As my husband would say, "You had one job." We took our new car to Jiffy Lube for its first oil change. Absolute disaster! Two days after the service we noticed oil under the car. We thought maybe it was the runoff or that it had drained down the block. We were patient. However, the oil wasn't a little - it was a lot. We took the car back and here were the different answers we received: sometimes the plug backs itself out, they didn't want to strip the threads so they didn't tighten it and sometimes this just happens. What? Unfortunately, we now also have our new car making a new noise and no confidence in this establishment. I feel compelled to warn others only because a car is such an expensive investment to have a company demonstrate such little care and attention to detail when doing their ONE job. read more

Stay away from this shop. Went in for an oil change and told them that I don't need anything else than an oil change. They came back and stated I need a radiator flush and black fluid replacement rolled them no and they were upset. Took the car home and they did not replace all the screws and fasteners they removed which were not needed to be removed for an oil change. They also did not fully tighten the oil nut and had a leak of oil. Stay away and go to the dealer. read more

There was also a "shop supplies" charge of $9.99 and other incidental fees on the invoice, and my steering wheel was covered with grease and dirt after the vehicle was serviced. Do not go here!!! They did my oil change and replaced my cabin and air filter, then never reattached a hose that controls the gas and throttle I'll attach a picture of it. I had to call a mobile mechanic after having it died when I got the mail. Luckily it was an easy fix but I'll never go back there. read more

Went in for an oil change. Afterwards the mechanics told me the drain plug that I had in there was wrong and they put a correct one in. After driving about 5 miles my car lost all oil pressure. Upon further inspection oil was leaking rapidly from the drain plug. After removing it I saw that the oil was filthy like they hadn't even replaced it. As well as the threads of the drain plug now being stripped. So now I have to replace the oil pan which will cost a good $2,000. read more

Went to get an oil change, talked into a tire rotation, brake fluid replacement. Pressured twice to replace filters. 2 HOURS later my car was just sitting outside. I asked if it was ready and told "No, it's still being worked on" waited another 20 minutes, no work being done. Asked what the wait was for (ready to cancel remaining services) response was "Let me check. Oh! Are these your keys right here?? (ON the desk)" Yes they were. Car was ready and no one there bothered to tell me, review it with me, tell me how the brake inspection was or what they actually did. Went in for inspection, left because they were trying to add on things that worked fine but to them "failed" such as adequately working wipers. It's happened before when I've not been able to go to my usual mechanic and I try to get something done, they try to add on work or say something is wrong when it's not. This is the first time I used this Jiffy Lube and I'll not make that mistake again. Let me give y'all the run down. I got an oil change, air filters were changed, I asked for new wiper blades and tires to be rotated. I was charged $230.00 and for what?? They didn't inflate my tires like I asked, didn't top off fluids, didn't reset the oil change meter, didn't get new wipers blades installed. Most of these services are supposed to be included. They did however wash my windows and left the dirty water that dripped and ran down on my car. they scratched my rim and will do nothing about it. Shane's the man! We had trouble with the back seatbelt on our 2020 Chevy Traverse where our sons car seat is. We took it to the Chevy dealership which they easily wanted to charge us over $800 not including oil change and it would've taken them over 4 hours. We went here and they fixed the seatbelt in 15 min and an oil change in less than hour and way less than $800! This place has worked on both our Chevy's and now I don't want to go anywhere else! Brought my own oil and filter expected more of a discount, however, I wasn't too mad about the price. The reason why I rated it 2 stars is because they didn't take care of my car that was being serviced. I have oil stained on my door panel and hand prints on my hood from when they closed it. They didn't bother to try wiping it off. Also under my hood they had oil smeared on my engine cover, again, probably from the same hands that left prints on my hood. Went about two weeks ago - got an oil change, replacement for my filters and windshield wipers -- and thankfully I haven't had to drive in the rain since ... today as I'm driving to work on the freeway, my wipers got stuck three separate times, which was super bizarre because they've never done that before, pulled over each time to fix them, only to realize that one was in fact completely broken this entire time!! By the third time I realized it was wasted effort! Had to drive without being able to use my wipers. This is soo dangerous- why install a broken/damaged wiper on someone's vehicle?! First time in today... Will be my last! Went in for an oil change and inspection today. Noticed there weren't any adults in charge or present. What I mean by that... is that I was greeted by a young guy, another checked my oil, another did the inspection etc.. So basically a bunch boys running the joint. Which gave me pause, because I used to be one! I know how they think and work and with that comes lack of attention to detail and lack of professionalism. It wasn't long before I saw a few of them on their phones as just lolly gaggin. The guy who greeted me and did all the talking (think his name is Hector) had very poor people skills and at one point told me he had to get back to work when I was asking him questions. I guess my questions weren't that important or maybe he just didn't want to deal with me. Here's where the attention to detail or lack of came into play. You see my vehicle had 29,020 miles when I brought it in. The work order (#6283) read Mileage: 26,019 with an oil change interval of 5000. Here's the rub.... I paid for their signature synthetic PZL Platinum oil SAE 0W20 which cost $99.99 and would last for 7000 miles right.. you with me so far? When I was given the little window sticker that act's as a reminder for the next oil change it read 31,019. I looked down at my odometer (29,020) and was like... HUH?? So I have to bring my car back after driving only 2000 miles! So of course I brought this to Hectors attention and he couldn't come up with a reason for the mistake other than saying the mileage details can sometimes be off. So if this had played out and let's say I or anyone else for that matter who wasn't paying attention went back for another oil change after only 2000 miles, we would be off by only 5000 MILES! Cause remember, I got the fully synthetic blend and it's good for 7000 miles. So I really shouldn't have to return till 36,020. So... I'll leave the speculation up to you the customer but it sure looks to me like these guys are trying to run a scam at this Jiffy Lube. But wait.. it get's better! As I was reviewing my Vehicle Inspection Report, the mileage shows 29,751which is little closer and only off by 731 miles! Also the license plate number is way off. My last four are 6767 and on the report it shows 4646. I also questioned Hector about this and his response was "Oh they don't pay attention to that report anyway". This place is a joke! read more

