About a month ago I had an issue in this location, sadly the store manager was not available. I called customer service which they were very amazing, but to resolve my issue they directed me to the area manager Robert, Which he did not do anything, he did not return my calls I called him about three times left a voicemail emailed him about three times no reply back. Customer service continue to help me in the situation and they followed up with Robert, And again he did not reply. Customer Service Directed me to the regional team or someone that oversees Robert, but again no follow up at all. The higher Overhead SUCKS big time! I reached out to the Store Manager (Jose) when I go the opportunity, very professional heard my issues and concerns, and he was there to help me with the store incident, he is the reason and also the Customer Service Dept, on why I'm giving a 5star to this Location. I had a bad experience where I went in, and got new tires. I left my car overnight, and found out two days later they quoted me for the wrong tires. The ones I needed had to be delivered. I used uber to get there to talk to a manager that promised me some sort of discount, but when I came the next day to pay there was nothing on record and I paid full price. Had two tire blow outs on I-30, & was towed to this Firestone location. The damage was assessed and I was told I'd need new rims and 2 new tires. The rims would need to be ordered. I was already upset, late for work, and now was looking at a hefty bill. Not a good day so far. The place was already busy, with people coming and going, the phone ringing constantly, and at this early hour only one person manning the front office. Damen , the multi tasker kept things rolling along smoothly, handling calls, impatient customers and people eager to get on with their day. Through all this, Damen was patient and helpful guiding me through the tedious steps dealing with a third party tire insurance company. This entailed calls back and forth, emails received and faxed back, long hold times. In the end, I was on my way, with a savings of a few hundred dollars! Went in to get my brakes replaced in December 2019. Paid $880 to get all the brakes and rotors replaced which is what they recommended I needed. Today, 4/2/20 is my 4th time to come back after telling them over and over that my brakes were squeaky EVERY day after having it done. I take it up there the 2nd time after explaining the constant noise and the guy told me it was dirt. I explained to him I've lived down a dirt road for more than 10 years and I didn't think it was dirt. They're brand new brakes and rotors. I mean, come on. Well, he didn't listen at all to what I thought and gave me some attitude telling me, again, that it was just dirt inside the brakes and that he wiped them down so I gave up and left. I called up there another few weeks later to talk to a manager and got the assistant manager. I said my brakes were still making the same squeaky sound and he explained that it was probably the type of product the brakes were made of so he told me to go up there and they'll take a look at it again. So I go up there for the 3rd time, keep in mind that every time I go up there I make an appointment, and they do a brake inspection, drive my car around, and tell me they didn't hear any noise. The noise is literally every day but not every time I drive it I explained. It might make the noise in the morning but might not make any noise later that night. I told the guy at the front desk that I can't just make it happen for them to hear it but I had video of it every day making the noise. He said that wouldn't help because they needed to see where it was coming from so I got fed up and explained that I paid almost a grand for this and no one's stepping up to fix it correctly. While I was waiting on my keys he ended up talking to, I guess, the manager while I wasn't looking and he came back to let me know they would redo my breaks for free. Soooo...I'm back, today, 4/2/20, on my 4th visit and they have me waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to pull my car in. I was 10 minutes early so I showed up at 11:50am and they pulled my car in at 12:30pm. I pulled my car into the parking lot and they had about 8 people outside playing football in the parking lot so they obviously didn't have much to do. At this point, anything they did was just making me upset so maybe I'm just nitpicking right now. It took about 1.5 hours for them to work on it and left around 2:05pm. The papers they gave me when I left said they aired my tires up to 35 but they didn't. I know because my front passenger tire was low when I took it in and it didn't change. They were rude and disrespectful by not wanting to listen and not really caring. I am thankful that they replaced them for me and for the guy who talked to the manager on my 3rd visit to get them replaced but it was a mess dealing with them. We took my wife's car to this place twice, 1 time for a new battery and cables and another time for brakes, 1 set resurfaced another replaced. The brakes squeezed from