I waited in line for 45 minutes to hear from them that they are too busy to replace my flat tire. They told me I had to wait all day, otherwise go to another service shop after wasting all that time in the busy morning. I understand that they want to provide their best service to each one of their customers they are helping at the moment, and don't really mind having people wait in line. But they need to have some kind of system installed so that they don't waste people's valuable time. I wish they had told me earlier that they were too busy to help me so I could find other alternative rather than wasting an hour. read more

This shop services and takes care of two trucks and three cars for me and has always done good work and I have never had a problem.

The Service Advisor, Bryce Tsuneta, went above and beyond my expectations. I was in an unexpected situation when my tire went flat, the store was about to close and Bryce spent time with me to help me with my situation - he diagnosed that I actually needed new tires because there was a hole in one very little tread in the the others. He stayed late in the evening to get me set up for service the next morning. I also am a single mom with a child with special needs (Autism) and needed my vehicle to pick up my son the next day so I could get him to his therapy session. Bryce moved the schedule around, requested the tires be delivered earlier in the morning and delivered my car the next day at 11 am, earlier than anticipated. He was incredibly accommodating and was truly empathetic to my personal situation and did whatever he could to help me out. I am truly grateful and appreciative for his efforts! read more

2 years ago they nearly killed me from screwing up a rear brake job on a nearly new SUV. My tires locked up hard in the rain on PCH, and all kinds of nasty noises from my rear end. I had it towed there, and got chewed out by a really short manager , who said no way was it there fault, it was impossible. Turns out it was their fault, and an assistant manager came out and admitted that...someone stripped a thread reinstalling the rear calipers, so they fell off literally and were clamping down locking up my rear end. They supposedly repaired it, and I drove cross country for the rear brakes to keep stickin and locking up. I was treated like crap. The manager I contacted was friendly, and gave me a slight discount for the mistake, and I mean slight. If I had my girlfriend and kids in the car, and something happened when the rear end locked up like if I was high speed on 405 during the rain, folks could have been killed. Plus being lied to and chewed out by a little man complex manager, and then have the repair not even be corrected completly? Every time I drive by that place I want to puke and hope they get whats coming to them, that in tough times like this business dries up because the place is such a sham. read more

Sometimes the wait is long, but they are busy for a reason. I am very picky and fussy about my vehicles. I do all my own work except when I don't have the equipment (like tire mounting machines, balancing machines or alignment machines). I also know what I am looking for as I have done all this type of work, and they always do things the right way. When my wife goes in (we had some tread wear warranty issues) they took care of her very nicely. Tire prices tend to be as good, or better than any other local shops. read more

David Mompher is the service manager their and he took great care of me. He listened to me as I explained what I have been dealing with and he took the time to educate me on why this happened. TIRES are a tough business, but this place tries and you can tell they try to uphold the Firestone brand image / name. It is not cheap. Similar to Goodyear, you will pay more for the name, service, location but there is obviously a corporate mandate to do the best you can for a customer. I came in near closing time with a leaking tire on my Mercedes and they fixed it, no problem. Tires are a bit pricy, this location is very busy and not much parking, but so far, not bad. If you buy cheap tires, you will have issues, not a matter of if, but when. I'm not saying you have to buy Firestone or their best tire, but that is all that is between you and the road. Don't buy the cheapest. read more

These guys tried to tell my wife she needed 2 new tires. All the tire needed was a patch. They said it couldn't be patched. This was not true. I have been a loyal customer of Firestone Manhattan Beach for over 30 years. I've been in over 200+ times for new tires, routine maintenance, and large repairs. Back when Greg was the manager, they were fantastic. But lately there is new management and the service has really gone downhill. Employee turnover is rampant and they always seem short staffed. Today I brought my car in for a tire rotation. They had the car all day and by quitting time they had done nothing. And this isn't an isolated incident. They are chronically understaffed and routinely promise way more than they can deliver. Sorry to say, but I'm done with these guys. read more

I can't say enough how great this place is! My daughter needed a need battery in her car and I wasn't sure where to take it. I checked Yelp and saw this place had good reviews and gave them a call. Sure enough they had the battery and we brought her car in. The parking lot looked really full but we were helped right away by the manager. He got since service guy working on our car right away. I barely got a chance to set down and he said they were done! My daughter then mentioned something about her cooling system check light came on and they went right back to the car and found the fluid levels a bit low. They also filled up the washer and mentioned that a running light was out on one side. The service manager quickly popped it out and replaced it. I was astonished by the wonderful service and told them I would always bring her car here. Seriously this is the best car care place with the best service anywhere! read more

i've always been meaning to get around to writing this review and since im sick at home i have time to do nothing but lay in bed and bang away on on a keyboard. anyway - about 3 or 4 months ago i was driving around in suburban neighborhood but my wheel fell off... no joke - it just fell off - i didn't hit a curb or anything. now if i'd been driving on the highway i'd be in deep crap but lucky my wheel fell off while i was going about 15-20 mphs. so i call geico and make a LONG story short - neither geico car inspector nor the auto body shop have ever heard of a wheel but still connected to the axel just coming off. (or something like that - it was a car mumbo jumbo). so they were convinced i had hit something or something hit me and i was hiding something but after numerous inspections of the joints and et cetera they were finally convinced i did not hit anything nor did anything hit me (1 mechanic dude explained the scientific behind it - for example shredding patterns on a bolt and et cetera if i were hit and blah blah blah which all that stuff was all missing). so the geico claims person and the meachnics said the only other option is i must've had a service done poorly on my car (such as a tire replacement and wheel alignment where they actually mess with your undercarriage) and i was like - OMFG - i had my service done at this firestone for tires and wheel alignment - i have NEVER in my ENTIRE life had my wheel fall off and dragged along till i had service done at this place. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! read more

