Went Firestone Peachtree Corners for a radiator replacement on my Jeep Wrangler. Within days the Jeep dumped all fluids on my driveway and had to be towed back Sunday. Picked it up Monday (they said a hose came undone). Tuesday - check engine light (low oil). Wednesday - drove it, knew something was still wrong. Wednesday night - back to Firestone. Thursday - told it was low transmission fluid. Friday - they said it was "fixed," but I left it there and filed a formal claim, arranging for a third party to ensure it's repaired correctly. In one week, Firestone had my Jeep back four times, caused a fluid dump that damaged my driveway, left me paying for a rental, missing work, and dealing with stress-related health issues -- all after their "repair." Extremely disappointed and deeply concerned about long-term engine and transmission damage. read more

We scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 9 AM on Monday. We dropped the car off and the worker told us it would be complete within the hour. By 10:30 AM they had not called us so we returned. Upon arrival we saw the car had not been moved so we went inside where the worker told us they couldn't get to it yet and it would be another 1 1/2 hours. We had to leave without the oil change as I had to return to work. Extremely disappointing because we made an appointment. If they were not able to complete the job in a reasonable amount of time, they could have told us when we dropped the car off. The worker did not understand why their inability to complete the job in less than 3 hours was upsetting. His demeanor towards us was inappropriate. They should not make appointments they can't keep. read more

I ran over something in my apartment complex which caused a leak in my tire. GREAT. I needed to be at work later on that afternoon. I called Firestone and Lee picked up and assisted me with complete professionalism. I came in and was greeted by another employee who pulled up my file and Lee had already left him notes which was great - I LOVE COMMUNICATION! Lee came out and let us know that my tire wasn't in the store, but he could call another store, get a courier to bring it over in about an hour and half. As I waited, he kept me updated as the courier arrived closer. The courier came within the time he stated and a new tire is now installed! I am still waiting for the Area manager to call me back !!!!! I had an issue at this location, they go through your personal stuff while your care is being worked on. I specifically left my wheel lock key visible for the tech to see when they rotate my tires. I come back to my car and see that all my stuff in my glove compartment and in my middle consul have been gone thru. I write a review and the manager contacts me, unfortunately, I was unable to answer the call. I immediately returned his call the next day and left him a message to please call me back so I can go into detail about the issue that I have. Mind you, the reason that I called the first time was because of them going thru my stuff and to ask why every time I go there there is always some communication problem. I have been to this location every time i need my oil changed, tires and all the other bells and whistles needed to keep up my cars maintenance. I have yet to get another call back. They call you when you first write a review just to say that they contacted you but to no resolution !!! I cannot believe that I have spent so much money at this location and they would do this to me. Don't go to this place unless you enjoy having your personal stuff gone thru. I will update this once they provide me with some resolution !!! Also, thinks it funny that one visit they say my car needs struts that will cost about $2000 and then I go there to get the work done a few weeks later only to tell me that my struts are fine and just need shocks !! They said I needed a new battery... little did that.....i know I a full inspection at a dealership 2 days before- decided to get front brakes done @ firesrone. After I pointed that out, they back tracked. Let's move forward to last week.. went in for an oil change and back brakes. I have a2013 Ford explorer that I've had regular maintenance and brake inspections- every 6 mo to be exact. So why did they say I needed rear rotors? To make a long story short, I disagreed. On paper it said recommended, but they said they wouldn't do it if I didn't get rotors. Took it to Mr. Tire, and they confirmed only resurfacing was needed. Older guy with grey hair was GREAT. The Asian guy "lee" was a jerk. The ONLY reason I'm 2 staring is because they comped the whole transaction. I set up a scheduled oil change online for Friday November 23 at 10am. I get a call about an hour before the appoint to be told I had to reschedule my appointment for noon the next day. I get there 15 minutes early, and they didn't even pull my car in until 12:15. They put my car on the lift with the drum under it to drain the oil at 12:20. At 1:07 it is STILL THERE WITH NO ONE WORKING ON IT!! There was another car that had been put on a lift for an oil change at 12:45 who was off the lift by 1. This person was a WALK IN with NO APPOINTMENT. I asked Lee why it was taking so long when the other one was done in 15 minutes! He told me "your mechanic is working on another car, he will get back to it when he's done" and pretty much told me to get over it. I was outraged. I've had some bad experiences at other Firestone's before but this was by far the worst. read more