day one and thought it might get better, but no. Had it checked out by another place, there's nothing new on either set, but pads. Called inquiring on elderly neighbors vehicle being diagnosed for the park brake light staying on. Bradley (service manager) answered phone on 9/10/17 tells me that they do a free complete brake inspection. I told him that I checked the e-brake pressure switch, changed all the brakes, checked/drained brake fluid & replaced & specifically emphasized that the light was still on and did their free inspection include that. Was told "YES". Alvin (store manager) said "it will be $79 to pick up the vehicle regardless of what Bradley told you because this is my store & what I say goes" also referred to me as "listen DUDE" & a "lier". I asked for his area/regional managers info & he replied "you are not going to speak to him. I'm who you are dealing with" We will NEVER use this location as long as it is managed by this arrogant prick. My experience started off great. Everyone was nice and friendly. However I came in to get two new tires and when I left my car started to shake so I pulled over and that's when I noticed that they didn't securely put back on the bolts to my tire. I was unable to drive back up there so I called to see if they could send someone to my location to fix it I was put on hold for seven minutes. Finally when they answered they sent someone out and he secured the tire. I was terrified about the whole situation they did apologize about the situation. But when I called I felt as if they didn't really care that I could have been really hurt. With that being said I will not be revising any other Firestone locations. read more

Took my Honda to this store on 6/3/18 for AC problems- car blowing hot air only, and we were driving to Houston. I was quoted $1600 for a new compressor. When I asked that the old parts be saved for me once I authorized the repair, I was told I could not have them. This left me questioning their integrity. Today I took in the car to a Honda dealership and guess what- the compressor is perfectly fine. It did need another repair but it's also covered under a warranty. I could have been ripped off for $1600! I will never use this service company ever again nor do I wish someone else to be ripped off. read more

On 5/16/2020 I scheduled an appointment with the Rockwall Firestone to get an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, and lube the front suspension. I dropped it off. After about 40 minutes after I dropped the truck off, I got a call with some recommendations. No big deal. I asked that they get me a list of what they recommended together so that I could budget for it, they said fine, no problem. After picking up the truck, total disappointment set in almost immediately. First off, I noticed right away that my alignment, WAS WAY WORSE than when I dropped it off. All I wanted was the toe set to straighten the steering wheel. That didn't happen! Steering wheel was off center to the right before the "alignment". After he alignment it was off center to the left, AND, the truck pulls extremely hard to the right! On top of that, it feel like now, that the front tires are digging into the pavement, and when I turn it feels very unstable! Will not turn smooth at all! See good alignment reading on a screen, and a printout are great. But a test drive should have been done, which obviously was not! Next, the tire rotation I asked for. Pretty sure that didn't get done at all! Because the tire I put air in (L/F tire), before I drive the truck to Firestone, was still in the same position (L/F), before and after I picked it up. And I know this because I know it does leak air, and it's been almost a week now, and that same tire on the left front (L/F), needs air again! On top of that. They noticed a nail in that same tire that was "none repairable". It's not in the shoulder of the tire. It's not in the sidewall of the tire. It is is in the contact tread (the middle almost of the tire). SO why was it "Not repairable"? Next, My front shocks/struts. They were also noted to be replaced. Why? I was told, "due to age". SERIOUSLY??? There is ZERO driveability issues. ZERO, leaking. ZERO issues with the front shocks/struts! SO, literally they were recommended due to "age"! I don't think so!! So my next thought is, did my oil change get done??? Now, mind you, I've paid for all the serviced I listed at the beginning, less the alignment which I have lifetime, I have purchased previously. So what am I to think at this point? Obviously, I have total lost of faith in this branch. Second, I don't have ANY trust whatsoever in the abilities of the technician that "worked" worked on my truck! Next during me checking out to pick up my truck, NOTHING was talked about. NOTHING, was explained. All they did was take my money, staple my paperwork together and said have a nice day. That's it! