This place is awesome! I've probably been here around 10 times and it's always been a great experience. Consistency is key. Their entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, and seem happy with their jobs. They also always go over additional services that your vehicle may need but are never pushy about making the sale. Their lines get long so I try to go on weekdays between 1:00 and 3:00. First visit to Pit Stop in Burien after obtaining a discount coupon from Groupon. Watching intently, I could see the service personnel were dedicated and conscientious. There were four workers and everyone accomplished their respective task in a timely manner. Oil & filter changed, interior of vehicle vacuumed, windows (exterior) wiped down and everyone moved with efficiency. One of the workers came to show me a placard with white circles with a few drops of automatic transmission fluid explaining that it needed to be changed. Explained to him I would make an appointment for that service as soon as financially possible ($200+ quoted). Great overall experience and I would continue to drive the extra mileage to service our car at Pit Stop. read more

I really appreciate the people that work here, and always feel like my car is being taken care of. More than that, they've gone out of their way to help me on more than one occasion when they didn't receive extra money for it (like when I drove in after the plastic guard underneath my car became dislodged). I expect my oil change to take 45-60minutes, and the same is true here. But I really enjoy being able to stay in my car. I do want to compliment their team. I called this place after being disappointed by the customer service of competitors. Grease Monkey wasn't open during advertised hours. Jiffy Lube isn't open on Sundays. Pep Boys wasted an hour of my time, calling right before the appointment I had scheduled online to tell me that they couldn't honor it. Ricardo answered the phone right away at Pit Stop. He let me know that it's a first come, first served system but that he anticipated that I could get my oil changed today. He asked me a couple of questions about my car and what it needed, then quoted how much my two options would cost. I drove right over, was seen quickly, and paid the reasonable fee. In trying to deal with VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE, that has taken the Pit Stop over, I'm already less than impressed. They have removed the phone so there is no way to call this location in spite of the fact that the VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE website shows that the phone number is still the same as the Pit Stop #. Yep, no phone if you can believe that. I went there and asked since the phone just rang and rang. And calling the VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE # (800-327-8242) was a waste of time. By the time I finally got someone they were clueless. Also, the website doesn't even bother to mention their operating hours. I have previously left a 4-star rating when it was a Pit Stop. Now Ricardo and the great Pit Stop team are MIA. Real bummer. read more

I wanted to like these guys, but the more I think about how they handled my car, the more I want you to know to be on the lookout. Came here off a Groupon. It was good for a basic oil change. My VW is Diesel, so it runs on a Euro Synthetic blend. Knowing this, I brought my own oil, not to be charged $50 for what is really $20 worth of oil. I called ahead to make sure they had the filter and was told all I had to do was show up. Showed up, everyone was nice, and my car was pulled in. Once service stated, a guy came in and asked me, "Hey did I speak with you yesterday". I told him, I spoke with someone. He said, so we are cool on price? I said, we didn't talk price. You told me, there would be additional cost for oil, and I told you I would bring my own. I asked if you had the filter, and you said yes. Ye said, "Oh, I guess I didn't tell you that there would be a $4 filter fee". Now, my VW is 20 years old, so I have had more oil changes than most since most people don't keep a car that long, and I have NEVER been charged extra for a filter. I told him, I guess I don't have a choice and he said they would have my car right out. #1 I was charged for something I have never been charged for before #2 Even after bringing my own oil, no discount or courtesy, like the filter was given #3, Knowing I was unhappy, they let me leave. $4 used to get you full at Taco Bell, today, you are lucky to even start to satisfy yourself with $4. These guys however earned a poor review and the word is out on the street that they aren't the most trustworthy, dependable or ethical people on the planet. read more

