I came here for an oil change because I pass thru here often so I might as well give this business a try as I've heard so much about them on ads. As far as price goes it wasn't that much different than other places I've had oil changes but what I didn't like was the constant upsell here. I felt like they didn't just want to let me get just an oil change, they recommended I did a transmission flush, replace one of the bearings, recommended I change out one of the bands. When I asked if it was necessary they just Said it was preventative maintenance and I still had Miles I could drive without doing those things. When I didn't want to add none of those services he started getting upset. I felt pressure and all I wanted was an oil change. Besides that the work was done accordingly. read more

I went to this location on Laurel Cyn to inquire about service. Claudia or Claudio had the worst attitude , this was at 7:30 AM, I'm sure this person had a pretty long day with that attitude. When i enquirerd about what I needed done with my car she had no knowledge about what I was asking. If your going to work in an auto parts establishment, have some knowledge about vehicles. This person suggested I go to the Studio City location, I asked Claudio or Claudia if she can call for me, she picked up the phone with an attitude and made the call. I am a Firestone card holder for 5 years now, never have I experienced poor customer service. I had to call the Studio City location myself to confirm my request. read more

I was amazed on how bad of service this Firestone was for my wife today. The first part was that they told her that the account I have on file, was expired. I called the Credit first NA and they confirmed that my account did not expire and is in good standing with zero balance. Then after waiting for the new tire replacement, they placed a visibly smaller tire on her mid size SUV and she had to point out the mistake made. Which ended up being an additional 30+ min wait, so she was not very happy. I have been a customer of Firestone for maybe close to 20 years and I have never had not one issue at my local Firestone garage. My 2 cents. read more

I came here for a scheduled oil change. I was preparing myself to be upsold but they didn't. That was a pleasant surprise. In fact, the cashier applied a coupon I didn't even ask for. My car was sitting outside in front of the repair shop for twenty minutes after services were rendered. I assumed they had something else to do but I went up after waiting almost a half hour and they said I was all set. I wish they had been more timely with letting me know it was complete. Took my car in to get a tire replaced at 10:30am and they told me they didn't have the tire in stock and I was completely okay with them ordering the tire and leaving my car for the day. They told me the tire would be there at 11:30-12:00. I left my car and went on with my day, I had to call them at 2:00 pm just to check status and they told me the tire just arrived and I said okay great. At 3pm they called me saying that my car was ready so I went to pick it up. Paid for the tire and got my car back and I performed an inspection on my car and sure enough the tire was not even replaced. I told the advisor and he said sorry let me find out what happen, and he told me the tech could not find the lock. The tech searches the glove box but did not search the center console. I left my car there all day and got it back at 5:45pm when they were about to close because someone did not do their job and communicate with me about anything. No call about the wheel lock, no call on any questions. They just said your car is ready and charged me but did not perform the work. Wasted my day because I trusted them with the work but for sure never again coming back here. read more

I had an appointment for 5pm and I was told if I could get there earlier I could bring the car in. I was able to get there by 11:10 am. I noticed there wasn't a line and I was wondering why at 2:40 pm no one was working on my car. I figured they were on break, but a few people came in after me and were given their diagnoses and had their cars worked on. At that point, I spoke up and I was told that since I came before my appointment time that's why they hadn't gotten to my car. Makes no sense as the others didn't have appointments either. The heavyset mechanic asked me why did I bring my car in. He said he did a test drive and couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes. If I was a mechanic I wouldn't be coming to you Firestone! What am I paying you to inspect? I was told by the dealer I needed them. And I told him that the car is hard to stop when I drive. Since I had my computer, I was okay with the first three hours of waiting but after that I started to get restless. When I spoke up, the older Asian man who was initially extremely pleasant gave me an attitude and said they were doing their best. He doesn't do well with pressure or a line of customers because I overheard him snapping on multiple guests. Another issue was the restroom. If you're going to have one open to the public please clean it. There was feces on the wall and toilet. The sink was clogged, and the trash can was overflowing. Update: 3:40 still nothing. And three more people have come and gone. Funny. Came back and edited the review. Bryan is okay in my book. He knows his job and tries to explain it to you as well. Book.. read more

