I scheduled an appointment, online, 2 days ago. I got a call to reschedule the appointment, which was no problem: it was scheduled for 2 days later (today) at 5pm. When I arrive there, I was told that I my appointment was actually for 3pm and I could not be fit in today. As it turns out that rather than calling me to inform me that the appointment was reschedule, they just sent an email. I'm just glad my needs were not urgent. Dreadful customer service. I shopped around trying to find a good deal on an alignment came across firestone for $100 as a deal if you show them the code. So I am excited and thinking I'll come in and show it to them and use the deal to get my car aligned. i come midday on a Monday and the manager rudely tells me that that's just the cost and there is no discount. He then tells me they are too busy and to book an appointment for early in the morning on another day. I wake up early to make my appointment on time. I was greeted with sarcasm and crassness. I handed over the keys reluctantly and I watched my car sit in the lot with nothing happening to it for 25 mins until I asked for my keys back. He literally made up excuses telling me why I couldn't get my keys back!!! Trying to hold my car hostage while it's been sitting in the parking lot untouched for 25 mins. I sternly demanded my keys and he was miraculously, able to find them. I took them and drove right down to the road and got in immediately with excellent customer service at Just Tires and was in and out with in 30 mins with no appointment! While I seldom review any company this service was incredibly insulting. If I am spending a lot of money on car service I would at least like to be treated with some level of respect and I believe my time should be valued especially if I had to schedule an appointment. 3/15/23 read more

Last Sunday my tire was flat, so after pumping it up I took it here to get fixed/replaced. The service advisor said there was a nail, but it could be patched. I thought, "Great! Quick fix, cheap, and I can get to work tomorrow." The tire was fixed, and I was on my way. Now, literally one week later, I am driving home (about a half a mile from my home), and the tire blows out. I was not speeding, and I was not even on a highway. I'm furious, because I was promised my the advisor that I would not need a new tire, and that their (Firestone) patch is the best and will last a long time. I don't think a week is a long time...The worse part is the fact that I don't live by this Firestone, I went there as I was visiting my boyfriend, who lives in the area. I'm hoping to get some sort of refund/new tire as this is unacceptable! read more

Run Run Run!!!!!!! Please avoid this Firestone like a disease! They are incompetent and provide false uneducated information. I've been an automotive technician for 20 years. Every ASE certification in automotive and HD Trucks. Union Journeyman, and VW certified master technician with 100s of hours of factory training. A very simple job ...... an alignment. I can't do this myself because and alignment rack is large and costs about 20k. So I go to these guys. They supposedly align my car and give it back. It changes lanes in 3 seconds by itself. WTF??? The guy tells me that's the way it is. It drives. straight when I took it in after I replaced the entire suspension. They showed me the alignment print out and flat out fabricated a bs reason that has no engineering proof. Hacks!!! read more

Needed tires in my jeep.applied for credit with firestone,got enough to get tires.scheduled in line with this store.set up my day figuring 2 hours for install. Got there 20 minutes before my appt. .Now the appt was made so I would wait. No other cars but me there.Walked in,I didn't get advisors name,older man. Proceeded to greet me, then ask me if I was leaving car,told them had scheduled to wait.He tells me they don't have tires yet,they were ordered and will be there later am.I asked why iwasnt called,he states he had incomplete phone #.I looked at work order,completed number is there on work order So they lost a set of tires,and any future business. A step above awful. These guys are on par with the NTB down the street. First off, the labor rates are pretty high. Especially for incompetent service. Over $100/hr and no happy ending. Brought my car in Sunday morning. Ended up paying $500 for a part repair which couldn't be completed until Monday. Paid in full, got my receipt. Monday rolls along, now there's something else wrong. Its gonna cost me another $200. At list price, not cost. So on top of what they said was done with they manage to find another "problem" but won't charge me what they paid for, for the part. Instead charge me regular retail price to of course make some money. Furious, I called customer "not so" service. The lady asked for the issue and store along with my info. I told her I didn't want anything but just to make tyem aware of unsatisfied customers. She then told me she would call the store manager to let him know. Thing is my car's still there and I really would rather you wait until I get my car back. Apparently that's not how they do things and she keeps snapping back that either she could tell them right now or she'd put it on hold until I called back and told her I would like them to call. To me, there's no understanding on that side about servicing customers. You don't fck with your servers before you get your food. Same applies here. But whatever, just call it then I say. The only other phone call I'd make would be to actual corporate in TN or something. EDIT: so i got my car back, not sure if it's the new part or the problem wasn't fixed but there's still squealing from my front axle which I was assured would go away. $700 later I don't feel great. Bottom line the shop is whatever, customer service was a joke. If you NEED to, you can go here but the area is FULL of auto shops. At least several others in a ONE mile radius. EDIT: went back because the problem wasn't fully solved. NEVER going back again. The general manager is incredibly rude. Now they are ranked under Pep Boys and alongside NTB in my books. read more

