I was not able to go that week, however the following week I was nearby so figured I would just stop by and see if he could service my vehicle, but let him know I needed my car back by a certain time. He called about an hour before I needed it saying they were wrapping up and shared the final price which ended up being a few dollars less than the original estimate. Car felt great and we will be returning for any future maintenance needs. Great service, fair pricing and great, clear communication.

Roadside assistance gave me a jump and explained that my battery might be bad but my alternator was reading 14 so it most likely is a bad battery. Got a brand new battery from AutoZone thinking my problem was solved. After having to get another jump I brought it to Pacific on Friday and was told I needed a new alternator and was even shown the reader that read 12.44. I explained what I was told just 2 days before but the mechanic who put the reader on my car kept saying it needed replacing. Another guy then brings me in the office to show me the part costing $881 on the computer and proceeds in a dramatic fashion to tell me it's expensive but labor isn't big so he'll give me a good deal taking it from $990 to $840 and they can do it today. I would've been insulted if it wasn't so funny to me that they would think I was that dumb. After getting the BS speech I let him know I'd need to call my brother. While waiting I had already submitted requests for quotes on Yelp and immediately took my car to Dave's Quick Lube. I explained what the issue was but after running a diagnostic he said it was electrical but my alternator was actually good. Recommended I go to Golden State Auto Repair so I headed there to get my car looked at. They found out a lever was broken something was draining my battery, fixed the problem and only charged me $250! Today was the 1st day I was able to start my car up no issues. BEWARE. It's bad enough to be overcharged but to not even give accurate diagnostics is insane. Not sure if it was me being a woman or black but either way this was a disappointing experience.

I brought my car to Funk Bros Auto on Ventura, which is a fantastic mechanic, for a new battery and a synthetic oil change. They inform me that my brake pads were down to almost nothing in the front. This was very disconcerting because I had spent my final discretionary income on the battery and the oil change. So here I am about to have brake pads go metal to metal, and being quoted a little more than I could actually afford. But as you know, brakes are pretty much an emergency repair that needs to be done as soon as you know that it needs to be done. You can't wait on brakes. So for the next 24 hours, I was emotionally distraught thinking about my vehicle. Until I did a quick yelp search and Burbank quality brake and alignment. I call, Mark answers, I tell him when I need done, he starts giving me exact pricing for each part, including the amount of cents. He tells me he'll call me back with a quote. He calls me back five minutes later and quotes me the best price that I have found anywhere for my front brakes and rotors needing to be replaced. It was JUST within my price range. I'm talking just within my price range within 20 bucks of what I could afford. Mark being so diligent and respectful with every cent accounted for allowed me to get my brakes done (which gave me instant peace of mind). And not only did they get done, once I came into the mechanic shop Mark has the biggest heart and instantly won my trust. I just handed the keys over with full confidence it was all going to be done right. He sees my guitar in the trunk and he starts talking about guitars and shows me a guitar that he designed himself a really really nice Stratocaster. It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

Anyone who builds off-road vehicles knows that finding the right shop is a niche and personal choice--you want a team you can trust with your rig. I had originally received a quote from a shop in San Diego, but when I realized there was a shop right here in my own backyard in Burbank, I wanted to try and keep my business local. I reached out and sent them the itemized list of work from the previous shop to see what they could do. What followed was some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. The guy who called me back came out swinging, practically yelling at me over the phone. He was incredibly defensive, snapping, "Just so you know, we are $275 an hour for labor, and I see you cut this invoice out from someone else's estimate. We are more expensive than them." He sounded deeply insecure and visibly furious that a customer would dare to shop around for the best fit. He later left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, a different guy answered the phone and spoke to me like I was a debt collector harassing him. When I answered his question about who I was looking for and our previous conversation, he rudely interrupted me mid-sentence, blurting out, "OKAY, WELL I HAVE ANOTHER CALL SO..." and literally just trailed off into silence. I just hung up. Why would I ever let people who treat human beings this way get anywhere near my vehicle? How does a business survive operating like this? I had a $12,000 job ready to go for tire replacements, a suspension overhaul, front bumper replacement, roof rack and heavy maintenance work. Instead of securing a massive project, these clowns let their egos and hostile communication skills ruin the transaction. Out of principle, take your hard-earned money and your rig somewhere else. Go to a shop where people actually practice basic kindness, respect, and professional communication. The way this entire crew came across was like a bunch of snakes. Save yourself the headache and go to another off-road establishment. And know that this place charges an hourly labor rate of $275 an hour.

