The people at this Firestone are rockstars!! Especially the store front guy Stephen and his Manager Nolan. I called and explained about a horrible experience I had with the Firestone in North Hollywood. They said to come down and they'll take care of me. And boy were they not lying. Made me an appointment on the spot, their best mechanic performed a full inspection on my truck, rotated my tires, reviewed and explained to me EXACTLY what my truck needs maintenance wise. All this for a minimal to no charge unlike the sleazy guys in Hollywood who charged me 20 bucks and did a very crappy inspection. Trust if you need to take you're vehicle anywhere bring it to Firestone in Montclair, and specifically request Stephen to help you. You won't regret the experience, I know I don't! :) read more

I purchased a lifetime alignment from this shop and only 1 thing I have issue with: My car is immaculate, not a scratch or dimple in the skin. I turn in my car to the shop for a recheck of my alignment and I get the car back with the spoiler on my Prius scratched/chipped (the very edge of the wing spoiler). I go back and forth with the manager of the shop and he denies anything happened. My recommendation is that you watch your car like a hawk while it's being serviced, if you care about your car in any way. As for the work performed, I set my car up on a lift and the mechanics do good work, everything was re-tightened perfectly. read more

This is a weird review. Because the main reason I give them 2 stars is I just DO NOT trust them. Not a little bit. But here are some facts and a circumstantial case that warrant two stars. -I came in for a six month service. The technician (clerk) looked at me like I was an alien. Like he had never heard the term. I said "every auto shop offers a set of 6 month services." He rolled his eyes and petulantly said "WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT?" I was out. And I was a long time customer. I only ever went as they are open on weekends and pretty fast. But when I found a tire and muffler place in Chino with better service I was stunned at how much Firestone overcharges. I've had more than one repair there needing return. Circumstantially I had a window crack leading below the hood right exactly above the cabin air filter. They were the only ones who had been near there when they replaced it. Do not go. I brought my Nissan Frontier in for maintenance. Check Break inspection , Oil Changes . I want to all the things need keeping mind my truck has 250,000 miles on it is a 2004. After calling and telling me what was recommended I said yes. When Michael call he inform me that I don't need another power steering hose the current one it in good shape. Money was stolen out of my car that's freakin bullshit never left a bad review but this is just bullshit never coming to this fire stone again. Trustworthy my ass and to top it off i called in to make sure it wouldn't take long for them to change out my battery I knew was wrong when I got there roughly around 1:20ish I told them what was wrong again I asked how long will it take them to change that out they said 90 mins or less I just wanted to know because I had somewhere to be I didn't leave there tell 4. 2 and a half hours for them to swap battery's when the battery was under warranty by them. And 3rd they said they where going to do a courtesy check which usually is tire pressure and all the basic checks right ? I've posted two pictures. Never again coming to this firestone. read more

We put our trust on auto service centers, and the last thing I see customers do is inspect there vehicle when they pick it up. I'm Guilty of it. I took my 2011 F150 for an oil change. Fast forward 3 months my engine starts knocking. Now it did display signs of a problem happening. The vehicle turned off a few times and the warning low oil pressure would be displayed. Of course I google it and it would say it was a problem with the oil pressure safety switch (believe that's what it's called) never did it occur to me to check my vehicle for how much oil was on it. After 2 days I took it to ford of Upland. Where the bad news was given to me that it was catastrophic engine failure. Vehicle had under 5 qts of oil (it takes 8, no history of oil leaks or burning oil etc. I chose not to fix it. Did some research and of course I was SOL. CONSUMERS the only person having the best interest for your vehicle is you. As a reminder inspect your vehicle don't do the same mistake I did. No matter where you get it serviced. I made an appointment for a battery test and flat tire repair. I was a little late to my appointment and service was done within and hour or less. New manager of the store was probably the nicest person I've ever met. His attitude and energy was great and helpful even before closing. He even gifted me cleaning supplies since he noticed how clean I like to keep my car. Definitely deserves a 5 star. Everyone should come by and get service at this store! read more

I dont understand the bad rep these guys are getting. Just brought my husband's truck here and these guys have went above and beyond for us. They even stayed past their closing time to make sure the brakes were safe and clean. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. My friend Darlene went into this place for a brake change on her Mini Cooper S. walked out of there the bill was $1,300.00. The total cost of the parts is Front Brakes were $54.00 the good ones. Back Brakes $54.00 the good ones. Rotors for front $50 X 2 = $100. Rotors for the Back $33 X 2 = $66. Brake Sensors for all four were $48.00 . $322 + tax. its a ripoff. read more

