I purchased a lifetime alignment from this shop and only 1 thing I have issue with: My car is immaculate, not a scratch or dimple in the skin. I turn in my car to the shop for a recheck of my alignment and I get the car back with the spoiler on my Prius scratched/chipped (the very edge of the wing spoiler). I go back and forth with the manager of the shop and he denies anything happened. My recommendation is that you watch your car like a hawk while it's being serviced, if you care about your car in any way. New manager of the store was probably the nicest person I've ever met. His attitude and energy was great and helpful even before closing. Trustworthy my ass and to top it off i called in to make sure it wouldn't take long for them to change out my battery I knew was wrong when I got there roughly around 1:20ish I told them what was wrong again I asked how long will it take them to change that out they said 90 mins or less I just wanted to know because I had somewhere to be I didn't leave there tell 4. 2 and a half hours for them to swap battery's when the battery was under warranty by them. We put our trust on auto service centers, and the last thing I see customers do is inspect there vehicle when they pick it up. I'm Guilty of it. I took my 2011 F150 for an oil change. Fast forward 3 months my engine starts knocking. Now it did display signs of a problem happening. The vehicle turned off a few times and the warning low oil pressure would be displayed. Of course I google it and it would say it was a problem with the oil pressure safety switch (believe that's what it's called) never did it occur to me to check my vehicle for how much oil was on it. After 2 days I took it to ford of Upland. Where the bad news was given to me that it was catastrophic engine failure. Vehicle had under 5 qts of oil (it takes 8, no history of oil leaks or burning oil etc. I chose not to fix it. Did some research and of course I was SOL. My friend Darlene went into this place for a brake change on her Mini Cooper S. walked out of there the bill was $1,300.00. The total cost of the parts is Front Brakes were $54.00 the good ones. Back Brakes $54.00 the good ones. Rotors for front $50 X 2 = $100. Rotors for the Back $33 X 2 = $66. Brake Sensors for all four were $48.00 . $322 + tax. its a ripoff. read more

I don't like to rant on any business but this one deserves this. I took my car for a complete brake job. I had an appointment at 12 noon. I arrived at 11:45 to do the paper work. It took them 5 hours to do the brakes which should have been a one hour job. Then the first week the brakes started to scream at all stops. Called made another appointment to replace cracked brake pads/ what the f¥#%. This time 3 hours to replace the front pads on the way home every stop screaming brakes. I called and Anthony the guy who helped all three times told me it takes 500 miles to break in brakes to stop the screaming brakes. What a line of shit! I had factory brakes for 50,000 miles and not one squeak. Still not fixed. I will never go here again. Each time I tried to get it fixed they say I brake to hard. I am retired and only drive to do shopping and doctors. I did a corporate complaint and no one has responded. $490 waisted. Thanks Firestone.... Tire shops like Firestone and Goodyear are only as good as the mechanics and managers at the time you go. So of course there are good times and bad. Unfortunately more bad. They spend more time trying to up-sell products you probably don't need than doing what you ask . The special discount coupons obviously are just to get you in the door. Well I decided to try the Montclair CA store. I came in at 7am asked for a new battery, wheel alignment and oil change. The Manager Rafael Avila was friendly and professional. So far so good. The work was completed in a timely manner as I did not have an appointment. I felt pretty good about the experience even asking for his business card so I can work with him again in the future. I'm handed my keys and say thank you . I get to my truck which I keep meticulously clean and I see grease marks on the drivers and passenger seat as well as on the center console. I went back the the Manager to ask why they did not put plastic protection. He first apologized for it but when he couldn't remove all the grease marks he denied his employees caused it and walked away. He is the one who pulled the car in and inspected it before work was done. So much for a good experience. I immediately went home and spent 30 minutes cleaning. This could easily have been a five star review but his attitude at the end changed my whole impression of the visit. read more

I tried to do a walk In but they said the wait time was 2 hours and if I made an appointment for the next day it wouldn't be such a long wait time. They charged my daughter $187 for wiper fluid when all she needed was a regular maintenance. on top of that the fluid tank has been broken and wasn't even addressed by the mechanic so the fluid just spilled out. this is very unprofessional on firestone to hire mechanics that take advantage of customer who trust them. i would advise never coming here for a reliable diagnosis on any car. on a side note i was able to go in there myself and get the money back. the mechanic looked like he defecated his pants as soon as i confronted him on the issue and obviously gave me everything my daughter originally paid and then some. read more