My partner called to make an appointment at the Spaulding Dr. location of Firestone CAC to take our SUV in for an oil change, tire rotation and to have the brakes looked at due to some vibration at highway speed. No squealing, no grinding, just a little vibration. We've both had our cars to this place a couple of times since we moved to this area a little over year ago and had no issues, so I didn't have any qualms about taking it here. They said they should be able to look at everything, no problem. Car was due for a brake job, so we figured it was time for pads and maybe to have the rotors turned. Partner drops the car off. She gets home and says the woman working the desk/lobby was on her phone, took her keys and said "Ok, thanks" and just kept talking on her phone. So my partner leaves, having not been asked any questions or getting any ETA. Maybe 30 minutes later the woman working the desk there called and said they didn't have a brake tech today and that they wouldn't be able to do anything with the brakes. She said she couldn't catch her before she "ran out the door" or she would have told my partner that. (Right, you were on your phone, but whatever.) My partner told them they could keep the car until Monday when a brake tech could take a look. Ok, a little annoying, but fine. About 2 hours after that, Firestone lady calls back again, saying they recommended all 4 new rotors and pads, to the tune of about $1,000. In fact, the woman calling with this recommendation used the words "destroyed" and "shot" to describe the rear rotors, which I know is just obviously not true. So they went from "there's no brake tech" to giving us a $1,000 estimate? It didn't make any sense. We are both females and I've been treated like an idiot by enough repair places that my spidey senses were tingling on this one. So I went down to the shop to talk to the woman myself and find out what was going on. When I asked what the thickness measurements were on the rotors that were so "shot" and "destroyed" that they thought they needed to be replaced instead of machined (which is much cheaper than replacement), she started back tracking and changed her story several times. First she said the guy looking at them wasn't a certified mechanic and I was like "why are you giving us this $1,000 quote for rotor replacement based on this non-certified tech's opinion, then?" It just went downhill from there and it was clear we weren't going to a straight answer from her, and it was equally clear that I wasn't going to let this place do a brake job after this display of ineptness. It's entirely possible that this woman didn't know what she was doing when she quoted the replacement vs. machining, but her shifting story was so off-putting, we decided it wasn't worth our time to figure out whether the issue was her mis-quoting what the tech said or the tech making a bogus diagnosis. (I suspect it was her, but to be honest, too many red flags were up at this point). We paid for the oil change and tire rotation and left. By the way, we drove the car home on these supposedly "destroyed" rear rotors and we'll be finding someone else who will treat us right. They lost 2 customers and I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dropped my car off with squeaking brakes. They told me my brake pads were fine but I needed new rotors meaning they couldn't save my pads, that I'd also need a complete system flush because of it. Quoted me $700 in parts, plus labor, for a $1100 repair. I told them I'd wait until payday and brought it to my mechanic down the street who works on my other car. He said my brake were fine, my rotors were just a little warped and could be machine turned. Total charge: $90. Buyer Beware: this location of Firestone is crooked!!!! read more

Went in for a flat tire repair, they said they could not fix it and that I needed a new tire, I decided to get two new tires to make a set and get an alignment. In the process of taking off my tires they stripped not one or two lung nuts but all 20 tire lug nuts. The lug nuts are factory Chrysler stock items and I have had Chrysler, Costco and Walmart to the tires off and on without a problem. I proceed to tell them that I should not have to pay for their mistake to the tune of $250. They tell me that the lug nuts are inferior and that they are only charging me half the price as a favor. I will never go back to that place again. After reading some of these comments there seems to be a pattern here. read more