My initial interaction with this location started when I called inquiring about a brake estimate. When I called to make my appointment I asked specifically if there was a cost associated with the inspection. The man on the phone told me no, there was a special going on. I made my appointment with no intention of having the work done that day. I still had some time left on my brakes and I was shopping around for a fair price. I got there on time and the man who checked me in assured me that this would take no longer than 45 minutes. About 50 minutes after that I still stood staring at my car still on lifts and tires off. I asked how it was going and my service adviser Kamil explained the inspection to me. I then said I had to be at another appointment and he said that since I wasn't completing the service that he would have to charge me $9.99. I became really frustrated that I was told incorrect information over the phone (that the estimate would be free). Kamil then went into a story saying, "How would repair shops make their money if inspections were free." I didn't bother arguing that point. I just was annoyed the person over the phone wasn't upfront with me. I ended up leaving really annoyed and late for my appointment. There was a special on brakes but after tripling the price of a comparable service (caliper slide) that another shop only charges $17.95 for compared to their $55 I think I found out where they make their money. Timely service on tires and were honest with me in regards to what I did and did not need. As a previous mechanic, I know what I need going in, and these guys didn't try to sell me anything more that that. Been coming here a year now, and had to visit about 4 times for various issues. Called and made an appointment to get my AC checked at 10am for the following day. Get there at 9.30am and was informed that my appointment was for 7am and there's nothing they can do. Dan was extremely rude and had an attitude since I walked in. Its unfortunate that the front guys have their heads up their a$$ because the techs in back are trustworthy. Came in to replace all 4 tires. My tires include the pressure sensor. took pictures prior to my arrival to show that all sensors were working. During the tire change, they said 2 of the 4 sensors were not working and would recommend changing all 4. Complete BS. I contested the employee and he had no answer as he knew he was selling lies. I brought in my wife's car Sunday for an oil change and to see if they could fix one of her leaky tires. They stated they could not fix it and I had to get a new one. This was fine because they were old and worn. So I asked them to put the new tires on and do an alingment since we have a lifetime alignment service. Two hours later I get a call that they broke off the bolt and needed to put a new one on...which they did not have and could not get until Monday. So unconvinced yes, but ok. So Monday comes around and I had to call to check the status of her wife. They told be it would be another 2 days before I can get the car and that it suddenly needs $400 with of more work? And on an area of the car that was just completely replaced by the dealership.... In a second instance, I brought my car in for a oil change. They said they will do an inspection free of charge. So I said ok as I had some time to kill. They said nothing was wrong with the car but my break pads were low. Having pads at home I wasn't worried. So I left. Not more then a hour from leaving my engine stalled and was really choppy. I had my car towed to the dealer and they stated that two ignition coils were burnt out and all 4 spark plugs were installed incorrectly causing the issue. So enter $1000 bill.... seriously what kind of people do you have working here? This was me giving you a second chance and all it seems is your guys break parts on purpose to get a higher bill. read more

This place is horrible. We made two appointments to have tires changed and it took them four hours. They didn't even start the tires until we called two hours past our appointment time. Then the receptionist told us that we were unreasonable with our request to be done on time. I highly suggest you don't come to this location. Took two rims with old tires in had me in and out with new tiles ready to go in less then 30 mins.

I scheduled an appointment to get 4 new tires and an oil change for 730am. When I scheduled the appointment they told me it would take 1-1.5 hours. I told them that would be fine that I would be at work and need it around lunch. When I called at 1:00 the tires were still not on the car and they told me to check back in 1/2 hour. When I checked back they said I could come over and the car would be done at 2. When I got there at 1:50 there were no tires on the car. Finally at 3:00 the car was complete. When they were checking me out hey told me the manager apologized and offered me $199 service for $129. The last thing I wanted to do was spend another penny with them. Instead of asking me to spend more 10% or 15% discount would have gone a long way. read more

So I called Friday to get two new tires for my car due to having a flat on one of them. I'm told there's no way to get them today no way to get in Saturday no way to even Sunday the first time they have available is Monday at 11 AM. So I ask the lady I'm speaking with that we have plans and if I can, would it be OK to drop off the car when they open at seven. So I'm told sure I'll make your appointment for 11 and then you can drop the car. So I get through this morning at 11 o'clock because things happen you say I'm here to drop off my 11 o'clock appointment and I can tell by the who is this is the same lady I talked to she says I don't have any thing here for you, I said I believe we spoke Friday and I said then I would try to drop off the car early but I was only able to do that and here I am at 11 she then says well I don't have time for you now. I was very, very impressed with the service provided by Anthony Velasco at the Rand Road/Palatine, IL Firestone Complete Auto Care location. Before I was even out of my car, in the parking lot, Anthony had already started walking towards me to greet me and inquire about what brought me into their shop. He made great tire recommendations that convinced me to upgrade from the tire I was determined to get - a 40K mile - to a 70K mile Affinity Touring tire, which - and I know very little about tires - simply looked more stable, looked like it was made of better material, had better traction, and would handle roads/inclement weather a lot better. AND he worked out a great deal for me that permitted me to afford the upgrade. Stellar, stellar service and super-friendly and knowledgeable gentleman. Anthony was thorough; the service itself was expedient; and I left with a goody bag filled with coupons for future services. I'm super pleased with my experience and it made "getting car stuff done" a very pain-less and very pleasant and rewarding experience. And if I may say? I've never cared, not once, about tires on my car - I'm happy just to HAVE tires. But the Affinity Touring tires? They look, well, amazing - like you guys coiled a bad-a$$ snake made out of rubber around a rim and stuck it where my wheels would go. I'm so not a car person and now I may just be on my way to paying attention to these things a bit more :) They make my car - a 2005 Toyota Camry with 137k miles - seem hot!