Set an appointment to get an alignment at 11 AM. It took over 2 hours to get my car back, with an appointment, but I get things happen and they get backed up. Alignment came out fine, this review is solely for the guy with the stupid mustache checking ppl in. He has no idea what he is doing. He does not read the reservation instructions. I asked for an alignment and tire balancing. I waited over 2 hours for my alignment to find out they only did an alignment. It would have been convenient for me to remind them when I checked the car in, however I didn't think I needed to hold their hand to complete their job properly, when the reservation notes are easily visible to him. He then quoted me another 1-2 hours to get my tires balanced when he admitted they missed it. He uses the excuse of "under promising and overdelivering" when quoting ppl times. That is fine if you are within 15-30 mins, he misquoted and pissed off the lady that checked in before me by over 2 hours! Supposedly he use to be a manager and elected to step down. This guy has no clue what he is doing he attempts to be smooth and tries to use deflection and small talk to disguise his lack of knowledge and to not properly address client concerns. On top of this the guy could care less abt his job. When clients complain he dismisses their concern and attempts to change the subject (witnessed this with the lady checking in before me). When he is not doing that he is in the bay hanging out with the techs not paying attention to the lobby. As typical with Firestone in the last six months (all Firestones it seems), you're happy when you walk out the door but once you get an hour to two weeks away everything they've done goes to heck. I was very glad to have been taken care of faster than they estimated. However I get into the canyon about 85 miles away and the plug they put in my Firestone tire is leaking. So now I have a flat and I am waiting on my Insurance company roadside assistance. Unfortunately this is just another instance where Firestone is too fast to get things done and not doing them properly. I've had the same issue with my a/c that cost over $800 at a different location and now the switch is out again. I've been here almost a dozen times now and have never had an issue. Good and cheap place for an oil change. Bring in a coupon and get an oil change and tire rotation for $25. Average wait time for an oil change is around 45 minutes. They double check the filter attachment to make certain that you don't leave with leaking oil. * Summary* I paid $1000 to have my car serviced for overheating at Firestone Montclair. After driving my car 30 miles, my car was leaking with fluid and over heating within the same day of service. **Full Review** I brought my car in to Firestone Montclair because it was overheating. I was told that I would have to pay $70 to have my "car diagnosed". (This amount would not go to any services or repairs). I agreed to pay to have my car diagnosed. Within 3 hours, I received a call back with an estimation quote and diagnoses. The cost to fix my car was $1000. The technician recommended that I replace my radiator, thermostat, do a coolant exchange, and change the hose in my car. Although this was a hefty bill, I agreed to have everything done.   Montclair Firestone kept my car for 2 days. Once the car, was complete I received a call to inform me that my car was done being serviced.  I picked up my car at 4:45pm and drove it roughly 20 miles to my home.  When I parked the car there, was fluid leaking from my car. I never had this issue prior to getting my car "fixed" by Firestone. But I didn't read into it because I thought oh maybe that's from the air conditioner. Later that evening, I drove the car another 10 miles. My car started overheating. When I pulled over, there was fluid leaking from the bottom of my car again. At this point, it was 8:45 pm and I could not drive my car because it was overheating. I called AAA to tow my car back to the shop in Montclair.   The next morning at 7:10am, I received a call from Rafael the store manager at Firestone. He called and said "We saw that your car was parked outside and we found your key. I went ahead and started your car, I see that the temperature on your car is rising. Did you bring the car back because it is still overheating?"   Yes!?! I did...... I paid you all $1000 to fix my car for overheating...I had my car for a total of 4 hours... I drove my car a total of 30 miles... I used an AAA tow.... I took a Lyft to work this morning... I now have a car that leaks fluid... and guess what I can't drive my car because it is STILL overheating.....   I'm patiently waiting for Rafael the manager to give me an update on my car.... Because his claim this morning was "We will take a look at it maybe there was a faulty thermostat installed."     **Update**   I was informed by Rafael at 9:30am, that the radiator and hose were installed to close to the belt. Thus, while driving my car the belt wore through the radiator hose. This would explain why my car is leaking. Rafael agreed to replace the hose free of charge. I requested that Firestone run test to make sure that my engine was still intact and my head gasket was still working. Rafael agreed to complete a block test and second diagnostics test.   While I do appreciate the transparency, it's very annoying that the service I paid for was not done correctly.   Review to be continued... read more