If you like to get your pocket drained with out getting the proper service go to pit stop in burien . One of them came out to greet me and said he will check what I need and go from there. In probably 2 minutes he came back and said I need 3 transmission fluids. He already has started draining the fluid with out my consent. I always supply my own motor oil/filters whenever I have my oil changes done on my vehicles. This way I know exactly what's going in my car; quality parts. Pit Stop will not honor their Groupon with customer supplied parts. They claimed they will lose money by doing so. What they meant was by doing so, they can't rip their customers off. They were however willing to charge me full price to use my parts and not theirs. All reputable auto shops that I've ever been to love it when I supply my own parts and pay for just their labor, these guys do not. I find this very suspicious. After discovering that Jiffy Lube broke the canister cap on my brand new 2019 Jeep Cherokee during my previous oil change (the second one the car had ever had and the second time damaging one of my vehicles), the guys at the Pit Stop went above and beyond to get me back on the road again without an expensive tow. This meant tracking down the part (not easy because my car is so new) and then picking it up. Once they had the replacement, they continued with my oil change and I was out to door within 15 mins. This place def lived up to their customer reviews on Groupon. The service was fantastic--Juan was helpful and friendly as was the other technician who cashed me out. The waiting room was clean, and they even had chairs out side to enjoy on a nice day. The bathroom was most impressive for this type of establishment. It was huge and clean and smelled fresh. I got a groupon for here and you're allowed to use one as often as once a month. This is a bit of a drive from Seattle but I think I'll be worth it to me to come here from now on for my services chances. I have come here on and off for years. Sometimes it's a miss and sometimes I get the best service I could ask for. The last two times I have come in Ricardo and his team were welcoming and helpful. Took advantage of my mother In law I have no problem with the up-sale in the oil but to recommend a $250 transmission service is not cool. I went to Grease Monkey for the service since it's $100 less there and they told me it was not needed. So I went to a professional Transmission shop Kings Transmission's on 4th ave. They said the same thing it's sad. I know business is hard on everyone I know my business is shut down due to covid. But taking advantage of anyone but especially the elderly on set income and woman is low. I've been to this shop many times I guess I've never needed tranny service or they knew better. I came back showed them photos from the other shop and the business card of the transmission shop and asked if they had any suggestions to resolve this the manager had none I asked for a refund for the oil change nope, I asked for gift certificate for future service nope. I was hoping to include on my review that they had some ethics to fix the issue but no. Lol, reason I decided to go here in comparison to the other two car shops I checked out as a customer for my personal experience, first thing I HAVE to look into is the customer service they have provided for their customer satisfaction OR at least the best compared to the rest. And when it comes to price, it doesn't really bother me. And it's not the workers fault that it's a certain price, blahblah. ANYWAYS, awesome customer service. I will be definitely coming back, of course we all want to feel welcome and appreciated as being their customer. Especially when they provide you with extra important information for further reference about your car and give enough pretty helpful insight about your car. //// obviously you can tell the workers care about providing us all great service! I mean, it's common sense unless you completely are knowledgeable about cars in general as knowing that the place is "totally" ripping you off. Then maybe you can talk, haha! We all know when a worker hates their jobs by their service. Guys, don't forget about the labor work these employees put into fixing your cars. This place should be avoided at all costs. Very dishonest people. I was told that the filter needed to be shipped in from a far away land and it therefore cost $30 more than any other filter AND I needed an unusual amount of oil. When I think about it again, it's pretty comical how they think a person/woman could be stupid enough to believe anything. I'm sure the filter and oil needed to come from Germany since it was a BMW? That all makes sense and paying $170 plus tax is such a great deal considering you happen to have it in stock today! Told them engine and cabin air filters were fine. Specifically only oil change. Guy came into waiting area with cabin air filter to show me the filter "wasn't too bad" but could change it. No thanks. Who ever put oil sticker on scratched/tear up my windshield sun protection film. Also sticker is barely hanging because who ever put it there had oil on the hands (Ricardo "the boss"). I'm kind of pissed. When I return to try to see what we can do about it they told me that I did it and that is glue from old sticker, then trying to proof that, he scratch it even more!!!! Horrible! Ironic after truck front differential done and it never has had an issue for over 10 years and all a sudden leaks now. Ironic after car oil service done was told they only had expensive band then guy claims look like someone mess with my engine but wouldn't say what exactly yet says he knew a guy that works on cars. Car had no issues all year then mysteriously breaks down days later and needs a whole new oil pump plus other things. My senses tell me there is corruption goin in in there and must be broke if having to sabotage people's cars and trucks for more service money etc..... won't ever ever go here again and would sue yet need more proof to show a judge and a sick sense even tho bad things happen isn't enough to file law suit. For the most part I've only ever gotten oil changes from here. I moved to the area in 2014 and I've had 3 different cars over that time. They've handled each car with care! Every time I come in to get an oil change I can trust the staff and rely on them to be informative and professional. When I came in earlier it was busy-ish but they still got my car done in a good amount of time. Jose is awesome! Very personable, professional and always does a great job. I 10/10 recommend. Although I do feel a little guilty when I forget to clean out my sons toys, blankets and random belongings because they vacuum out your car as well! read more