My side view mirror was broken, I called to make an appointment to see if they were able to fix. Since the Side view mirror was completely gone, it would have had to be replaced, the dealership was charging an arm and a leg for the service, especially due to overnight fees that were in the 100s of dollars. The actual service here isn't that bad. The men were nice and helpful, however I set an appointment at 9AM expecting to get my car serviced during that time only to be told they are backed up and it's going to take 1 hr 1/2 for an oil change. As an Uber driver I was told by the establishment I rent the vehicle from this is the only location to take my vehicle so I didn't have any other choice. I proceeded to wait the allotted time which dipped into my other activities I was on schedule to do. From this experience I realized this location isn't the best at providing accurate service times, they can't honor their times even if you set one, you are better off just bringing your vehicle in, don't set any appointment and just have them tell you when it will be ready. Have someone follow you so you don't have to wait like I did, but when your car is ready you can just swing back around and pick it up. I hate being inconvenienced, but I guess it's just business. read more

I went there for an oil change. I mentioned my brake light kept going on and asked if they checked all the fluids. They assured me they did. Well, they didn't..I went to a brake place today and they told me the brake fluid was low. Lazy and did a shoddy job. This is the Laurel Canyon location. Their parking lot is a joke; full of potholes. If I broke down in front of their shop I'd have my car towed somewhere else. read more

I had a great experience here. I found a nail in my tire prompting my air pressure indicator light to come on. I was able to make an appointment for the first am time slot available the following day with ease and was in and put within 45 mins! The fact that this location was the only auto shop open at 7am versus all other others at 8am or later made all the difference for me and I will be sure to remember this should I need their services in the future. He was extremely polite, kind and amazing during my visit and did not upsell me anything at all and made sure all my questions and concerns were taken care of, but the best thing about jaime was that he was very honest and genuine. I came here because someone stole the lug nuts from two tires on my car. The manger looked up the price and told me it would be best if I bought them at an auto parts place, or the dealership compared to what they would charge me. I found the lug nut (at the dealership) and they were going (the Dealership) were going to charge me to put them back on, and make me wait two hours. But the manager here, told me to bring my car back and he screwed them in for free. This is my tire place for life! The people were all nice and very helpful and they made sure my car was safe to drive after someone stole my lug nuts. read more

This shop does not honor their appointment times. I had previously made an appointment on Tuesday and I was told that they couldn't work on my car because they were too busy. I rescheduled it for today and then was told that they couldn't work on it right away and that I had to wait 3 to 4 hours to have an oil change done on my car! It was my first time ever getting my tires replaced and let me tell you, these guys are true professionals! Although the first time you do anything can be a little nerve wracking, Jaime made this transition very comfortable. Great service and great communication throughout the whole process. I will never come back after this last oil change. My oil change was done in about an hour, but the technician took my keys by accident when he left for his break. Instead of returning as soon as he was called, he took his time and returned well over an hour later. He couldn't have been that far away considering he had left only about ten minutes before they found out he had the key. I'm sitting there trapped in the lobby without my key and he has the audacity to take his sweet time getting back? I played nice at first when it sounded like he'd be back right away, but you can't keep a customer in the dark about when the person who took their keys will be back. That is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I was refunded and given the oil change for free, but I feel this was very poorly handled. The lack of respect regarding my time is ridiculous and an embarrassment to the service expected at a Firestone. read more

UPDATE 7/16/17: I had an appointment at 12pm today for brake repair. At 12:45, I was told it would be another hour before they could even look at my car for the initial brake inspection. ALSO, I did contact Firestone, as requested below, and received no response. Bad service all around. I've been coming here for almost six years with no problems. They used to do a good job in a timely fashion, but I've recently had major time issues with fairly simple maintenance. I always make an appointment to get my oil changed to reduce wait time, but it always takes over an hour, often two, to do this. I'm waiting right now....I made an appointment for 1:30pm and it's currently 2:30pm and they haven't even looked at my car yet. I would love to continue doing business with this location, but no one should have to wait two hours for a simple oil change. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. read more