I don't like to rant on any business but this one deserves this. I took my car for a complete brake job. I had an appointment at 12 noon. I arrived at 11:45 to do the paper work. It took them 5 hours to do the brakes which should have been a one hour job. Then the first week the brakes started to scream at all stops. Called made another appointment to replace cracked brake pads/ what the f¥#%. This time 3 hours to replace the front pads on the way home every stop screaming brakes. I called and Anthony the guy who helped all three times told me it takes 500 miles to break in brakes to stop the screaming brakes. What a line of shit! I had factory brakes for 50,000 miles and not one squeak. Still not fixed. I will never go here again. Each time I tried to get it fixed they say I brake to hard. I am retired and only drive to do shopping and doctors. I did a corporate complaint and no one has responded. $490 waisted. Thanks Firestone.... I took the car back and went to another Firestone in Studio City and they did the job for $200. I took my car last week,and my husband working truck to get some work done, Rafael helped us, and did a wonderful job.

Walked in 30 minutes before they closed and Rafael was still nice enough to take my car in for its service! This is my second time at this particular Firestone location and everyone has always been really nice, and also my car always runs really smoothly after its service. Tire shops like Firestone and Goodyear are only as good as the mechanics and managers at the time you go. So of course there are good times and bad. Unfortunately more bad. They spend more time trying to up-sell products you probably don't need than doing what you ask . The special discount coupons obviously are just to get you in the door. Well I decided to try the Montclair CA store. I came in at 7am asked for a new battery, wheel alignment and oil change. The Manager Rafael Avila was friendly and professional. So far so good. The work was completed in a timely manner as I did not have an appointment. I felt pretty good about the experience even asking for his business card so I can work with him again in the future. I'm handed my keys and say thank you . I get to my truck which I keep meticulously clean and I see grease marks on the drivers and passenger seat as well as on the center console. I went back the the Manager to ask why they did not put plastic protection. He first apologized for it but when he couldn't remove all the grease marks he denied his employees caused it and walked away. He is the one who pulled the car in and inspected it before work was done. So much for a good experience. I immediately went home and spent 30 minutes cleaning. This could easily have been a five star review but his attitude at the end changed my whole impression of the visit. read more

I tried to do a walk In but they said the wait time was 2 hours and if I made an appointment for the next day it wouldn't be such a long wait time. Showed up the next day about 15min before my scheduled appointment and there was one persons car already being worked on so decided to stay while they did my oil change because I didn't think it would take that long...it seriously took 3 hours to do the change on a weekday. Got a flat tire on my way to work at 6:00 AM, i was in such a bad mood because no one ever wants to have to deal with that so early in the morning when you have somewhere to be. I called first and was greeted in such a nice manner by a technician named Leo. When i came in i was able to meet Leo and he put me at ease giving me very good information about what work will need to be done. They charged my daughter $187 for wiper fluid when all she needed was a regular maintenance. on top of that the fluid tank has been broken and wasn't even addressed by the mechanic so the fluid just spilled out. this is very unprofessional on firestone to hire mechanics that take advantage of customer who trust them. i would advise never coming here for a reliable diagnosis on any car. on a side note i was able to go in there myself and get the money back. the mechanic looked like he defecated his pants as soon as i confronted him on the issue and obviously gave me everything my daughter originally paid and then some. read more

