all I needed for a new vehicle (to me). Friday was for pricing. It was high, but that would make matched all of the tires and I would have been happy. At 2PM they couldn't get me out the door on the same day. I went home, thought about it, and made a reservation for Monday at 1. I arrived early, and reminded them of what I needed. As I gave them my key I mentioned they could cancel my 1PM appointment. They laughed under breath and told me they didn't have me for a 1PM appointment, but I could leave it with them and they would get it done maybe by tomorrow. One tire, ladies and gentlemen. I laughed back, took my keys, and went down the road to a place that is more customer oriented. Will I spend more? Yes because I want the tires to match. Will they be Firestone? I told the attendant that my car was leaking coolant BEFORE I took it in for complete auto care maintenance. When I picked up my car and paid the $531.20 service charge I was told, by the way, your car is leaking coolant and oil... you have to take it to the dealer. If you told me that before the appointment I would have gotten my complete service at the dealer. I will never patronize your establishment again. read more

Wife brought car to get oil and tire rotation after service was performed we noticed that the car was pull to the left we call and was told by one Firestone that it was caused by them changing the tire and they would fix it when given my information I came to find out that it was not the Firestone I took it to so when I proceed to calling the other Firestone to get this fix was told that it was not their problem and when I went to explain that the other Firestone told me it a common problem man then told me he was lying and that it was not their fault and he said that I would have to wait 3 week before he could see me if I wanted to return. read more

This is the best Firestone or indeed mechanic shop I have ever been to. Tim runs a good shop and his mechanics are outstanding. This is especially true of Stephen, high quality individual with incredible attention to detail. I truly appreciate the trust I can place in Tim and his staff. I was surprised to see this location had such a low score, but now I understand. I booked my appointment online and drove quite a ways to get there because I was going out of town the next day for a long driving trip. When I get there, there is a guy standing at the check-in stand. I told him I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. He said we do not have any appointments left. I said yes, please look again. He then asked my name, which I gave him, and he says, yes, I see you listed here. I said great! Then he tells me that I booked my appointment online, which I did, and he says, well, booking online is more of a request than an actual reservation and, we do not have time to do it today. I argued with him on how ridiculous that is, and that I really needed this done today because I'm leaving tomorrow. He couldn't give a rip. I have taken my cars to Firestone since we moved here in 2005. Started with just getting tires, which were excellent and they did a fabulous job each time. When we needed mechanics, they have taken good care of us being sure to let us know what's wrong and doing what they can to fix it at a reasonable price. I feel like the guys there are knowledgable for what they do. They don't do big fixes, which I wish they would remedy because at this point, they are the only ones in town that I trust. They've always done a great job and the 1 time that they didn't (with my son in law's car) they made it right...all the way in another city! I sure hope they keep it up. read more

My battery went dead as we were leaving a business next door to this location and the Firestone employee, that I didn't get his name, came out and jumped us off. He was very nice and didn't accept any payment and told us exactly what we needed to do to get a new battery since ours was still under warranty. I came in with my National Account car with 50k and original tires, one which had a sidewall gash. Tim had the car brought in and inspected. He reported back that the gash was merely cosmetic and we didn't need tires. It is refreshing to experience the level of professionalism and integrity that Tim displayed. My husband spoke with Lynn at the Firestone store at 8634 US HWY 72W, Madison, AL 35758 on Saturday, May 21st 2016 and received a quote from him to replace the spark plugs and spark plug wires on his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. The quote we received was "$195 out the door". I called this morning and scheduled an appointment for 2pm today, May 23rd, and confirmed the previous price quote. When I was at the store today they told me it would be an extra $70 for the spark plug wires because they weren't included in the previous quote. A classic case of bait and switch. ****UPDATE: After discussing our problem with the district manager, Firestone honored their original quote and we had the work completed at a different Firestone location and the work and service met our expectations. read more

I honestly feel bad for the owner ! The salesman was so rude and arrogant he made me want to cancel my account with Firestone and I have been doing business in Massachusetts with them for over 10years. I sent my son who is attending college in the area there to build a relationship and have a reliable place to maintain his vehicle. The first time he went in for a oil change asked for Mobile 1 was told it was unavailable and they put regular oil in a car that strictly calls for synthetic. Then he has run flat tires so he drove in on a partially inflated flat and was treated so bad I had to warn other parents and people about this place. He wouldn't even give me a timeframe as to when he would get to check the tire never mind fix it . Was not interested in helping was more interested in how he could be rude. read more