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Ok, first off. I went in for a simple alignment (which I purchased the life time), and a state inspection. All was going well until a received my truck back. Got it home, found a couple issues. First was the steering rack and pinion outer boot clamp was mangled and left on the tie rod end, and in its place where the clamp should be was, a zip tie! Second, was the eccentric slide pin was pushed out. Per the tech, that told the advisor Mike, that he had to knock it out on purpose to get the alignment into specifications. Which when I looked at it after the fact there was still more adjustment left after the alignment was done. So there was ZERO need to even knock that pin out. So competency has gone out the window. That was my first visit. Second time to the Rockwall Firestone, I spoke with Mike the advisor once again. Came up to the store and had him look at it and take pictures to send the the store manager (Alvin). Came in a third time to talk to Alvin and of course they "are busy, all bays full". 2hr or more wait time. Mind you this was my first time into Firestone. Alvin was not helpful at all! Asked him to look at the truck to assess the damages. But Alvin is not a tech! So proceeded to "talk" to him about what was going on. He told me this happens all the time. He still would not come outside to look at it. He was basically full of reasons and excuses not to do anything or help. So now I'm working on my form and possibly final time to ever go to, at least this Firestone location to have it brought into the shop bay and have it assessed. Oh yeah, not by the tech that originally worked on it. So be aware of the Rockwall Firestone. They put damages in line just like everyone else. There is ZERO priority for getting damage repairs in immediately and getting it fixed and retaining customer/s and customer service. In my mind, damages should be TOP Priority! Not another scheduled appointment! Not just because it happened to me, but that would be WAY BETTER customer service than I just received! Oh, and since my first visit I have gotten poor customer service to begin with. But they were very much ok with taking my 200+ dollars for the services I requested. If services I've paid for are transferable I WILL be using a new location once the damages are fixed. And some may say these are small petty issues, but it is my daily driver. And it is my vehicle that should have come out in the same or better condition than it went into the shop bay. read more

Brought my car in the previous day and waited over 4hrs for the work to be done only to have the problem re-occur that same evening. The car stalled out and I had it towed back. Apparently the new part that was put into my car was defective and more than 4hrs later, I still have not been given an approximate time of completion. The manager apologized and provided a free oil change. However, considering the inordinate wait and the defective parts, I will not be bringing my car back.. Not even for an oil change. I am giving 1 star because I have had nothing but issues with this company. Alvin the store manager is rude, and treated me as if I was a liar. I bought 4 tires and had them installed at firestone after hearing such good things. I had my original never been off the wheel tires that came on my 08 tundra in my attic for many years after putting 22 in wheels and tires on my truck after I bought it. I now decided to put back on my original wheel but because of the long stay in the attic I chose new tires to have put on.. Firestone was the only ones to ever disassemble those wheels and tires. When I got my truck back my TPMS light was on. So the next morning I called and explained my issue and now they are saying that my truck never had tpms on my factory set and want me to by a new set of sensors. The truck had the sensors when I dropped the truck off but there is nothing ALVIN The Store Manager can do about it and he is not going to help me he said. A couple years ago we took my husband's truck in to get his tires rotated and balanced. They called us back saying the ball joints were bad and need to be replaced. It was about an $1800 quote. It sounded a little odd so we took it to another mechanic that my parents have used for many many year and he said there was't anything wrong with them! Today, I took my car in again for a balance and rotation (we only go there now for tires since we purchased the lifetime packages for them). They tried to charge me for it when I have the lifetime package. It took me arguing and the girl calling someone before they "found" that I actually did have that and should not be charged. I got a call from them a couple hours later saying that my car needed new tires AND guess what??? my ball joints needed to be replaced because they are worn and grease is coming out of them!!! Uhhh....isn't that supposed to happen?!?!?! Yeah, no thank you. Please just do what I asked and I will again, get my car checked out elsewhere! When I went in to get my oil changed I had a rep come out and ask what vehicle I was waiting on and when I replied a black F-150, was asked "Are you sure? Do you mean the dually?" which was insulting, but not a deal breaker, so I gave them another shot with the inspection only to be COMPLETELY