This is the WORST place to have your car serviced. The people that work @ the "sales" stations are big time SWINDLERS! They totally lied to me. I quickly got my car and left. First, I was told that my tire (which had a nail in it) was irrepairable. The guy that LIED to me is not a good liar because he averted his eyes and looked away as he was lying! Then they tried to scare me and say my tire was going to fall off if I didn't get some stupid part, BS! I took my car to my mechanic today and he totally repaired the punctured tire and replaced my struts on the cheap. The Firestone people give mechanics a bad name! I see that HUGO NAVARRO is sitting in the break-room with other employees (The break-room door is wide open) I stand there a good 30-40 seconds before being noticed. Before I could get a word out. HUGO NAVARRO says, we won't use your filter (my filter is in my hand). I couldn't believe HUGO NAVARRO refused to install my own filter (which I have done, previously as usual w/o problems) then HUGO NAVARRO refused to put in the type of oil blend I wanted for my automobile. Then when I asked for Firestone corporate office contact number, HUGO NAVARRO refused to give it me. I was so flabbergasted by this "grease-monkey's" customer service skills!!! Before we brought the car into Firestone, the car drove great. Our Mercedes has amazing suspension and no problems other than needing common regular maintenance items, such as new tires and brakes. Here's a rundown of our recent experience at Firestone in Montclair, CA. * Took my husband's car to Firestone for new tires and brakes ($1800) * Went to pick up the car after brakes & tires were installed, could not drive it home. Entire car was leaning down to the front left, wheel nearly touching the wheel well. * Front left suspension was fully blown. Inspected it myself & took pics to share with my husband (since it was his car & his money). Clearly a FRESH rupture. No dirt or debris stuck on the "leak" that pointed out to me, which was running down the shaft of the shock. Even a light layer of dust or dirt could indicate prior damage or prior leaking, but the black grease was clean and fresh. * Manager was kind & very apologetic to me. Offered to only charge me his cost to replace the shock, but by the next day, when my husband called to have the situation resolved, he was unwilling/unable to rectify the situation and had us deal with corporate instead. * Not being drivable, the car sat there, at or in their Montclair location for 13 days while we continuously tried to get Firestone and their corporate offices to help rectify the damage, which Firestone estimated to fix it for around $1700. Paying $1700 for them to replace a part that was broken in their care was not acceptable. * Being slammed down on the front left, completely leaning down, the car was to be kept safe inside their bay until corporate decided what to do. We stopped by & discovered our car outside, UNLOCKED, and with the window DOWN during RAINY weather. * Firestone/Bridgestone was not helpful, even with us calling and emailing, reminding them that our car is in their bay and UNABLE to be used for transportation as we pay our $700 monthly car payment, we still could not get an effort to assist or rectify. * Needing our car back to get to and from work, we finally just had to have the car towed to our dealership to have them fix it. Once it was at our dealership (13 days after sitting at firestone), Firestone's inspector finally contacted us & said he needed to inspect it. Relieved to finally get an active response from corporate, we allowed him to inspect it at the Mercedes dealership. The inspector declared that the shock was faulty & had ruptured and didn't find his company...who hired him...at fault. Mercedes' inspection was not consistent with these findings. The car was in for a routine "service B" less than a month before taking it to Firestone. There was nothing found wrong with that shock. No leak, no rupture. To summarize, be extremely cautious about "drive-through", large corporation service places. Technicians tend to cut corners...especially when their company doesn't enforce higher standards, including a higher standard or quality of training and delivery of the work they provide. A colleague of mine who trains mechanics for a living said that these ruptures happen when the car is not placed on the lift correctly or when the air suspension is not disengaged prior to being put on the lift. Simple, proper protocol should have kept our shock from rupturing. Mistakes can happen but their company should do the right thing and fix their mistakes and be more accomodating. That is why we don't recommend you taking your business to Firestone/Bridgestone. read more

This time, I went in and had the misfortune of working with Rafael, who is the manager but was condescending and rude to me. This happened after I had made an appointment the day before, rushed in, and was told they didn't have room for me and to come back the next day.
