I just drove in because the other location was booked up, they had a 30-45 min wait, but they got me in within 15 minutes. I just needed a patch on my rear driver side tire on my gt 350, the customer service was excellent with violet and doc. As soon as I asked if I could go watch the process they had no problem with it. They brought me back there, and even let me keep the front splitter fastener that was in the tire. While the wheel was off they let me shine up the inside of the rim that I never can get too. Was an easy 30 minute job, and they didn't scratch up the rim. The price for the service was much lower then i expected! Highly recommend these guys! read more

Showed up ten minutes early for an appt, only to wait over an hour past my scheduled appt time for routine maintenance. Two walk in's were helped almost immediately after arriving. I get that things happen fellas, but when you're fully staffed and I can see your employee at the kiosk screwing around on his phone, only be told "we're waiting on an available technician" it just reeks of unprofessional behavior. The folks at this location were very helpful when assisting me with my service request. I called ahead to ask beforehand about my service request and they were very knowledgeable and providing me with the information necessary after that, I drove my car to the shop since there was not that long of a wait and I did not have an appointment and even then they were able to get my car in and out within 30 minutes, which is awesome also because I had previously advised that I did have a prior appointment and would have appreciated if they would take care of my car as soon as possible to which they happily obliged, of course after taking care of the cars that were ahead of me so it was pretty fast pretty reliable service. I would definitely recommend stopping by here if you do have any issues my issue was minor. It was not that big, but they still helped an inefficient and timely manner which I really liked. read more

Do not go to Firestone if you expect honesty, reliability, and them actually being reasonable and that they will properly fix your car! It has been a week since my last service with them. I needed an engine coil replacement for my car as my engine light went on and that's what they told me the problem lied. My car shakes when idle due to these engine troubles. I dropped off my car at 8am on July 3rd in hopes they will handle things in a timely manner. Talking to Jim on the phone reassured me that I would be taken care of with a free diagnostic (since I visited them recently for other reasons). On that day I called them 6 hours later only to find that they never touched my car and I was told that "there are two cars ahead of you'. How is that possible? When I called Jim before to schedule my appointment for 8am that day I would think that meant I would be taken care of by now. They told me before closing that they replaced the coil and that I can come pick up the car. I picked it up, drove it home. After the 4th of July weekend (was out of town) I try to drive my car only to find that the engine light is back on and the car shakes again. I haven't had time to go back to talk to someone, but at this point I'll just go to someone else instead. I can't even afford to go to someone right away given the hours I work at my job right now. I spent about $300 for that "fix" and I feel ripped off. Never ever again. read more

We have gone to this location a handful of times for various reasons (new tires due to a flat tire, oil change and other maintenance needs). Every time we have gone in, we have had friendly service with very knowledgeable people. They do suggest different packages that you can purchase, but I have never felt pressured to purchase more than what I walked in for. They have been getting busier lately and they have been kind enough to let us know how long the wait would be for what we need. I would highly recommend giving them a call and making an appointment so you can see if they'll be able to take you in same day or the following day. They are fairly easy to get to, as they are right off of West Ave, surrounded by different food places and a few shopping centers. I will say that parking can get crazy (a bit of a smaller shop with a few parking spots in the front and a few in the back, but some street parking) and wish everyone luck, but they are worth trying to find parking. If you're going to be waiting for your car to be finished, they do have a seating area with a handful of seats and a television. I would say to bring something because it can be a bit of a wait (again worth waiting for because they are awesome!). I would highly recommend them for their customer service and for the work that they do. Give them a call if you have some car needs! read more

After recommending over $1200 dollars of unnecessary repairs - the 1 actual repair that was need was not completed. The reason was that one technician performed a tire rotation prior to the tire being replaced. Leaving the damaged tire still on the vehicle and a tire which was not damaged replaced. This repair also took 2 days for some unknown reason. When it was discovered that the tire was not replaced - a second trip back was met with rude combative behavior. The service advisor Mark Jimenez was very rude claiming how much he helped me by driving across town to pick a tire for an issue his team caused. Additionally, the Mark Jimenez also claimed that Firestone torqued the lug nuts down to 80 ft-lbs, only for me to discover that the break away torque was well over 165 ft-lbs. I've attempted to contact the corporate office for a separate issue but have not received a call back. Hopefully this review warns other customers to stay away from this location. read more

I made an appointment to get my oil done, state inspection, and headlight bulbs replaced. 1) I give it 2 stars only because I only had them fix my brakes (as needed to pass for state inspection) and they seem to be working great thus far. 2) When doing an inspection they said I needed a list of things needed to be done for my car (my car is old and does need some work so I completely understand this) I asked them outside of what I came for, what do I need to pass Inspection? They said the brakes. Ok cool. Paid over $700 which is to be expected for new brakes, oil change and new headlights. 3) Went to get my inspection done and was told my headlights were out..I was pissed since this was one of the things I went to Firestone for. 4) went back to Firestone for them to tell me that they didn't do it cause all I asked was for the brakes to be done..which doesn't make sense cause they changed my oil like originally asked..why not my brake lights as well? 5) I Apologized for the miscommunication and asked how much it would be to get my headlights fixed so I can pass inspection. He then said "oh you were looking to pass a state inspection???" Uuummmm yea duh wtf else kind of inspection am I looking to pass? He said it would cost $173 to get my lights done but to pass state inspections I need to get my right mirror fixed and my window fixed so it can go up and down. 6) First off by Texas law you don't even need windows to pass inspection yet alone if they work. Second you only need a rear view mirror and only one of your side mirrors functioning to pass inspection. 7) I went to Jiffy Lube and they fixed my headlights for $30. NOT $173. 8) I understand times are tough right now..but taking advantage is not ok. Thank y'all for the brakes but sorry not sorry..will not be going back to y'all again. read more