ignored for several minutes after I walked in even though the rep made eye contact with me. He was obviously looking for something, so I didn't expect to be helped at that moment but a word of acknowledgement would have been nice. I was getting ready to leave when a different rep came in and helped me so I decided to stay since I was already there, but I will not be back. Made an appointment on Friday afternoon for noon the following Monday. Arrived at 11:30am, I always arrive early for appointments, walked in and advised the woman behind the register that I had a noon appointment, she went over items that needed to be serviced. She took my keys and asked me to have a seat and said she would go have my car brought in. After an hour, 1:00 pm, I looked outside in the parking lot and saw my vehicle was still parked where I parked it. I asked the lady that took my keys why my vehicle was still outside and not being worked on. She then went back to the bay area and had them bring my vehicle inside and assigned to a mechanic. At 3:00pm a different attendant called my name and said my behicle was ready. They had my vehicle for a total of three and one half hours for a state inspection, oil change and lube and a tire rotation. This is totally unexceptable. I do not blame the mechanics, but the front staff need to be trained in customer service. I have used this store for over 8 yrs and this is the only time I have ever had to wait past an hour and a half for the same service. This took place on Aug 1, 2016. read more

I had a flat on my Expedition yesterday, and my husband assured me that everything would be fine, as we have road hazard protection through Firestone. Well, when we got to Firestone, the tech told us that we actually did not have the protection that my husband was told at the time he purchased the tires. We had to go in this morning to speak with someone else. Alvin helped us, and my husband explained that we have had lots of work done there and with every set of tires, he always gets the road hazard. Alvin said that it was not in the system, so we would have to purchase the new tire, but he would give us a good deal on the road hazrd for the tires now. When I went to check out, he gave me the total and I looked at him like he must've had the wrong customer. My total should have been MUCH more than what he gave me. Alvin explained that he took care of the tire, and I was only paying for the road hazard for all of the tires and the balancing fee for the new one. It's nice to know that Firestone employs people that still believe in doing the right thing. Thank you, Alvin, and thank you, Firestone for doing the right thing!!! I have been using Firestone for 15 years. I have used the Rockwall location for most of those years. I had thought they were the best. Last year, Alex, who is a manager now, went above and beyond to provide excellent care and follow up with our vehicles. We have spent quite a bit there in the last two years. New tires, struts, brakes, oil changes etc. The visit today totally destroyed my opinion of the place. I Scheduled to have an oil change and get it checked out for any issues, etc. I dropped off this am. Got called to pick up at 11. I know they're busy, which is a big pain, but because I liked and trusted them, I would plan ahead and just drop off vehicles. I picked up vehicle. Upon checkout, I had to ask about vehicle's inspection. The young man checking me out told me there was only one note. That my dipstick was broken. Broken??? I asked how did it get broken. He then went and got another guy. They were not taking any responsibility. I told them they were the ones who always change my oil. He looked up my record, which revealed a lot of business and oil changes. He then said, go get a dipstick and we'll reimburse you. Ok, I was upset. Why do I have to go get a part you guys broke?? He said he didn't see it get broken so basically he was trying to please us because we have been longtime customers. I went and got a dipstick from dealer. Returned and opened hood to look at dipstick. It was broken off and lodged so that it would be impossible to check oil or add oil if it needed it. We voiced our concerns: How did he check the oil? How does he know he added enough oil? Etc. The guy said they would get it fixed. They get in my vehicle and rev vehicle up to bay where wheels and brakes squeak. We waited another 30 minutes in waiting area. He then let's us know that they're going to have to take a part off to get it out and he would call us when ready. We get a call about 30 minutes later. Car is fixed, they used some drill bit to dislodge the broken dipstick. It's ready for pick up. They took our receipt from dealer. Reimbursed only part cost not tax. The guy made several passive-aggressive comments and should not be dealing with customers. I am definitely done with this location. Today was supposed to be a simple oil change . Instead, they damage car, make me use my time to purchase the part they broke, make me stand for thirty minutes and then asked me to return later to pick up vehicle. Horribly