I had all four of my tires replaced after getting a flat from America's Tires in Torrance and after I drove off, my error light came on saying check tire pressure. One of the back tires was way too low. I spent so much money getting all four tires done you'd think they would at least check the tire pressure before giving me back my car. They (America's Tires) were closed Sundays so I called Firestone and David was super awesome and told me to come by so they could take a look. In two minutes he corrected the tire pressure and the error message was gone! David and Firestone are wonderful! read more

I thought I'd already written this review. I have a Honda Civic and it needed maintenance. I needed all the fluids changed; my last oil change was at the dealer because of a coupon and the fluids were something they flagged. I scheduled everything online and actually even canceled the original appointment because I was busy. Everyone was super nice and professional. I'm on crutches and everyone made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be. They explained how long I'd be waiting and offered to drop me off, and, after I declined, asked me to let them know if I changed my mind and wanted them to drop me off. Everyone on the team was super customer oriented. I've never seen such pleasant stuff in an auto repair shop. Even the techs asked me if I needed water or coffee as they dropped off finished car keys. I'm definitely coming back the next time I need maintenance. read more

I was in trouble!! My back tire blew out and I was literally driving on the rim. I pulled into the closest place on Sepulveda which happened to be Firestone. I thought, OK I'm just gonna get them to patch the tire and I can be on my way. I didn't want, nor did I have the time, to be "upsold" by anyone. Sam, the Firestone Rep, spent a long time going over all my options, never pushing me to buy anything, even offered to put air in my tire for me to get to another tire place. He was super knowledgeable, took the time to explain things to me, showed me the cracks in my 5 year old tires, and gave me enough options so that I didn't feel trapped by circumstance. I ended up purchasing two new back tires, got an awesome deal (40% off), they checked all my other fluids and incidentals, and Sam even took me all the way back to my office so that I didn't have to sit around and wait at Firestone for my car to be done. These guys do not work on commission, and it was an amazing experience to be dealt with honestly and without pressure. Having used Firestone Service Centers for many years I recommended my daughter do the same when she moved to Manhattan Beach. They have always been fair in dealing with her and have become the go to place when she needed service. Fast forward to yesterday.... I'm visiting for a while and when her car needed an oil change, I volunteered to take it over to Firestone for the job. While there I had them check out the car's tires, brakes, etc. One tire was badly worn and the brakes while not, dangerously bad, would need work soon. I "bought" the lifetime alignment, something I've pal ways had on my cars, ordered a new tire, and, as Long as I was there had them do the brakes. My hour and a half oil change suddenly turned into a four and a half marathon. Since I was the only one in the air conditioned waiting room (it was HOT outside) Patricia, a pleasant young lady running the office, gave me the TV remote and offered me a drink. Sorry, nothing stronger than a Diet Coke.... Toward the end of the ordeal, she offered me dinner from Panda Express (she was getting some for her staff). The food was horrible... Not her fault. Finally the job was done... Almost. A Michelin tire had to be ordered, so I left with a new Firestone instead. Sam, the service manager, insured me the proper tire will be installed Monday. In short, I was happy the way I was treated. Sam and Patricia made sure (I think) that I got the best deal w/o having coupons. My daughter will be returning. read more

They do a good job but i have been here twice and will never go again. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt (when I paid them crazy money to replace 2 tires) but not twice. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF. Go there if you're cool with paying (for example) $200.- to have 4 spark plugs fitted. The mechanic confirmed it was a 5 minute job but apparently they can't charge for less that an hour's labor. Good if you gan get it. I would recommend not giving it. read more

I brought my car here based upon the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier that I did. I've brought it in several more times since then for services ranging from tires and oil service to brakes and faulty sensors. We ran over a ladder on the freeway and it totally thrashed out tire and then a few minutes after getting back on the road after putting the spare on a rock hit our window and cracked it. We were traveling in So Cal and had a terrible rubbing noise in the front brake caliper of the Acura. We needed to leave town Friday morning after Thanksgiving. I drove into the Firestone Tire store and talked to the manager about the problem. The store was busy, but he said they would take a look when a lift was available. In about 15 minutes a tech put on the rack, pulled the wheel and found something stuck in the caliper. He pulled the rotor and removed what looked like wood chips. He put it all back together and put air in the tires. Problem solved. And I was in and out and on the road in about 45 minutes. Really saved our weekend. I can't thank you enough. I have been to this Firestone on several occasions,,,,they are always helpful, efficient and honest,,,typically I will call ahead for tires or other services before bringing my car down there, they have always got my cars done in a timely way. I believe the only time anyone post something on these sites is when they fail to take responsiblity for how poor they have taken care of their vehicles and choose to blame the repair facility rather then themselves. I have read all these reviews and have come to the conclusion that if you are happy with who repairs your car you tell others by word of mouth and if you are not you simply don't go back. I have been doing business with the Firestone in Manhattan Beach for over 15 years and they have always been fair and honest with me. I trust them over anyone in the South Bay. This place is always busy, but they always have time for me, weather if its putting air in my tires or quick replacement of a battery, they are the place to go.