My car needed a 60k mile service. I was a customer of the Valley Village store for 20 years before the location shut down. I trusted that team to do so the repairs on my vehicle. When I contacted the Noho store, I spoke to Christian and told him what service I needed. He scheduled my appointment and did a full vehicle inspection. He completed the necessary service and made recommendations for future services. I felt very comfortable with this team. I did NOT feel like they were trying to do unnecessary repairs. Never going back to this location.... I took my two cars there for alignment and tire rotation and end end up having my cars towed out of there to a real mechanic shop. They try to mess up with the cars so they can try to sell you more mechanic time and parts they break things in purpose. I have been coming to this particular Firestone on Laurel Canyon just north of Victory in North Hollywood for several years but within the past 18 months their customer service was no longer up to scale in my opinion. During the pandemic there were problems as well and I thought they might be closing this location but that was with all things and all the unknowns. However over the past 6 to 8 months I have noticed a change. In the last week I had to have my air condition serviced and a few days later an unexpected tire repair. I made an appointment for both and waited for repairs to be done both days and I can say both times I received the best in customer service. As I went into the store today for the tire repair a woman was complimenting their customer service as she paid her bill. I was not surprised because I noticed a new feel in the store when I was there for my air conditioning service. After my tire was repaired with no cost because of the Road Hazard on my tires, I commented to the Sales Manager who is Jesus that I overheard what the lady was saying to him about customer service being great and that I agreed with her. He said that he took over the store in October of 2020 as Sales Mgr. and stressed to his team that he wanted this location to be #1 in customer service. Not all mechanics or tire shops are created equal. Today I made a huge mistake coming to this location to get tires put on. The best tire tech in the shop did the work in my car. I requested to please be careful not to scratch my rims. He said he wasn't skilled enough not to scratch rims and his machines were too old to be precise. Guess what, he ruined the finish on my rims. It's never a fun time when you get a flat tire unexpected. Luckily for me it happen near Firestone. You would think everything would be fine. Unfortunately, the guy at the front desk, not sure if his the manager or what. (The heavy guy) Instead of coming to my rescue he brushed me off. Saying we cannot see your car today. You can leave it here and pick it tomorrow. We are backed up and I only have one mechanic. I get it, you're busy. But come on where is your level of customer service. I even ask if he could put the spare on and I would not mind waiting. His reply was unsettling, "you can leave your car but we might not have time to put the spare on." What was I suppose to do? I am very disappointed, this will be my last visit here. Shout out to that one mechanic for putting air on my tire so I can find a place where service is their #1 priority. Btw, they had more than 1 mechanic on site. Thankfully, American tires next door help me out. I explained my situation. They took my car in, fixed my tires, which happen to be a small nail and sent me on my way. At no charge. Turn around time: 15-20mins. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars only in comparison with going to a dealership. They are very honest here; there are great mechanics that are happy to show you everything you need to see and they are punctual with their appointments. Working with Chris specifically was nice here, he's a really great guy. I brought my car in for a tire rotation and a flat, and thanks to my awesome warranty, no charge. But my poor little vehicle is old and I'm terrible to it so they found a bunch of problems. Had I brought it to a dealer, it would have cost me about twice as much and they would have never shown me what they "discovered" was wrong with it. I explained my concerns and Firestone was happy to hold off on any repairs until I arrived and took a look myself. They have a nice waiting room with free coffee and water. I know that doesn't sound thrilling, but that's just your ego responding to an implied environmental schema in your brain. Free coffee and water and you're not impressed?! Go to a Subway and see if you get free coffee. Good luck ... they don't even have it. Go to a Starbucks and try and get free coffee. Oops, THAT won't fly. But no... Firestone's free beverage isn't impressing you. But why? I mean I'll admit me getting thrilled about the water is hard to defend, but sometimes you need to relax your culturally driven reservations about the world and realize you have it pretty good. The very idea that you have a moving vehicle that takes you at life threatening speeds to wherever you want to go is pretty awesome. But I know what you're thinking now... Justin, where are the flying cars?! Where is the teleportation? I actually completely agree with that complaint, and sometimes it makes me so mad I refuse to get out of bed until a scientist stuffs me into an experimental transportation pod and I wake up on a sunny beach in Estonia.............. I went by with my dad to check out pricing. A relative of mine who works with Bridgestone had given me a special pricing coupon where the tires are sold at store cost plus 10 percent. The guy helping us didn't bother to read the coupon and told us it was a standard percent off the total price given to employees. The price turned out to be about what Costco charged without any coupons. I confirmed with my relative and told me to talk to the store manager. The experience left a bad taste in mouth and don't want to bother coming back. This exactly why I love Costco.....no switch and bait, no hidden fees, and more customer service. read more