I had a screw in my tire and it was losing air pressure. I went to this location at 2:00 and explained the tire was losing air pressure and was told they couldn't get to me to fix it. They did not close until 6:00. So in 4 hours they could not repair a tire that was going to go flat and leave me stranded. I went on up University drive to Clem Tire and they too had several customers but took my car and had the tire repaired in about 15 minutes. Lucky for me there were other tires centers besides Firestone. Wow I won't be back. read more

I used to go to the Firestone on Weatherly but I moved, so I decided to take my car in for an oil change and tires rotated/balanced to the Firestone on 72. Boy, was that a mistake. For one, they told me I had a headlight out and quoted me $80 to fix it because they would "have to take the entire front end off of the car". Um, nope: you pop the hood and access to the lights is right inside. I'll get a bulb from Walmart for $10 and do it myself, thanks. What really got me though, was that three days later I had a completely flat tire (I'm not blaming Firestone for that) and when I went to check the other tires, I found that ALL of the nuts on the other three wheels were so loose I could unscrew them by hand. One was even missing. Needless to say, I was pretty freaked out about what could have happened and I guess it was a good thing that my tire went flat, otherwise I might not have found out that they didn't even tighten the nuts down until one of my wheels came off. If you value your life, don't take your car to this Firestone. If they can't even do something simple like tighten nuts down properly, who knows what they'd screw up with something more complicated. If you're going to go to a Firestone, do yourself a favor and make the drive down to Weatherly. Those guys are friendly and helpful and actually know what they're doing. read more

EPC light came on, called ahead to check if they service my make and model and they said yes. Took car in and waited for 2 hours for them to tell me they don't have the parts and I should take car to dealer instead. Complete waste of time and money. They are good only for tires, alignment and rotations, go somewhere else for all other repairs, definitely not "complete auto care". read more

I've done a lot of business with them over the years. I've also spent time in the waiting room listening to their transactions with other customers. The waiting area and service writers are all in one large area, so you can't help but hear transactions and I've yet to personally hear a complaint. One reviewer was put off by their telling him they didn't have his tire and wouldn't be able to plug it til the next day. I call b.s., I know from experience no retail chain stores plug tires, as for them not having his tire, they can't carry on hand every brand and size. Wonder if he had an appt or needed a flat repair right before closing with a smaller crew and vehicles already there...As for the guy with the EPC, if they couldn't fix it there it could only be because they found something else that only the dealer could fix. They've actually not done work for me because they alerted me that the repair needed was covered under a current recall. That doesn't sound like a business stressed or greedy enough to engage in 'bait and switch'. My wife's car was at the Airport location near her office when she had an issue, they told her to take it to the dealer....because it was still under warranty. I've got my tires there and lifetime alignment and rotations, it was the best price and well worth it. I travel A LOT, and I go to Firestone for the following reasons 1) they warranty their work 2) they only use new parts or certified refurbished and they let you know then that's an option 3) they won't do any work without asking me first, I've had shops do that before 4) all of their techs are trained and certified, 2 & 4 goes back to 1. And at any Firestone complete auto care they can pull up the history on all of my cars in the event I need a repair or tire replacement I feel like they've just about rebuilt my work vehicle over the years and I have no regrets, my entire family goes there. Why am I so fond of Firestone other than the reasons stated? Because it's nothing more stressful than having auto issues while out on work or vacations and not knowing who to take it to, I guess the only thing more stressful is if it happens to your family when they are out. I'm not a huge fan of credit cards but for peace of mind I got a Firestone card for my daughter at school and unlike other cards, she can only use this for repairs or product. read more

Replacing brake pads and rotors. Called ahead to get quote/appointment on my car, and make sure that they get needed parts including brake sensor. Came in next day as scheduled on time at 10:00 AM, after checked the brake, then they realized that they didn't have needed brake sensor, so that they had to order on the scene. It took them two and half hours to get the sensor, only 30minutes for the job. And, got charged more than quoted; what a waste of time and money. read more
