BE WARNED! This place says one thing and does the opposite. Took car in for oil change and tire rotation. Picked up car 3 hours later after they called to say it was done. Checked my tires and they clearly hadn't been rotated- ALL WERE IN THE SAME LOCATION. Walked back in and asked the service advisor Kyle if they'd rotated the tires and checked the brakes and he looked over the service ticket and said "yes, we sure did". When I let him know I'd marked the tires and that the marks were still in the same place he said it must be a technician issue and that they probably didn't rotate them due to a sizing difference. Complete BS because the tires are all the same size AND their paperwork clearly showed they rotated AND CHARGED me for rotating and also showed they inspected the brakes. This place is crooked and I will NEVER BE GOING BACK HERE. BE WARNED!! I'd give zero stars if that was possible. read more

I went there for a complete transmission service and take that transmission filter out n replace the fluid and oil change but when I got my car I asked the gentleman at the counter how was my transmission when they took the filter out and he said it was fine and when I got home what car was slipping like it never did before and I called back they said they just fluid exchange but I said I don't want to exchange I want the whole service but The guy just hung up and and I try to call back and it was just rude to me so I'm not going back there again trying to figure out if I can go to another mechanic see what's going on not very professional read more

I took my car in because I was smelling a burning smell. Dustin greeted me at desk and was very professional, friendly, helpful, even a bit funny (answering my girl car questions) He made sure I had coffee and remote to watch TV. I was even happier when he informed me there was WIFI. Dustin rocks!! After diagnostic came back I found out I had two leaks. Kyle then informed me he could get done right away. Since it was going to take a few hours I decided to come back and get car end of the day. Then Jesse called with bad news that I had to replace a caliper and bearing. He was very informative and understanding when I started to get a little upset. What I did not know is they had already called Enterprise and had loaner car being dropped off at no charge to me. I was shocked. Dustin called me the next morning to update me on progress. He asked if I had any questions are concerns. THANK YOU all the staff at Firestone on 1st in Burien. My car all good and the customer service was above and beyond. I will highly recommend this store for any car needs. They gained a loyal customer out of me! read more

Truly disappointed. I came to them to put tires onto my '06 Outback XT, and I also wanted metal valve stems installed (which they stated on their website that they offered). What they actually carried were rubber stems with a decorative metal sleeve...ok, but they never mentioned it and I didn't notice until after installation...so this is off to a great start with either misrepresentation, or a lack of knowledge of industry standard parts. After calling them back about it, it then took half a day for them to find the part I wanted, which was available and in stock from Autozone (one of their local sources) just 2 blocks away....and I had to be the one to tell them about it, for they asked Autozone to ORDER them the wrong part...which would be 2 days for delivery. After straightening that out, they acquired the correct part from Autozone, and I brought the car back to have the stems installed...it is now 3pm at this point (with my initial appointment at 9am)...At 4:30 I had to ask them if my car was ready, for it was sitting in the parking lot for over a half hour, but no one told me it was done. I noticed it shortly after 3:45, but I sat there to see if they would attend to me, or if maybe the car was just out of the bay for a reason (but not complete)...but at 4:30, I just had to ask...and yes, the car was done, but they had just forgotten about me. On top of this, there was a lot of white shmoo all over my wheels and tires after the initial installation, and when I brought the car back I mentioned this, and they informed me that they would happily clean it off (apologizing for having not done so originally), but after all was said and done, it was still all there...dried...and it took me over 45 minutes with a brush and soapy water clean it off after getting home. And this isn't all!!! While washing my tires and wheels from their shmoo, I decided to inspect the valve stem installation...all, and I repeat, ALL locking nuts were loose...like I could spin them with my fingers loose! That is also when I noticed the scratches on my wheels around the stems...soooo, they used a tool (which damaged my wheels), but still didn't get them tight?!?!? Pretty unbelievable. The bottom line...if you don' care much about details and care for your car, this is the place for you, but if your car is your baby, don't bother with these folk...They will never see my car again.... read more

