I have been trying to resolve an ongoing "auto repair gone wrong" for my mother since February 3rd & have exhausted all avenues. My Mom drove into Firestone 4060 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34233 on 02/01/20 with a 2004 Kia Optima "running a little rough". She was told it would cost about $200, She was waiting for the car & was told they needed more time. They took her home. They continued to put her off & 3 to 4 days later the store called her & told her the engine had blown & it was not drive-able. Firestone gave her a rental car for 3 days to look for & take out a loan to buy another used car. They also "forgave" her the $1400 bill that would have been if they hadn't blown her engine. I want to get the word out that Firestone admitted they "did something wrong" & will not review the "recorded tapes" admitting that. They also are not willing to give her anything for a destroyed car or fix the car. The car has been sitting dead at the Firestone lot since February 1st, 2020. I have gone all the way up to the CEO sending a certified letter. Of course I'm sure Mr. Ferrari didn't look at it but it was assigned to Diamond Milan. After 4 months of poor customer service, delays & no empathy whatsoever on Firestone's part Mr. Milan writes: After review, our decision does remain the same. We are not in the position to provide assistance towards the repairs for the vehicle. This decision was based off the documents you provided, the invoice from Firestone Complete Auto Care, and the inspection report from Vanguard. I say: How do you go into a repair shop with a car that is running rough & has 61K miles & then the engine is blown? They say they didn't do it...How do you say it is my Mom's fault when she drove the car into your shop? Firestone made it HER problem not theirs. Not a business I want to deal with. BUYER BEWARE. I stopped in on a Wednesday to have my AC checked with no appointment. They took a quick look and suggested I come in on Saturday and have it checked. They were offering a $9.99 special. I agreed to the appointment. A few months ago, I had checked the price of an AC replacement with my car dealer and was quoted a little under $800. I came in on Saturday and they performed the check. I needed a new compressor and the pigtail harness was shorting out and would need either repair or replacement. I asked for a quote. Charles provided a quote higher than the dealer. I called the dealer while there and, now armed with specifics, requested another quote. They came in at $876 without quoting the pigtail harness. Charles agreed to match the quote and fix it the next day. On Sunday I dropped the car off. They completed the repairs and I had my air conditioned ride back the same day. I would highly recommend them to anyone. By the way, they did not charge me for the $9.99 AC check and had waived that fee before I agreed to have them do the work. They showed integrity and I appreciate that. read more

First heard them bashing subarus wrx and sti's while we were sitting there waiting for our alignment. As we are sitting there the guy proceeds to rev our engine multiple times and then hauled ass out of the parking lot. Took our car for a joy ride while we were sitting right there! Comes flying back in and pulls up to a bay and is all smiling and yells at this guy to get in so he can see the problem. I promptly took the keys and the guy tells me that he needed to drive it because it has a problem with the boost which we had told them not to look at anything but the alignment. We have a data log of his "test drive" that proves he was toying around in our car and hitting red line. read more