Owners of performance vehicles or those with exhausts will benefit most from this review. I took my modified vehicle in for a simple inspection. The vehicle that went before me was a minivan, so there was no unusual engine noise or engine revving when Marcus Reyes (inspector) was driving or inspecting the car. FYI Marcus, your name is printed on the inspection report. When Marcus drove my car, he decided to rev the motor to a high rpm for no reason at all. Luckily I had already brought the engine up to operating temp. before getting there, since it has aftermarket valve springs that may be prone to snapping (breaking) when cold and the motor is revved high. These factors don't matter to irresponsible and immature Marcus who took no shame in revving my car when parking the car, which was right after I had paid while I was in the office. Who knows what he did during the test drive. The issue appears to be systemic at this location, because when I asked his manager to explain the behavior, he looked at me with guilty eyes (pupils widening as the engine revved up) and said he didn't hear anything. If you want to risk taking your modified vehicle/engine to this location, then I'd recommend making sure you're mitigating risk (e.g., bringing the motor up to operating temp.) before handing over your keys. I now choose to go to one of their competitors. read more

Where does one start, We moved to San Antonio a year ago and was told to use this place. They said the guy was a good guy that managed it. We used it for oil changes and other services. We needed tires both our vehicles. My husbands stopped by, they said they would need to be ordered. That was not a problem. He took off work to get them. After sitting there for 4 hours. He was told sorry we ordered the wrong set. I went the next day and waited for a couple hours and was told they had not come in. Why let us wait. They told me to come back after 4 pm And they should be there. Not a problem, so I ordered my tires. Got my with an issues. I go back at 4 pm and still no tires. So a call was made. 2 hours later we had tires. I was only given a discount of the express delivery of the tires(not my fault ya'll could not order it right). Had a conversation with the Manager. Explain them a loyal customer and really have been put out by this. He said to give us another chance. Fast forward to today. I go in for a oil change and I have my tires rotated and balanced since I had will be traveling. I've driven my car very much as usual due to Covid and being at home for several months, but the road out here are pretty bad due to construction. I was told by the same manager that my brakes were really bad and I needed rotors due to letting them go to long and should have had them replaced a long time ago. I asked him why did no one tell me when I got new tires a couple of months that needed brakes then? Now all the sudden my brakes are completely in need new and need rotors? I was really upset, not mention the $900.00 price tag for my total service....and 2000 ish bucks for née tires a few months ago. Apparently if you're really pretty,female they'll give you a good discount. But if you like you little bit of money, they make sure you pay. Run away from here! Today they lost a family of vehicles. Honestly takes advantage. Significant other went in for 3 things and they stacked on more items saying that it was necessary and that it was in the car manufactures suggestion to replace items. Funny thing is the car was taken too a dealership for work 6 months ago and they said nothing. They also tacked on radiator fluid fill and replace and I was told when I called over the bogus work that the radiator fluid was so low there was barely any... We had just done 12 hours of driving to florida each way the previous week. Sounds very suspicious. Neither me or my partner have ever had a problem with a Jiffy Lube before, but this has turned us to stay away. What was a $450 expected pay turned into $900. The man on the phone said he didn't even charge full price for all items. Wonder how this franchise owner feels about that.