managed location. On a side note, while I was waiting the extra thirty minutes in wait room, a lady and her young son came in and asked for assistance that her tires were losing pressure and thought she needed a tire. The same guy told her they were too busy to check her tire. She was obviously distressed and asked politely if someone could at least air her tires up so she could make it somewhere to get checked. They wasted my time! I made an appointment for Saturday 1/20/2018 at 9:00 am. The place was packed, no place to sit and no place to park my car in the lot. No one told me that I should just drop off the car and leave it there. Got there for just a small repair. Didn't know how long, what part needed, and I guess there is only one guy that knows what he is doing. I have run into that before. They do not hire the right certification mechanics. Could have been a long wait or maybe not. Had to check the car first. Again never told me about just leaving it there when making the appointment which would have solved everything. We could have brought another car to go back home and wait since their was no where to sit and wait. No options. I wasn't going to stand outside in the cold. They need to organize and tell customers to drop off car in advance, instead of trying to cram everyone in. Poor planning. I left and will not go back. No service was done on my car. Hmm - my struts are fine, Discount Tire just rotated my tires and said tires were good to go, and the dealership is changing my pads as I write this review - for $109 + Tax. Took my Saturn Vue in to have brakes checked after almost $1200.00, I thought everything was ok. But NO I loose a hubcap on the way home because the tech didn't put it on correctly. Then the brakes seized up and I loose another hub cap. I take it back to POS Firestone and they have it all afternoon. They replace half the parts they replaced before and tell me to bring it back the next day. I leave and the brakes seize up on the way home and I take it back the next morning. They have the car all day replace some more parts they already replaced and tell me when I pick up my car they don't know what the problem; just drive it till something breaks! I leave pissed off just to have the freaking brakes lock up again. I call them (Firestone) the clueless clerk takes a message and said someone will call me back. Guess! NO RETURNED CALL. I'm really pissed at this point, I check the brake fluid it's overfilled. I take the fluid down to where it is supposed to be and the brakes work fine. I was a first time customer (referred by a friend) - needed new tires. Originally quoted $900; by the time I left I ended up with a $1800 bill. I also asked them too do an alignment and change the oil. After I left - I noticed my seats and floor mats were so greasy ... I had to throw away the mats. New tires were on and the next day my electronic tire gages were reading low or off, the oil gage was not reset, and the tires weren't placed in the correct places to match the gage readers. After the inconveniences requested a refund on my lifetime warranty for the alignment on my new tires. Alexandra (front desk) - convinced me to come back and try them again for "better service". While she was very professional and kind - I was still put out by the constant recommendations for the of something to be replaced. I felt like all they wanted was to keep racking up my bill. When I returned the following day I requested that they change the tires into their correct positions, reset my oil gage, and make sure the pressure in my tires were at the correct %. When I arrived at 3:45 pm - I sat in the waiting room and watched other customers come and go - while I waited and waited - all while my car never moved from the spot I had parked it in. At 5 pm one of the service techs came in and told me he would check me out and that my car was ready. I looked at him and asked how could it be ready when it hasn't been touched or looked at? He seemed embarrassed and did show sincere acknowledgement about the fact that they had made another mistake. They finally took my car back and "checked everything out" - when I went out front and asked the tech if he had reset gages, and tires he said yes (in a dismissive tone). HOWEVER, when I got in my vehicle NOTHING had been changed! The 3 reasons I was there were not acknowledged for the 2nd time! It was the only reason I came back to this location to begin with! I immediately pointed out the fact that nothing was done (again) and sternly requested that he take it back in and fix the tires, the tire pressure, and the gages to read correctly! By 7 pm --- I was FINALLY on my out. Alexandra told me at my first visit that "they would take care of me" the next time I was in there for the inconveniences from this experience. Needless to say ... my "fix it" appointment turned out to be more of a mess than my first one! I am beyond discouraged about this place of business and will never recommend Firestone to anyone! I hate that I have this view on this business and usually don't go to this length to give bad ratings.