We communicated via text and phone but during drop off and pick up the main guy wasn't around. He shares the garage with someone else and that person helped us when the main guy wasn't there (sorry I can't remember his name). My car was overheating and needed an oil change I found the shop online and saw the good reviews and thought i can try the place. When i went there I found out the place is under new management now and the guy's name is Nazar. He was very helpful and explained everything in detail to me, which was nice. I picked up my car the same day and it is no longer over heating and works like it's never worked before. The best part is they have very reasonable prices and he seemed like a very honest guy which is really hard to find now a days. I will definitely go back again! Went to him for a fuel pump replacement repair. The first shop I stopped at because it was close scared me away just on their customer service. Not to mention the scary reviews it had. Amazing that any business that can stay afloat when half your reveiws are calling you a scam artist. I bought my own fuel pump from Ebay which I know most shops don't appreciate or even accept. Wow. I went there…read moretoday with a leaking tire. I was strapped for time and anxious. I met Henry. I don't know who runs this place but give Henry a raise. He walked me through the problem, a patch that was leaking and unfortunately necessitated a new tire. He took the time to show me the issue and walked me through my options. I took his advice and bought a tire (which he heavily discounted because I was a returning customer) when I left, I realized that whole process took less than 20 min. If you need tire help go here asap and ask for Henry. They're fast, they're legit, they're talented, and they respect and love the community. I'm a diehard customer now because of him.

DANGEROUS EXPERIENCE!!!…read more I purchased a used tire from this shop while in a pinch with assurance it would work, and less than a month later that tire blew out while I was driving on the 101 South causing me to spin out and to barely miss other drivers; this could've resulted in serious injury or loss of life. When I brought documentation of it having been worked on afterward and the photos of the destroyed tire they put on to the Ortiz Tires staff I was told the manager wasn't in and they showed absolutely no remorse even after I explained everything that happened. No apology, no refund, but in general refused to take absolutely any responsibility for what happened; which is what is most troubling. Attached to my post are images of the destroyed tire, posting this here to warn the local community. I would not trust Ortiz Tires staff, safety standards, or their concern for the well being of customers, and I would not purchase any inventory from this establishment.

This is my second experience with Noho Tire & Wheels…read more My first experience went brilliant. I came in with a tire that was losing pressure due to a nail and they patched me up in no time at a reasonable cost and sent me on my way. Just a positive experience all around. This time I was towed in with a very bad flat and without even a greeting a "Hello, how are you doing?" Or a "Hey what's going on with your tires today?" A man seated in the alley approached me and was immediately pressuring me to buy four brand new tires at a cost of $110 each without even looking at my tires first. He told me that my tires are old and they should be replaced and that if I didn't agree right away it would cost me more money later. This level of aggression was cold and disheartening and it is absolutely the reason why I will go somewhere else to get my tires replaced. After dealing with the unfriendly and aggressive sales tactics, the service was speedy and efficient and I was able to get back on my way with a new tire. Overall I would still recommend them to people in the area but I'll be on the lookout for another place going forward.

Even during the winter holidays this past 2022, they were able to get my car serviced for breaks, oil change, air pump, and a few other things in just a few days before 12/25. Cannot recommend them and their hospitality enough.

So if you ever need to prove you've taken care of your vehicle over the years, they won't help you. I ended up in this situation and reached out to them for help several times. I went in person twice. The guy there was nice and took my info down. But they never reached back out. When I called they kept hanging up on me. Really left me in a bind that will end my years of loyalty. The past couple times I got my oil changed here, they requested payment via Zelle or Venmo. This wasn't an issue other than leaving without any records. If that's cool with you then it's a solid place for a quick walk-in. Just be prepared for the stereotypical attempts to rope you into over-priced air filter and tire replacements.

Her tone was dismissive and disrespectful, and that's something I can't ignore. I've dealt with the other guy before, and he was the complete opposite -- friendly, helpful, and patient. That's the only reason I came back. But this lady? Absolutely no customer service skills at all. It's shocking how someone like that is allowed to represent a business. If you value being treated with basic respect, I strongly suggest avoiding her. There's a right way to talk to people, and she clearly hasn't learned it. One of the men was on the older side and it was like talking to your grandfather; he was so kind, explained my situation, and told me my tires were messed up and to be careful on the street since they did not have my tires (like all the other ones), but he was so caring. He said he could have the tires later in the day, but I did not want to wait the hours. I decided I will return to see if I can find other tires available. 10/10 recommend them due to their kindness and service. It looks like they have all the tires you could want at a decent price.