Worst alignment ever! Before i took my car in my car drove straight, but since i just got new tires, i thought i would get my alignment done as well. bad move in bringing it to the burien firestone. After the alignment my car would constantly steer to the right.. According to the person in the front it was because of the front pulley and the new tires, which he advised me to go back to the tire shop and get it fixed. When i talked to the mechanic he told me that theres no point in taking it back to the tire shop. So now im stuck with a car that curves to the right. I should have known better since this happened to my friend when he took his car to the firestone. For him they blamed it on Rt torque steer. My advice is to avoid this firestone. I would recommend the one on martin luther king jr way since my friend had better luck with them and corrected his alignment. read more

They always do what I ask, with a warranty, and I have a record work done on my car. They let me know if there's anything else wrong with my car that might cause me problems in the near future. These guys are professionals and they work hard. Always my first choice for tires brakes oil changes and whatever other work they do on cars. If I could give a lower star I would. Both times I came to this place the experience was terrible. My 1st visit was to repair a nail in my tire. In which one of the managers told me it would take an estimated 1-2 hours. It actually took 4 hours only to be told they couldn't repair the issue. Entire day wasted in firestone. My next visit came a week later, while attempting to repair my tire I told them I would return to have my brakes done. Being a man of my word I did just that. I called and scheduled a 10am appt for my brakes. After dropping my car off on time the manager told me it would take 2-3 hours....it literally took them all day. 30 min after dropping the car off, the manager calls and tells me they ordered the wrong parts. Car wouldn't be ready til 2-3pm. Minor inconvenience to me at this point so I told them I understood. Around 3pm I get another call from firestone, this time they are adding on various irrelevant issues to which I agreed to have done. They then told me those parts would be installed immediately. Not only were the parts not in shop, but they were unable to obtain them entirely. This place closes at 6pm....they call me at 5pm to pick up the vehicle. Upon arrival, I'm notified that I've been charged for services they didn't perform. Apparently the guy writing tickets isn't authorized to give refunds. Not only did they have my car alllllllllll day, but charged me for things they didn't even install. That alone blows my mind. I am then advised to come back the next day to have a manager refund me the money owed. Another inconvenience. After wasting an entire day waiting for these guys to finish my car, I paid and wanted to get out of there. One last thing....the car wouldn't start. This place says they have a policy in place to check all batteries. What they don't tell you is if your battery is located in the trunk and you have items in your trunk, they will NOT do a battery check. My battery was fully operational before coming to this place, and now suddenly it's bad. 30 min to closing and I'm stuck on their lot. Now the mechanic wants to do a battery check and tells me they the battery is failing. Would have been nice to know before adding in the irrelevant issues in the 1st phone call. So here I am practically stranded in their lot, with one option, buy another battery at $284. I went in expecting to pay $550, and left paying close to $900. Talked to the manager the next day (Max) hoping that he would understand the major inconvenience his shop put me thru, that wasn't the case at all. Tried to give me a free oil change voucher on my next visit. Claimed that's all he could do for me. I hate that I gave this place a 2nd chance. But I will NEVER go back here under any circumstances. I normally don't write reviews, but if I can save someone else the headache of dealing with these guys then I will do just that!!! read more