Got my front cv axles replaced at a Dallas Firestone. Within 2 months, found out my transaxle front left and right seals were torn and leaking transmission fluid because they installed the front axle wrong. Took my car to the Firestone in San Antonio at west Avenue and Blanco. They treated me so well. They were extremely patient and made every effort to fix the problem and do things right. Hector, Justin, and Ricky were amazing. My car front driver side cv axle got replaced, the seals were replaced, and my transmission fluid was topped of. Everything was covered by Firestone. No one ever contacted me, and when I arrived at the store, 6730 FM 78, San Antonio, TX, the young man told me I had no appointment. He indicated it was my fault for not making sure that I received a confirmation email. I showed him the email that said I would be contacted if there was a problem with the time. His name was Kyle and it took him over a week to call me when I was told it wouldn't be anymore than 48 hours. This company will rob you blind and then blame you for their mechanics fault. They were going to charge us 1268 for parts and labor for a blower motor and blower resistor... got both at autozone for 303.00 had another shop put them in for 150.00.... After driving over 1hr and 45min once I arrived, they wanted to charge me for the entire service even if the parts didn't needed to be replaced. I brought my car in to get a nail in the tire fixed. I had a photo of the nail in the tire but they swore to me that it was not there and talked down to me. It was not until I had them put it back up to check that they magically found it. I took my car to Firestone after having a poor experience at another auto shop. I needed to get my A/C fixed in my car now that it's warming up in SA. I talked with Joshua and he assured me they would take care of my car. Where I waited a day and a half for a quote from the first auto shop, Firestone had my car ready to go after 4 hours! Oh yeah, did I mention they fixed my A/C, replaced my radiator hoses, did a coolant flush, and changed my oil all for 1/3 the price the other shop quoted to just fix my A/C? I left the truck of the compnay that i work to tires rotation and inspection. when i run the truck the steering wheel doing a shake before dont do that and the wiper water plugs out. I had to reconect that plugs to use the water in my windshield. I come back to resolve the steering wheel shake and their dont do nothing the shake are worst. i dont recomend that store. read more

They still completed and charged me for oil change. 2 different guys helped me and the main guy behind the counter was racist and very condescending towards a female that came in needing help with her vehicle. Definitely do not go here. Not worth the $100 oil change that I was charged for. I was just told "oh sorry, I didn't know that." Poor communication between employees. I've been coming to this Firestone (West Ave) for over a year. They've always been kind and professional and gotten my vehicle going in good time, even working double time to procure parts from other locations. Last Saturday, they performed a near miracle. My alternator decided to die at 3:30. I called ahead while waiting for AAA, and Jim and Sergio got the part and had it ready when the tow truck got us there at 5:00pm. Three guys under the hood showed they were serious about getting it fixed before closing and I was on my way just after 6:00. Not only that but the battery was replaced under warranty because they didn't want to take a chance on me being stranded later on. I highly recommend this store. Thank you, fellas! read more

Very nice people and fast service. I went in for basic tire rotation, checkup, etc., and was out in less than half an hour, even with no appointment. The staff is friendly, they have satellite TV and they give you the channel changer, and they have free wifi. Great air conditioning in the waiting area, too. I didn't mind the short wait at all. So came for an inspection not my usual go to place but It was suggested. In and out in a breeze Jim helped me in and out in a breeze as I got to get my sticker they inform me that the vin was not correct on the proof of inspection which should have matched the one listed on my proof of insurance. I call back pretty annoyed and I get the pleasure (so sarcastic might I add) of talking to Sergio.Let me add that he was extremely rude and gave attitude when I expressed how frustrated I was that I had to drive all it back just to get this problem fixed when I was informed I can be done over the phone. Not at the least be taking accountability or showing any sort of empathy. He was very rude even coming in I saw him getting frustrated with the registers shoving it open and close like it was stuck. Don't go here if you are a woman. I was buying two new tires and asked to have the rear tires rotated diagonally to the front. I was told that my tires were most likely directional tires and they couldn't be rotated without too much work. So instead of checking they just did it how they wanted. They attempted to add the tire guard on my bill without talking about it and said I needed an alignment and a camber bolt. I told them that I would have nissan take a look at it and was told that the dealership wouldn't be able to install the camber bolt. Why? Why wouldn't the dealership be able to service my car better than you? read more

There's a lot of good mechanics out there but that doesn't mean all of them know how to be professional or even honest... With that being said, every time I've been to this Firestone they have alway been professional & honest and that's why I don't take my car anywhere else. They don't push anything that don't need to be done to you car and if they do recommend you fix something they don't pressure you into doing it they let you know how much it is and that they're there to fix it anytime you're ready. read more

I didnt know why this store got good reviews. I got trick by those reviews and made a HUGE mistake. I walked in the store and asked the price for alignment for 4 of my wheels. Since I have been customer of Firestone for 4 years, I thought all the place would be nice and polite but just found out they didnt. This store was rude, they put your expectation down. I did my research for price before I came. The other Firestone on Babcock gave me good price but it was far away from my house so I thought I gave a try to this store. This location was wonderful. As a woman you need to be wary when it comes to things like this unfortunately. But the employees here were welcoming and helpful. I felt heard and taken care of. Mike was very sweet and attentive. I was just in for a routine oil change and was given the discounted price before even showing my coupon. They also did my state inspection quickly and pulled codes for my engine light, and were able to tell me what the problem probably was for free. And they didn't try to fix it themselves.
