I normally go to IPAC to get my car serviced, but I had an appointment a few hours afterwards that would be closer to this location so I thought I would try it out. Making an appointment was quick and convenient and they sent me an email reminder which was nice. I also saw that they had a $39.95 oil change coupon on their site - who doesn't like saving some money? I arrived right at my appointment time at 7am and I was seen very quickly. What I like about North Park in comparison to IPAC is that they have a great waiting area. They have lots of seating including lazy boy chairs with a big screen TV, complimentary snacks and drinks, and an "internet cafe". I liked being able to see right into the service area and watch my car being serviced. I liked that my service representative, Walter Gomez, wasn't pushy at all but he provided me with a list of services and their prices that I could have done at a later date. While I waited for my oil change I was able to get some work done using one of the computers at the internet cafe. My vehicle was ready in one hour which is awesome. I usually have to wait longer at IPAC, even with an appointment. Even though this location is further from my house, the experience that I had was great, so I will definitely be coming here for future services for my mazda. read more

Had some flooding here and it a flooded bridge literally tore that cover from underneath my car. Thankfully I worked nights when it happened and discovered it before heading home that morning. I'm new to the area so I had Apple Maps direct me to the closest Mazda and I ended up here. I was tired so I was able to leave my car and they had someone drive me home. The downside is that the service person wrote my number down wrong so while I forced myself to stay up hoping everything would be resolved before I go to sleep, it was afternoon before I realized it and checked my email. No harm no foul and stuff happens. Thankfully they were so thorough and obtained an email too. They actually sent me a video of what was going on with my car and the inspection (extra service I requested with oil change). Unfortunately it wasn't a simple fix and the cover had to be replaced but they had it in stock...well they did. Apparently, the time it took for us to make contact, the part was sold. Now it gets complicated because I had to work that night. New city, I need my car. Thankfully, they had one courtesy car left and they sent someone to pick me up so I had a car for work. First time getting a courtesy car and I never knew it would feel like a bigger deal than renting one. All in all, my car was fixed the next day. The service team was awesome and I appreciate the technician from the northeast who drove me home for being super friendly and giving me heads up on places to eat. I'm not happy my car needed servicing but I'm glad I ended up here. They took good care of me and Storm. Yeah, my CX-5's name is Storm. read more

I purchased a vehicle from North Park Mazda end of May 2021 and was waiting to write a review in the hopes they would make things right but has not happened so far. The only good thing out of my experience was, getting a vehicle with good mileage and reasonable price. It was exactly what I had been looking Ford in criteria. The process itself was the worst experience I ever had when purchasing a car. My sales man was Mike. There are multiple things that went wrong with my experience. From the moment I called them to when I came in I was very clear that I had a bank pre approval letter to get a loan. It was a great rate and I was not looking to get a competitive rate or apply with another bank. Be aware of what they have you sign. Mike knew I was already pre-approved and he filled out an application to run my credit. I thought this was an application to purchase the vehicle and made the mistake to not read it. The manager run my credit. Mike never verbally ask if I wanted to find another rate or I was never even aware they run my credit until the next days I checked my credit report. I contacted them multiple times to get this taken care of but as of now even though they said they would try to get it removed or change to a soft pull nothing has happened. Second thing that happened was I had to wait for car to be detailed and inspected, during this time I didn't get calls with updates on the status of car and when I would be able to pick it up. I had to reach out. They said Mike was supposed to have called me but never did. Third- after waiting for car to be ready when I picked it up it was not clean properly. There was nothing that detailed. I had to leave out of San Antonio and could not ask them redo it so I pay myself to have it detail. Last straw was today, I been waiting for my license plate and registration, Mike said they would arrive to my address. They are about to expire so I called them and they said they have them. I never received a call they were ready to be picked up. They said they would mail them to me by today and we will see if that happens. They have just not been able to deliver on excellent customer service . read more

I like to go to the dealer because they always nice ,however this time I went because my seatbelt was not clicking . This is a safety issue ,the mechanic told me a peace of plastic however that plastic is from the seat buckle . Why do I have to pay to fix a safety issue . When I got my car the another representative told me that they usually only take 1hr for labor so I paid 2hrs is unfair . I purchased my vehicle with a 3 year service contract from this dealership. I had never had a problem until the end of my contract. When I took my vehicle in for it's final service appointment, they told me my contract expired the previous month, so I would have to pay out of pocket for the service. The service advisor made no attempt to help me get this situation resolved or offer to make it right. When you go to a dealership for maintenance, you do so for better customer service not lower price. I feel completely swindled. read more

This was my first time at this Mazda location since moving from CA. There really is nothing to complain about! Customer service was great. It's also pretty awesome that they have free coffee, soda, and bottled water for customers. Also, their waiting area is quite large and I was content just browsing on my laptop while waiting for my oil change. I also like that they gave recommendations on what I should get on my next visit along with the projected prices. Melina was also very helpful with some of my questions. This review is for their service department only. I had my Mazdaspeed3 serviced here several times and the customer waiting area was excellent! There were plenty of comfy chairs and computers to keep you occupied while you wait. Coffee and donuts were available free of charge as well as soda and water. The work bay area was visible from large glass windows inside and was always clean and professional. Joshua, my service tech was always thorough and attentive. The only complaint I had is the wait time for an oil change (or something simple) was usually several hours. read more