I've been coming to these guys for a couple years now, through three different cars, and they have always taken very good care of me. Not once have I felt that they were trying to charge me for more work than needed to be done. In fact, on several occasions I came in for something (such as replacing my brakes) and they informed me that it wasn't necessary yet, that I should wait and not waste my money.. Very rarely, I come in for a repair, and find that what they did failed to fix the problem. In the few times that's happened, when I brought it back to them and explained that it wasn't working out, they corrected their error at no charge. Taking responsibility for their mistakes that way earns huge points in my book. On top of their positive business practices, the staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable, and the place is kept cleaner than some restaurants I've been in. They have a television and complimentary coffee set out for waiting customers too. I may have even once or twice dozed off in their chairs without being bothered. I would happily recommend this location to anyone who doesn't perform their own car maintenance. read more

Dropped my car off at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday So that they could work on it Sunday morning 1st thing On Sunday morning I called it 10:15 a.m. to see if my car was ready and they said yes your car is all done. When I got to the store they said there's been a mistake and they hadnt even touched my car. My wife has a 2012 GMC Acadia the check engine light came on Firestone told me it was a purge valve they wanted $100 for the assessment and another $207 to replace the purge valve. About the purge valve in Advance Auto Parts for $44 it took me less than 4 minutes to replace it. I've been doing business with this firestone for 12 years and this Is how they treat me. I'm done with this place I'm gonna have to find a new car service establishment. read more

Went to get my bmw aligned and these guys made every single excuse in the book to try to avoid aligning my car. Started off with "the wait is 3 hours", then "we may not get to it today" to "we can't adjust the camber on your car" to "we don't have weights for your car so we can't align it" to "we have to adjust your shock for your alignment and we don't want to do that", "our machine can't align your car" (even tho every Firestone has the same alignment rack). These guys are horrible at their jobs and so lazy. I have a stock 2008 bmw 3 series and these goofballs told me they couldn't align it and to go to the dealer... Even after I had told them I've gotten my car successfully aligned at several Firestone's through the 3 year alignment I paid for. Ridiculous. read more

Brought my new car with 3500 miles on it (and the tires) with a screw in the tread, at least 1.5 inches from the sidewall. They told me it wasn't fixable and a replacement tire would cost $130. Took the car to both NTB and Kaufmann, who both said "No problem sir". Kaufmann did it for FREE! I had previously brought a different car here (as they are close) and they damaged a brake caliper, and then claimed it was "wear and tear" and that I needed to spend $300 for a new one. These guys, Lee and Kevin and the rest of the crew are nothing but honest straight shooters. They have been maintaining both of my cars since at least 2007. They have always provided an honest opinion and never push any service. Most recent example, my car was at the dealer where they recommended I do about $1000 worth of work. I brought it to Firestone and they told me one of the jobs was already done a few months ago and re-checked and fixed at no charge. They told me the break pads that were told to replace still have at least 1/2 life or 25000-30000 miles of life. My bull for work that was "actually" needed was $113. That was only 1 example of many and just the most recent one. Build a relationship with these guys, an honest mechanic is your best friend and near impossible to find! read more

Stopped in yesterday because gauge on dash indicated my front tire only had 29lbs air. Asked if they could check the tire. Guy put air in tire and gave me story about not trusting gauge on dash because batteries go bad. He told me I needed to check air monthly, tire now had correct amount and to just drive the car and not worry about it. Didn't even take the time to check the tire. Well, this morning got up and same tire was down to 26lbs air. Stopped at Goodyear and asked if they would check the tire. Guess what! The tire had a nail which was causing a slow leak. Glad I got a second opinion and didn't end up on side of road with a flat tire. read more

I have been taking my cars to this location for years and will continue to do so, largely because of Lee. He is always honest, fair, courteous, prompt and communicative. He even takes the time to answer my admittedly dumb questions. Just recently, during an oil change his team noticed that I had a cracked mount of some kind. He suggested a repair, very fairly priced I might add, and on my next visit for a brake job the mount was replaced too, and it feels like I am driving a new car!! read more