Although sometimes I have to wait in line, I keep coming back for service. The customer service is good and they deliver what they promise, also have good coupons on line. I would like to be clear that this is a review for A SPECIFIC LOCATION. I have had a long-standing relationship with Firestone and have mostly had good experiences. But this was the first visit to the BURIEN location and ... (a) I will not be back, and (b) I will seriously consider going to the competition in the future just on principle. Short version of what happened .... Gave my daughter a 1998 Saturn coupe for her 16th birthday. A week or so later she came out to a slashed tire. She called AAA and, at my urging, they towed her to the Burien Firestone to get the tire replaced. While she was there, I spoke to the "Acting Manager" (the actual Manager was off at the time) and explained that this was her first visit to a repair facility, that it was important to me that it go well, and that they should take care of her like she was THEIR daughter. They didn't! :( Despite having every opportunity to look at the other tires while she was there (which the Firestones I've gone to in the past ALWAYS do; even when I'm just there for an oil change), they just did the bare minimum, simply replacing the tire and sending her on her way. Roughly 10 miles down the road, another tire went flat because whoever had slashed her tire had actually slashed TWO tires; one just took longer to go flat. The slash itself was VERY NOTICEABLE (to someone who knows tires and isn't a 16-year-old girl). THANK GOD the tire went flat in a parking lot and didn't blow out on her when she was on the freeway or worse. Despite my reservations, AAA towed the car back to the same Firestone and they sold her a SECOND new tire (which is fine). The next day I got a feedback survey, expressed my displeasure, and said that they were welcome to contact me to discuss the feedback. However, I made it VERY CLEAR in the feedback form that I could not receive calls during "office hours" and that they should EMAIL ME instead. Showing that he cares about his customers as much as the employees that put my daughter's life in danger by sending her out on the road in a car with a clearly damaged tire, the manager of the store CALLED ME instead of emailing, left a message, didn't try a 2nd time, and NEVER emailed. So now they get a poor review (I'd give them 0 stars if I could) and all of my family and friends have been advised to AVOID THE BURIEN FIRESTONE. In addition, I've applied for credit at 2 of their competitors and will be taking my business to those establishments for the foreseeable future. The Bellevue Firestone MIGHT get my business again at some point (because James and Bruce are awesome) but .... (a) it won't be anytime soon, and (b) the BURIEN location NEVER WILL. Period. These people are big time Scammers!! I went in on the 25th of January 2015 because my brakes were making noise. After getting an inspection they told me that all of my brakes and rotors were perfect, but my Caliper on my rear wheel was froze and needed to be replaced. That was going to cost me $300 + to get it done. I left and said that I would make an appointment for it. I was very happy with them because I thought, hey they could have lied to me and told me I needed new pads on all of my wheels, but they didn't . Against my better judgment, they were honest. and I thought finally I found a place that will treat women right and not try to scam them. They would for now on get all of my business....Then the following week Feb. 2 2015 I came back in because there was a lot of red oil leaking from my car. They checked my car and told me that my transmission fluid pan was damaged possibly by some rocks and that's why it was leaking They even showed me the dings in the pan, while it was still attached to the car. The cost to fix this would be another $300+. but since they had to order the parts, I had to wait a couple of days, but was told NOT to drive if possible. So again I left feeling like they really cared and I love this place. Now here is where the SCAM comes in.. When I got home I called around to AutoZone and Orielys to see if I could find the Transmission oil pan, Gaskets and filter. And I found all of them at one of those stores and prices were 3times cheaper than what I was quoted at firestone. So I bought the parts and took them to Matrix auto repair in Des Moines . Matrix was great first they told me that since I had the parts, that I would only be charged $75.00 for the labor. Then as they proceeded to do the work, the mechanic came to me and showed me my old Transmission oil pan and said that it was NOT leaking at all. The dings were totally normal since it is located underneath my car. The Real problem was that someone put the "gasket" on incorrectly and that's why it was leaking. So he gave me back the oil pan, so I could return it for a refund and he just put on the new gasket... I haven't had one leak since. .... Now the other issue was My Calipers... so now that I knew I couldn't trust Firestone people, I took my car into Mieneke for a free brake inspection and I told them that Firestone told me last week that my Pads and Rotors were perfect but my Caliper had seized. (I told them this AFTER they finished their own inspection of course) Mieneki 's inspection revealed that my rear wheels needed brake pads and new rotors, but my Calipers were fine..Hmmmm another flat out lie by Firestone. So I purchased the Rotors and pads and went back to Matrix auto repair in Des moines. Matrix guys told me that they would check everything themselves and install what I needed. Guess what? Meineki was right and Firestone were once again proven to be scammers. So I got the brakes fixed and since I already purchased the parts, I was only charged $110 for labor. I also, while telling my story, I unintentionally spoke to some ex mechanics from Firestone and they said that they were told to say thing needed to get fix when it didn't because that boosted their sales and earnings. Seriously I had three different ex employees tell me that and all three of them have no reason to lie to me. Besides, based on my experience.. I have no choice but to believe it. So Please save your money and stay far away from Firestone. It doesn't matter how nice they are to you.. they don't give a damn about you.. Just your money!! read more