I've been here almost a dozen times now and have never had an issue. Good and cheap place for an oil change. Bring in a coupon and get an oil change and tire rotation for $25. Average wait time for an oil change is around 45 minutes. They double check the filter attachment to make certain that you don't leave with leaking oil. This is the WORST place to have your car serviced. The people that work @ the "sales" stations are big time SWINDLERS! They totally lied to me. I quickly got my car and left. First, I was told that my tire (which had a nail in it) was irrepairable. The guy that LIED to me is not a good liar because he averted his eyes and looked away as he was lying! Then they tried to scare me and say my tire was going to fall off if I didn't get some stupid part, BS! I took my car to my mechanic today and he totally repaired the punctured tire and replaced my struts on the cheap. The Firestone people give mechanics a bad name! As typical with Firestone in the last six months (all Firestones it seems), you're happy when you walk out the door but once you get an hour to two weeks away everything they've done goes to heck. I was very glad to have been taken care of faster than they estimated. However I get into the canyon about 85 miles away and the plug they put in my Firestone tire is leaking. So now I have a flat and I am waiting on my Insurance company roadside assistance. Unfortunately this is just another instance where Firestone is too fast to get things done and not doing them properly. I've had the same issue with my a/c that cost over $800 at a different location and now the switch is out again. The worst changing tires experience ever!!! I would give ZERO stars if that would be possible. That place is insane with such a horrible service! I had to wait over FOUR hours for them change two tires!!! The guys working there are so slooow! It is just unbelievable! You will feel like watching slow motion movie! I have been coming here for the past three years. YES...the staff "in charge" over the past year have not been great BUT...there is a new manager there and she is really good. MIKE was my mechanic...tall guy with a mustache...knew cars well but I'm told he moved away with his family. Seems to be all new faces....still one or two guys there that I never really liked but with this new manager there I will certainly return to the location. People, this is the place to go for an oil change...never had a problem and there is a 10.00 off coupon that can be downloaded, printed and brought in the store every month. Sure...you could go to Joe schmo down the block and get your work done SLIGHTLY (and I mean slightly, if at all) cheaper but work is guaranteed here. With the recent change in management, I wouldn't trust this place. When I asked a question regarding something I didn't understand, he spoke condescendingly to me. When I asked to look into turning off my brake light, he responded you should take it back to where you got your brakes done. I replied "no, I askin you to do it for me. I take my car to be serviced there regularly. When I received my car after requesting oil change, rotate tires, alignment. This is the response I got. No comment on any completed services when I checked out. They failed to mention the my car was leaking tons of oil and that they actually did rotate my tires. I asked them did alignment need to be done and they replied, ah, and did know what to say. Left side okay and Right needed little adjusting. My car still pulls to the right. I don't think they did anything to my car. When I called them the next day, they said oh well doesn't your regular mechanic that did your brakes tell you those things? OMG!! Mostly I'm upset about not being told about tons of oil leaking out under my car onto the engine body. Just plain careless. This place was very convenient for me but I'll never go to this one again. Worst Bathroom in Montclair! I know, I know. What does having a horribly disgusting bathroom have to do with tires? Allot. Customers (like me) have to wait sometimes a few hours to get their car maintenance. And it's pretty shocking walking into a bathroom that not only looks like it hasn't been deep cleaned in years but has the smell of a rotting dead animal. Thick filth cover the floors and walls. The floor is sticky. The Toilet paper dispenser is broken and laying on the floor. Soap and dirt residue streaked down the walls. The toilet is rimmed with months worth of residual butt grim. How can anyone walk into this tire store and feel like the Firestone Company provides the very best product if they cant even clean their Public Bathroom? I'm giving them a rating of 2 stars because overall the experience I had with Rep. Frank was good. But despite his attentive and respectful manner, the horrible and disgusting cleanliness of this bathroom made me think, 'What else do they ignore? When replacing my tires, did they truly do a good job or did they just do the minimum amount of work to make some extra cash off me and get us out the door. * Summary* I paid $1000 to have my car serviced for overheating at Firestone Montclair. After driving my car 30 miles, my car was leaking with fluid and over heating within the same day of service. **Full Review** I brought my car in to Firestone Montclair because it was overheating. I was told that I would have to pay $70 to have my "car diagnosed". (This amount would not go to any services or repairs). I agreed to pay to have my car diagnosed. Within 3 hours, I received a call back with an estimation quote and diagnoses. The cost to fix my car was $1000. The technician recommended that I replace my radiator, thermostat, do a coolant exchange, and change the hose in my car. Although this was a hefty bill, I agreed to have everything done.   Montclair Firestone kept my car for 2 days. Once the car, was complete I received a call to inform me that my car was done being serviced.  I picked up my car at 4:45pm and drove it roughly 20 miles to my home.  When I parked the car there, was fluid leaking from my car. I never had this issue prior to getting my car "fixed" by Firestone. But I didn't read into it because I thought oh maybe that's from the air conditioner. Later that evening, I drove the car another 10 miles. My car started overheating. When I pulled over, there was fluid leaking from the bottom of my car again. At this point, it was 8:45 pm and I could not drive my car because it was overheating. I called AAA to tow my car back to the shop in Montclair.   The next morning at 7:10am, I received a call from Rafael the store manager at Firestone. He called and said "We saw that your car was parked outside and we found your key. I went ahead and started your car, I see that the temperature on your car is rising. Did you bring the car back because it is still overheating?"   Yes!?! I did...... I paid you all $1000 to fix my car for overheating...I had my car for a total of 4 hours... I drove my car a total of 30 miles... I used an AAA tow.... I took a Lyft to work this morning... I now have a car that leaks fluid... and guess what I can't drive my car because it is STILL overheating.....   I'm patiently waiting for Rafael the manager to give me an update on my car.... Because his claim this morning was "We will take a look at it maybe there was a faulty thermostat installed."     **Update**   I was informed by Rafael at 9:30am, that the radiator and hose were installed to close to the belt. Thus, while driving my car the belt wore through the radiator hose. This would explain why my car is leaking. Rafael agreed to replace the hose free of charge. I requested that Firestone run test to make sure that my engine was still intact and my head gasket was still working. Rafael agreed to complete a block test and second diagnostics test.   While I do appreciate the transparency, it's very annoying that the service I paid for was not done correctly.   Review to be continued... read more