That is how horrible the service is for the Firestone Auto Complete Care on 7728 Spalding Dr Norcross, Ga this place is not a complete auto care center and need to be investigated and retrained! I have spent well over 3,000 within a matter of a few weeks due to their lack of communication and professionalism! Even paid the 10$ which is suppose to be for them to do a full inspection on your vehicle. I got all the work done that they claimed needed to be done at that point was about 2200$ and my car still was not right! Took my car back to them b/c my car still continued to scrub and make a hissing sound so terrible...for them to tell me "well you did just get a lot of work done so it COULD be just needing to be worn in" or maybe your back brakes need replaced... but yet part of that previous service was my front brakes so how you guys didn't know about the back? The response I was given was "if they don't feel it's a safety issue they don't mention it" they even drive my car when I took it back. Made another appointment and this day was a complete reminder on why I will NEVER take my car to this location again! They actually made me feel like I was crazy and I guess just way to spend money I don't have just because. They told me they don't hear anything and kept going on what they previously fixed like they did something right! I then got totally p'd off and just walked out and I did some choice words while doing so. My parents have dealt with Firestone for as long as I can remember so I felt they were a reputable company and I hate to give a bad name to them all because of one location... I called and took my car to another Firestone auto complete care 5585 Buford Hwy Doraville and I dealt with Tory and Charles who were awesome!! they drove with me and before I could even get out the parking lot they heard what the issue was and took the time to explain and examine my car the way it should have been done! That location on Spalding needs to be investigated and needs better management and mechanics! Unbelievable that there was such a big difference between these 2 locations. Came in for realignment after an accident and new sub frame put on my car. Meet the store manager Jason Alterman, who immediately put it up and found a problem. They fixed a problem, drove it again found another problem. They fixed it, drove around and heard screeching from the brakes. Put it back up found the problem, fixed it. Realigned my car again and because i have lifetime alignment it cost me nothing. That's not the point. The determination to get to the problem for a customer no matter what was one of the most impressive care car situations I've ever been witness to. I would undeniably not hesitate to ask for this man anytime you come in. Be honest about your issues and he will do his HONEST best to help. Fantastic experience. read more

A few years ago I had a big problem with this store, they didn't tighten my tie rod after they rotated my tires. I was visiting from out of state and had this done because it was a place respected by my father. Well I drove all the way home, almost 600 miles to find out that it was undriveable at that point and the entire tie rod needed to be replaced, the dealer at home said "have it towed back to where you had it done to repair, it's undriveable"! This past weekend, took in my car because of a noise it was making while the AC was running, they said they couldn't duplicate the problem, it was there 2 days, they recommended something that DIDN'T need to be done and never looked to see what the noise was. Only to have my father take it back today and they said oh yea, it's this... we can't help you, take it to the dealer. Sorry, that was strike 2 in my book!!! read more

Soooo I will never go to a Firestone . first of all I booked my appointment on line for Saturday at 11:30 an employee called to verify and asked if I was getting an alignment I said no I just booked for an oil change..he then said well we have a special for 179.99 I declined letting him know my car is covered with a Chevy warranty package Ibut since I recently moved out here I have not had time to get to a Chevy dealership to have my oil change completed ...with that being said can I please just have the oil change...employee nows says yes but we don't have any appointments for Saturday you can call and check tommrow ..hmmmmm funny how I had an appointment when he thought I was going to be pressured into other services now that I declined and only want an oil change there are no appointments available...scumbags!!! read more

(by Art's wife) Went to buy hubby's car a couple new tires. The salesman selected tires for us--apparently they were out of or had discontinued all other options for his car. (It IS a '98, but still, we'd like options.) The tires were reasonably priced, and include the road hazard in the price. He also told us we needed an alignment. Hubby had noted this problem while driving, so we agreed to one, for $90. Total for two tires and alignment was about $310. After we left, they also called us about 45 minutes later and said we needed a total of about $400 in other preventative maintenance and fluid changes. Overall, we were happy with our tires, and service was relatively quick. Their waiting room is pleasant, if you needed to wait for your car. (We dropped it off on a Saturday--no appointment--and got it back in about two hours.) However, we HATE the "upsell" for other things, when we've come in just for tires!! read more