I recently had to have some diagnostic "stuff" done on my truck. I had taken it to another place and didn't trust anything that was coming out of that mechanics mouth.. I brought my truck to firestone in burien and had a diagnosis done on the issues.. they were honest and spent the time to explain to me the issues.. they didn't treat me like a dumb girl..just a valued customer! Absolutely awful service!! Needed a tire repaired (a screw was in my tire). I was told by a very rude employee (seemed as if he was the lead or perhaps a manager) that my tire could not be repaired AND that I would need to purchase 4 brand new tires because my car is AWD. I was quite certain this was not correct given my tires are like new. I took my tire to Les Schwab, who (of course, because they are always so amazing and have THE BEST customer service) was able to repair the tire. Not only did they repair the tire, but they also informed me I would NOT have needed 4 new tires because the tread on my tires was 10/32nds and to need 4 new tires the tread would need to be 4/32nds or less. THANK YOU LES SCHWAB!! I will NEVER, EVER DO business with Firestone again. After speaking with several co-workers I realized I am not the only person who has had a negative experience with this company - this company as well as this location. Terrible!!!! read more

Last week my car was showing dash light so I drove into Firestone Burien when I saw a sign saying free engine light reading. I was there at 3pm and after checking the codes they said I need to pay 99 dollars for full diagnostics. I agreed and they said their technician was going home soon so I said I will leave my car and get it fixed tomorrow. In the morning I receive a call saying that I need to pay 1400 to get everything fixed. I asked them what the problem was and found out that my cars Camshaft position sensor was dead so I told them to change that and nothing else. They agreed and bought my bill down to $350. Service was fast and that made me curious as if the bill was accurate. To my surprise they charged me for the part $129.99 which is sold by autozone for 58.99. I even didn't feel that the labor rate of $120 for fixing the sensor was legit either. I don't believe that Firestone Burien is honest in pricing and is overcharging the consumers. read more

I have been using firestone for servicing my familys 6 cars and have been to many firestone location. The location in Burien and the management is worse that I have come across in the chain of firestone branches. I was out of town and called the firstone in burien to see if they could do a brake job on my front wheels and also an oil change. They told me that they would do both for me as long as i dropped the car to them within half an hour. I asked my son to drop the car to firestone so that they can do the front brakes and change the oil so that the car can be picked up in the evening when I returned. I went to pick up the car and was helped by the Branch manager. He told me the total cost was approxmately $340 . I requested for a breakdown of the cost. He told me that the breakdown receipt will only print when he had processed my payment. This did not make sense to me however I gave the card to him and he processsed the payment. He stapled the paper work togather and told me that I was ready to go. I told him that I would like to go over the breakdown of the cost before leaving the counter. when I had a chance to look at the breakdown, I found that there was a vehicle inspection fee of $24.99. I requested for an expalnation for this charge as the inspection was not authorized by me. I told the manager that I had specifically requested for them to do the front brakes and change the oil and nothing else. I told him that inspection fee was not authorized and should not be charged. He became very aggressive and asked me as to why I was disputing the charge as it was mere $9.99 after a discount that was applied. I told him that the amount was not an issue but the reasoning behind the charge was not justified. He became very defensive and told me that there were other discounts that were given to me for this particular transaction and that he will take those discounts away because I was disputing a charge which in my opinion was not justified. He did not want to make any compromise and continously challenged me to justify why i was disputing a charge and not disputing the discounts given to me. I told him that because he was very aggressive and did not understand my concerns, I would pay $24.99 but never come to his facility again. He said "YOU ARE MOST WELCOMED". I told him that I will bring this issue up with the corporate office and he said " Most Certainly". Makes me wonder how many other customers would be paying for these unjustified charges that are not available for discussions because the business is hesitant to discuss the breakdown of the cost before processing the payment. read more