Had my regular car checkup today and as usual it was a breeze. I chose to wait while my car was serviced because they really get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time for routine maintenance. The waiting area is very plush with large overstuffed sofas and chairs, tvs, coffee station, free snacks, and a play area for the kids. Also, I truly appreciate the conference after my service is finished when my service rep, Santiago, tells me what extra service is coming up, its cost and probable timing so that I can plan on that expense and not just have it sprung on me. Nothing but praise for North Park Mazda. Needed a CPO car for my youngest daughter. Submitted a request through USAA's online buying service to look at two cars and got an immediate e-mail response. Esposa and I made an appointment to meet the sales representative. On arrival, he had both cars parked in the shade with engines running and the AC nicely cooling off the cars. He introduced himself and then left us alone to peruse the cars. Only after we were done kicking the tires did he return to give us the low-down on each car. We took one for a test drive and we really enjoyed it. We picked a car and arranged to purchase it following day. Amazingly, he held it for us at NO COST. I returned today with my daughter for the purchase. The car was nicely prepped. The entire sales process was LOW PRESSURE and seamless. Every salesperson we interacted was laid back and pleasant. The business manager was a bit stiff, but managed to find us a lower rate for my daughter than offered by USAA. This is the second excellent experience we've had with a North Park dealership in the past 6 months. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

I brought the new vehicle I purchased from here for SERVICE, it's first oil change and vehicle inspection last week. (Disclosure, I have a year worth of free oil changes so that's why I come here.) The service was good. I have only used one other dealership for service, Cavander Toyota, so that's my only baseline to compare to. The service was done within an hour, about 45 min I think. This was daytime during the week. They don't have the same amenities as Cavander Toyota what with all the free cookies, doughnuts and such that Cavander offers, but they treated me well. Always excellent service at NPM. I took my CX5 in for an oil change and they automatically check for everything. Come to find out I had a nail in one of the tires. I've been here a few times to have my oil changed on my Mazda. I basically only come when they send a coupon for a $19.95 oil change. I always schedule an appointment and always come on a weekday but end up waiting over an hour every time. They offer shuttle service but I don't like leaving my car and having to wait for someone to come pick me back up just for an oil change. The waiting area is comfortable and they offer free soda and coffee. The staff is also polite and helpful. I'd only take my car here for an oil change if they offer a discount. Otherwise, it's not worth the time or money. read more

We've been very happy with both the service department and the new car experience. Everyone we've worked with has been professional and courteous. The service department folks keep us informed of the progress of our cars; they have a nice waiting area or offer shuttle service if dropping off. The new car buying experience was probably the best we've ever had--Mike Anderson was excellent. I took my 2011 CX-7 in to have the transmission looked at after my car became stuck in 2nd gear and would not shift. I made an appoint a week in advance for Friday morning. I figured the dealership would know best right? Was I wrong. After an 8 day wait, I was told by the service manager, Melina, that the entire unit needed to be replaced only telling me there was "severe internal damage". She could not elaborate beyond this statement. This would have cost me in the neighborhood of $4,600 so I decided to get a 2nd opinion. When picking up my vehicle, I discovered the service team removed my undercarriage shield and not only failed to put it back on after their inspection but I was missing all of the screws that secured it in place, forcing me to make a trip back to the dealership to retrieve them. I took it to a local transmission shop (Precision Transmission on Highway 90) to have them look at it. They were able to quickly inform me that the front planet had physically separated and caused the transmission to go into a "fail safe" mode to prevent further damage. The Manager on duty (Ron) told me they would only need to replace the front planet and a few other parts that were damaged as a result of the failure of that part and I would be on my way. I was back on the road in only 5 days and for thousands of dollars less than Mazda wanted to charge me for an unneeded service. I usually don't post online reviews but I felt people needed to know to avoid the service department at this location. read more

I have been getting my Mazda serviced at North Park since I bought the car brand new there in 2011. Today I brought it in because the 'check engine' light came on this past Friday. I feel as though they were completely trying to take advantage, telling me that TWO sensors had gone out at the same time, costing me over $850. I continued to probe for more information because it didn't seem likely that two would, all of a sudden, fail to work. Turns out, only one was failing. It was fixed for $550 and my 'check engine' light is no longer on. I fail to see the value of lying to loyal customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

The waiting no area is very comfortable, with computers, beverages and super comfy chairs. I have been here for three service appointments and the customer service has been great so far. Love their Service Department. You feel welcome, are treated as an individual and not "one of the herd". Santiago usually is my advisor and he is great to explain what is needed and what to do in the future. The waiting area is nice and clean with drinks etc. although donuts or snacks would be nice.
